Virtues, description, and recitation method of ZIYARAH ON THE HOLY PROPHET'S BIRTHDAY as recorded in Shia traditions.
Fadhila, maelezo, na njia ya usomaji wa ZIYARAH SIKU YA KUZALIWA KWA MTUKUFU MTUME kama ilivyopokelewa katika mapokezi ya Shia.
اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ
You may then offer a six-unit prayer of ziyarah; two for visiting Amir al-Mu'minin ('a), two for visiting Prophet Adam ('a), and two for visiting Prophet Noah ('a). You may also supplicate Almighty Allah as earnestly as possible, for your prayers are responded at this place, Allah willing. The author of al-Mazar al-Kabir says that this form of ziyarah is dedicated to the seventeenth day (of Rabi' al-Awwal) at sunrise. Commenting on this form of ziyarah, 'Allamah al- Majlisi says that it is one of the most favorable formulas that has been reported through authoritative chains of authority and has been written down in authentic reference books. According to some narrations that reported this form, it is not dedicated to this day; therefore, it is recommended to visit the holy tomb of lmam 'Ali ('a) with this form of ziyarah at any time. Allah is the Most Great.
Basi unaweza kuswali rakaa sita za ziyarah; mbili kwa ajili ya kumzuru Amirul-Mu'minin ('a), mbili kwa ajili ya kumzuru Mtume Adam ('a), na mbili kwa ajili ya kumzuru Nabii Nuh ('a). Unaweza pia kumwomba Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu kwa bidii iwezekanavyo, kwani maombi yako yanajibiwa mahali hapa, Mwenyezi Mungu akipenda. Mwandishi wa al-Mazar al-Kabir anasema kwamba aina hii ya ziyarah imewekwa kwa siku ya kumi na saba (ya Rabi' al-Awwal) wakati wa kuchomoza kwa jua. اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ
Peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. Peace be upon the

السَّرَاجِ المُنِيْرِ

وَ رَخمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عِمَادَ الاتْقِيَاءِ
successors. Peace be upon you, O reliance of the pious
warithi. Amani iwe juu yako ewe tegemeo la wachamungu
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ الْاَوْلِيَاءِ
ones. Peace be upon you, O best saint among all saints.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَالِصَ الْاخِلَاءِ
friends. Peace be upon you, O father of the trusted Imams.

Peace be upon you, O one who was born in the Ka'bah,
Amani iwe juu yako, ewe uliyezaliwa katika Kaaba!
وَ زُوِّجَ فِي السَّمَاءِ بِسَيِّدَةِ النِّسَاءِ،
married in the heavens to the Doyenne of Women; and the

وَ كَانَ شُهُوْدُهَا الْمَلَائِكَةَ الْاَصفِيَآءَ
witnesses were the elite angels. Peace be upon you, 0

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مِصبَاحَ الضِّيَاءِ

فَسَامَى شَمْعُوْنَ الضَّفَا
Safa (Simon the Zealot). Peace be upon you, O one in whose

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ اَنْجَى اللهُ سَفِيْنَةَ نُوْحِ بِاسْمِهِ وَ اسْمِ آَخِيْهِ
name and in the name of whose brother, Allah saved the Ark

حَيْثُ الْتَطَمَ الْمَآءُ حَوْلَهَا وَ طَمْى

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ تَابَ اللهُ بِهِ وَ بِآخِيْهِ عَلَى أَدَمَ اِذْ غَوْى
around it. Peace be upon you, O one in whose name and in the name of whose brother, Allah accepted the repentance of

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اِمَامَ ذَوِي الْأَلْبَابِ
be upon you, O chief of people of understanding. Peace be
iwe juu yako ewe mkuu wa watu wenye akili. Amani iwe
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَعْدِنَ الْحِكْمَةِ وَ فَضلَ الْخِطَابِ
upon you, O essence of.wisdom and clear Judgement. Peace
juu yako, Ewe dhati ya.hekima na Hukumu iliyo wazi. Amani
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ الْكِتَابِ
be upon you, O one having the knowledge of the Books.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مِيْزَانَ يَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ
Peace be upon you, O criterion on the Judgement Day. Peace
Amani iwe juu yako ewe kigezo cha Siku ya Kiyama. Amani
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا فَاصِلَ الْحُكْمِ النَّاطِقَ بِالصَّوَابِ
be upon you, O solver of all quarrels and spokesman of truth.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ آَيُّهَا الْمُتَصَدَّقُ بِالْخَاتَمِ فِي الْمِحْرَابِ
Peace be upon you, O he who gave his ring as alms while

