زيارة الجامعة الكبيرة وقد روى الشكل الثاني الشامل للزيارة أيضاً عن الشيخ الصدوق في كتابيه من لا يحضره الفقيه وعيون أخبار الرضا كما يلي:

ZIYARAT ALJAMIAH AL KABEERAH The second comprehensive form of ziyarah has been also reported by Shaykh al-Saduq in his two books of man-la- yahzuruhul-faqih and 'Uyun Akhbar al-Rida as follows:

Instructions

وعن موسى بن عبد الله النخعي أنه سأل الإمام علي النقي الهادي (ع) فقال: يا ابن رسول الله علمني قولاً جامعاً أقوله كلما زرت أحداً منكم. ولذلك أوحى الإمام (ع) بما يلي:

Musa ibn 'Abdullah al-Nakha'i is reported to have asked Imam 'Ali al-Naqi al-Hadi ('a), saying, "O son of Allah's Messenger! Please teach me a comprehensively eloquent saying that I may say whenever I visit any of you (i.e. the Holy Imams)." The Imam ('a) therefore instructed the following:

Instructions

عندما تصل إلى البوابة (الضريح المقدس)، بعد أن تغتسل، يمكنك التوقف ونطق شهادتي الإسلام:

When you arrive at the gate (of a holy shrine), after you have bathed yourself ceremonially, you may stop and utter the two professions of Islam (shahadatayn):

اَشهَدُاَنْ لَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا اللَّه

They bear witness that there is no god but Allah

وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ،

Alone with no partner,

وَ اَشْهَدْآَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا

And they bore witness to Muhammad

صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ الِهِ

May God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family

عَبْدُهُ وَ رَسُوْلُهُ

His servant and Messenger

Instructions

عندما تدخل الضريح وتشاهد القبر، قد تتمكن من ذلك

As you enter the shrine and catch sight of the tomb, you may

توقف مرة أخرى وكرر العبارة التالية ثلاثين مرة:

stop again and repeat the following statement thirty times:

اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ

God is great

هادئ جدًا وموقر، يجب أن تمشي معه بضعة ياردات

Very serene and venerable, you should walk a few yards with

خطوات بطيئة ثم توقف من جديد وكرر نفس الشيء

slow steps and then stop anew and repeat the same

العبارة ثلاثين مرة أخرى. كما تأتي في متناول اليد

statement thirty times again. As you come within reach of

القبر، عليك أن تكرر نفس القول أربعين مرة

the tomb, you should repeat the same statement forty times

لقلتها مائة مرة. () بعد

so that you would have said it one hundred times.() After

أنه ينبغي عليك أن تقول ما يلي:

that, you should say the following:

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَآ آَهْلَ بَيْتِ النُّبُوَّةِ

Peace be upon you, O people of the House of Prophethood.

وَ مَوْضِعَ الرِّسَالَةِ

And the location of the message

وَ مُخْتَلَفَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ

And various angels

وَ مَهْبِطَ الْوَخِي

And the landing pad

وَ مَعْدِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ

And the mineral of mercy

وَ خُزَّانَ الْعِلْمِ

And the repository of knowledge

وَ مُنْتَهَى الْحِلْمِ

And the ultimate dream

وَ أَصْوْلَ الْكَرَمِ

And the origins of generosity

وَ قَادَةَ الْأمَمِ

And the leaders of nations

وَ اَوْلِيَاءَ النَّعَمِ

And the guardians of blessings

وَ عَنَاصِرَ الْاَبْرَارِ

And the elements of righteousness

وَ دَعَائِمَ الْاَخْيَارِ

And the pillars of good people

وَ سَاسَةَ العِبَادِ

And the politicians of the people

وَ اَرْكَانَ الْبِلَادِ

And the corners of the country

وَ اَبْوَابَ الْاِيْمَانِ

And the doors of faith

وَ أُمَنَآءَ الرَّحْمْنِ

And the trustees of the Most Gracious

وَ سُلَالَةَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ

And the lineage of the Prophets

وَ صَفْوَةَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

And the elite of messengers

وَ عِثْرَةَ خِيَرَةٍ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

And a stumbling block from the best of the Lord of the worlds

وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

And God's mercy and blessings

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى اَئِمَّةٍ الْهُذْى

Peace be upon the imams of guidance

وَ مَصَابِيْحِ الدَّجَى

And dark lamps

وَ اَعْلَامِ التُّقَى

And the signs of piety

وَ ذَوِيْ النُّهى

And Dhu al-Nuha

وَ أُوْلِي الْحِجَى

And perform Hajj

وَ كَهْفِ الْوَرَى

And Al-Wara Cave

وَ وَرَثَةٍ الْاَنْبِيَاءِ

And heirs of the prophets

وَ الْمَثَلِ الْاَعْلَى

And the highest example

وَ الدَّعْوَةِ الْحُسْتَى

And the beautiful invitation

وَ حُجَجِ اللهِ عَلَى اَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا

And God’s arguments against the people of the world

وَ الْأَخِرَةِ وَ الْأُوْلَى

And the Hereafter and the First

وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

And God's mercy and blessings

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى مَحَآلّ مَعْرِفَةِ اللهِ

Peace be upon the path of knowing God

وَ مَسَاكِن بَرَكَةِ اللّهِ

And the dwellings of God’s blessing

وَ مَعَادِنِ حِكْمَةِ اللهِ

And the minerals of God’s wisdom

وَ حَفَظَةٍ سِرِّ اللهِ

And the keepers of God’s secret

وَ حَمَلَةٍ كِتَابِ اللهِ

And bearers of the Book of God

وَ أَوْصِيَآَءِ نَبِيَ اللهِ

And the guardians of the Prophet of God

وَ ذُرِّيَّةٍ رَسُوْل اللّهِ

And the descendants of the Messenger of God

صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ ألِهِ

May God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family

وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

And God's mercy and blessings

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الدُّعَاةِ إِلَى اللهِ

Peace be upon the callers to God

وَ الْاَدِلَاءِ عَلَى مَرْضَاةِ اللهِ

And evidence of God’s satisfaction

وَ الْمُسْتَقِرِّيْنَ [وَ الْمُسْتَوْفِرِيْنَ] فِي آَمْرِ اللهِ

And those who are steadfast [and those who seek] in the command of God

وَ التَّآمَّيْنَ فِيْ مَحَبَّةِ اللهِ

And complete in the love of God

وَ الْمُخْلِصِيْنَ فِيْ تَوْحِيْدِ اللهِ

And those who are sincere in the monotheism of God

وَ الْمُظْهِرِيْنَ لِاَمْرِ اللهِ وَ نَهِيِهِ

And those who declare God’s command and prohibition.

وَ عِبَادِهِ الْمُكْرَمِيْنَ

And His honorable servants

الَّذِيْنَ لَا يَسْبِقُوْنَهُ بِالْقَوْلِ

Those who do not precede him in speech

وَ هُمْ بِاَمْرِهِ يَعْمَلُوْنَ

And they do His command

وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

And God's mercy and blessings

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الاَئِمَّةِ الدُّعَاةِ

Peace be upon the imams and preachers

وَ الْقَادَةِ الْهُدَاةِ

And the leaders who guide

وَ السَّادَةِ الْوُلَاةِ

And the gentlemen governors

وَ الذَّادَةِ الْحُمَاةِ

And the zada is the mother-in-law

وَ اَهْلِ الذِّكْرِ

And the people of remembrance

وَ أَوْلِي الْاَمْرِ

And those in charge

وَ بَقِيَّةِ اللهِ وَ خِيَرَتِهِ

And the rest of God and His goodness

وَ حِزْبِهِ وَ عَيْبَةٍ عِلمِهِ

And his party and the fault of his knowledge

وَ حُجَّتِهِ وَ صِرَاطِهِ

And his proof and his path

وَ نُوْرِهِ وَ بُرْهَانِهِ

And His light and His proof

وَ رَخْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

And God's mercy and blessings

اَشهَدُ اَنْ لَا اِلهَ اِلَّا اللهُ

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah

وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ

He is alone and has no partner

كَمَا شَهِدَ اللهُ لِنَفْيِيهِ

As God bore witness to his exile

وَ شَهِدَتْ لَهُ مَلَائِكَتُهُ

And his angels bore witness to him

وَ أَوْلُوْا الْعِلْمِ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ

And they have knowledge of His creation

لَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيمُ

There is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise

وَ اَشْهَدُ آَنَّ مُحَمَدًا عَبْدُهُ الْمُنْتَجَبُ

And I bear witness that Muhammad is His chosen servant

وَ رَسُوْلَهُ الْمُرْتَضى

And His Messenger, Al-Murtada

اَرْسَلَهُ بِالْهُدْى وَ دِيْنِ الْحَقُّ

Send him with guidance and the religion of truth

لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّيْنِ كُلَّهِ

To make it prevail over all religion

وَ لَوْكَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُوْنَ

And the polytheists hated it

وَ اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكُمُ الْاَئِمَّةُ الرَّاشِدُوْنَ

