Virtues, description, and recitation method of ZIYARAH OF THE MARTYRS IN THE BATTLE OF UHUD as recorded in Shia traditions.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى رَسُوْلِ اللهِ
You may then repeat reciting Surah al-Qadr as many times as possible. Some scholars say that you may offer a two unit prayer at each tomb and then come back.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى نَبِيِّ اللهِ
Peace be upon Allah's Messenger. Peace be upon Allah's
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ
Prophet. Peace be upon Muhammad the son of 'Abdullah.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ
peace be upon his Immaculate Household. Peace be upon
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ آَيُّهَا الشَّهَدَاءُ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ
you, O martyrs, believing ones. Peace be upon you, 0
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَآ اَهْلَ بَيْتِ الْاِيْمَانِ وَ التَّوْجِيْدِ
household of (true) faith and monotheism. Peace be upon
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَآ أَنْصَارَ دِيْنِ اللهِ
you, O supporters of Allah's religion and supporters of His
وَ أَنْصَارَ رَسُوْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ وَ الِهِ السَّلَامُ
Messenger-peace be upon him and his Household. Peace
سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ
be upon you because you were constant! How excellent is
فِنِعَمَ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ
اَشْهَدُ اَنَّ اللهَ اخْتَارَكُمْ لِدِيْنِهِ
then the issue of the abode. I bear witness that Allah has
وَ اضطَفَاكُمْ لِرَسُوْلِهِ
chosen you for His religion and selected you for His
وَ اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكُمْ قَدْ جَاهَدْتُمْ فِي اللهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ
Messenger. And I bear witness that you did strive for the
وَ ذَبَبْتُمْ عَنْ دِيْنِ اللهِ وَ عَنْ نَبِيِّهِ
sake of Allah as exactly as required defended Allah's religion
وَ جُدْتُمْ بِاَنْفُسِكُمْ دُوْنَهُ
and Prophet, and sacrificed your souls for Him. And l bear
وَ اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكُمْ قُتِلْتُمْ عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ
witness that you were killed following the course of Allah's
فَجَزَاكُمُ اللهُ عَنْ نَبِيِّهِ
Messenger, therefore, may Allah reward you, on behalf of His
وَ عَنِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَ اَهْلِهِ اَفْضَلَ الْجَزَآءِ
Prophet and Islam and the followers of Islam, with the best
وَ عَرَّفَنَا وُجُوْهَكُمْ فِيْ مَحَلِّ رِضْوَانِهِ
reward; and may He make us recognize you by faces at the
وَ مَوْضِعِ اِكْرَامِهِ
Place of His Pleasure and the Abode of His Honoring with
مَعَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَ الصِّدِّيْقِيْنَ
the Prophets, the veracious ones, the martyrs, and the
وَ الشَّهَدَاءِ وَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ
righteous ones, and how excellent is the company of those. l
وَ حَسُنَ اُوْلِئِكَ رَفِيْقَا
اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكُمْ حِزْبُ اللهِ
bear witness that you are the party of Allah and that he who
وَ آَنَّ مَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ فَقَدْ حَارَبَ اللَهَ
fought you had in fact fought against Allah, and that you are
وَ أَنَّكُمْ لَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ الْفَائِزِيْنَ
of those who are the nearest (to Almighty Allah) and of those
الَّذِيْنَ هُمْ اَخِيَآءً عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُوْنَ
who are triumphant, who are alive and are provided
فَعَلَى مَنْ قَتَلَكُمْ لَغَنَةُ اللهِ
sustenance from their Lord. The curse of Allah be upon
وَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَ النَّاسِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ
those who killed you. So be the curse of the angels and all
أَتَيْثُكُمْ يَآ آَهْلَ التَّوْحِيْدِ زَآئِرًا
peoples. O people of Allah's Oneness, l have come to you,
وَ بِحَقَّكُمْ عَارِفًا
visiting you, acknowledging your rights, seeking nearness to
وَ بِزِيَارَتِكُمْ اِلَى اللهِ مُتَقَرِّبًا
Allah through my visit to you, and recognizing your honorable
وَ بِمَا سَبَقَ مِنْ شَرِيْفِ الْاَعْمَالِ
deeds and pleasant acts. Peace, mercy, and blessings of
وَ مَرْضِيَّ الْأَفْعَالِ عَالِمًا
فَعَلَيْكُمْ سَلَامُ اللهِ وَ رَحْمَتُهُ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ
Allah be upon you. Curse, ire, and wrath of Allah be upon
وَ عَلَى مَنْ قَتَلَكُمْ لَغَنَةُ اللهِ وَ غَضَبُهُ وَ سَخَطْهُ
those who killed you. O Allah, (please do) grant me
اَللَهُمَّ انْفَعْنِي بِزِيَارَتِهِمْ
advantages for I am visiting them, make me stand
وَ ثبِّثْنِيْ عَلَى قصْدِهِمْ
steadfastly their course, do not grasp my soul before l be
وَ تَوَفَّنِي عَلَى مَا تَوَفَّيْتَهُمْ عَلَيْهِ
carrying the same principles that they carried when You
وَ اجْمَعْ بَيْنِيْ وَ بَيْنَهُمْ
grasped their souls, and include me with their group in the
فِيْ مُسْتَقَرَّ دَارِ رَحْمَتِكَ
unchangeable abode of Your mercy. I bear witness that you preceded us and we shall certainly follow you. You may then repeat reciting Surah al-Qadr as many times as possible.
اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكُمْ لَنَا فَرَطْ
Some scholars say that you may offer a two unit prayer at
وَ نَخْنُ بِكُمْ لَا جِقُوْنَ.
each tomb and then come back.
