Surah 37 • 182 Verses • Arabic, English & Kiswahili
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
﴿١﴾
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
وَٱلصَّـٰٓفَّـٰتِ صَفًّۭا
﴿٢﴾
By those [angels] lined up in rows,
فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ زَجْرًۭا
﴿٣﴾
And those who drive [the clouds] violently,
فَٱلتَّـٰلِيَـٰتِ ذِكْرًا
﴿٤﴾
And those who recite the Reminder,
إِنَّ إِلَـٰهَكُمْ لَوَٰحِدٌۭ
﴿٥﴾
Indeed, your God is One,
رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَشَـٰرِقِ
﴿٦﴾
Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and Lord of the east.
إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلْكَوَاكِبِ
﴿٧﴾
Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars,
وَحِفْظًۭا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَـٰنٍۢ مَّارِدٍۢ
﴿٨﴾
And as protection against every rebellious devil.
لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍۢ
﴿٩﴾
They do not listen to the Most Exalted Assembly and are struck from every side,
دُحُورًۭا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ وَاصِبٌ
﴿١٠﴾
Being driven away, and for them is a constant punishment,
إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ ٱلْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌۭ ثَاقِبٌۭ
﴿١١﴾
Except one who snatches a hearing, then pursued by a piercing flame.
فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَآ ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَـٰهُم مِّن طِينٍۢ لَّازِبٍۭ
﴿١٢﴾
So inquire of them, are they harder to create, or those We have created? Indeed, We created them from sticky clay.
بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ
﴿١٣﴾
But you wonder, while they mock,
وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ
﴿١٤﴾
And when reminded, they do not remember,
وَإِذَا رَأَوْا۟ ءَايَةًۭ يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ
﴿١٥﴾
And when they see a sign, they ridicule it.
وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌ
﴿١٦﴾
And they say, 'This is nothing but clear magic.'
أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
﴿١٧﴾
When we have died and become dust and bones, will we truly be resurrected?
أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ
﴿١٨﴾
Or our forefathers of old?
قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ
﴿١٩﴾
Say, 'Yes, and you will be resurrected.'
فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
﴿٢٠﴾
It will be but a single Blast, and behold, they will be staring.
وَقَالُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَا هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ
﴿٢١﴾
And they will say, 'Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!'
هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
﴿٢٢﴾
This is the Day of Decision which you used to deny.
ٱحْشُرُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَأَزْوَٰجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْبُدُونَ
﴿٢٣﴾
Gather those who did wrong along with their partners and what they used to worship,
مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَٱهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
﴿٢٤﴾
Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire.
وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُم مَّسْـُٔولُونَ
﴿٢٥﴾
And stop them; indeed, they will be questioned.
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ
﴿٢٦﴾
Why do you not help one another?
بَلْ هُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ
﴿٢٧﴾
Rather, they have surrendered today.
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
﴿٢٨﴾
And some of them will turn to others, questioning one another.
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ
﴿٢٩﴾
They will say, 'Indeed, you used to come to us from the right.'
قَالُوا۟ بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ
﴿٣٠﴾
They will say, 'Rather, you were not believers.'
وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَـٰنٍۭ ۖ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًۭا طَـٰغِينَ
﴿٣١﴾
We had no authority over you; rather, you were a transgressing people.
فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَآ ۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ
﴿٣٢﴾
So the word of our Lord has come true against us; indeed, we will taste (the punishment).
فَأَغْوَيْنَـٰكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَـٰوِينَ
﴿٣٣﴾
We led you astray; indeed, we were astray.
فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ
﴿٣٤﴾
Thus, they will share in the punishment that day.
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
﴿٣٥﴾
Indeed, thus We deal with the criminals.
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
﴿٣٦﴾
Indeed, when it was said to them, 'There is no deity but Allah,' they were arrogant.
وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍۢ مَّجْنُونٍۭ
﴿٣٧﴾
And they said, 'Shall we leave our gods for a mad poet?'
بَلْ جَآءَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
﴿٣٨﴾
Rather, he has come with the truth and confirmed the messengers.
إِنَّكُمْ لَذَآئِقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْأَلِيمِ
﴿٣٩﴾
Indeed, you will taste the painful punishment.
وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
﴿٤٠﴾
And you will be recompensed only for what you used to do.
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
﴿٤١﴾
Except the sincere servants of Allah.
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌۭ مَّعْلُومٌۭ
﴿٤٢﴾
For them is an assured provision.
فَوَٰكِهُ ۖ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ
﴿٤٣﴾
Fruit, and they are honored.
فِى جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
﴿٤٤﴾
In Gardens of Delight.
عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ
﴿٤٥﴾
Reclining on thrones facing each other.
