Virtues, description, and recitation method of ZIYARAT OF HAZRAT E NARJIS, MOTHER OF IMAM E as recorded in Shia traditions.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

Peace be upon Allah's Messenger, Allah's blessings be upon

صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ ألِهِ

him, the veracious and honest. Peace be upon our master the

الصَّادِقِ الْاَمِيْنِ

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى مَؤْلَانَا آَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

Commander of the Faithful. Peace be upon the Immaculate

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الاَئْمَةِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ

Imams and the blessed Arguments (of Allah). Peace be upon

الْحُجَجِ الْمَيَامِيْنِ

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى وَالِدَةِ الْاِمَامِ

the mother of the Imam, the lady entrusted with the secrets

وَ الْمُؤْدَعَةِ اَسْرَارَ الْمَلِكِ الْعَلَّامِ

of the All-knowing King and the bearer of the most honorable

وَ الْحَامِلَةِ لاَشْرَفِ الْاَنَامِ

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ آَيَّثُهَا الصِّدِّيْقَةُ الْمَرْضِيَّةُ

of all beings. Peace be upon you, O veracious and well-

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا شَبِيْهَةَ أُمَّ مُؤْسى

pleased lady. Peace be upon you, O equivalent of (Prophet)

وَ ابْنَةَ حَوَارِيِّ عِيْسى

Moses' mother and daughter of (Prophet) Jesus' Disciple.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ آَيَّتُهَا التَّقِيَّةُ النَّقِيَّةُ

Peace be upon you, O pious and bright. Peace be upon you, 0

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ آَيَّثُهَا الرَّضِيَّةُ الْمَرْضِيَّةُ

well-pleased and well-contented. Peace be upon you, 0

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ آَيَّتُهَا الْمَنْعُوْتَةُ فِيْ الْإِنْجِيْلِ

الْمَخْطُوْبَةُ مِنْ رُوحِ اللهِ الْأَمِيْنِ

described in the Gospel, betrothed from the Honest Spirit of

وَ مَنْ رَغِبَ فِيْ وُضْلتِهَا مُحَمَّدٌ سَيَّدُ المُرْسَلِيْنَ

Allah, desired for relationship by Muhammad the chief of the

وَ الْمُسْتَوْدَعَةُ اَسْرَارَ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

Messenger, and entrusted with the secrets of the Lord of the

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ وَ عَلَى اَبَآئِكِ الْحَوَارِيِّيْنَ

Worlds. Peace be upon you and upon your fathers the

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ وَ عَلَى بَعْلِكِ وَ وَلَدِكِ

Disciples. Peace be upon you, your husband, and your son.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ وَ عَلَى رُوْحِكِ وَ بَدَنِكِ الطَّاهِرِ

Peace be upon you and upon your pure spirit and body. l bear

اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكِ اَخسَتْتِ الْكِفَالَةَ

witness that you acted excellently in custody (of your son),

وَ اَدَّيْتِ الامَانَةَ

fulfilled the trust, worked painstakingly for gaining Allah's

وَ اجْتَهَدْتٍ فِيْ مَرْضَاةِ اللهِ

وَ صَبَرْتٍ فِي ذَاتِ اللهِ

pleasure, acted steadfastly for the sake of Allah, kept the

وَ حَفِظْتِ سِرَّ اللهِ

secret of Allah, born the representative of Allah, did

وَ حَمَلْتِ وَلِيَّ اللهِ

meticulously in the safeguarding of the Argument of Allah,

وَ بَالَغْتِ فِيْ حِفْظِ حُجَةِ اللهِ

وَ رَغِبْتِ فِيْ وُضْلَةِ اَبْنَآءِ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

and desired for maintaining the descendants of the

عَارِفَةً بِحَقَّهِمْ

Messenger of Allah as you had full recognition of their rights,

مُؤْمِنَةً بِصِدْقِهِمْ

مُعْتَرِفَةً بِمَنْزِلَتِهِمْ

believed in their honesty, professed their status,

مُسْتَبْصِرَةً بِاَمْرِهِمْ

مُشْفِقَةً عَلَيْهِمْ

acknowledged their matter, sympathized with them, and

مُؤْثِرَةً هَوَاهُمْ

preceded their inclination to yours. l also bear witness that

وَاَشْهَدُ آنَّكِ مَضَيْتِ عَلَى بَصِيْرَةِ مِنْ آَمْرِكِ

you passed away with full awareness of the truth, following

مُقْتَدِيَةً بِالصَّالِحِيْنَ

the examples of the righteous ones, well-pleased, well-

رَاضِيَةً مَرْضِيَّةً

نَقِيَّةً نَقِيَّةً زَكِيَّةً

contented, pious, bright, and pure. So, may Allah be pleased

فَرَضِيَ اللَهُ عَنْكِ وَ اَرْضَاكِ

with you and may He please you and decide Paradise to be

وَ جَعَلَ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْزِلَكِ وَ مَأوَاكِ

your abode and dwelling. He has endued you with lots of the

فَلَقَدْ اَوْلَاكِ مِنَ الْخَيْرَاتِ مَآ آَوْلَاكِ

good things with which He has bestowed upon you and He

وَ اَعْطَاكِ مِنَ الشَّرَفِ مَا بِهِ اَغْنَاكِ

فَهَنَّاكِ اللهُ بِمَا مَنَحَكِ

has given you the honorable position that made yon

مِنَ الْكَرَامَةِ وَ امْرَاَكِ.

dispense witheverything else. May Allah delight and gratify

اَللَهُمَّ اِيَّاكَ اعْتَمَدْتُ

you with the dignity that He has granted you.

