Surah 43 • 90 Verses • Arabic, English & Kiswahili
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
﴿١﴾
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
حمٓ
﴿٢﴾
Ha Meem.
وَٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ
﴿٣﴾
By the clear Book,
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَـٰهُ قُرْءَٰنًا عَرَبِيًّۭا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ
﴿٤﴾
Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Qur’an that you may understand.
وَإِنَّهُۥ فِىٓ أُمِّ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِىٌّ حَكِيمٌ
﴿٥﴾
And indeed it is, in the Mother of the Book with Us, exalted, full of wisdom.
أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنكُمُ ٱلذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَن كُنتُمْ قَوْمًۭا مُّسْرِفِينَ
﴿٦﴾
Shall We then leave you in heedlessness because you are a transgressing people?
وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن نَّبِىٍّۢ فِى ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
﴿٧﴾
And how many a messenger We sent among the former peoples!
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن نَّبِىٍّ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
﴿٨﴾
And no messenger came to them but they used to ridicule him.
فَأَهْلَكْنَآ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًۭا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
﴿٩﴾
So We destroyed those who were mightier in power than them; the example of the former peoples has passed.
وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
﴿١٠﴾
And if you ask them who created the heavens and the earth, they will surely say, 'The Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing created them.'
ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ مَهْدًۭا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًۭا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ
﴿١١﴾
He who made the earth a cradle for you and made for you roads therein that you may be guided.
وَٱلَّذِى نَزَّلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۢ بِقَدَرٍۢ فَأَنشَرْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةًۭ مَّيْتًۭا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ
﴿١٢﴾
And He it is who sends down water from the sky in measure, and We revive therewith a dead land; thus will you be brought forth.
وَٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْفُلْكِ وَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ
﴿١٣﴾
And He created all pairs and made for you from the ships and cattle that which you ride.
لِتَسْتَوُۥا۟ عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِۦ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا ٱسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا۟ سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَـٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُۥ مُقْرِنِينَ
﴿١٤﴾
That you may sit firmly upon their backs and remember the favor of your Lord when you sit upon them, and say, 'Exalted is He who subjected this to us, and we could never have it done.'
وَإِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ
﴿١٥﴾
And indeed to our Lord we shall return.
وَجَعَلُوا۟ لَهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ جُزْءًا ۚ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَكَفُورٌۭ مُّبِينٌ
﴿١٦﴾
And they made from His servants a portion (as partners); indeed, mankind is manifestly ungrateful.
أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ بَنَاتٍۢ وَأَصْفَىٰكُم بِٱلْبَنِينَ
﴿١٧﴾
Or has He taken daughters from what He created and preferred you with sons?
وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِمَا ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مَثَلًۭا ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُۥ مُسْوَدًّۭا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ
﴿١٨﴾
And when one of them is given glad tidings of what he has likened to the Most Merciful, his face darkens and he is filled with resentment.
أَوَمَن يُنَشَّؤُا۟ فِى ٱلْحِلْيَةِ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلْخِصَامِ غَيْرُ مُبِينٍۢ
﴿١٩﴾
Or is he who is raised in adornment, while he is in evident dispute, not clear?
وَجَعَلُوا۟ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَـٰدُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ إِنَـٰثًا ۚ أَشَهِدُوا۟ خَلْقَهُمْ ۚ سَتُكْتَبُ شَهَـٰدَتُهُمْ وَيُسْـَٔلُونَ
﴿٢٠﴾
And they made the angels, who are servants of the Most Merciful, females. They bear witness to their creation; their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.
وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْ شَآءَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ مَا عَبَدْنَـٰهُم ۗ مَّا لَهُم بِذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ
﴿٢١﴾
And they say, 'Had the Most Merciful willed, we would not have worshiped them.' They have no knowledge of that; they do nothing but conjecture.
أَمْ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ كِتَـٰبًۭا مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ فَهُمْ بِهِۦ مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ
﴿٢٢﴾
Or have We given them a Book before this, which they hold fast to?
بَلْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٍۢ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَـٰرِهِم مُّهْتَدُونَ
﴿٢٣﴾
Rather, they say: 'We found our fathers upon a community, and we are guided in their footsteps.'
وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِى قَرْيَةٍۢ مِّن نَّذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَآ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا عَلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٍۢ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَـٰرِهِم مُّقْتَدُونَ
﴿٢٤﴾
Thus We sent not a warner to any city but its wealthy said, 'We found our fathers upon a community, and we follow in their footsteps.'
قَـٰلَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكُم بِأَهْدَىٰ مِمَّا وَجَدْتُّمْ عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا بِمَآ أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِۦ كَـٰفِرُونَ
﴿٢٥﴾
He said: 'Even if I came to you with guidance better than that which you found your fathers following?' They said: 'We disbelieve in what you were sent with.'
فَٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ ۖ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
﴿٢٦﴾
So We took retribution from them; see how was the end of the deniers.
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَٰهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنَّنِى بَرَآءٌۭ مِّمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ
﴿٢٧﴾
And when Abraham said to his father and his people, 'Indeed, I am disassociated from what you worship.'
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِى فَإِنَّهُۥ سَيَهْدِينِ
﴿٢٨﴾
Except He who created me; and He will guide me.
وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةًۢ بَاقِيَةًۭ فِى عَقِبِهِۦ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
﴿٢٩﴾
And He made it a lasting word among his descendants, that they might return.
بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ
﴿٣٠﴾
But I gave enjoyment to these and their fathers until there came to them the truth and a clear messenger.
وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ قَالُوا۟ هَـٰذَا سِحْرٌۭ وَإِنَّا بِهِۦ كَـٰفِرُونَ
﴿٣١﴾
And when the truth came to them, they said: 'This is magic, and indeed we are disbelievers in it.'
وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْقَرْيَتَيْنِ عَظِيمٍ
﴿٣٢﴾
And they said: 'Why was this Quran not sent down upon a great man of either of the two cities?'
أَهُمْ يَقْسِمُونَ رَحْمَتَ رَبِّكَ ۚ نَحْنُ قَسَمْنَا بَيْنَهُم مَّعِيشَتَهُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ وَرَفَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍۢ دَرَجَـٰتٍۢ لِّيَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُهُم بَعْضًۭا سُخْرِيًّۭا ۗ وَرَحْمَتُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌۭ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ
﴿٣٣﴾
Do they distribute the mercy of your Lord? We have apportioned their livelihood in this life and raised some above others in ranks, that some may employ others in service. But the mercy of your Lord is better than what they amass.
وَلَوْلَآ أَن يَكُونَ ٱلنَّاسُ أُمَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ لَّجَعَلْنَا لِمَن يَكْفُرُ بِٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ لِبُيُوتِهِمْ سُقُفًۭا مِّن فِضَّةٍۢ وَمَعَارِجَ عَلَيْهَا يَظْهَرُونَ
﴿٣٤﴾
And if not that people would be one community, We would have made for those who disbelieve in the Most Merciful, roofs of silver for their houses and stairways upon which they would ascend.
وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَبْوَٰبًۭا وَسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِـُٔونَ
﴿٣٥﴾
And for their houses [are] doors and thrones upon which they will recline.
وَزُخْرُفًۭا ۚ وَإِن كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَـٰعُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
﴿٣٦﴾
And [provide them] ornaments; yet all that is but the enjoyment of worldly life. But the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous.
وَمَن يَعْشُ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُۥ شَيْطَـٰنًۭا فَهُوَ لَهُۥ قَرِينٌۭ
﴿٣٧﴾
And whoever turns away from the remembrance of the Most Merciful, We appoint for him a devil, and he becomes his companion.
وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ
﴿٣٨﴾
And indeed, they obstruct them from the way, while they think that they are guided.
حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَنَا قَالَ يَـٰلَيْتَ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ ٱلْقَرِينُ
﴿٣٩﴾
Until, when he comes to Us, he will say: 'Would that between me and you were the distance of the two Easts! How evil is the companion.'
وَلَن يَنفَعَكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِذ ظَّلَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ
﴿٤٠﴾
And it will not benefit you today that you wronged, that you are in the punishment sharing.
أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ أَوْ تَهْدِى ٱلْعُمْىَ وَمَن كَانَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ
﴿٤١﴾
So can you make the deaf hear, or guide the blind and one who is in clear error?
فَإِمَّا نَذْهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَإِنَّا مِنْهُم مُّنتَقِمُونَ
﴿٤٢﴾
Then either We will remove you, indeed We are to them avengers.
أَوْ نُرِيَنَّكَ ٱلَّذِى وَعَدْنَـٰهُمْ فَإِنَّا عَلَيْهِم مُّقْتَدِرُونَ
﴿٤٣﴾
Or We will show you that which We have promised them; indeed We are powerful over them.
فَٱسْتَمْسِكْ بِٱلَّذِىٓ أُوحِىَ إِلَيْكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
﴿٤٤﴾
So hold firmly to what has been revealed to you. Indeed, you are on a straight path.
