Virtues, description, and recitation method of SIXTH ZIYARAH as recorded in Shia traditions.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللهِ

Safwan added,

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صِفْوَةَ اللهِ

Peace be upon you, O Allah's Messenger. Peace be upon you,

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا آَمِيْنَ اللهِ

O Allah's select. Peace be upon you, O Allah's trustee. Peace

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى مَنِ اضطَفَاهُ اللهُ

وَ اخْتَصَهُ وَ اخْتَارَهُ مِنْ بَرِيَّتِهِ

be upon him whom Allah chose, selected, and preferred from

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَلِيْلَ اللهِ

amongst His creatures. Peace be upon you, O Allah's friend

مَا دَجَي اللَّيْلُ وَ غَسَقَ

whenever night darkens and becomes dusk and whenever

وَ اَضَآءَ النَّهَارُ وَ اَشْرَقَ

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ مَا صَمَتَ صَامِتٌ

daylight shines and gleams. Peace be upon you whenever

وَ نَطَقَ نَاطِقٌ وَ ذَرَّ شَارِقٌ

one keeps silent, whenever one utters something, and

وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

whenever a new day begins. So also be Allah's mercy and

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى مَوْلَانَا اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

blessings upon you. Peace be upon our master: the

عَلِيِّ بْنِ اَبِيْ طَالِبِ

Commander of the Faithful, 'Ali the son of Abu-Talib, the

صَاحِبِ السَّوَابِق وَ الْمَنَاقِبِ وَ النَّجْدَةِ

owner of unprecedented virtues, merits, and relief, the

وَ مُبِيْدِ الْكَتَائِبِ

terminator of the phalanxes of the infidels, the all-

الشَّدِيْدِ الْبَأْسِ

courageous, the all-powerful, the deep-rooted, who will serve

الْعَظِيْمِ الْمِرَاسِ

الْمَكِيْنِ الْأَسَاسِ

سَاقِي الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ بِالْكَأْسِ

the believers with water in a cup from the Pond of the

مِنْ حَوْضِ الرَّسُوْلِ الْمَكِيْنِ الْاَمِيْنِ.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى صَاحِبِ النُّهُى وَ الْفَضْلِ

Messenger-the honorable, the honest. Peace be upon the

وَ الطّوَائِل وَ الْمَكْرُمَاتِ وَ النَوَائِلِ

owner of perspicacity, favors, bestowals, honors, and

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى فَارِسِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

incentives. Peace be upon the knight of the believers, the lion

وَ لَيْثِ الْمُوَحِّدِيْنَ

وَ قَاتِلِ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ

of the monotheists, the slayer of the polytheists, and the

وَ وَصِيِّ رَسُوْلِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

successor of the Messenger of the Lord of the words. May

وَ رَخْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

Allah's mercy and blessings be upon him, too. Peace be upon

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى مَنْ اَيَّدَهُ اللهُ بِجَبْرَئِيْلَ

him whom Allah supported with (Archangel) Gabriel, backed

وَ اَعَانَهُ بِمِنْكَائِيْلَ

with (Archangel) Michael, whom Allah has bestowed a close

وَ اَزْلَفَهُ فِي الدَارَيْنِ

degree in both this abode and the abode to come, and whom

وَ حَبَاهُ بِكُلّ مَا تَقِرُّ بِهِ الْعَيْنُ

Allah has granted all things that act as delight for an eye.

وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ

May Allah send blessings upon him upon his Household the

وَ عَلَى الهِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ

وَ عَلْى اَوْلَادِهِ الْمُنْتَجَبِيْنَ

immaculate, upon his descendants the choicest ones, and

وَ عَلَى الْاَئِمَّةِ الرَّاشِدِيْنَ

upon the rightdirecting Imams, who enjoined the right,

الَّذِيْنَ اَمَرُوا بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ

وَ نَهَوْا عَنِ المُنْكَرِ

وَ فَرَضُوْا عَلَيْنَا الصَّلَوَاتِ

forbade the wrong, explained to us the duty of prayers,

وَ امَرُوْا بِايْتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ

ordered us to give alms, made clear for us the observance of

وَ عَرَّفُوْنَا صِيَامَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ

fasting during the month of Ramadan, and taught us the true

وَ قِرَآءَةَ الْقُرْاْنِ

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَآ اَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

recitation of the Qur'an. Peace be upon you, O Commander of

وَ يَغْسُوْبَ الدِّيْنِ

وَ قَائِدَ الْغُرِّ الْمُحَجَّلِيْنَ.