And I bear witness that you are the rightly guided Imams

الْمَهْدِيُّوْنَ الْمَغْصُوْمُوْنَ

The oppressed Mahdis

الْمُكَرَّمُوْنَ الْمُقَرَّبُوْنَ

The honored ones who are close

الْمُتَّقُوْنَ الصَّادِقُوْنَ

The righteous and truthful

الْمُضطَفَوْنَ الْمُطِيعُوْنَ للهِ

The chosen ones are obedient to God

الْقَوَّامُوْنَ بِآمْرِهِ

Those who are responsible for his command

الْعَامِلُوْنَ بِاِرَادَتِهِ،

Those who work according to His will,

الْفَائِزُوْنَ بِكَرَامَتِهِ

Those who win his dignity

اضطَفَاكُمْ بِعِلَمِهِ

He has favored you with his knowledge

وَ ارتَضَاكُمْ لِغَيْبِهِ

And He is satisfied with you due to His unseen

وَ اخْتَارَكُمْ لِسِرِّهِ

And He chose you for His secret

وَ اجْتَبَاكُمْ بِقُدْرَتِهِ

And He chose you with His power

وَ اَعَزَّكُمْ بِهُدَاهُ

And He strengthened you with His guidance

وَ خَصَّكُمْ بِبُرْهَانِهِ

And He singled you out with His proof

وَ انْتَجَبَكُمْ لِنُورِهِ [بِنُوْرِهِ]

And He chose you for His light [by His light]

وَ اَيَّدَكُمْ بِرُوْحِهِ

And he supported you with his Spirit

وَ رَضِيَكُمْ خُلَفَاءَ فِي أَرضِهِ

And He accepted you as caliphs in His land

وَ حُجَجًا عَلَى بَرِيَّتِهِ

And Hajj on his land

وَ اَنْصَارًا لِدِيْنِهِ

And a supporter of his religion

وَ حَفَظَةُ لِسِرِّهِ

And keepers of his secret

وَ خَزَنَةً لِعِلْمِهِ

And a treasure trove of his knowledge

وَ مُسْتَوْدَعًا لِحِكْمَتِهِ

And a repository of his wisdom

وَ تَرَاجِمَةً لِوَخِيِهِ

And a translation by his brother

وَ اَرْكَانًا لِتَوْحِيْدِهِ

And the pillars of his monotheism

وَ شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ

And witnesses to his creation

وَ أَعْلَامًا لِعِبَادِهِ

And signs for His servants

وَ مَنَارًا فِيْ بِلَادِهِ

And a beacon in his country

وَ اَدِلَاءَ عَلَى صِرَاطِهِ

And guides to his path

عَصَمَكُمُ اللهُ مِنَ الزَّلَلِ

May God protect you from sin

وَ أَمَنَكُمْ مِنَ الْفِتَنِ

And he protected you from temptations

وَ طَهَرَكُمْ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ

And purify you from filth

وَ اَذْهَبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ

And remove uncleanness from you

وَ طَهَرَكُمْ تَظهِيْرًا

And He purified you thoroughly

فَعَظَّمْتُمْ جَلَالَهُ

So you magnified his majesty

وَ اَكْبَرْتُمْ شَأْنَهُ

And you looked down upon him

وَ مَجَدْتُمْ كَرَمَهُ

And you glorified his generosity

وَ اَدَمْتُمْ [اَدْمَنْتُمْ] ذِكْرَهُ

And you became accustomed to mentioning it.

وَ وَكِّدْتُمْ [ذَكَّرْتُمْ] مِيْثَاقَهُ

And you confirmed [remembered] His covenant.

وَ اَحكَمْتُمْ عَقْدَ طَاعَتِهِ

And you made a commitment to obey him

وَ نَصَحْتُمْ لَهُ فِي السِّرِّ وَ الْعَلَانِيَةِ

And you advised him secretly and publicly.

وَ دَعَوْتُمْ إِلَى سَبِيْلِهِ

And you were called to his path

بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَ الْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ

With wisdom and good advice

وَ بَذَلْتُمْ اَنْفُسَكُمْ فِيْ مَرْضَاتِهِ

And you sacrificed yourselves for his illness.

وَ صَبَرْتُمْ عَلَى مَا آَصَابَكُمْ فِيْ جَنْبِهِ [حْبَّهِ]

And you were patient with what befell you through his [love] side.

وَ اَقَمْثُمُ الصَّلْوةَ

And perform the prayer

وَ اتَيْثُمُ الزَّكَاةَ

And pay zakat

وَ اَمَرْتُمْ بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ

And you commanded what is right

وَ نَهَيْتُمْ عَنِ المُنْكَرِ

And you forbade evil

وَ جَاهَدْتُمْ فِيْ اللهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ

And you fought for the sake of God as He deserved

حَثَّى اَغْلَتْثُمْ دَعْوَنَهُ

They called him hard

وَ بَيَّنْتُمْ فَرَائِضَهُ

And you made clear its statutes

وَ اَقَمْتُمْ حُدُوْدَهُ

And you established its borders

وَ نَشَرْتُمْ [وَ فَسَّرْتُمْ] شَرَائِعَ اَحكَامِهِ

And you published [and explained] the laws of His rulings.

وَ سَنَنْتُمْ سُنَّتَهُ

And you followed his rules

وَ صِرْتُمْ فِيْ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ إِلَى الرِّضَا

And you became satisfied with that.

وَ سَلَّمْتُمْ لَهُ الْقَضَاءَ

And you handed over judgment to him

وَ صَدَّقْتُمْ مِنْ رُسُلِهِ مَنْ مَضى

And you have confirmed the truth of his messengers in the past

فَالرَّاغِبُ عَنْكُمْ مَارِقٌ

The one who turns away from you is a deviant

وَ اللَازِمُ لَكُمْ لَا حِقٌ

What is necessary for you is that you have no right

وَ الْمُقَصِّرُ فِيْ حَقَّكُمْ زَاهِقٌ

And the one who is negligent in your rights is lost

وَ الْحَقُّ مَعَكُمْ وَ فِيْكُمْ

And the truth is with you and in you

وَ مِنْكُمْ وَ اِلَيْكُمْ

And from you and to you

وَ اَنْتُمْ اَهْلَهُ وَ مَعْدِنُهُ

And you are its family and its source

وَ مِيْرَاتُ النُّبُوَّةِ عِنْدَكُمْ

And the miracles of prophecy are with you

وَ اِيَابُ الْخَلْقِ اِلَيْكُمْ

And the return of creation is to you

وَ حِسَابُهُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ

And their reckoning is upon you

وَ فَضْلُ الْخِطَابِ عِنْدَكُمْ

And the virtue of speech is with you

وَ أَيَاتُ اللهِ لَدَيْكُمْ

And the signs of God are with you

وَ عَزَائِمُهُ فِيْكُمْ

And His resolve is among you

وَ نُوْرُهُ وَ بُرْهَانُهُ عِنْدَكُمْ

And His light and proof are with you

وَ اَمْرُهُ اِلَيْكُمْ

And his command is to you

مَنْ وَالَاكُمْ فَقَدْ وَالَى اللَهَ

Whoever is loyal to you has loyal to God

وَ مَنْ عَادَاكُمْ فَقَدْ عَادَى اللَّهَ

And whoever is hostile to you has been hostile to God

وَ مَنْ اَحَبَكُمْ فَقَدْ اَحَبَّ اللّهَ

And whoever loves you has loved God

وَ مَنْ اَبْغَضَكُمْ فَقَدْ أَبْغَضَ اللَهَ

And whoever hates you hates God

وَ مَنِ اعْتَصَمَ بِكُمْ فَقَدِ اعْتَصَمَ بِاللهِ

And whoever holds fast to you has held fast to God

اَنْتُمُ الصَّرَاطُ الْاَقْوَمُ

You are the straightest path

وَ شُهَدَآءُ دَارِ الْفَنَاءِ

And the martyrs of Dar al-Fana

وَ شُفَعَاءُ دَارِ الْبَقَاءِ

And the intercessors of Dar al-Baqa

وَ الرَّحْمَةُ الْمَؤْصُوْلَةُ

And inherent mercy

وَ الْأيَةُ الْمَخْزُوْنَةُ

And the stored verse

وَ الْامَانَةُ الْمَخْفُوْظَةُ

And the trust that is kept

وَ الْبَابُ الْمُبْتَلْى بِهِ النَّاس

And the chapter that afflicts people

مَنْ اَتَاكُمْ نَجَا

Whoever comes to you will be saved

وَ مَنْ لَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ هَلَكَ

And whoever does not come to you will perish

إِلَى اللهِ تَدْعُوْنَ

To God you pray

وَ عَلَيْهِ تَدُلَوْنَ

And you point to it

وَ بِهِ تُوْمِنُونَ

And in Him you believe

وَ لَهُ تُسَلَّمُوْنَ

And to Him you submit

وَ بِامْرِهِ تَعْمَلُوْنَ

And by His command you do

وَ اِلَى سَبِيْلِهِ تُرْشِدُوْنَ

And to His path you will be guided

وَ بِقَوْلِهِ تَحكُمُوْنَ

And by His words you judge

سَعَدَ مَنْ وَالاكُمْ

Happy is he who follows you

وَ هَلَكَ مَنْ عَادَاكُمْ

And those who were hostile to you perished

وَخَابَ مَنْ جَحَدَكُمْ

And those who deny you are disappointed

وَ ضَلَّ مَنْ فَارَقَكُمْ

And those who separate from you have gone astray

وَ فَازَ مَنْ تَمَسَّكَ بِكُمْ

And whoever clings to you will win

وَ اَمِنَ مَنْ لَجَاَ اِلَيْكُمْ

And grant security to those who seek refuge with you

وَ سَلِمَ مَنْ صَدَّقَكُمْ

And those who believe you are safe

وَ هُدِيَ مَن اعْتَصَمَ بِكُمْ

And those who cling to you will be guided

مَنِ اتَّبَعَكُمْ فَالْجَنَّةُ مَأْوَاهُ

Whoever follows you, Paradise is his abode.