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَذِكْرٌۭ لَّكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَ ۖ وَسَوْفَ تُسْـَٔلُونَ
﴿٤٥﴾
And indeed, it is a reminder for you and your people, and you will be questioned.
وَسْـَٔلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رُّسُلِنَآ أَجَعَلْنَا مِن دُونِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ءَالِهَةًۭ يُعْبَدُونَ
﴿٤٦﴾
And ask those We sent before you from Our messengers: Did We make other gods to be worshiped besides the Most Merciful?
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ فَقَالَ إِنِّى رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
﴿٤٧﴾
And indeed We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs. He said: 'Indeed I am a messenger of the Lord of the worlds.'
فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُم بِـَٔايَاتِنَآ إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَضْحَكُونَ
﴿٤٨﴾
But when he brought them Our signs, behold, they laughed at them.
وَمَا نُرِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍ إِلَّا هِىَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا ۖ وَأَخَذْنَـٰهُم بِٱلْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
﴿٤٩﴾
And We show them not any sign but that it is greater than its sister, and We seized them with the punishment that they might return.
وَقَالُوا۟ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَ ٱلسَّاحِرُ ٱدْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِندَكَ إِنَّنَا لَمُهْتَدُونَ
﴿٥٠﴾
And they said: 'O magician, invoke for us your Lord by what He promised you. Indeed we will be guided.'
فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ إِذَا هُمْ يَنكُثُونَ
﴿٥١﴾
But when We removed from them the punishment, behold, they broke their promise.
وَنَادَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى قَوْمِهِۦ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ أَلَيْسَ لِى مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهَـٰذِهِ ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِىٓ ۖ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
﴿٥٢﴾
And Pharaoh cried to his people, saying: 'O my people! Is not my kingdom of Egypt, and these rivers running beneath me? Will you not then see?'
أَمْ أَنَا۠ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى هُوَ مَهِينٌۭ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُبِينُ
﴿٥٣﴾
Or am I better than this, who is insignificant and hardly expresses anything?
فَلَوْلَآ أُلْقِىَ عَلَيْهِ أَسْوِرَةٌۭ مِّن ذَهَبٍ أَوْ جَآءَ مَعَهُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ مُقْتَرِنِينَ
﴿٥٤﴾
Why were not gold bracelets cast upon him or did the angels accompany him in attendance?
فَٱسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُۥ فَأَطَاعُوهُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۭا فَـٰسِقِينَ
﴿٥٥﴾
So he made his people follow him, and they obeyed him. Indeed, they were a sinful people.
فَلَمَّآ ءَاسَفُونَا ٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
﴿٥٦﴾
So when they grieved Us, We took vengeance upon them and drowned them all.
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ سَلَفًۭا وَمَثَلًۭا لِّلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
﴿٥٧﴾
And We made them a precedent and an example for the later generations.
وَلَمَّا ضُرِبَ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ مَثَلًا إِذَا قَوْمُكَ مِنْهُ يَصِدُّونَ
﴿٥٨﴾
And when the son of Mary was presented as an example, behold, your people turned away from him.
وَقَالُوٓا۟ ءَأَـٰلِهَتُنَا خَيْرٌ أَمْ هُوَ ۚ مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ إِلَّا جَدَلًۢا ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ
﴿٥٩﴾
And they said: 'Are our gods better or is he?' They only dispute with you. Rather, they are a disputing people.
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا عَبْدٌ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ مَثَلًۭا لِّبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
﴿٦٠﴾
He was but a servant upon whom We bestowed favor and made him an example for the Children of Israel.
وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلْنَا مِنكُم مَّلَـٰٓئِكَةًۭ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يَخْلُفُونَ
﴿٦١﴾
And if We willed, We could have made from among you angels on the earth succeeding each other.
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَعِلْمٌۭ لِّلسَّاعَةِ فَلَا تَمْتَرُنَّ بِهَا وَٱتَّبِعُونِ ۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَٰطٌۭ مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭ
﴿٦٢﴾
And indeed, it [Jesus] is a knowledge of the Hour, so do not doubt it, and follow Me. This is a straight path.
وَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ مُّبِينٌۭ
﴿٦٣﴾
And let not the Satan avert you. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.
وَلَمَّا جَآءَ عِيسَىٰ بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ قَالَ قَدْ جِئْتُكُم بِٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَلِأُبَيِّنَ لَكُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى تَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
﴿٦٤﴾
And when Jesus brought the clear proofs, he said: 'I have come to you with wisdom to make clear to you some of that about which you differ. So fear Allah and obey me.'