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ كَفَى اللهُ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
being in the prayer niche. Peace be upon you, O he through

al-Ahzab (Washirika). Amani iwe juu yako, ewe uliyemuabudu Mwenyezi Mungu peke yake kwa ikhlasi na daima akarejea
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا قَاتِلَ خَيْبَرَ وَ قَالِعَ الْبَابِ
Him. Peace be upon you, O warrior of Khaybar and plucker of
Yeye. Amani iwe juu yako ewe shujaa wa Khaybar na mnyang'anyi
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ دَعَاهُ خَيْرُ الاَنَامِ لِلْمَبِيْتِ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ
the gate (of the fortress). Peace be upon you, O one who, When the Best of Creatures (i.e. the Prophet) ordered him to
lango (la ngome). Amani iwe juu yako, ewe ambaye, Mbora wa viumbe (yaani Mtume) alipomuamrisha
فَاسْلَمَ نَفْسَهُ لِلْمَنِيَّةِ وَ اَجَابَ،
spend that night at his place instead of him, submitted to

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ لَهُ طُوْبُى وَ حُسْنُ مَابٍ

وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ
Tuba (bliss) and goodly return are decided. Allah's mercy and
Tuba (furaha) na kurudi kwa uzuri huamuliwa. Rehema za Mwenyezi Mungu na
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ عِضْمَةِ الدِّيْنِ وَ يَا سَيِّدَ السَّادَاتِ
blessings be upon you. Peace be upon you, O director of the safety of the religion and chief of the chiefs. Peace be upon
baraka ziwe juu yako. Amani iwe juu yako ewe mkurugenzi wa usalama wa dini na mkuu wa machifu. Amani iwe juu yake
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَاحِبَ الْمُعْجِزَاتِ
you, O owner of miracles. Peace be upon you, O he about
wewe, Ewe mwenye miujiza. Amani iwe juu yako, ewe karibu
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ نَزَلَتْ فِي فَضلِهِ سُوْرَةُ الْعَادِيَاتِ
Whose merits Surah al-Adiyat was revealed. Peace be upon
Ambaye Surah al-Adiyat iliteremshwa sifa zake. Amani iwe juu yake
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ كُتِبَ اسْمُهُ فِي السَّمَاءِ عَلَى السُّرَادِقَاتِ
you, O he whose name is written in the heavens on the canopies (of the Divine Throne). Peace be upon you, 0
wewe, ewe ambaye jina lako limeandikwa mbinguni juu ya dari (ya Arshi ya Mwenyezi Mungu). Amani iwe juu yenu, 0
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُظْهِرَ الْعَجَائِبِ وَ الْأَيَاتِ
manifester of marvels and signs. Peace be upon you, O
mdhihirishaji wa maajabu na ishara. Amani iwe juu yako, O
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَمِيْرَ الْغَزَوَاتِ
commander in campaigns. Peace be upon you, O he who
kamanda katika kampeni. Amani iwe juu yako ewe uliye
ٱَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُخْبِرًا بِمَا غَبَرَ وَ بِمَا هُوَاتٍ
accounted the bygone and predicted the future. Peace be
kuhesabu yaliyopita na kutabiri yajayo. Amani iwe
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُخَاطِبَ ذِئْبِ الْفَلَوَاتِ
upon you, O speaker to a wolf in the desert. Peace be upon
juu yako, Ewe msemaji na mbwa mwitu jangwani. Amani iwe juu yake
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَاتِمَ الْحَصْى وَ مُبَيِّنَ الْمُشكِلَاتِ
you, O reckoner of pebbles and expounder of problems. Peace be upon you, O he whose attacks in battlefields
wewe, Ewe mwenye kuhesabu kokoto na mfafanuzi wa matatizo. Amani iwe juu yako, ewe ambaye mashambulizi yako katika medani za vita
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ عَجِبَثْ مِنْ حَمَلَاتِهِ فِي الْوَغَى مَلَائِكَةُ السَّمَاوَاتِ،
astonished the angels in the heavens. Peace be upon you, O
wakawashangaza malaika mbinguni. Amani iwe juu yako, O
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ نَاجَى الرَّسُوْلَ فَقَدَّمَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ نَجْوَاهُ الصَّدَقَاتِ
he who offered something in charity when he talked