the Faithful, chief of the religion, and leader of the white-

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَابَ اللهِ

forehead, marked believers. Peace be upon you, O door to

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَيْنَ اللهِ النَّاظِرَةَ

Allah. Peace be upon you, O sighting Eye of Allah, extending

وَ يَدَهُ الْبَاسِطَةَ

وَ أَذُنَهُ الْوَاعِيَةَ

Hand of Him, listening Ear of Him, Allah's conclusive

وَ حِكْمَتَهُ الْبَالِغَةَ

وَ نِعْمَتَهُ السَّابِغَةَ

وَ نِقْمَتَهُ الدَّامِغَةَ

argument, His flowing boon, and His forceful punishment.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى قَسِيْمِ الْجَنَّةِ وَ النَّارِ

Peace be upon the decider between people of Paradise and

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى نِعْمَةِ اللهِ عَلَى الْاَبْرَارِ

people of Hellfire. Peace be upon Allah's benefaction for the

وَ نِقْمَتِهِ عَلَى الْفُجَارِ

righteous ones and Allah's wrath on the wicked ones. Peace

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى سَيِّدِ الْمُتَقِيْنَ الْاَخْيَارِ

be upon the leader of the pious good-doers. Peace be upon

ٱَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى اَخِيْ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

the brother of Allah's Messenger, the cousin of him, the

وَ ابْنِ عَمِّهِ وَ زَوْجِ ابْنَتِهِ

husband of his daughter, and the one created from the same

وَ الْمَخْلُوْقِ مِنْ طِيْنَتِهِ

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الْاضْلِ الْقَدِيْمِ وَ الْفَرْعِ الْكَرِيْمِ

clay of him. Peace be upon the eternal origin and the noble

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الثَّمَرِ الْجَنِيِّ

branch. Peace be upon the prolific fruit. Peace be upon Abu'l-

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى اَبِي الْحَسَنِ عَلِيَّ

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى شَجَرَةٍ طُوْبُى وَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُثتَهُى

Hasan, 'Ali. Peace be upon the Tree of Tuba (bliss) and the

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى اَدَمَ صَفْوَةِ اللهِ

lote-tree of the utmost boundary. Peace be upon Adam the

وَ نُوحِ نَبِيِّ اللهِ

choice of Allah, upon Noah the Prophet of Allah, upon

وَ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ خَلِيْلِ اللهِ

Abraham the friend of Allah, upon Moses the spoken by

وَ مُؤْسى كَلِيْمِ اللهِ

وَ عِيسى رُوْحِ اللهِ

Allah, upon Jesus the Spirit of Allah, upon Muhammad the

وَ مُحَمَّدٍ حَبِيْبِ اللهِ

most beloved by Allah, and upon the Prophets, the veracious

وَ مَنْ بَيْنَهُمْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَ الصِّدِّيْقِيْنَ

وَ الشَّهَدَاءِ وَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ

ones, the martyrs, and the upright ones who came among

وَ حَسُنَ أُوْلِئِكَ رَفِيْقًا

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى نُوْرِ الْاَنْوَارِ

them. How excellent is the company of these! Peace be upon

وَ سَلِيْلِ الْاَظهَارِ

the light of lights, the descendant of the pure ones, and the

وَ عَنَاصِرِ الاَخْيَارِ.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى وَالِدِ الْاَئْمَّةِ الْاَبْرَارِ

originally righteous ones. Peace be upon the father of the

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى حَبْلِ اللهِ الْمَتِيْنِ

virtuous Imams. Peace be upon the firm cord of Allah and

وَ جَنْبِهِ الْمَكِيْنِ

وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

the strong side of Him. May Allah's mercy and blessings be

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى آَمِيْنِ اللهِ فِيْ آَرْضِهِ

upon him, too. Peace be upon Allah's trustee on His land,

وَ خَلِيْفَتِهِ وَ الْحَاكِمِ بِامْرِهِ

وَ الْقَيِّمِ بِدِيْنِهِ

Allah's viceroy and the judge with His laws, the custodian

وَ النَّاطِقِ بِحِكْمَتِهِ

over His religion, the spokesman of His wisdom, the actor

وَ العَامِلِ بِكِتَابِهِ

آَخِ الرَّسُوْلِ

upon His Book, the brother of the Messenger, the husband of

وَ زَوْجِ البَتُوْلِ

وَ سَيْفِ اللهِ الْمَسْلُوْلِ

the Chaste Lady, and the unsheathed sword of Allah. Peace

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى صَاحِبِ الدَّلَالَاتِ

be upon the owner of the indications, the magnificent signs,

وَ الْأيَاتِ الْبَاهِرَاتِ

وَ الْمُعْجِزَاتِ الْقَاهِرَاتِ [الزَّاهِرَاتِ]