وَ مَنْ خَالَفَكُمْ فَالنَّارُ مَثْوَاهُ

And whoever opposes you, Hell is his abode.

وَ مَنْ جَحَدَكُمْ كَافِرٌ

And whoever denies you is an unbeliever

وَ مَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ مُشْرِكٌ

And whoever fights you is a polytheist

وَ مَنْ رَدَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي اَسْفَلِ دَرْكِ مِنَ الْجَحِيْمِ

And whoever responds to you will be in the lowest level of Hell.

اَشْهَدُ أَنَّ هَذَا سَابِقُ لَكُمْ فِيْمَا مَضى

I bear witness that this preceded you in the past.

وَ جَارٍ لكُمْ فِيْمَا بَقِيَ

And it will be yours for what remains

وَ اَنَّ اَرْوَاحَكُمْ وَ نُوْرَكُمْ

And your souls and your light

وَ طِيْنَتَكُمْ وَاجِدَةٌ

And your clay is present

طَابَتْ وَ طَهُرَتْ

She was good and pure

بَعْضُهَا مِنْ بَعْضٍ

One of the other

خَلَقَكُمُ اللهُ اَنْوَارًا

God created you as lights

فَجَعَلَكُمْ بِعَرْشِهِ مُخْدِقِيْنَ

So He made you believers of His Throne

حَتّى مَنَّ عَلَيْنَا بِكُمْ

Even those of us who have mercy on you

فَجَعَلَكُمْ فِيْ بُيُوْتٍ

So He placed you in houses

اَذِنَ اللهُ اَنْ تُرْفَعَ

God allowed it to be raised

وَ يُذْكَرَ فِيْهَا اسْمُهُ

And his name is mentioned therein

وَ جَعَلَ صَلَاتَنَا [صَلَوَاتِنَا] عَلَيْكُمْ

And He placed our blessings [salat] upon you

وَ مَا خَصَّنَا بِهِ مِنْ وِلَا يَتِكُمْ

And We have not singled out for it anyone who does not disobey you.

طِيْبًا لِخَلْقِنَا [لِخُلُقِنَا]

good for our creation [for our creation]

وَ طَهَارَةً لاَنْفُسِنَا

And purity for ourselves

وَ تَرْكِيَةً [بَرَكَةً ] لَنَا

And it is a blessing for us

وَ كَفَّارَةً لِذُنُوْبِنَا

And atonement for our sins

فَكُنَّا عِنْدَهُ مُسَلَّمِيْنَ بِفَضْلِكُمْ

We were at peace with him thanks to you.

وَ مَعْرُوْفِيْنَ بِتَصدِيْقِنَا اِيَّاكُمْ

And we are known for our trustworthiness with you.

فَبَلَغَ اللهُ بِكُمْ آشْرَفَ مَحَلَّ الْمُكَرَّمِيْنَ

So God has brought you to the most honorable place of the honored.

وَ اَعْلَى مَنَازِلِ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ

And the highest of the stations of the close ones

وَ اَرْفَعَ دَرَجَاتِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

And raise the ranks of the messengers

حَيْثُ لَا يَلْحَقُهُ لَا حِقٌ

Where there is no right to it, there is no right

وَ لَا يَفُوْقُهُ فَائِقٌ

And no one surpasses him

وَ لَا يَسْبِقُهُ سَابِقٌ

No one can precede it

وَ لَا يَظْمَعُ فِي اِدْرَاكِهِ طَامِعْ

And let no greedy person ever grasp it.

حَثّى لَا يَبْقِى مَلَكْ مُقَرَّبٌ

Until there remains no close king

وَ لَا نَبِيُّ مُرْسَلْ

And there is no prophet sent

وَ لَا صِدِّيْقٌ وَ لَا شَهِيْدٌ

There is no truthful person and no martyr

وَ لَا عَالِمٌ وَ لَا جَاهِلَ

Neither a scholar nor an ignorant person

وَ لَا دَنِيٌّ وَ لَا فَاصِلٌ

There is no world and no separation

وَ لَا مُؤْمِنٌ صَالِحٌ

There is no good believer

وَ لَا فَاجِرْ طَالِحُ

Nor a virtuous immoral person

وَ لَا جَبَّارٌ عَنِيْدٌ

Nor is there a tyrant who is stubborn

وَ لَا شَيْطَانٌ مَرِيْدٌ

And there is no devil

وَ لَا خَلْقٌ فِيْمَا بَيْنَ ذلِكَ شَهِيْدٌ

And there is no creation that is a witness between that.

اِلَّا عَرَّفَهُمْ جَلَالَةَ آَمْرِكُمُ

Unless He makes known to them the majesty of your command

وَ عِظَمَ خَطَرِكُمْ

And your danger is great

وَ كِبَرَ شَأْنِكُمْ

And your status became great

وَ تَمَامَ نُوْرِكُمْ

And your light is complete

وَ صِدْقَ مَقَاعِدِكُمْ

And the truth of your seats

وَ ثَبَاتَ مَقَامِكُمْ

And your position is steadfast

وَ شَرَفَ مَحَلَّكُمْ وَ مَنْزِلَتِكُمْ عِنْدَهُ

And the honor of your place and your position with Him.

وَ كَرَامَتَكُمْ عَلَيْهِ

And your honor is upon him

وَ خَاصَّتَكُمْ لَدَيْهِ

And yours are with Him

وَ قَرْبَ مَنْزِلَتِكُمْ مِنْهُ

And your position is close to it

بِآَبِي اَنْتُمْ وَ أُمِّيْ

May my father and mother be sacrificed for you

وَاَهْلِيْ وَ مَالِيْ وَ اَسْرَتِيّ

And my family, my money, and my family

أشهدُ اللهَ وَ أَشْهِدُكُمْ

I bear witness in God and I bear witness in you

أَنَّي مُؤْمِنٌ بِكُمْ وَ بِمَا أمَتْتُمْ بِهِ

I believe in you and in what you have done.

كَافِرٌ بِعَدُوِّكُمْ وَ بِمَا كَفَرْثُمْ بِهِ

A disbeliever in your enemy and in what he disbelieves in him.

مُسْتَبْصِرٌ بِشَأْنِكُمْ

Insightful about you

وَ بِضَلالَةٍ مَنْ خَالِفَكُمْ

And with the misguidance of those who oppose you

مُوَال لَكُمْ وَ لِاَوْلِيَائِكُمْ

Loyal to you and your loyalists

مُبْغِضٌ لِاَعْدَآَئِكُمْ وَ مُعَادٍ لَهُمْ

He hates your enemies and is hostile to them.

سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمَكُمْ

Peace be upon those who are at peace with you

وَ حَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ

And war against those who wage war against you

مُحَقَّقٌ لِمَا حَقَّقْتُمْ

What you have achieved is true

مُبْطِلٌ لِمَا اَبْطَلْتُمْ

He nullifies what you have nullified

مُطِيْعُ لكُمْ

Obedient to you

عَارِفٌ بِحَقَّكُمْ

I know your truth

مُقِرٌّ بِفَضْلِكُمْ

Thank you very much

مُخْتَمِلْ لِعِلْمِكُمْ

Concluded, for your information

مُخْتَجِبْ بِذِمَتِكُمْ

I am hidden in your honor

مُعْتَرِفٌ بِكُمْ

I acknowledge you

مُؤْمِنْ بِايَابِكُمْ

I believe in your return

مُصَدَّقٌ بِرَجْعَتِكُمْ

Confirming your return

مُنْتَظِرٌ لِآمْرِكُمْ

Waiting for your command

مُرْتَقِبٌ لِدَوْلَتِكُمْ

Expected for your country

أخِذٌ بِقَوْلِكُمْ

I take your word for it

عَامِلٌ بِآمْرِكُمْ

He acts according to your command

مُسْتَجِيْرٌ بِكُمْ

I seek refuge in you

زَآئِرٌ لَكُمْ

A visitor to you

لَائِذْ عَائِذٌ بِقُبُوْرِكُمْ

I seek refuge in your graves

مُسْتَشَفِعُ إِلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ بِكُمْ

I ask God Almighty to intercede for you

وَ مُتَقَرِّبٌ بِكُمْ اِلَيْهِ

And He draws you close to Him

وَ مُقَدَّمُكُمْ اَمَامَ طَلِبَتِيْ

I present you at my request

وَ حَوَائِجِيْ وَ اِرَادَتِيْ

And my needs and my will

فِي كُلّ اَحوَالِي وَ اُمُوْرِيْ

In all my circumstances and affairs

مُؤْمِنٌ بِسِرَّكُمْ وَ عَلَانِيَتِكُمْ

He believes in your secrets and your publicity

وَ شَاهِدِكُمْ وَ غَائِبِكُمْ

And your witness and those who are absent

وَ اَوَّلِكُمْ وَ أَخِرِكُمْ

And the first of you and the last of you

وَ مُفَوَّضٌ فِيْ ذَلِكَ كُلَّهِ اِلَيْكُمْ

And all of that is delegated to you.

وَ مُسَلِّمٌ فِيْهِ مَعَكُمْ

And he is at peace with you in it

وَ قَلْبِيْ لَكُمْ مُسَلَّمٌ

And my heart is submitted to you

وَ رَأْبِيْ لَكُمْ تَبَعُ

And my opinion is for you

وَ نُصْرَتِيْ لَكُمْ مُعَدَّةْ

And my support is prepared for you

حَتّى يُخيِيَ اللهُ تَعَالَى دِيْنَهُ بِكُمْ

Until God Almighty betrays His religion to you

وَ يَرُدَّكُمْ فِي آَيَامِهِ

And He will restore you in His days

وَ يُظْهِرَكُمْ لِعَدْلِهِ

And He will show you His justice

وَ يُمَكِّنَكُمْ فِي اَرْضِهِ

And He will establish you in His land

فَمَعَكُمْ مَعَكُمْ

So with you, with you

لا مَعَ غَيْرِكُمْ [عَدُوّكُمْ]

Not with anyone else [your enemy]

أمَنْتُ بِكُمْ

I believed in you

وَ تَوَلَّيْتُ أَخِرَكُمْ بِمَا تَوَلَّيْتُ بِهِ اَوَّلَكُمْ

And I took care of the last of you as I took care of the first of you.

وَ بَرِئْتُ إِلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَ

And I was acquitted before God Almighty

مِنْ اَعْدَائِكُمْ

From your enemies

وَ مِنَ الْحِبْتِ وَ الطَّاغُوْتِ

And from love and tyrant

وَ الشَّيَاطِيْنِ وَ حِزْبِهِمُ الظَّالِمِيْنَ لَكُمُ

And the devils and their party are wrongdoers against you.

الْجَاحِدِيْنَ لِحَقَّكُمْ

Those who deny your rights

وَ الْمَارِقِيْنَ مِنْ وَلَايَتِكُمْ

And the renegades from your authority

وَ الْغَاصِبِيْنَ لاِرْثِكُمُ

And those who usurp your inheritance

الشَّآكِّيْنَ فِيكُمُ

Those who doubt you

[وَ] الْمُنْحَرِفِيْنَ عَنْكُمْ

[And] those who deviate from you

وَ مِنْ كُلِّ وَلِيْجَةٍ دُوْنَكُمْ

And from every country besides you

وَ كُلِّ مُطَاعٍ سِوَاكُمْ

And every obedient person except you

وَ مِنَ الْاَئِمَةِ الَّذِيْنَ يَدْعُوْنَ إِلَى النَّارِ

And among the Imams who call to Hell

فَثَبَّتَنِيَ اللهُ آَبَدًا مَا حَيِيْتُ

So God made me firm forever as long as I live

عَلَى مُوَالَاتِكُمْ

For your loyalty

وَ مَحَبَّتِكُمْ وَ دِيْنِكُمْ

And your love and your religion

وَ وَفْقَنِيْ لِطَاعَتِكُمْ

And enable me to obey you

وَ رَزَقْنِيْ شَفَا عَتَكُمْ

And grant me the healing of your hardship

وَ جَعَلَنِي مِنْ خِيَارٍ مَوَالِيْكُمُ

And He made me among your chosen companions

التَّابِعِيْنَ لِمَا دَعَوْثَمْ اِليْهِ

Those who follow what they are called to do

وَ جَعَلَنِي مِمَّنْ يَقْتَصُ اثَارَكُمْ

And He made me one of those who investigate your tracks

وَ يَسْلُكُ سَبِيْلَكُمْ

And he follows your path

وَ يَهْتَدِيْ بِهَدَاكُمْ

And he will be guided by your guidance

وَ يُخشَرُ فِي زُمْرَتِكُمْ

And he will be feared in your group

وَ وَيَكِرُّ فِيْ رَجْعَتِكُمْ

And He will delay your return

وَ يُمَلَّكُ فِي دَوْلَتِكُمْ

And he reigns in your state

وَ يُشَرَّفُ فِي عَافِيَتِكُمْ

I am honored by your health

وَ يُمَكِّنُ فِي آَيَّامِكُمْ

And it will be established in your days

وَ تَقِرُّ عَيْنُهُ غَدًا بِرُوْيَتِكُمْ

And tomorrow his eyes will be pleased with your vision.

بِآَبِي أَنْتُمْ وَ أُمَّيْ

May my father and mother be sacrificed for you

وَ نَفْسِيْ وَ اَهْلِيْ وَ مَالِيْ

And myself, my family, and my money

مَنْ اَرَادَ اللهَ بَدَاَ بِكُمْ

Whoever God wants, He starts with you

وَ مَنْ وَحَّدَهُ قَبِلَ عَنْكُمْ

And whoever alone accepts from you

وَ مَنْ قَصَدَهُ تَوَجَّهَ بِكُمْ

And whoever seeks it, seeks you

مَوَالِيَّ لَا أُخْصِيْ ثَنَاءَكُمْ

My lord, I do not deprive you of your praise

وَ لَا آَبْلُغُ مِنَ الْمَدْحِ كُنْهَكُمْ

And I cannot reach the level of praise that you have.

وَ مِنَ الْوَضْفِ قَدْرَكُمْ

And from your humbleness

وَأَنْتُمْ نُوْرُ الْاَخْيَارِ

And you are the light of good people

وَ هُدَاةُ الْابْرَارِ

And the guidance of the righteous

وَ حُجَجُ الْجَبَّارِ

And the arguments of the mighty

بِكُمْ فَتَحَ اللهُ

Through you, God has granted victory

وَ بِكُمْ يَخْتِمُ [اللَهُ]

And with you [God] seals

وَ بِكُمْ يُنَزِّلَ الْغَيْثَ

And upon you the rain is sent down

وَ بِكُمْ يُمْسِكُ السَّمَآءَ آَنْ تَقَعَ عَلَى الْاَرْضِ اِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ

And by you He keeps the sky from falling on the earth except by His permission.

وَ بِكُمْ يُنَفَّسُ الْهَمَّ

And through you, anxiety is relieved

وَ يَكْشِفُ الضُّرَّ

And it reveals the damage

وَ عِنْدَكُمْ مَا نَزَلَتْ بِهِ رُسُلُهُ

And with you is what was sent down by his messengers.

وَ هَبَطَتْ بِهِ مَلَائِكَتُهُ

And his angels descended upon him

وَ إِلَى جَدَّكُمْ

And to your grandfather

Instructions

إذا زرت قبر الإمام علي بن أبي طالب (ع) فأنت

If the tomb of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) is visited, you

ينبغي أن يقول بدلا من ذلك،

should say instead,

وَ اِلَى اَخِيْكَ

And to your brother

بُعِثَ الرُّوْحُ الْاَمِيْنُ

The faithful spirit has been sent

أتَاكُمُ اللهُ مَا لَمْ يُؤْتِ آَحَدًا مِنَ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

God has given you what He has not given to any other of the worlds.

طَأطَاَ كُلَّ شَرِيْفِ لِشَرَفِكُمْ

Every honorable person bowed down to your honor

وَ بَخَعَ كُلُّ مُتَكَبَّرٍ لِطَاعَتِكُمْ

And every arrogant person humbles himself to obey you.

وَ خَضَعَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ لِفَضْلِكُمْ

And every mighty man submitted to your grace

وَ ذَلَّ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لَكُمْ

And everything is done to you

وَ اَشْرَقَتِ الْاَرْضُ بِنُوْرِكُمْ

And the earth shone with your light

وَ فَازَ الْفَائِزُوْنَ بِوِلَايَتِكُمْ

And the winners won your mandate.

