ZIYARAH OF ABD AL-AZIM

Translation of ZIYARAH OF ABD AL-AZIM

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى اَدَمَ صِفْوَةِ اللهِ

Peace be upon Adam, God’s chosen one

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى نُوْحِ نَبِيِّ اللهِ

Peace be upon Noah, the Prophet of God

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى اِبْرَاهِيْمَ خَلِيْلِ اللهِ

Peace be upon Abraham, God’s friend

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى مُؤْسى كَلِيْمِ اللهِ

Peace be upon Musa, Word of God

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى عِيْسْ رُوْحِ اللهِ

Peace be upon Jesus, the spirit of God

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللهِ

Peace be upon you, O Messenger of God

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَيْرَ خَلْقِ اللهِ

Peace be upon you, O best of God’s creation

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَفِيَّ اللهِ

Peace be upon you, O pure God

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ

Peace be upon you, Muhammad bin Abdullah

خَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ

The Seal of the Prophets

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

Peace be upon you, O Commander of the Faithful

عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِيْ طَالِبِ

Ali bin Abi Talib

وَصِيَّ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

Guardian of the Messenger of God

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا فَاطِمَةُ

Peace be upon you, Fatima

سَيِّدَةَ نِسَاَءِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

Mistress of the women of the worlds

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمَا يَا سِبْطَي الرَّحْمَةِ

Peace be upon you, O tribes of mercy.

وَ سَيِّدَيْ شَبَابِ اَهْلِ الجَنَّةِ

And my lords, the youth of the people of Paradise

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ

Peace be upon you, Ali bin Al-Hussein.

سَيِّدَ الْعَابِدِيْنَ وَقْرَّةَ عَيْنِ النَّاظِرِيْنَ

Master of the worshipers and the apple of the eyes of the beholders

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِيَّ

Peace be upon you, Muhammad bin Ali

بَاقِرَ الْعِلْمِ بَعْدَ النَّبِيِّ

The most knowledgeable after the Prophet

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا جَعْفَرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ

Peace be upon you, O Jafar bin Muhammad.

الصَادِقَ الْبَآرَّ الْأَمِيْنَ

The truthful, the righteous and the faithful

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُؤْسَى بْنَ جَغْفَرٍ

Peace be upon you, Musa bin Jafar.

"الظَّاهِرَ الطُّهرَ

“The apparent, pure one

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُؤْسَى

Peace be upon you, Ali bin Musa

الرِّضَا الْمُرْتَضى

Desirable satisfaction

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُحَمَدَ بْنَ عَلِيِّ اِلتَّٰقِيَّ

Peace be upon you, O Muhammad ibn Ali the pious

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ

Peace be upon you, Ali bin Muhammad

اِلنَّقِيَّ النَّاصِحَ الاَمِيْنَ

The pure, sincere and faithful advisor

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيِّ

Peace be upon you, Hassan bin Ali

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الْوَصِيِّ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ

Peace be upon the successor after him

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى نُوْرِكَ وَ سِرَاجِكَ

Oh God, bless your light and your lamp

وَ وَلِيِّ وَلِيِّكَ

And my guardian is your guardian

وَ وَصِيِّ وَصِيِّكَ

And your guardian

وَ حُجَّتِكَ عَلَى خَلْقِكَ

And your proof is against your creation

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ آَيُّهَا السَّيِّدُ الذَّكِيُّ

Peace be upon you, O intelligent Mr.

وَ الطَاهِرُ الصَّفِيُّ

And Al-Taher Al-Safi

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ السَّادَةِ الْاَطْهَارِ

Peace be upon you, son of the most pure gentlemen.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْمُصطَفَيْنَ الْاَخْيَارِ

Peace be upon you, son of the chosen ones.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ

Peace be upon the Messenger of God

وَ عَلَى ذُرِّيَّةٍ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

And upon the descendants of the Messenger of God

وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ.

And God's mercy and blessings.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الْعَبْدِ الصَّالِحِ

Peace be upon the righteous servant

الْمُطِيْعِ للهِ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

The one who is obedient to God, Lord of the worlds

وَ لِرَسُوْلِهِ وَ لِاَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

And to His Messenger and to the Commander of the Faithful

ٱَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ

Peace be upon you, Abul-Qasim.

