Virtues, description, and recitation method of THE ZIYARAH OF MUSLIM IBN AQIL as recorded in Shia traditions.
Fadhila, maelezo, na njia ya usomaji wa JIYARAH YA MUISLAMU IBN AQIL kama ilivyopokelewa katika mapokezi ya Shia.
اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ الْمَلِكِ الْحَقُّ الْمُبِيْنِ
This supplicatory prayer, which is said at the holy shrine of
Sala hii ya dua, ambayo inasemwa kwenye kaburi takatifu la
الْمُتَصَاغِرِ لِعَظَمَتِهِ جَبَابِرَةُ الطَاغِيْنَ
al'Abbas ('a), will be mentioned later on at the end of the Ziyarah form of al-'Abbas. All praise be to Allah: the Lord and the evident Truth. All the tyrannical oppressors are subservient to His almightiness.
al'Abbas ('a), itatajwa baadaye mwishoni mwa umbo la Ziyarah la al-'Abbas. Sifa njema zote ni za Mwenyezi Mungu: Mola Mlezi na Haki iliyo wazi. Madhalimu wote madhalimu wananyenyekea kwa uweza Wake.
الْمُعْتَرِفِ بِرُبُوْبِيَّتِهِ جَمِيْعُ اَهْلِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْارَضِيْنَ
All the inhabitants of the heavens and the layers of the earth
Wakaaji wote wa mbinguni na tabaka za ardhi
الْمُقِرِّ بِتَوْجِيْدِهِ سَآئِرُ الْخَلْقِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ
admit His Godhead. All the created beings confess of His
kuukiri Uungu Wake. Viumbe vyote vilivyoumbwa vinakiri Yake
وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلْى سَيِّدِ الْأَنَامِ
Oneness. May Allah send blessings upon the master of all
Umoja. Mwenyezi Mungu ampe baraka bwana wa yote
وَ اهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الْكِرَامِ
created beings and upon the members of his Household; the
viumbe na juu ya watu wa Kaya yake; ya
صَلَاةً تَقَرُّ بِهَا اَعْيُنُهُمْ
noble ones, such blessings that delight them and humiliate
watukufu, baraka kama hizo zinazowafurahisha na kuwadhalilisha
وَ يَرْغَمُ بِهَا اَنْفُ شَانِئِهِمْ
مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَ الْإِنْسِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ
all those who antagonize them from all jinn and mankind.
wale wote wanaowafanyia uadui katika majini na watu wote.
سَلَامُ اللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ
Peace of Allah the All-high and All-great, and peace of His
Amani ya Mwenyezi Mungu Aliye juu na Mkuu, na amani yake
وَ سَلَامُ مَلَائِكَةِ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ
وَ اَنْبِيَآئِهِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ
وَ اَئِمَتِهِ الْمُنتَجَبِيْنَ
favorite angels, His missioned Prophets, His choice Imams,
Malaika wapenzi, Mitume wake waliotumwa na Maimamu wake wateule,
وَ عِبَادِهِ الصَّالِحِيْنَ
His righteous servants, and all the martyrs and veracious
Waja wake wema, na mashahidi wote na waaminifu
وَ جَمِيْعِ الشَّهَدَاءِ وَ الصِّدِّيْقِينَ
وَ الزَّاكِيَاتُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ
ones, and all blessings that are pure and delightful, that are
moja, na baraka zote ambazo ni safi na za kupendeza, ambazo ni
فِيْمَا تَفْتَدِيْ وَ تَرُوْحُ
coming and going, be upon you, Muslim the son of 'Agll the

عَلَيْكَ يَا مُسْلِمَ بْنَ عَقِيْلِ بْنِ اَبِيْ طَالِبِ
وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ
son of Abu-Talib. Allah's mercy and benedictions be upon
mtoto wa Abu Talib. Rehema na Baraka za Mwenyezi Mungu ziwe juu yake
اَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ اَقْمْتَ الصَّلَاةَ
you. I bear witness that you performed the prayers, defrayed
wewe. Nashuhudia ya kwamba uliswali, ukiwa umefeli
وَ أتَّيْتَ الزَّكَاةَ
the zakat, enjoined the right, forbade the wrong, strove in the
Zakat, iliyoamrisha mema, na kukataza maovu, na kupigania katika
وَاَمَرْتَ بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ
وَ نَهَيْتَ عَنِ المُنْكَرِ
way of Allah in the best manner of striving, and you were
Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu kwa namna bora ya jihadi, na mlikuwa
وَ جَاهَدْتَ فِي اللهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ
slain following the course of those who strive in Allah's way
waliouawa kwa kufuata mwendo wa wale wanaopigania Njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu
وَقْتِلْتَ عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ الْمُجَاهِدِيْنَ فِي سَبِيْلِهِ
until you met Allah, to Whom belong all might and majesty,
mpaka mtakapokutana na Mwenyezi Mungu ambaye utukufu na utukufu ni wake.
