Surah 55 • 79 Verses • Arabic, English & Kiswahili

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴿١﴾
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ ﴿٢﴾
The Most Merciful,
عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ ﴿٣﴾
Taught the Qur'an,
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ ﴿٤﴾
Created man,
عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ ﴿٥﴾
Taught him eloquence,
ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍۢ ﴿٦﴾
The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation,
وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ ﴿٧﴾
And the stars and trees prostrate,
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ ﴿٨﴾
And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance,
أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ ﴿٩﴾
That you not transgress within the balance,
وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ ﴿١٠﴾
And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance.
وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ ﴿١١﴾
And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures,
فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌۭ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ ﴿١٢﴾
Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates],
وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ ﴿١٣﴾
Grains with husks and fragrant plants.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿١٤﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍۢ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ ﴿١٥﴾
He created man from clay like [that of] pottery.
وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍۢ مِّن نَّارٍۢ ﴿١٦﴾
And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿١٧﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ ﴿١٨﴾
Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿١٩﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ ﴿٢٠﴾
He released the two seas, meeting [side by side];
بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌۭ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ ﴿٢١﴾
Between them is a barrier [so] they do not transgress.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٢٢﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ ﴿٢٣﴾
From both of them emerge pearl and coral.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٢٤﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ ﴿٢٥﴾
And to Him belong the ships reared up in the sea like mountains.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٢٦﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍۢ ﴿٢٧﴾
Everyone upon it [the earth] will perish.
وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ ﴿٢٨﴾
But the face of your Lord will remain, full of majesty and honor.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٢٩﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍۢ ﴿٣٠﴾
Everyone in the heavens and the earth asks Him; every day He is in [some] affair.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣١﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ ﴿٣٢﴾
We will attend to you, O prominent beings.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣٣﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍۢ ﴿٣٤﴾
O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass; you will not pass except by authority.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣٥﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌۭ مِّن نَّارٍۢ وَنُحَاسٌۭ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ ﴿٣٦﴾
Blazing fire and molten brass will be sent upon you, and you will not defend yourselves.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣٧﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةًۭ كَٱلدِّهَانِ ﴿٣٨﴾
Then when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oil,
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٣٩﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌۭ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ ﴿٤٠﴾
On that Day no human or jinn will be asked about his sin.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٤١﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ ﴿٤٢﴾
The criminals will be recognized by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٤٣﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ﴿٤٤﴾
This is Hell, which the criminals deny.
يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍۢ ﴿٤٥﴾
They will circulate between it and boiling water.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٤٦﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ ﴿٤٧﴾
But for he who fears the standing before his Lord, there are two gardens.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٤٨﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍۢ ﴿٤٩﴾
Having branches spreading out,
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥٠﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ ﴿٥١﴾
In them are two flowing springs.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥٢﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍۢ زَوْجَانِ ﴿٥٣﴾
In both of them are fruits of every kind, in pairs.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥٤﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍۢ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍۢ ﴿٥٥﴾
Reclining on furnishings whose linings are of silk, and the fruits of the two gardens are near at hand.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥٦﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيهِنَّ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌۭ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ ﴿٥٧﴾
In them are chaste companions, whom no man or jinn has touched before them.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٥٨﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ ﴿٥٩﴾
As if they were rubies and coral.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦٠﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ ﴿٦١﴾
Is there any reward for good other than good?
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦٢﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ ﴿٦٣﴾
And besides them, there are two other gardens.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦٤﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ ﴿٦٥﴾
Dark green (in color).
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦٦﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ ﴿٦٧﴾
In them are two gushing springs.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٦٨﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيهِمَا فَـٰكِهَةٌۭ وَنَخْلٌۭ وَرُمَّانٌۭ ﴿٦٩﴾
In them are fruits, date-palms, and pomegranates.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٧٠﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌۭ ﴿٧١﴾
In them are goodly and beautiful ones.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٧٢﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
حُورٌۭ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌۭ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ ﴿٧٣﴾
Fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, secluded in pavilions.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٧٤﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌۭ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ ﴿٧٥﴾
No human has touched them before them, nor any jinn.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٧٦﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍۢ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍۢ ﴿٧٧﴾
Reclining on green cushions and beautiful carpets.
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ﴿٧٨﴾
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ ﴿٧٩﴾
Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.