بِكُمْ يُسْلَكُ إِلَى الرِّضْوَانِ

Through you he will be guided to satisfaction

وَ عَلَى مَنْ جَحَدَ وِلَا يَتَكُمْ غَضَبُ الرَّحْمْنِ

And upon him who denies and does not conceal the wrath of the Most Gracious

بِآَبِي أَنْتُمْ وَ أُمَّيْ

May my father and mother be sacrificed for you

وَ نَفْسِيْ وَ اَهْلِيْ وَ مَالِيْ

And myself, my family, and my money

ذِكْرُكُمْ فِيْ الذَّاكِرِيْنَ

Your mention among those who remember

وَ اَسْمَاؤُكُمْ فِي الْاَسْمَاءِ

And your names are among the names

وَ اَجْسَادُكُمْ فِي الْاَجْسَادِ

And your bodies are in bodies

وَ اَرْوَاحُكُمْ فِي الْاَرْوَاحِ

And your souls are among the souls

وَ اَنْفُسُكُمْ فِي النُّفُوْسِ

And your souls are in the souls

وَ اثَارُكُمْ فِي الْأَثَارِ

And your traces are in the traces

وَ قَبُوْرُكُمْ فِي الْقُبُوْرِ

And your graves are in the graves

فَمَآ اَحْلِى اَسْمَآءَكُمْ

How beautiful are your names

وَ آَكْرَمَ اَنْفُسَكُمْ

And honor yourselves

وَ أَعْظَمَ شَأَنَكُمْ

And I magnify your status

وَ اَجَلّ خَطَرَكُمْ

Your danger is terrible

وَ اَوْفِى عَهْدَكُمْ

And fulfill your covenant

وَاَضدَقَ وَعْدَكُمْ

And he kept your promise

كَلَامُكُمْ نُوْرٌ

Your words are light

وَ آَمْرُكُمْ رُشْدٌ

And I command you to follow the right path

وَ وَصِيَّتُكُمُ التَّقْوْى

And your commandment is piety

وَ فِعْلُكُمُ الْخَيْرُ

And you do good

وَ عَادَتُكُمُ الْإِحسَانُ

And you are accustomed to benevolence

وَ سَجِيَّثُكُمُ الْكَرَمُ

And I will reward you with generosity

وَ شَأَنُكُمُ الْحَقُّ

Your business is correct

وَ الصِّدْقُ وَ الرِّفْقُ

And honesty and kindness

وَ قَوْلَكُمْ حُكْمٌ وَ حَثْمٌ

And your words are judgment and condemnation

وَ رَأْيُكُمْ عِلْمٌ وَ حِلْمٌ وَ حَزْمٌ

And your opinion is knowledge, forbearance, and determination.

اِنْ ذُكِرَ الْخَيْرُ كُثْتُمْ اَوَلَهُ

If goodness is mentioned, you will refrain from it

وَ اَضلَهُ وَ فَرْعَهُ

And he led him astray and his branch

وَ مَعْدِنَهُ وَ مَأْوَاهُ وَ مُثْتَهَاهُ

And its source, and its abode, and its resting place.

بِآَبِي آَنْثُمْ وَ أُمِّي وَ نَفْسِيْ

May my father, my mother, and myself be sacrificed for you

كَيْفَ اَصِفُ حُسْنَ ثَنَآئِكُمْ

How do I describe the beauty of your duo?

وَ أُخصِيْ جَمِيْلَ بَلَائِكُمْ

And I will castrate the beauty of your affliction

وَ بِكُمْ اَخْرَجَنَا اللهُ مِنَ الذَّلَّ

And through you, God brought us out of humiliation

وَ فَرَّجَ عَنَّا غَمَرَاتِ الْكُرُوْبِ

And He relieved us of the depths of anguish

وَ اَنْقَذَنَا مِنْ شَفَا جُرُفِ الْهَلَكَاتِ

And He saved us from the brink of destruction.

وَ مِنَ النَّارِ

And from fire

بِاَبِي اَنْتُمْ وَ أُمَّنٍ وَ نَفْسِيْ

My door is to you, security, and myself.

بِمُوَالَاتِكُمْ عَلَمَنَا اللهُ مَعَالِمَ دِيْنِنَا

Through your loyalty, God has taught us the principles of our religion

وَ اَضلَحَ مَا كَانَ فَسَدَ مِنْ دُنْيَانَا

And He purified what was corrupt in our world.

وَ بِمُوَالاتِكُمْ تَمَتِ الْكَلِمَةُ

And through your loyalty, the word was fulfilled

وَ عَظُمَتِ النَّعْمَةُ

And the greatness of the blessing

وَاتْتَلَفَتِ الْفُرْقَةُ

The band was destroyed

وَ بِمُوَالَاتِكُمْ تُقْبَلَ الطَّاعَةُ الْمُفْتَرَضَةُ

And with your loyalty, the expected obedience will be accepted.

وَ لَكُمُ الْمَوَدَّةُ الْوَاجِبَةُ

And you have the affection that is due

وَ الدَّرَجَاتُ الرَّفِيْعَةُ

And high grades

وَ الْمَقَامُ الْمَحْمُوْدُ

And the praised place

وَ الْمَكَانُ [وَ الْمَقَامُ] الْمَعْلُوْمُ عِنْدَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ

And the place [and station] is known to God Almighty.

وَ الْجَاهُ الْعَظِيمُ

And great prestige

وَ الشَّأْنُ الْكَبِيْرُ

And the big matter

وَ الشَّفَاعَةُ الْمَقْبُوْلَةُ

And accepted intercession

رَبَّنَآَ أمَنَّا بِمَآ اَنْزَلْتَ

Our Lord, we believe in what You revealed

وَ اتَّبَعْنَا الرَّسُوْلَ

And we followed the Messenger

فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ التَّاهِدِيْنَ

So write with those who are at peace

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلَوْبَنَا بَعْدَ اِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا

Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us

وَ هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً

And grant us mercy from You

إِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ

You are the Giver

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّنَا

Glory be to our Lord

اِنْ كَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّنَا لَمَفْعُوْلًا

If the promise of our Lord is to be fulfilled

يَا وَلِيَّ اللهِ

O Guardian of God

إِنَّ بَيْنِي وَ بَيْنَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلّ ذُنُوْبًا

There are sins between me and God Almighty.

لَا يَأْتِيْ عَلَيْهَا اِلَّا رِضَاكُمْ

Only your satisfaction will come to her

فَبِحَقَ مَنِاتُتَمَنَكُمْ عَلَى سِرِّهِ

It is true that he entrusted you with his secret

وَ اسْتَرْعَاكُمْ آَمْرَ خَلْقِهِ

And He took care of you as the leader of His creation

وَ قَرَنَ طَاعَتَكُمْ بِطَاعَتِهِ

And He linked your obedience to His obedience

لَمَّا اسْتَوْهَبْثُمْ ذُنُوْبِيْ

When my sins took hold of them

وَ كُنْتُمْ شُفَعَائِيْ

And you were my intercessors

فَاِنَّيْ لَكُمْ مُطِيْعْ

For I am obedient to you

مَنْ اَطَاعَكُمْ فَقَدْ اَطَاعَ اللَّهَ

Whoever obeys you has obeyed God

وَ مَنْ عَصَاكُمْ فَقَدْ عَصَى اللهَ

And whoever disobeys you has disobeyed God

وَ مَنْ اَحَبَكُمْ فَقَدْ اَحَبَّ اللَّهَ

And whoever loves you has loved God

وَ مَنْ أَبْغَضَكُمْ فَقَدْ أَبْغَضَ اللَهَ

And whoever hates you hates God

اَللَهُمَّ إِنَّيْ لَوْ وَجَدْتُ شُفَعَاءَ

Oh God, if only I found intercessors

اَقْرَبَ اِلَيْكَ مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ

Closer to you than Muhammad and his family.

الاَخْيَارِ الْاَئِمَّةِ الْاَبْرَارِ

The good and righteous Imams

لَجَعَلْتُهُمْ شُفَعَآئِنْ

I have made them intercessors

فَبِحَقَهُمُ الَّذِيَّ اَوْجَبْتَ لَهُمْ عَلَيْكَ

It is due to their right which you have imposed upon you.

أَسْأَلُكَ آَنْ تُدْخِلَنِي فِيْ جُمْلَةِ الْعَارِفِيْنَ بِهِمْ وَ بِحَقِّهِمْ

I ask you to include me in the group of those who know them and their rights.

وَ فِيْ زُمْرَةِ الْمَرْحُوْمِيْنَ بِشَفَاعَتِهِمْ

And in the group of the deceased, through their intercession

اِنَّكَ اَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

Indeed, You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy

وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ ألِهِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ

And may God’s blessings be upon Muhammad and his pure family

وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيْمًا كَثِيْرًا

He greeted you very much

وَ حَسْبُنَا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ.