and the overcoming miracles, the redeemer from perdition,

وَ الْمُنْجِيْ مِنَ الْهَلَكَاتِ

الَّذِيْ ذَكَرَهُ اللهُ فِي مُحْكَمِ الْأَيَاتِ

and whom Allah has mentioned in the decisive verses,

فَقَالَ تَعَالَى وَ إِنَّهُ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِيٌّ حَكِيْمٌ

saying, "And surely, in the original of the Book with Us, it is

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى اسْمِ اللهِ الرَّضِيِّ

written that 'Ali is wise." Peace be upon Allah's pleased

وَ وَجْهِهِ الْمُضِيْءِ

وَ جَنْبِهِ العَلِيِّ

Name, His Brilliant Face, and His most elevated side. May

وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ.

Allah's mercy and blessings be upon him, too. Peace be upon

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى حُجَجِ اللهِ وَ أَوْصِيَآئِهِ

وَ خَاصَّةِ اللهِ وَ اَضفِيَآئِهِ

وَ خَالِصَتِهِ وَ أُمَنَآئِهِ

Allah's Arguments, successors, prominent people, and

وَ رَخمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

choices, selects, and trustees. May Allah's mercy and

قَصَدْتُكَ يَا مَؤْلَايَ

blessings be upon him, too. I have come to you, O master, 0

يَا آَمِيْنَ اللهِ وَ حُجَتَهُ

زَآئِرًا عَارِفًا بِحَقِّكَ

Allah's trustee and argument, visiting (your tomb),

مُوَالِيَّا لِاوْلِيَائِكَ

acknowledging your right, acceding to your adherents,

مُعَادِيًا لِاَعْدَآَئِكَ

incurring the hostility of your enemies, and seeking Allah's

مُتَقَرِّبًا إِلَى اللهِ بِزِيَارَتِكَ

nearness through my visit to you. So, (please) intercede for

فَاشْفَعْ لِيْ عِنْدَ اللهِ رَبَّيْ وَ رَبِّكَ

me before Allah- your and my Lord- so that He may save

فِيْ خَلَاصِ رَقَبَتِيْ مِنَ النَّارِ

me from Hellfire and respond to my requests of this world

وَ قَضَاءِ حَوَائِجِي حَوَائِجِ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْأَخِرَةِ

and the Next World.

سَلَامُ اللّهِ وَ سَلَامُ مَلَائِكَتِهِ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ

Salutations of Allah and salutations of His Archangels, and

وَ الْمُسَلَّمِيْنَ [الْمُسْلِمِينَ] لَكَ بِقُلُوْبِهِمْ

يَا اَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

those who heartily yield to you, O Commander of the Faithful,

وَ النَّاطِقِيْنَ بِفَضْلِكَ

and those who speak of your virtue and those who bear

وَ الشَّاهِدِيْنَ عَلَى آَنَّكَ صَادِقٌ آَمِيْنُ صِدَّيْقٌ

witness that you are surely honest, faithful, and veracious;

عَلَيْكَ وَ رَحِمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

salutations as well as Allah's mercy and blessings of all

اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ طُهرٌ طَاهِرٌ مُطَهَرْ

those be upon you. I bear witness that you are verily pure,

مِنْ طُهْرٍ طَاهِرٍ مُطَهَّرٍ

immaculate, and purified and you are the descendant of the

أَشهَدُ لَكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللهِ وَ وَلِيَّ رَسُوْلِهِ

pure, immaculate, and purified ones. I bear witness for you, 0

بِالْبَلَاغِ وَ الْاَدَآءِ

Intimate servant of Allah and loyal to Allah's Messenger, that you did convey and carry out (your mission). I also bear

وَ اَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ جَنْبُ اللهِ وَ بَابُهُ

witness that you are the duty that Allah has imposed (upon

وَ أَنَّكَ حَبِيْبُ اللهِ

us) and the door to Him, you are the beloved of Allah and the

وَ وَجْهُهُ الَّذِيْ يُؤْثِى مِنْهُ

direction from which Allah is reached, you are the path to

وَ أَنَّكَ سَبِيْلُ اللهِ

Allah, and you are the servant of Allah and the brother of His

وَ أَنَّكَ عَبْدُ اللهِ

Messenger-may Allah's blessings be upon him and his

آَتَيْتُكَ مُتَقَرِّبًا إِلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ بِزِيَارَتِكَ