حَثّى لَقِيْتَ اللهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ هُوَ عَنْكَ رَاضٍ
while He is pleased with you. And I bear witness that you
na hali Yeye yuko radhi nawe. Nami nashuhudia kuwa wewe
وَ اَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ وَفَيْتَ بِعَهْدِ اللهِ
fulfilled your covenant with Allah and sacrificed yourself for
ulitimiza ahadi yako na Mwenyezi Mungu na ukajitolea mhanga kwa ajili yake
وَ بَذَلْتَ نَفْسَكَ فِي نُصْرَةِ حُجَةِ اللهِ وَ ابْنِ حُجَتِهِ
the sake of supporting Allah's argument and the son of
kwa ajili ya kuunga mkono hoja ya Mwenyezi Mungu na mwana wa
حَثَّى أَتَاكَ الْيَقِيْنُ
Allah's argument (namely, Imam al-Husayn) until death came
Hoja ya Mwenyezi Mungu (yaani, Imamu al-Husayn) mpaka mauti yakafika
اَشهَدُ لَكَ بِالتَّسْلِيْمِ وَ الْوَفَآءِ
upon you. I bear witness that you submitted and acted loyally
juu yako. Nashuhudia kwamba ulijisalimisha na ukatenda kwa uaminifu
وَ التَّصِيْحَةِ لِخَلَفِ النَّبِيِّ الْمُرْسَلِ
to him and that you acted sincerely to the successor of the
kwake na kwamba ulitenda ikhlasi kwa mrithi wa
وَ السَّبْطِ الْمُنْتَجَبِ
missioned Prophet, the select grandson (of the Prophet), the
Mtume aliyetumwa, mjukuu mteule (wa Mtume).
وَ الدَّلِيْلِ الْعَالِمِ
وَ الْوَصِيِّ الْمُبَلَّغِ
guide (to the right path), the knowledgeable, the Prophet's
muongozo (katika njia iliyonyooka), mjuzi, wa Mtume
وَ الْمَظْلُوْمِ الْمُهْتَضَمِ
successor, the conveyor(of his mission), the wronged, and
mrithi, mfikishaji (wa utume wake), aliyedhulumiwa, na
فَجَزَاكَ اللهُ عَنْ رَسُوْلِهِ
the oppressed Imam. May Allah reward you on behalf of His
Imam aliyedhulumiwa. Mwenyezi Mungu akulipe kwa niaba yake
وَ عَنْ آَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
Messenger, on behalf of the Commander of the Faithful, and
Mtume, kwa niaba ya Amirul-Muuminina, na
وَ عَنِ الحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ
on behalf of al-Hasan and al-Husayn with the best of
kwa niaba ya al-Hasan na al-Husayn pamoja na bora ya
بِمَا صَبَرْتَ وَ اختَسَبْتَ وَ اَعَنتَ
rewarding that befits your steadfastness, reliance (on Allah),
malipo yanayolingana na uimara wenu na kumtegemea Mwenyezi Mungu.