And God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.

الكرم يا قادة كل الأمم، يا حاملي الخيرات،

generosity, leaders of all nations, sustainers of bounties,

أسس المتقين، أركان المتقين، حافظين

foundations of the dutiful, pillars of the upright, maintainers

Instructions

من العباد، دعائم البلاد، أبواب الحق

of the servants (of Allah), props of the lands, doors to true

Instructions

الإيمان، أمناء الرحمن، ذرية

faith, trustees of the All-beneficent (Allah), descendants of

Instructions

الأنبياء، وخيار الرسل، وذرية الرسل

the Prophets, choice of the Messengers, and offspring of the

Instructions

المختار من رب العالمين. ورحمة الله وبركاته،

select of the Lord of the worlds. Allah's mercy and blessings,

Instructions

وعليكم (جميعاً). السلام على القائمين على الحق

too, be upon you (all). Peace be upon the directors of right

Instructions

الهدى، ومصابيح في الظلمات، ونماذج التقوى، و

guidance, the lanterns in darkness, the patterns of piety, the

أصحاب الفهم، ذوي الفكر،

owners of understanding, the endued with thought, the

ملاذات الشعوب ورثة الأنبياء

havens for the peoples, the inheritors of the Prophets, the

أتم العينة، وأفضل الدعوة، والحجج

perfect specimen, the most excellent call, and the arguments

Instructions

من الله على أهل الدنيا والآخرة،

of Allah against the inhabitants of the world, the Hereafter,

Instructions

والعالم السابق. ورحمة الله وبركاته تكون كذلك

and the former world. Allah's mercy and blessings, too, be

Instructions

عليكم (الجميع). السلام على دعاة

upon you (all). Peace be upon the exponents of the

الاعتراف بالله مراكز نعمة الله

recognition of Allah, the centers of Allah's blessing, the

Instructions

جوهر حكمة الله، حفظة أسرار الله،

essence of Allah's wisdom, the keepers of Allah's secrets, the

Instructions

حملة كتاب الله، خلفاء رسول الله،

bearers of Allah's Book, the successors of Allah's Prophet,

Instructions

وذرية رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم

and the progeny of Allah's Messenger, may Allah send

Instructions

عليه وعلى آل بيته . رحمة الله و

blessings upon him and his Household. Allah's mercy and

Instructions

عليهم الصلاة والسلام أيضاً. السلام على الدعاة إلى

blessings, too, be upon them. Peace be upon the callers to

Instructions

الله، القادة في رضوان الله، العابدون في الله

Allah, the leaders to Allah's pleasure, the abiders by Allah's

Instructions

القضاء، الكامل في محبة الله، الصادق في القول

decree, the perfect in love for Allah, the sincere in professing

Instructions

توحيد الله ومظاهر أوامر الله و

Allah's Oneness, the manifesters of Allah's orders and

Instructions

المحرمات وعباد الله المكرمون الذين لا ينطقون

prohibitions, and Allah's honored bondmen who speak not

Instructions

حتى يقول ويعمل بأمره. رحمة الله

until He has spoken and act by His command. Allah's mercy

Instructions

وعليهم الصلاة والسلام. السلام على الأئمة،

and blessings, too, be upon them. Peace be upon the lmams,

Instructions

المبشرون، القادة، المرشدون، الرؤساء، الرؤساء

the heralds, the leaders, the guides, the chiefs, the

Instructions

السلطات، المدافعون، الحماة، شعب

authorities, the defenders, the protectors, the people of the

Instructions

(التذكير) أي القرآن، وأولي الأمر، وأصحاب اليسار

Reminder (i.e. the Qur'an), the men in authority, the left ones

Instructions

والله وخاصته وحزبه وحال علمه

by Allah, His select, His party, the case of His knowledge His

Instructions

حجته، وصراطه، ونوره، وبرهانه. رحمة الله

argument, His path, His light, and His proof. Allah's mercy

Instructions

وعليهم الصلاة والسلام. وأنا أشهد أن هناك

and blessings, too, be upon them. I bear witness that there is

Instructions

لا إله إلا الله؛ واحد ووحيد لا شريك له

no god save Allah; One and Only and having no partner with

Instructions

له كما شهد الله بوحدانيته التي له

Him just as Allah has testified to His Oneness to which His

Instructions

ويشهد الملائكة وبه العلماء. لا يوجد

angels and his knowledgeable creatures testify. There is no

Instructions

حفظه الله العزيز الحكيم. وأنا أشهد أيضا

god save Him, the Almighty, the All-wise. I also bear witness

Instructions

وأن محمداً عبده المختار والمقبول

that Muhammad is His elect servant and His approved

Instructions

رسول. أرسله بالهدى وبالهدى

Messenger. He sent him with right guidance and with the

Instructions

دين الحق ليظهره على الجميع

Religion of truth that He may cause it to prevail over all

Instructions

الأديان مهما كره عبدة الأوثان.

religions however much the idol-worshippers may be averse.

وأشهد أنكم جميعاً أئمة هداة،

I also bear witness that you all are the Imams, rightly guiding,

Instructions

حسن التوجيه، معصوم، شديد الوقار، قريب، قريب،

well-guided, infallible, highly revered, drawn near (to Allah),

Instructions

تقيًا، صادقًا، مختارًا، مطيعًا لله، مقيمًا

pious, veracious, well-chosen, obedient to Allah, establishing

Instructions

حكمه، وتطبيق إرادته، والفوز بإرادته

His rule, putting into practice His will, and winning His

Instructions

تكريم. اختارك لأجله (الأبدي)

honoring. He chose you on account of His (eternal)

Instructions

العلم، ورضي لك بحفظ غيبه

knowledge, approved of you to maintain His unseen

Instructions

العلم، اصطفاك لتبقى سره، قضى عليك

knowledge, selected you to keep His secret, decided on you

Instructions

وبواسطة قدرته المطلقة، جهزك بقدرته

by means of His omnipotence, equipped you with His

Instructions

الهدى، خصك ببراهينه الواضحة، اختارك

guidance, distinguished you with His clear proofs, chose you

Instructions

لتمسك بنوره، ويؤيدك بروحه القدوس، و

to hold His Light, supported you with His Holy spirit, and

Instructions

قبولكم خلفاء في بلاده، حججًا عليه

accepted you as vicegerents in His lands, arguments against

Instructions

كائناته، أنصار دينه، حافظون سره،

His beings, supporters of His religion, keepers of His secret,

Instructions

خزائن علمه، خزائن حكمته،

hoarders of His knowledge, stores of His wisdom,

Instructions

المفسرون لوحيه، أركان مهنته

interpreters of His revelation, pillars of the profession of His

Instructions

التوحيد، شهود على خلقه، آيات لعباده،

Oneness, witnesses on His creatures, signs for His servants,

Instructions

مشاعل في أرضه، وهداية إلى سبيله. الله قد

torches in His lands, and directors to His path. Allah has

Instructions

يحفظك من الزلات، ويضمنك من الفتنة

preserved you against slips, secured you against seditious

Instructions

الأمور، طهّرتك من الدنس، وذهبت منك

matters, purified you from dirt, removed away from you

Instructions

الرجس وطهركم تطهيرا . لذا،

uncleanness, and purified you with a thorough purifying. So,

Instructions

مجدت جلاله وأعلنت عظمته

you have glorified His majesty, declared great His

Instructions

عظمته، جل كرامته، أدام ذكره

magnificence, glorified His nobility, perpetuated mentioning

Instructions

هو أثبت عهده وثبت عهدكم

Him, consolidated His covenant, made firm your pledge of

Instructions

طاعته، والعمل بإخلاص له سرا و

obedience to Him, acted sincerely to Him privately and

Instructions

علانية، يدعو إلى طريقه بالحكمة والعدل

publicly, called unto His way with wisdom and fair

Instructions

موعظة، ضحوا بأنفسكم في سبيل البلوغ

admonition, sacrificed yourselves for the sake of attaining

Instructions

رضاه وصبرك على ما أصابك

His pleasure, acted patiently towards what has befallen you

Instructions

وأقام الصلاة في سبيله، وأدى الزكاة،

for His sake, performed the prayers, defrayed the poor-rate,

Instructions

أمر بالمعروف، ونهى عن المنكر، وجاهد في السبيل

enjoined the right, forbade the wrong, and strived in the way

Instructions

من الله كما ينبغي أن يكون السعي حتى تصنع

of Allah as exactly as striving should be until you made

Instructions

عرف دعوته، وأوضح التزاماته، ونفذ واجباته

known His call, rendered clear His obligations, executed His

Instructions

أحكام، نشرت للشرائع التي سنتها، عملت

provisions, propagated for the enacted laws of Him, acted

Instructions

ونفذ أحكامه، وحصل على رضاه بتنفيذ كل شيء

out His rules, attained His pleasure through carrying out all

Instructions

هذه الأمور، واستسلمت لمشيئته، وأكدها

these matters, surrendered to His will, and confirmed the

Instructions

صدق الرسل الذين سبقوه. لذلك أيا كان

truth of the past Messengers of Him. Therefore, whoever

Instructions

من تركك فهو مرتد، من تمسك بك فقد نال

forsakes you is apostate, whoever adheres to you will attain

Instructions

الوجهة ومن يتخلف عن القيام بالواجبات

the destination, and whoever fails to carry out the duties

Instructions

نحوك سوف يهلك. والحقيقة هي دائما معك،

towards you will perish. Verily, the truth is always with you,

Instructions

وسطك ومنك وإليك. أنتم الشعب و

amid you, from you, and to you. You are the people and the

Instructions

جوهرها (أي الحقيقة). ميراث النبوة هو

core of it (i.e. the truth). The inheritance of Prophethood is

Instructions

معك. الوجهة النهائية للمخلوقات هي لك.

with you. The ultimate destination of the creatures is to you.