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍۢ مِّن مَّعِينٍۭ
﴿٤٦﴾
Circulated among them will be a cup from a flowing spring,
بَيْضَآءَ لَذَّةٍۢ لِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ
﴿٤٧﴾
White, delicious to the drinkers.
لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌۭ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ
﴿٤٨﴾
No ill effects are in it, nor will they be intoxicated by it.
وَعِندَهُمْ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ عِينٌۭ
﴿٤٩﴾
And with them are companions with beautiful, modest eyes,
كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌۭ مَّكْنُونٌۭ
﴿٥٠﴾
As if they were hidden pearls.
فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ
﴿٥١﴾
And they will turn to one another, questioning one another.
قَالَ قَآئِلٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ إِنِّى كَانَ لِى قَرِينٌۭ
﴿٥٢﴾
One of them will say, 'Indeed, I had a companion.'
يَقُولُ أَءِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُصَدِّقِينَ
﴿٥٣﴾
He will say, 'Do you consider yourself among the believers?'
أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ
﴿٥٤﴾
When we have died and become dust and bones, will we indeed be recompensed?
قَالَ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ
﴿٥٥﴾
He will say, 'Are you aware (of the unseen)?'
فَٱطَّلَعَ فَرَءَاهُ فِى سَوَآءِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
﴿٥٦﴾
Then he will look, and see it in the midst of Hell.
قَالَ تَٱللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرْدِينِ
﴿٥٧﴾
He will say, 'By Allah, you almost caused me to perish!'
وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّى لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْضَرِينَ
﴿٥٨﴾
And if it were not for the blessing of my Lord, I would have been among those brought forth (to punishment).
أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ
﴿٥٩﴾
Are we not going to die?
إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
﴿٦٠﴾
Except our first death? And we will not be punished.
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ
﴿٦١﴾
Indeed, this is the great success.
لِمِثْلِ هَـٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ ٱلْعَـٰمِلُونَ
﴿٦٢﴾
For such a reward, let the workers strive.
أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌۭ نُّزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ ٱلزَّقُّومِ
﴿٦٣﴾
Is that better as a lodging, or the tree of Zaqqum?
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَـٰهَا فِتْنَةًۭ لِّلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
﴿٦٤﴾
Indeed, We have made it a trial for the wrongdoers.
إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌۭ تَخْرُجُ فِىٓ أَصْلِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
﴿٦٥﴾
It is a tree that emerges from the bottom of Hell.
طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُۥ رُءُوسُ ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينِ
﴿٦٦﴾
Its fruit resembles the heads of devils.
فَإِنَّهُمْ لَـَٔاكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ
﴿٦٧﴾
Indeed, they will eat from it, filling their bellies.
ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًۭا مِّنْ حَمِيمٍۢ
﴿٦٨﴾
Then, boiling water will be mixed with it for them.
ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى ٱلْجَحِيمِ
﴿٦٩﴾
Then their return is to Hell.
إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا۟ ءَابَآءَهُمْ ضَآلِّينَ
﴿٧٠﴾
Indeed, they found their forefathers astray.
فَهُمْ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَـٰرِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ
﴿٧١﴾
So they hasten in their footsteps.
وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
﴿٧٢﴾
Indeed, most of the former peoples went astray before them.
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِم مُنذِرِينَ
﴿٧٣﴾
And We had sent warners among them.
فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
﴿٧٤﴾
So observe how was the end of the warners.
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
﴿٧٥﴾
Except the sincere servants of Allah.
وَلَقَدْ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٌۭ فَلَنِعْمَ ٱلْمُجِيبُونَ
﴿٧٦﴾
And indeed, Noah called Us, and he was the best responder.
وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
﴿٧٧﴾
And We saved him and his family from the great distress.
وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ هُمُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ
﴿٧٨﴾
And We made his descendants the remaining ones.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
﴿٧٩﴾
And We left a mention of him among later generations.
سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍۢ فِى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
﴿٨٠﴾
Peace be upon Noah among the worlds.
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
﴿٨١﴾
Indeed, thus We reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
﴿٨٢﴾
Indeed, he was one of Our believing servants.
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
﴿٨٣﴾
Then We drowned the others.
وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ لَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ
﴿٨٤﴾
And indeed, among his followers was Abraham.
إِذْ جَآءَ رَبَّهُۥ بِقَلْبٍۢ سَلِيمٍ
﴿٨٥﴾
When he came to his Lord with a pure heart.
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ
﴿٨٦﴾
When he said to his father and his people, 'What do you worship?'
أَئِفْكًا ءَالِهَةًۭ دُونَ ٱللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ
﴿٨٧﴾
Do you intend false gods besides Allah?
فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
﴿٨٨﴾
Then what is your opinion about the Lord of the worlds?
فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةًۭ فِى ٱلنُّجُومِ
﴿٨٩﴾
Then he looked at the stars.
فَقَالَ إِنِّى سَقِيمٌۭ
﴿٩٠﴾
And said, 'Indeed, I am sick.'
فَتَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ
﴿٩١﴾
So they turned away from him, fleeing.
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
﴿٩٢﴾
He then turned to their idols and said, 'Do you not eat?'
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنطِقُونَ
﴿٩٣﴾
Why do you not speak?
فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًۢا بِٱلْيَمِينِ
﴿٩٤﴾
He struck them with his right hand.
فَأَقْبَلُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ
﴿٩٥﴾
So they came towards him hastening.
قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ
﴿٩٦﴾
He said, 'Do you worship that which you carve?'
وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
﴿٩٧﴾
And Allah created you and what you do.
قَالُوا۟ ابْنُوا۟ لَهُۥ بُنْيَـٰنًۭا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِى ٱلْجَحِيمِ
﴿٩٨﴾
They said, 'Build a structure for him, then throw him into the fire.'
فَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًۭا فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ
﴿٩٩﴾
So they intended a scheme against him, but We made them the lowest.
وَقَالَ إِنِّى ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ
﴿١٠٠﴾
And he said, 'Indeed, I am going to my Lord; He will guide me.'
رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
﴿١٠١﴾
My Lord, grant me from among the righteous.
فَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُ بِغُلَـٰمٍ حَلِيمٍۢ
﴿١٠٢﴾
So We gave him glad tidings of a forbearing boy.
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعْىَ قَالَ يَـٰبُنَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ فِى ٱلْمَنَامِ أَنِّىٓ أَذْبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ
﴿١٠٣﴾
Then when he reached with him the age to exert himself, he said, 'O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I am to sacrifice you. So see what you think.' He said, 'O my father, do as you are commanded; you will find me, if Allah wills, of the patient.'
فَلَمَّآ أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلْجَبِينِ
﴿١٠٤﴾
So when they both submitted and he laid him down upon his forehead.
وَنَـٰدَيْنَـٰهُ أَن يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ
﴿١٠٥﴾
And We called to him, 'O Abraham!'
قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ ٱلرُّءْيَآ ۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
﴿١٠٦﴾
You have fulfilled the vision. Indeed, thus do We reward the doers of good.
إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْبَلَـٰٓؤُ۟ ٱلْمُبِينُ
﴿١٠٧﴾
Indeed, this was the clear trial.
وَفَدَيْنَـٰهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍۢ
﴿١٠٨﴾
And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
﴿١٠٩﴾
And We left a mention of him among later generations.
سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
﴿١١٠﴾
Peace be upon Abraham.
كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
﴿١١١﴾
Thus do We reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
﴿١١٢﴾
Indeed, he was one of Our believing servants.
وَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُ بِإِسْحَـٰقَ نَبِيًّۭا مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
﴿١١٣﴾
And We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous.
وَبَـٰرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسْحَـٰقَ ۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌۭ وَظَالِمٌۭ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ مُبِينٌۭ
﴿١١٤﴾
And We blessed him and Isaac. And among their descendants is the doer of good and clearly unjust to himself.
وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ
﴿١١٥﴾
And We had bestowed favor upon Moses and Aaron.
وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
﴿١١٦﴾
And We saved them and their people from great distress.
وَنَصَرْنَـٰهُمْ فَكَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ
﴿١١٧﴾
And We supported them, so they were the victors.
وءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمَا ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ٱلْمُسْتَبِينَ
﴿١١٨﴾
And We gave them the clarified Book.
وَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ
﴿١١٩﴾
And We guided them to the straight path.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
﴿١٢٠﴾
And We left a mention of them among later generations.
سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَى مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ
﴿١٢١﴾
Peace be upon Moses and Aaron.
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
﴿١٢٢﴾
Thus do We reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
﴿١٢٣﴾
Indeed, they were among Our believing servants.
وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
﴿١٢٤﴾
And indeed, Elias was among the messengers.
إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
﴿١٢٥﴾
When he said to his people, 'Will you not fear Allah?'
أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًۭا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْخَـٰلِقِينَ
﴿١٢٦﴾
Do you call upon Baal and leave the best of creators?
ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
﴿١٢٧﴾
Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first ancestors.
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
﴿١٢٨﴾
But they denied him, so they will be brought present.
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
﴿١٢٩﴾
Except the sincere servants of Allah.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
﴿١٣٠﴾
And We left a mention of him among later generations.
سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٓ إِلْ يَاسِينَ
﴿١٣١﴾
Peace be upon Elias.
إِنَا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
﴿١٣٢﴾
Thus do We reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
﴿١٣٣﴾
Indeed, he was among Our believing servants.