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَالِدَ الْاَئِمَّةِ الْبَرَرَةِ السَّادَاتِ
confidentially with the Messenger. Peace be upon you, 0

وَ رَخمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ
father of the Imams, the virtuous masters. Allah's mercy and

blessings be upon you. Peace be upon you, O one coming

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِلَمِ خَيْرٍ مَوْرُوْثْ
immediately after the Messenger. Peace be upon you, 0 inheritor of the knowledge of the most favorable inherited

upon you, O chief of the Prophets' successors. Peace be
juu yako ewe mkuu wa warithi wa Mitume. Amani iwe
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اِمَامَ الْمُتَّقِيْنَ
upon you, O head of the pious ones. Peace be upon you, 0
juu yako ewe mkuu wa wachamungu. Amani iwe juu yenu, 0
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا غِيَاتَ الْمَكْرُوْبِيْنَ
aid of the aggrieved ones. Peace be upon you, O shelter of
msaada wa waliojeruhiwa. Amani iwe juu yako ewe kimbilio
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عِضْمَةَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
the believers. Peace be upon you, O provider of evidences.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا طهُ وَ يُس
Peace be upon you, O Ta-Ha and Ya-Sin. Peace be upon you,
Amani iwe juu yenu enyi Ta-Ha na Ya-Sin. Amani iwe juu yako,
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَبْلَ اللهِ الْمَتِيْنَ
O firm rope (taking) to Allah. Peace be upon you, O he who

وَ وَالِدِ الْاَئِمَّةِ الْاَطْهَارِ
Omnipotent Lord, the father of the immaculate Imams, the

وَ قَسِيْمِ الْجَنَّةِ وَ النَّارِ
decider of Paradise and Hellfire, the narrator of past events,

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى النَّبَا الْعَظِيهِ

الَّذِي هُمْ فِيْهِ مُخْتَلِفُوْنَ
about whom they differ, before whom they shall be stood,
ambao wanakhitalifiana juu yake, ambaye watasimama mbele yake.
وَ عَنْهُ يُسْاَلَوْنَ
and about whom they shall be asked. Peace be upon the

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى نُوْرِ اللهِ الْاَثْوَرِ
most shining light of Allah and the most luminous brightness

and choice. I bear witness that you, being Allah's friend and

وَ حَلَّلْتَ حَلَالَ اللهِ
and his Household, enjoined that which Allah has deemed

وَ حَرَّمْتَ حَرَامَ اللهِ
lawful, forbade that which Allah has deemed unlawful,

وَ أتَيْتَ الزَّكَاةَ
carried out His laws, offered the prayers, paid the zakat,

اَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ تَسْمَعُ كَلَامِيْ

وَاَشْهَدُ لَكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللهِ بِالْبَلَاغِ وَ الاَدَآءِ
And I testify to you, O Allah's friend, that you conveyed and

إِنَّ بَيْنِيْ وَ بَيْنَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ ذُنُوْبًا
and majesty belong, there are sins that have overburdened

وَ مَنَعَثْنِيْ مِنَ الرُّقَادِ
my back and deprived me of sleep; whenever I remember

you as the supervisor over the affairs of His creatures,

matched the obedience to you to the obedience to Him, and

وَلِيُّكَ وَ زَائِرُكَ

your tomb, residing in your courtyard, staying in your vicinity,

يَسْاَلَكَ آَنْ تَشفَعَ لَهُ إِلَى اللهِ فِي قَضَاءِ حَاجَتِهِ
(I) beg you to intercede for me before Allah that He may
(Nakuomba uniombee kwa Mwenyezi Mungu ili aniombee).
وَ نُجْحِ طَلِبَتِهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْأَخِرَةِ
grant my needs and may respond to my requests for this life

فَإِنَّ لَكَ عِنْدَ اللهِ الْجَاهَ الْعَظِيْمَ
as well as the life to come, because you enjoy an enormous

You may also supplicate Almighty Allah as earnestly as possible, for your prayers are responded at this place, Allah willing. The author of alMazar alkabir says that this form of ziyarah is dedicated to the seventeenth day (of Rabi' alAwwal) at sunrise. Commenting on this form of ziyarah, 'Aliamah alMajlisi says that it is one of the most favorable formulas that has been reported through authoritative chains of authority and has been written down in authentic reference books. According to some narrations that reported this form, it is not dedicated to this day; therefore, it is recommended to visit the holy tomb of Imam 'Ali ('a) with this form of ziyarah at any time.