Instructions

إن دعوتهم للمحاسبة هي مهمتك. الكلام الحاسم هو

Calling them to account is your mission. Decisive speech is

Instructions

معك. آيات الله بين يديك . له

with you. The verses of Allah is in your possession. His

Instructions

المراسيم الحتمية تعتمد عليك. نوره وبرهانه

unavoidable decrees rely upon you. His light and proof are

Instructions

معك. سلطانه عليك. من يعلن الولاء ل

with you. His authority is to you. Whoever declares loyalty to

Instructions

فقد أبديت الولاء لله من أظهر

you has in fact declared loyalty to Allah, whoever shows

Instructions

فإن عداوتك قد أظهرت عداوة لله،

enmity towards you has in fact shown enmity towards Allah,

Instructions

فمن أحبك فقد أحب الله، ومن أبغضك فقد أحب الله

whoever loves you has in fact loved Allah, whoever hates you

Instructions

فقد أبغض الله ومن يتمسك به فقد فيه

has in fact hated Allah, and whoever holds fast to you has in

Instructions

حقيقة ثابتة عند الله. أنت الصراط المستقيم (ل)

fact held fast to Allah. You are the most straight path,(l) the

Instructions

شهود دار الفناء هذه، الشفعاء في

witnesses of this abode of extinction, the intercessors in the

Instructions

دار الدوام، الرحمة المتصلة، العلامة المخزونة،

abode of permanence, the connected mercy, the stored sign,

Instructions

الوديعة المصونة، والباب الذي عليه الناس

the safeguarded deposit, and the door with which people are

Instructions

وضعت للاختبار. ومن أتى يكون قد خلص ولكن

put to test. Whoever comes to will have been saved but

Instructions

ومن امتنع عن الانضمام إليك فقد هلك. لله

whoever refrains from joining you will have perished. To Allah

Instructions

هل تدعو الناس إليه هل تدل على الطريق في

do you invite people, towards him do you show the way, in

Instructions

له تؤمنون له تسلّمون له

Him do you believe, to Him do you submit, upon His

Instructions

الأمر تعملون، وإلى سبيله تهدون، و

command do you act, to His path do you direct, and

Instructions

كقوله تحكمون. سعيد هو الذي هو

according to His saying do you judge. Happy is he who is

Instructions

مخلص لك، مقفر من يتركك، خائبا

loyal to you, desolate is he who forsakes you, disappointed is

Instructions

ومن ينكرك فهو الضال الذي يفصل نفسه

he who denies you, straying off is he who separates himself

Instructions

منك، الفائز من تمسك بك، المضمون من

from you, winner is he who adheres to you, secured is he who

Instructions

يلجأ إليك، يخلص من يعطيك مصداقية، و

resorts to you, saved is he who gives credence to you, and

Instructions

فالهدى هو من يحتمي بك. أما لمن

rightly guided is he who takes shelter in you. As to whoever

Instructions

ومن تبعك كانت الجنة مثواه. أما لمن

follows you, Paradise will be his abode. As to whoever

Instructions

ومن خالفك فالنار مثواه. هو الذي ينكرك

dissents you, Hellfire will be his dwelling. He who denies you

Instructions

كفر، ومن يحاربكم فهو مشرك،

is unbeliever, he who makes war against you is polytheist,

Instructions

ومن اعترض عليك فهو في أسفل الدرجات

and he who objects to you will be in the lowest tier of the

Instructions

نار مشتعلة. وأشهد أن كل ما سبق كان

burning fire. I bear witness that all the previous was

Instructions

مقرر لك وسيستمر في المستقبل؛ وهذا

predecided for you and it will continue in the future; and that

Instructions

نفوسكم ونوركم وصورتكم واحدة؛ مبروك

your souls, your light, and your form are the same; blessed

Instructions

وتطهيره، وواحد من الآخر. خلقكم الله نورا.

and purified, and one of the other. Allah created you as lights;