وَإِنَّ لُوطًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
﴿١٣٤﴾
And indeed, Lot was among the messengers.
إِذْ نَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ
﴿١٣٥﴾
When We saved him and his family all together.
إِلَّا عَجُوزًۭا فِى ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ
﴿١٣٦﴾
Except an old woman among those who remained behind.
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ
﴿١٣٧﴾
Then We destroyed the others.
وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِم مُّصْبِحِينَ
﴿١٣٨﴾
And indeed, you pass by them in the morning.
وَبِٱلَّيْلِ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
﴿١٣٩﴾
And in the evening; will you not then use reason?
وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
﴿١٤٠﴾
And indeed, Yunus was among the messengers.
إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ
﴿١٤١﴾
When he fled to the laden ship.
فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُدْحَضِينَ
﴿١٤٢﴾
And he drew lots and was among the losers.
فَٱلْتَقَمَهُ ٱلْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌۭ
﴿١٤٣﴾
Then the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy.
فَلَوْلَآ أَنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ
﴿١٤٤﴾
Had he not been among those who glorify Allah.
لَلَبِثَ فِى بَطْنِهِۦٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
﴿١٤٥﴾
He would have remained in its belly until the Day they are resurrected.
فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌۭ
﴿١٤٦﴾
Then We cast him onto the bare shore while he was ill.
وَأَنۢبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةًۭ مِّن يَقْطِينٍۢ
﴿١٤٧﴾
And We caused a gourd plant to grow over him.
وَأَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِا۟ئَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ
﴿١٤٨﴾
And We sent him to a hundred thousand or more.
فَـَٔامَنُوا۟ فَمَتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ
﴿١٤٩﴾
So they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for a while.
فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ
﴿١٥٠﴾
Ask them, 'Is your Lord the One who has daughters while they have sons?'
أَمْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَـٰثًۭا وَهُمْ شَـٰهِدُونَ
﴿١٥١﴾
Or did We create the angels as females while they are witnesses?
أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ
﴿١٥٢﴾
Indeed, they say out of their own lies.
وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَـٰذِبُونَ
﴿١٥٣﴾
‘Allah has taken a son.’ And indeed, they are liars.
أَصْطَفَى ٱلْبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلْبَنِينَ
﴿١٥٤﴾
He prefers daughters over sons?
مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ
﴿١٥٥﴾
How do you judge?
أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
﴿١٥٦﴾
Will you not then remember?
أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَـٰنٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ
﴿١٥٧﴾
Or do you have a clear authority?
فَأْتُوا۟ بِكِتَـٰبِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ
﴿١٥٨﴾
Then bring your book if you should be truthful.
وَجَعَلُوا۟ بَيْنَهُۥ وَبَيْنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًۭا ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ ٱلْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
﴿١٥٩﴾
And they ascribed a portion of it to the jinn. But indeed the jinn knew that they would be brought present.
سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
﴿١٦٠﴾
Exalted is Allah above what they describe.
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
﴿١٦١﴾
Except the sincere servants of Allah.
فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَـٰتِنِينَ
﴿١٦٢﴾
Indeed, you and what you worship are not able to mislead.
إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
﴿١٦٣﴾
Except for those destined for Hell.
وَمَا مِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٌۭ مَّعْلُومٌۭ
﴿١٦٤﴾
And none of Us except has a known position.
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ
﴿١٦٥﴾
And indeed, We are the gatherers.
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ
﴿١٦٦﴾
And indeed, We are the ones who glorify Allah.
وَإِن كَانُوا۟ لَيَقُولُونَ
﴿١٦٧﴾
Even if they say.
لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
﴿١٦٨﴾
If only We had a mention from the former ones.
لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ
﴿١٦٩﴾
We would have been among the sincere servants of Allah.
فَكَفَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
﴿١٧٠﴾
But they disbelieved in it, and soon they will know.
وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
﴿١٧١﴾
And Our word has already gone forth for Our messengers.
إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ ٱلْمَنصُورُونَ
﴿١٧٢﴾
Indeed, they will be assisted.
وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ
﴿١٧٣﴾
And Our soldiers will be the victorious over them.
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ
﴿١٧٤﴾
So turn away from them for a while.
وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ
﴿١٧٥﴾
And observe them; they will soon observe.
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
﴿١٧٦﴾
Do they hasten Our punishment?
فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ
﴿١٧٧﴾
But when it descends upon their courtyard, how terrible will be the morning for the warned.
وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ
﴿١٧٨﴾
And turn away from them for a while.
وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ
﴿١٧٩﴾
And observe; they will soon observe.
سُبْحَـٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
﴿١٨٠﴾
Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe.
وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَى ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ
﴿١٨١﴾
And peace be upon the messengers.
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
﴿١٨٢﴾
And all praise is for Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