فِنِعَمَ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ
and assistance. How excellent is the final home! May Allah
na msaada. Nyumba ya mwisho ni bora sana! Mwenyezi Mungu
لَعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ قَتَلَكَ
وَلَعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ اَمَرَ بِقَثْلِكَ
curse him who slew you. May Allah curse him who ordered of
mlaani aliyekuua. Mwenyezi Mungu amlaani aliyeamrisha
وَ لَعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ ظَلَمَكَ
slaying you. May Allah curse him who wronged you. May
kukuua. Mwenyezi Mungu amlaani aliyekudhulumu. Mei
وَلَعَنَ اللهُ مَن افْتَرْى عَلَيْكَ
Allah curse him who forged lies against you. May Allah curse
Mwenyezi Mungu amlaani aliye kuzulia uwongo. Mwenyezi Mungu alaani
وَلَعَنَ اللَهُ مَنْ جَهِلَ حَقَّكَ
وَ اسْتَخَفَّ بِحُزْمَتِكَ
him who underestimated your position and belittled your
aliyedharau msimamo wako na kukudharau
وَ لَعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ بَايَعَكَ وَ غَشَّكَ
sanctity. May Allah curse those who cheated you after they
utakatifu. Mwenyezi Mungu awalaani wale waliokulaghai baada yao
وَ خَذَلَكَ وَ اَسْلَمَكَ
had sworn allegiance to you, those who disappointed and let
alikuwa ameapa utii kwako, wale ambao wamekata tamaa na kuruhusu
وَ مَنْ آَلَبَّ عَلَيْكَ وَ لَمْ يُعِثْكَ
you down, and those who allied against you instead of
wewe chini, na wale walio fanya washirika dhidi yako badala yako
الْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِيْ جَعَلَ النَّارَ مَثْوَاهُمْ
assisting you. All praise be to Allah Who decided Hellfire to
kukusaidia. Sifa njema zote njema anastahiki Mwenyezi Mungu Aliyeamua Moto wa Jahannam
وَ بِئْسَ الْوِزْدُ الْمَوْرُوْدُ
be the eternal abode of those peoples. Woeful indeed will be
kuwa makao ya milele ya watu hao. Kweli itakuwa mbaya
اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ قُتِلْتَ مَظْلُوْمًا
the place to which they are led! I bear witness that you were
mahali ambapo wanaongozwa! Nashuhudia kwamba ulikuwa
وَ اَنَّ اللهَ مُنْجِزٌ لَكُمْ مَا وَعَدَكُمْ
slain wrongly and that Allah shall fulfill His promise to you.
waliouawa kwa dhulma na kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu atakutekelezeni ahadi yake.
جِثْثُكَ زَائِرًا عَارِفًا بِحَقَّكُمْ
As | am visiting you, I recognize your right, l am submissive
Kama | ninakutembelea, natambua haki yako, niko mtiifu
مُسَلَّمًا لَكُمْ
to you, l am imitating your course, and I am preparing myself
kwako, ninaiga mkondo wako, na ninajitayarisha
وَ نُصْرَتِيْ لَكُمْ مُعَدَّةْ
حَثّى يَحكُمَ اللهُ وَ هُوَ خَيْرُ الْحَاكِمِيْنَ
for supporting you until Allah judges, and He is the best of
kwa kukusaidieni mpaka Mwenyezi Mungu ahukumu, naye ndiye Mbora wao
فَمَعَكُمْ مَعَكُمْ
judges. So, I am always with you and I never am with your
waamuzi. Kwa hivyo, mimi ni pamoja nawe kila wakati na siko na wewe kamwe
صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْكُمْ
enemies. May Allah's peace be upon you and upon your souls
maadui. Amani ya Mwenyezi Mungu iwe juu yenu na juu ya nafsi zenu
وَ عَلَى أَرْوَاحِكُمْ وَ اَجْسَادِكُمْ
and bodies and upon the present from you and the absent
na miili na juu ya sasa kutoka kwenu na wasiokuwepo
وَ شَاهِدِكُمْ وَ غَائِبِكُمْ
وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ
one. Peace and Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you.
moja. Amani na rehema za Mwenyezi Mungu na baraka ziwe juu yenu.