Instructions

ثم أطلعكم من عرشه حتى قضى

He then made you observe from His Throne until He endued

Instructions

لنا بفضل وجودك (بيننا) وبعد ذلك

us with the favor of your existence (among us) and then

Instructions

وجعلكم في بيوت أذن أن ترفع إليها

placed you in houses that He allowed to be raised and to

Instructions

وذكر اسمه فيها. كما قرر لدينا

have His Name mentioned therein. He also decided our

Instructions

الصلاة عليك ووفائنا لك أن تكون

invocation of blessings upon you and our loyalty to you to be

Instructions

طهارة خليقتنا، ونقاء نفوسنا، وتنقية

immaculacy of our creation, purity of our souls, refinement of

Instructions

أخلاقنا، ومغفرة ذنوبنا. لدينا هكذا

our manners, and forgiveness of our sins. We have thus

Instructions

فكن معه من المؤمنين بسبقك و

become, with Him, of those believing in your precedence and

Instructions

من المعروفين بمنحهم المصداقية لك. هكذا يا الله

of those known for their giving credence to you. Thus, Allah

Instructions

ورفعك إلى أعلى مقام الكرامة

has raised you to the most principled place of the honored

Instructions

وأعلى مقام المقربين إليه، و

ones, the highest station of those drawn near to Him, and the

Instructions

أعلى مراتب الرسل حيث لا يبلغها أحد

loftiest ranks of the Messengers where none can ever reach

Instructions

أنت، ولا يمكن لأحد أن يتفوق عليك، ولا. يمكن لأي شخص من أي وقت مضى

you, nor can anyone ever surpass you, nor. can anyone ever

Instructions

يسبقك فلا يمكن لأحد أن يتطلع للوصول إليه

precede you, no can anyone ever look forward to reaching

Instructions

مواقفك، وبالتالي، لا رئيس الملائكة، بتكليف

your positions, therefore, no archangel, commissioned

Instructions

نبيًا وصديقًا وشهيدًا وعالمًا

Prophet, a veracious one, a martyr, a knowledgeable one, an

Instructions

الجاهل، الأدنى، الأعلى، المؤمن الصالح، أ

ignorant one, an inferior, a superior, a righteous believer, a

Instructions

آثم شرير، طاغية عنيد، متمرد شيطاني، أو أي شيء

wicked sinner, an obstinate tyrant, a devilish rebel, or any

Instructions

والشهود الآخرون هم من بين هذه الطبقات – كل هؤلاء

other witnessing being among these classes— all of those

Instructions

قد أخبرك الله بعظمة أمرك

were informed by Allah about the majesty of your issue, the

Instructions

أهمية مكانتك، وعظمة هيبتك،

importance of your standing, the greatness of your prestige,

Instructions

دقة إضاءتك وصدقك

the thoroughness of your illumination, the honesty of your

Instructions

موقفك، وثبات موقفك، وشرف موقفك

position, the firmness of your stance, the honor of your

Instructions

مكانتك ومكانتك عنده، سمعتك المستقيمة

station and position with Him, your upstanding reputation

Instructions

معه، ومكانتك الخاصة عنده، وقريبك

with Him, your special position with Him, and your close

Instructions

الموقع إليه. أتمنى أن يكون والدي، وأمي، وقريبتي، وأهل بيتي

location to Him. May my father, my mother, my kin, my

Instructions

المال وأهلي فداء لكم. أتوسل إلى الله

property, and my family be ransoms for you. I beseech Allah

Instructions

وأطلب منكم جميعاً أن تشهدوا لي أني أؤمن بكم

and I beseech you all to witness for me that I believe in you

Instructions

بكل ما تؤمنون به، أنا أتبرأ من أعدائكم

all and in that in which you believe, I renounce your enemies

Instructions

وما تنكرونه فإني أعلم بأمركم

and whatever you renounce, I am fully aware of your matter

Instructions

ومن انحراف من خالفك فأنا موالي

and of the deviation of those who oppose you, l am loyalist

Instructions

لكم ولأوليائكم أكره أعداءكم وأظهر

to you and to your loyalists, I hate your enemies and I show

Instructions

عداوة لهم فإني سلم لمن صنع

enmity towards them, I am at peace with those who make

Instructions

السلام عليكم، أنا أقف في الميدان ضد أولئك الذين يسيرون

peace with you, I take the field against those who march

Instructions

ضدك، أقبل ما قررته على أنه صحيح

against you, l accept as true that which you have decided as

Instructions

صحيح، أثبت كذب ما قررت أنه باطل، أنا

true, I prove false that which you have decided as false, l am

Instructions

مطيعًا لك، أعرف حقك، وأعترف لك

obedient to you, I recognize your right, I confess of your

Instructions

التفوق، أحفظ علمك، وألجأ إليه

superiority, I preserve your knowledge, I take refuge under

Instructions

ملجأك الحامي، أنا أعترف بك، أنا أؤمن بمجيئك

your protective shelter, I profess you, I believe in your coming

Instructions

العودة (إلى هذا العالم)، أعطي مصداقية لعودتك، أنا

back (to this world), I give credence to your return, l am

Instructions

في انتظار مشكلتك، أنا أتوقع حكمك، وأتقبله

awaiting your issue, I am expecting your rule, I take in your

Instructions

أقوال، أنا أنفذ أوامرك، أحتمي بك، أصنع

sayings, I carry out your orders, I take shelter in you, I make

Instructions

زياراتكم ألجأ إليها وأستجير بها في قبوركم، 1

visits to you I resort to and seek protection in your graves, 1

Instructions

أطلب شفاعتك لي عند الله تعالى و

seek your intercession for me with Allah the Almighty and

Instructions

عز وجل أتقرب إليه بأسمائكم أرزق

All- majestic, I seek nearness to Him in your names, I provide

Instructions

أنت وسيلتي للسعي لتحقيق رغباتي،

you as my means for seeking fulfillment of my desires,

Instructions

أعتقد أن احتياجاتي ورغباتي في كل سلوكياتي وشؤوني

needs, and wishes, in all of my manners and affairs, I believe

Instructions

في خفائك، ورؤيتك، وحضورك، وغيابك، أولًا، وآخرًا

in your invisibility, visibility, presence, absence, first, and last

Instructions

منك، وأستودعك كل ذلك وأخضع له كله

of you, and I confide all that to you and submit to all of it with

Instructions

أنت. قلبي لك خاضع، ورأيي يتبع

you. My heart is subservient to you, my opinion is following

Instructions

لك، ودعمي لك قائم إلى أن يشاء الله تعالى.

yours, and my support to you is all set until Allah the All-

Instructions

تعالى يحيي بك دينه يأتيك

exalted restores His religion to life through you, brings you

Instructions

مرة أخرى في أيامه، يسمح لك بالظهور

back again in His days, allows you to appear for

Instructions

(يقيم) عدله، ويمنحك القدرة على الحكم فيه

(establishing) His justice, and gives you power to rule in His

Instructions

أرض. لذا، أنا (دائمًا) معك، معك، ولكن ليس مع أي أحد

land. So, l am (always) with you, with you, but not with any

Instructions

واحد غيرك. إنني أثق بك تمامًا، وأعلن ثقتي فيك

one other than you. I have full faith in you, and I declare my

Instructions

الولاء لآخركم كما أعلنته لأولكم

loyalty to the last of you just as I declared it to the first of

Instructions

أنت. عند الله عز وجل، ل

you. In the presence of Allah the Almighty and All-majestic, l

Instructions

إنبذوا من أعداءكم، ومن جميع الأصنام، والآلهة الباطلة، والشياطين، و

repudiate your enemies, all idols, false deities, the devils, and

Instructions

حزبهم الذين ظلموكم ومنعوا حقوقكم

their party who have wronged you, denied your rights,

Instructions

مرتدا عن قيادتكم (المكلفة إلهيا)،

apostatized from your (divinely commissioned) leadership,

Instructions

اغتصبت ميراثك، وأثارت الشكوك فيك، و

usurped your inheritance, arisen doubts about you, and

Instructions

انحرفت عنك، و(أنا أتبرأ) من أي التزام بأحد

deviated from you, and (I repudiate) any adherence to anyone

Instructions

ولم يطاع غيرك غيرك والأمراء

other than you, any obeyed one save you, and the leaders

Instructions

الذين يدعون إلى النار . الله يثبتني إلى الأبد ما دامت

who call to Hellfire. May Allah make me firm forever as long

Instructions

فأنا حي على الولاء لك، والحب لك، وفيك

as l am alive on loyalty to you, love for you, and on your

Instructions

دِين. وأن يوفقني إلى طاعتك،

religion. May He grant me success in obedience to you,

Instructions

هب لي بشفاعتك، واجعلني من أفضلهم

endue me with your intercession, make me of the best of

Instructions

ومواليك الذين ينفذون كل ما دعوت إليه،

your loyalists who carry out all that to which you have called,

Instructions

واجعلني ممن يتتبع خطواتك

and make me of those who are tracking your footsteps,

Instructions

سائرين على طريقك متبعين هداك ( والذين

taking your path, following your guidance, (and those who

Instructions

هي) بعث في مجموعتك، نظرا لفرصة الظهور

are) resurrected in your group, given the chance to appear

Instructions

you has Allah begun creation and with you will He seal it. For

your sake does He pour down rain, for your sake does He

withhold the heavens from falling on the earth except by His

permission, and out of consideration for you does He

dismiss agonies and relieves harms. In your possession is all

that which His Messengers brought down and with which His

angels descended. To your forefather(1) was the Honest

Spirit sent. Allah has given you that which He has not given

to any one all over the worlds. All highborn ones nod down

their heads before your noble lineage, all arrogant ones

submit to the obedience to you, all insolent oppressors

succumb to your excellence, all things are humiliated before

you, the earth has been lit up with your light, and the winners

affairs are! How majestic your stations are! How dependable

العهود الخاصة بك هي! ما مدى صدق وعودك! لك

your covenants are! How truthful your promises are! Your

الكلمات هي الإضاءة. شؤونك هي (تؤدي إلى)

words are illumination. Your affairs are (leading to)

الأرثوذكسية. وصاياك هي التقوى. أعمالك كلها جيدة.

orthodoxy. Your precepts are piety. Your deeds are all good.

عاداتك صدقة. طبيعتك هي الكرم. مشكلتك

Your habits are charity. Your nature is generosity. Your issue

هو الصدق والصدق والتساهل. كلامك هو الأحكام

is truth, honesty, and lenience. Your words are Judgements

Verily, You are the most merciful of all those who show mercy. May Allah send blessings upon Muhammad and his immaculate Household and send His thorough peace upon them. Allah is Sufficient for us! Most Excellent is He in Whom we trust.

وقد ذكر الشيخ الطوسي أيضاً هذا الشكل من الزيارة في كتابه تهذيب الأحكام وأتبعه بنوع من توديع الأئمة (عليهم السلام). ولكني تجنبت ذكر هذه الصيغة خوفا من الإطالة.

Shaykh alTusi, too, has mentioned this form of ziyarah in his book of Tahdhib alAhkam and followed it up with a form of bidding farewell to the lmams ('a). However, I have shunned mentioning this form for fear of lengthiness.

As stated by 'Aliamah alMajlisi, this form of ziyarah is considered the most sublime comprehensive forms in text, chain of authority, eloquence, and lucidity.

وقد ذكر والد عليامة المجلسي في تعليقه على مناية زور الفقيه أن هذه الزيارة هي أفضل وأكمل صورة، وأنه ما دام في مرقد أحد من الأئمة عليهم السلام فإنه لا يقول غير هذه الصورة.

In his commentary on manlayahzuruhulfaqih, 'Aliamah alMajlisi's father has mentioned that this form of ziyarah is the most excellent and most perfect form and that as long as he would be in a shrine of any of the Holy Imams ('a), he would say no other form than this one.

وقد ذكر الشيخ الطوسي أيضاً هذا النوع من الزيارة في كتابه تهذيب الأحكام وأتبعه بنوع من توديع الأئمة (عليهم السلام). ولكني تجنبت ذكر هذه الصيغة خوفا من الإطالة.

Shaykh al-Tusi, too, has mentioned this form of ziyarah in his book of Tahdhib al-Ahkam and followed it up with a form of bidding farewell to the Imams ('a). However, I have shunned mentioning this form for fear of lengthiness.

وقد ذكر والد العلامة المجلسي في تعليقه على من لا يحضره الفقيه أن هذه الزيارة هي أفضل وأكمل صورة وأنه ما دام في مرقد أحد من الأئمة عليهم السلام فإنه لا يقول غير هذه الصورة.

In his commentary on man-la-yahzuruhul-faqih, 'Allamah al- Majlisi's father has mentioned that this form of ziyarah is the most excellent and most perfect form and that as long as he would be in a shrine of any of the Holy Imams ('a), he would say no other form than this one.