ابْنَ السَّبْطِ الْمُنْتَجَبِ الْمُجْتَبُى

The son of the chosen tribe, the chosen one.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ بِزِيَارَتِهِ ثَوَابُ زِيَارَةِ سَيِّدِ الشَّهَدَاءِ يُزْتَجَى

Peace be upon you, O one whose visit is rewarded for visiting the Lord of Martyrs.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ

Peace be upon you

عَرَّفَ اللهُ بَيْتَنَا وَ بَيْنَكُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ

God made our house known and among you in Paradise

وَ حَشَرَنَا فِيْ زُمْرَتِكُمْ

And He gathered us into your group

وَ اَوْرَدَنَا حَوْضَ نَبِيَّكُمْ

And We brought you to the basin of your Prophet

وَ سَقَانَا بِكَأْسِ جَدِّكُمْ

And he made us drink your grandfather's cup

مِنْ يَدِ عَلِيَّ بْنِ آَبِيْ طَالِبٍ

From the hand of Ali bin Abi Talib

صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْكُمْ

May God’s blessings be upon you

أَسْاَلَ اللهَ آَنْ يُرِيَنَا فِيْكُمُ السُّرُوْرَ وَ الْفَرَجَ

I ask God to show us happiness and relief in you.

وَ اَنْ يَجْمَعَنَا وَ اِيَّاكُمْ فِيْ زُمْرَةِ جَدَّكُمْ

And to gather us and you in the group of your grandfathers.

مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ الِهِ

Muhammad, may God bless him and his family

وَ اَنْ لَا يَسْلُبَنَا مَعْرِفَتَكُمْ

And that we do not rob us of your knowledge.

اِنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ قَدِيْرٌ

He is a powerful guardian

أَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَى اللهِ بِحْبَّكُمْ

I draw closer to God through your love

وَ الْبَرَآءَةِ مِنْ اَعْدَائِكُمْ

And disavowal of your enemies

وَ التَّسْلِيْمِ إِلَى اللهِ

And submission to God

رَاضِيًا بِهِ غَيْرَ مُنكَرٍ وَ لَا مُسْتَكْبِرٍ

content with it, neither denying nor arrogant

وَ عَلَى يَقِيْنٍ مَا أَثى بِهِ مُحَمَّدْ

And with certainty what Muhammad did wrong.

وَ بِهِ رَاضٍ

And he is satisfied with it

نَظلُبُ بِذلِكَ وَجْهَكَ

We will obscure your face with that

يَا سَيَّدِيْ اَللّهُمَّ وَ رِضَاكَ

Oh my lord, may God be pleased with you

وَ الدَّارَ الأخِرَةَ

And the Hereafter

يَا سَيِّدِيْ وَ ابْنَ سَيِّدِيْ اِشفَع لِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ

O my master and son of my master, intercede for me in Paradise.

فَاِنَّ لَكَ عِنْدَ اللهِ شَأْنًا مِنَ الشَّأْنِ

For you have a special status with God.

اَللَّهُمّ إِنَّي اَساَلُكَ اَنْ تَخْتِمَ لِي بِالسَّعَادَةِ

Oh God, I ask you to end my life with happiness.

فَلَا تَسْلُبْ مِنَّيْ مَا أَنَا فِيْهِ

Do not take away from me what I am in.

وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِيَّ الْعَظِيمِ

There is no power nor strength except in God, the Most High, the Great

اَللَّهُمَّ اسْتَجِبْ لَنَا

Oh God, answer us

وَ تَقَبَلْهُ بِكَرَمِكَ وَ عِزَّتِكَ

And accept it with your generosity and dignity.

وَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ وَ عَافِيَتِكَ

And with your mercy and well-being

وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِهِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ

And may God’s blessings be upon Muhammad and his family all

وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيْمًا يَآ آَرحَمَ الرَّاجِمِيْنَ.

And grant us peace, O Most Merciful of those who stone the stones.