قَتَلَ اللهُ أُمَّةً قَتَلَثِكُمْ بِالْأَيْدِيْ وَ الْاَلْسُنِ.
May Allah kill the groups that have killed you with deeds and words.
Mwenyezi Mungu awaue makundi yaliyokuuwa kwa vitendo na maneno.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ آَيُّهَا الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ
Peace be upon you, O righteous servant (of Allah), who is
Amani iwe juu yako ewe mja mwema (wa Mwenyezi Mungu) uliye
الْمُطِيعُ للهُ وَ لِرَسُوْلِهِ وَ لِاَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
obedient to Allah, to His Messenger, to the Commander of
mtiifu kwa Mwenyezi Mungu, kwa Mtume Wake, kwa Amiri wa
وَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ
the Faithful, to al-Hasan, and to al-Husayn, peace be upon
Mwaminifu, kwa al-Hasan, na kwa al-Husayn, amani iwe juu yake
اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ
them. All praise be to Allah and all peace be upon His
yao. Sifa njema zote ni za Mwenyezi Mungu na amani ziwe juu yake
وَسَلَامُ [سَلَامُهُ] عَلَى عِبَادِهِ الَّذِيْنَ اضطَفى
servants whom He has chosen: Muhammad and his
watumishi aliowachagua: Muhammad na wake
وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ
وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ وَ مَغْفِرَتُهُ
Household. Peace, Allah's mercy, blessings, and forgiveness
Kaya. Amani, rehema ya Mwenyezi Mungu, baraka na msamaha
وَ عَلَى رُوْحِكَ وَ بَدَنِكَ
be upon you and upon your soul and your body. l bear
iwe juu yako na juu ya roho yako na mwili wako. mimi kubeba
اَشهَدُ انَّكَ مَضَيْتَ عَلْى مَا مَضى عَلَيْهِ [بِهِ] الْبَدْرِيُونَ
witness that you died for the same principles for which the
shahidi kwamba ulikufa kwa kanuni zile zile ambazo kwa ajili yake
الْمُجَاهِدُوْنَ فِي سَبِيْلِ اللهِ
martyrs of the Battle of Badr died: those who strove in Allah's
wakafa mashahidi wa Vita vya Badr, wale waliopigana katika ya Mwenyezi Mungu
الْمُبَالِغُوْنَ فِيْ جِهَادِ اَعْدَائِهِ
way and did their best in struggling against Allah's enemies
na wakafanya kila wawezalo katika kupambana na maadui wa Mwenyezi Mungu
وَ نُضرَةٍ اَوْلِيَائِهِ
and in supporting Allah's friends. So, may Allah reward you
na katika kuwaunga mkono marafiki wa Mwenyezi Mungu. Basi Mwenyezi Mungu akulipe
فَجَزَاكَ اللهُ اَفْضَلَ الْجَزَآءِ
with the best rewarding, with the most abundant rewarding,
kwa thawabu bora zaidi, na thawabu nyingi zaidi,
وَ اَكْثَرَ الْجَزَاءِ
and with the most affluent rewarding that He grants to one
na kwa ujira wa ukwasi anao mruzuku mtu
وَ اَوْفَرَ جَزَآءِ آَحَدٍ مِمَّنْ وَفى بِبَيْعَتِهِ
who fulfilled his allegiance to Him, responded to His
ambaye alitimiza utiifu wake Kwake, aliitikia Kwake
وَ اسْتَجَابَ لَهُ دَعْوَتَهُ
وَ اطَاعَ وُلَاةَ آَمْرِهِ
invitation, and obeyed His representatives. l bear witness
mwaliko, na kuwatii wawakilishi wake. nashuhudia
اَشهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ بَالَغْتَ فِي النَّصِيحَةِ
that you exerted all efforts in acting sincerely and you put
kwamba ulifanya juhudi zote katika kutenda kwa uaminifu na uliweka
وَ اَعْطَيْتَ غَايَةَ الْمَجْهُوْدِ
حَثِّى بَعَثَكَ اللهُ فِي الشُّهَدَآءِ
forth all possible endeavors so that Allah has included you
fanya juhudi zote ili Mwenyezi Mungu akujaalie
وَ جَعَلَ رُوْحَكَ مَعَ اَرْوَاحِ السُّعَدَاءِ
with the martyrs, put your soul with the souls of the delighted
pamoja na mashahidi, weka roho yako pamoja na roho za waliofurahi
وَ اَغْطَاكَ مِنْ جِنَانِهِ اَفْسَحَهَا مَنْزِلًا
ones, has decided for you the most spacious abode in the
ndio amekupangieni makazi pana zaidi
وَ اَفْضَلَهَا غُرَفًا
gardens of His Paradise and the best rooms therein, raised

وَ رَفَعَ ذِكْرَكَ فِي الْعِلَّيِّيْنَ
your name to the 'illiyyIn (the loftiest place), and added you to

وَ حَشَرَكَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَ الصِّدِّيْقِيْنَ
the group of the Prophets, the veracious ones, the martyrs,
kundi la Mitume, wachamungu, mashahidi,
وَ الشَّهَدَاءِ وَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ
and the righteous ones. How excellent is the company of

وَ حَسُنَ أُوْلِئِكَ رَفِيْقًا
أَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ لَمْ تَهِنْ وَ لَمْ تَتْكُلْ
these. I I bear witness that you never slackened or recoiled
haya. Mimi nashuhudia kwamba hukulegea au kulegea
وَ اَنَّكَ قَدْ مَضَّيْتَ عَلَى بَصِيْرَةٍ مِنْ آمْرِكَ
(from your duty) and that you died while you are certain of
(kutokana na wajibu wako) na kwamba ulikufa na hali una yakini nayo
مُقْتَدِيَا بِالصَالِحِيْنَ
your doctrine as you followed the righteous ones and
mafundisho yako kama ulivyowafuata watu wema na
وَ مُتَّبِعًا لِلنَّبِيِّيْنَ
imitated the Prophets. So, may Allah gather us with you and
akawaiga Manabii. Basi, Mwenyezi Mungu atukusanye pamoja nawe na
فَجَمَعَ اللهُ بَيْنَنَا وَ بَيْنَكَ
وَ بَيْنَ رَسُوْلِهِ وَ اَوْلِيَآئِهِ
with His Messenger and intimate servants in the abodes of
pamoja na Mtume Wake na waja wake wa karibu katika majumba ya
فِيْ مَنَازِلِ الْمُخْبِتِيْنَ
the modest ones. Surely, He is the most merciful of all those
wenye kiasi. Hakika Yeye ndiye Mwenye kurehemu kuliko wote
فَاِنَهُ اَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ.
who show mercy.
wanaoonyesha huruma.
اَللَهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu mrehemu Muhammad na Aali zake
وَ لَا تَدَعْ لِن فِيْ هَذَا الْمَكَانِ الْمُكَرَّمِ...
of Muhammad, and, as I am in this noble place... This supplicatory prayer, which is said at the holy shrine of al'Abbas ('a), will be mentioned later on at the end of the Ziyarah form of al'Abbas.
ya Muhammad, na kama nilivyo katika sehemu hii tukufu... Sala hii ya dua, ambayo inasemwa kwenye kaburi tukufu la al'Abbas ('a), itatajwa baadaye mwishoni mwa umbo la Ziyarah la al'Abbas.
