In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Ḥā Mīm.
By the clear Book,
Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind].
Therein is made distinct every precise matter –
A command from Us. Indeed, We were to send [a messenger].
[As] mercy from your Lord. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
The Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, if you should be certain.
There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers.
But they are in doubt, playing around.
So watch for the Day when the sky will bring a clear smoke.
Enveloping the people; this will be a painful punishment.
They will say: 'Our Lord, remove the punishment from us; indeed, we are believers.'
How can they be reminded, when a clear Messenger had already come to them?
Then they turned away from him and said, 'He is taught, a madman.'
Indeed, We will remove the punishment a little; indeed, you will return (to disbelief).
On the Day We will strike with the greatest assault—indeed, We will take retribution.
And We had already tested before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble Messenger.
Saying: 'Hand over to me the servants of Allah. Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy Messenger.'
And [saying], 'Do not exalt yourselves against Allah. Indeed, I have come to you with clear authority.'
And indeed, I have sought refuge with my Lord and your Lord, lest you stone me.
But if you do not believe me, then keep away from me.
So he called upon his Lord, 'Indeed, these are a criminal people.'
So set out with My servants by night. Indeed, you will be pursued.
And leave the sea in stillness; indeed, they are an army to be drowned.
How many gardens and springs did they leave behind,
And crops and noble dwellings,
And comfort wherein they were rejoicing.
Thus. And We caused another people to inherit them.
And the heaven and earth wept not for them, nor were they reprieved.
And We certainly delivered the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment,
From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was haughty and among the transgressors.
And We certainly chose them knowingly over all peoples.
And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial.
Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying,
There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected.
Then bring back our forefathers, if you should be truthful.
Are they better or the people of Tubbaʿ and those before them? We destroyed them, indeed, they were criminals.
And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in play.
We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know.
Indeed, the Day of Judgement is their appointed time, all together.
The day when no intercessor will avail anyone, nor will they be helped.
Except for whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
Indeed, the tree of Zaqqum
is the food of the sinful.
Like molten brass, boiling in the bellies.
Like the boiling of scalding water.
Take him and drag him into the midst of Hell.
Then pour over his head the torment of boiling water.
Taste [it], indeed you are the Mighty, the Noble?
Indeed, this is what you used to doubt.
Indeed, the righteous will be in a secure place
In gardens and springs
They will wear garments of fine silk and brocade, facing one another.
Thus, We will marry them to fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes.
They will call therein for every fruit in peace and security.
They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will protect them from the torment of Hell.
A bounty from your Lord. That is the great attainment.
We have only made it easy in your language so that they may take heed.
So be patient. Indeed, they are awaiting.