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَٰطٌۭ مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭ
﴿٦٥﴾
Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path.
فَٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمٍ أَلِيمٍ
﴿٦٦﴾
But the factions among them differed. So woe to those who do wrong from the punishment of a painful day.
هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةًۭ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
﴿٦٧﴾
Do they await except the Hour to come upon them suddenly while they perceive not?
ٱلْأَخِلَّآءُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
﴿٦٨﴾
On that Day, close friends will be enemies to each other except for the righteous.
يَـٰعِبَادِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ وَلَآ أَنتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ
﴿٦٩﴾
O My servants, no fear shall be upon you today, nor shall you grieve.
ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا وَكَانُوا۟ مُسْلِمِينَ
﴿٧٠﴾
Who believed in Our signs and were submissive.
ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ أَنتُمْ وَأَزْوَٰجُكُمْ تُحْبَرُونَ
﴿٧١﴾
Enter Paradise, you and your spouses, in rejoicing.
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِصِحَافٍۢ مِّن ذَهَبٍۢ وَأَكْوَابٍۢ ۖ وَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ ٱلْأَنفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ ٱلْأَعْيُنُ ۖ وَأَنتُمْ فِيهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ
﴿٧٢﴾
They will be served with plates of gold and cups, and therein will be whatever their souls desire and delights for the eyes, and you will abide therein forever.
وَتِلْكَ ٱلْجَنَّةُ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
﴿٧٣﴾
And that is Paradise which you are made to inherit because of what you used to do.
لَكُمْ فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌۭ كَثِيرَةٌۭ مِّنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ
﴿٧٤﴾
Therein is abundant fruit for you to eat.
إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدُونَ
﴿٧٥﴾
Indeed, the criminals will be in the punishment of Hell, abiding eternally.
لَا يُفَتَّرُ عَنْهُمْ وَهُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ
﴿٧٦﴾
They will not be released from it, and they will be therein in despair.
وَمَا ظَلَمْنَـٰهُمْ وَلَـٰكِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
﴿٧٧﴾
And We did not wrong them, but they were the wrongdoers.
وَنَادَوْا۟ يَـٰمَـٰلِكُ لِيَقْضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّـٰكِثُونَ
﴿٧٨﴾
And they will call, 'O Malik, let your Lord put an end to us.' He will say, 'Indeed, you will remain.'
لَقَدْ جِئْنَـٰكُم بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَـٰرِهُونَ
﴿٧٩﴾
Indeed, We have brought you the truth, but most of you dislike the truth.
أَمْ أَبْرَمُوا۟ أَمْرًۭا فَإِنَّا مُبْرِمُونَ
﴿٨٠﴾
Or have they resolved a matter? Indeed, We are Resolute.
أَمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّا لَا نَسْمَعُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوَىٰهُمْ ۚ بَلَىٰ وَرُسُلُنَا لَدَيْهِمْ يَكْتُبُونَ
﴿٨١﴾
Or do they think that We do not hear their secret conversations and private counsels? Yes indeed, Our messengers record them with them.
قُلْ إِن كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ وَلَدٌۭ فَأَنَا۠ أَوَّلُ ٱلْعَـٰبِدِينَ
﴿٨٢﴾
Say: If the Most Merciful had a son, then I would be the first of the worshippers.
سُبْحَـٰنَ رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
﴿٨٣﴾
Glory be to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.
فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا۟ وَيَلْعَبُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يُلَـٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ
﴿٨٤﴾
So leave them to indulge and play until they meet their day which they are promised.
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَـٰهٌۭ وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَـٰهٌۭ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
﴿٨٥﴾
And He is the God in the heavens and the God on the earth; and He is the Wise, the Knowing.
وَتَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَعِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
﴿٨٦﴾
Blessed is He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them; and to Him is knowledge of the Hour, and to Him you will be returned.
وَلَا يَمْلِكُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَن شَهِدَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
﴿٨٧﴾
And those whom they invoke besides Him cannot intercede except he who bears witness to the truth and they know it.
وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ
﴿٨٨﴾
And if you were to ask them who created them, they would surely say, 'Allah.' Then how are they deluded?
وَقِيلِهِۦ يَـٰرَبِّ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمٌۭ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ
﴿٨٩﴾
And [mention] His saying: 'O my Lord, indeed these are a people who do not believe.'
فَٱصْفَحْ عَنْهُمْ وَقُلْ سَلَـٰمٌۭ ۚ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
﴿٩٠﴾
So overlook them and say, 'Peace.' Soon they will know.