وَ لِرِضَاكَ طَلَبْتُ

O Allah, to You alone have l had recourse. Your pleasure

وَ بِاَوْلِيَائِكَ اِلَيْكَ تَوَسَّلَتُ

alone have | sought. Through Your representatives have l

وَ عَلَى غُفْرَانِكَ وَ حِلْمِكَ اتَكَلْتُ

sought means to You. On Your forgiveness and forbearance

وَ بِكَ اغْتَصَمْتُ

have I relied. By You alone have I held fast. In the tomb of the

وَ بِقَبْرِ أَمَّ وَلِيِّكَ لَذْتُ

mother of Your representative have I taken refuge. So,

فَصَلّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ ألِ مُحَمَدٍ

(please) send blessings upon Muhammad and Muhammad's

وَ انْفَعْنِيْ بِزِيَارَتِهَا

Household, make me benefit by my visit to her, keep me firm

وَ تَبَثْنِيْ عَلى مَحَبَّتِهَا

وَ لَا تَخرِمْنِي شَفَاعَتَهَا

on love for her, do not deprive me of her intercession and her

وَ شَفَاعَةً وَلَدِهَا

son's intercession, provide me with being in her

وَ اززُقِنِيْ مُرَافْقَتَهَا

وَ اخشُرْنِي مَعَهَا وَ مَعَ وَلَدِهَا

companionship, and include me with the group of her and

كَمَا وَفَقْتَنِي لِزِيَارَةِ وَلَدِهَا وَ زِيَارَتِهَا

her son as You have grant me success to visit her son and

اَللّهُمَّ إِنِّي اَتَوَجَهُ اِلَيْكَ بِالاَئِمَةِ الطَاهِرِيْنَ

her. O Allah, I do turn my face towards You by means of the

وَ اَتَوَسَّلُ اِلَيْكَ بِالْحُجَجِ الْمَيَامِيْنِ

immaculate Imams and I choose as my mediation to You the

مِنْ الِ طه وَ يُس

blessed Arguments from the descendants of Tahà and Yâsin,

آَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَدٍ وَ ألِ مُحَمَّدِ الطَّيْبِيْنَ

(beseeching You) to bless Muhammad and Muhammad's

وَ آَنْ تَجْعَلَنِي مِنَ الْمُظْمَيُنَّيْنَ الْفَائِزِيْنَ

Household the pure and to make me of the tranquil,

الْفَرِحِيْنَ الْمُسْتَبْشِرِيْنَ

triumphant, blissful, and glorious ones on whom there is

الَّذِيْنَ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَ لَا هُمْ يَخْزَنُوْنَ

neither fear nor shall they be aggrieved. And (please) make

وَ اجْعَلْنِي مِمَّنْ قَبِلْتَ سَعْيَهُ

me one of those whose deeds are admitted by You, whose

وَ يَسَّرْتَ آَمْرَهُ

affairs will be made easy by You, whose distress will be

وَ كَشَفْتَ ضُرَّهُ

relieved by You, and whose fear will be secured by You. 0

وَ أَمَنْتَ خَوْفَهُ.

Allah [l beseech You] in the name of Muhammad and the

اَللَّهُمّ بِحَقَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Household of Muhammad, (please) send blessings upon

صَلَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ ٱلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, do not

وَ لَا تَجْعَلْهُ أَخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنْ زِيَارَتِيْ اِيَاهَا

decide this visit to be the last time of my visits to her, rather,

وَ ازْزُقْنِي الْعَوْدَ إِلَيْهَا آَبَدا مَا أَبْقَيْتَنِي

endue me with other chances to revisit her as long as You

وَ اِذَا تَوَفَيْتَنِيْ فَاخْشُرْنِي فِيْ زُمْرَتِهَا

keep me alive. If You decide to grasp my soul, then (please)

وَ اَذْخِلْنِي فِي شَفَاعَةٍ وَلَدِهَا وَ شَفَاعَتِهَا

include me with her group, bring me in the intercession of her

وَ اغْفِزْ لِيْ وَ لِوَالِدَيَّ

son and her, forgive me and my parents as well as the

وَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ

وَ أَتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةَ

believing men and women, give us good in this world and

وَ فِي الْأخِرَةِ حَسَنَةَ

وَقِنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ عَذَابَ النَّارِ

good in the Hereafter, and save us, out of Your mercy, from

وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا سَادَاتِيْ

the chastisement ot Fire. Peace be upon you all, O my

وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ.

masters. Allah's mercy and blessings, too, be upon you.