Household. l have come to you seeking nearness to Allah, to

رَاغِبًا اِلَيْكَ فِي الشَّفَاعَةِ،

Whom belong all might and majesty, through my visit to you,

أَبْتَغِي بِشَفَاعَتِكَ خَلَاصَ رَقَبَتِيْ مِنَ النَّارِ

seeking your intercession for me, through which I hope for

مُتَعَوِّذًا بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ

saving of myself from Hellfire, seeking your protecting of

هَارِبًا مِنْ ذُنُوْبِيَ الَتِي اخْتَطَبْتُهَا عَلَى ظَهِرِيْ

myself from the Fire, escaping my sins with which I have

فزِعًا اِليْكَ رَجَاءَ رَحْمَةٍ رَبِّيْ

burdened my back, and having recourse to you in the hope

أَتَيْتُكَ اَسْتَشفِعُ بِكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ

for my Lord's mercy. O my master, I have come to you

وَ اَتَقَرَّبُ بِكَ إِلَى اللهِ

seeking your intercession for me and l seek nearness to

لِيَقْضِيَ بِكَ حَوَائِجِيْ

Allah through you so that He may grant me all of my

فَاشْفَعْ لِي يَا آَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ إِلَى اللهِ

requests. So, O Commander of the Faithful, (please)

فَإِنِّيْ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَ مَوْلَاكَ وَ زَائِرُكَ

intercede for me before Allah, for I am the servant of Allah,

وَ لَكَ عِنْدَ اللهِ الْمَقَامُ الْمَخْمُوْدُ

and l am your associate and visitor, and you enjoy with Allah

وَ الْجَاهُ الْعَظِيْمُ

a praiseworthy standing, as well as a great esteem, a high

وَ الشَّأْنُ الْكَبِيْرُ

وَ الشَّفَاعَةُ الْمَقْبُوْلَةُ

superiority, and an acceptable right of intercession. O Allah,

اَللّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ ال مُحَمَّدٍ

(please do) send blessings upon Muhammad and the

وَ صَلِّ عَلَى آَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

Household of Muhammad, and send blessings upon the

عَبْدِكَ الْمُرْتَضى

Commander of the Faithful— your well-pleased servant, your

وَ آَمِيْنِكَ الْأَوْفِى

most faithful trustee, your firmest handle, your highest hand,

وَ عُرْوَتِكَ الْوُثْقَى

وَ يَدِكَ الْعُلْيَا

وَ جَنْبِكَ الْاَغْلَى

your uppermost side, your most excellent word, your claim

وَ كَلِمَتِكَ الْحُسْتُى

وَ حُجَتِكَ عَلَى الْوَرْى

وَ صِدَّيْقِكَ الْاَكْبَرِ

وَ سَيِّدِ الْاوْصِيَاءِ

on the creatures, your prime all-veracious, the master of the

وَ رُكْنِ الْاَوْلِيَاءِ

وَ عِمَادِ الْاَصفِيَاءِ

Prophets' successors, the pillar of the saints, the support of

اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

the elite ones, the commander of the faithful, the leader of

وَ يَغْسُوْبٍ الدِّيْنِ

وَ قُدْوَةِ الصَّالِحِيْنَ

وَ اِمَامِ الْمُخْلِصِيْنَ،

the religion, the example of the righteous ones, the chief of

الْمَغْصُوْمِ مِنَ الْخَلَلِ

the choice ones, the protected against defects, the precluded

الْمُهَذَّبِ مِنَ الزَّلَلِ

الْمُطَهَّرِ مِنَ العَيْبِ

الْمُنَزَّهِ مِنَ الرَّيْبِ

against flaws, the purified from fault, the saved from doubt,

آَخِيْ نَبِيِّكَ

the brother of Your Prophet, the successor of Your

وَ وَصِيِّ رَسُوْلِكَ

Messenger, the one who sacrificed himself for Your Prophet

الْبَآئِتِ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ

[when he took his place on his bed], the one who gave up his

وَ الْمُوَاسِيْ لَهُ بِنَفْيِيهِ

وَ كَاشِفِ الْكَرْبِ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ

soul for Your Prophet, the one who removed agonies from

الَّذِيْ جَعَلْتَهُ سَيْفًا لِنُبُوَّتِهِ

Your Prophet, the one whom You chose to be the sword of

وَ أَيَةً لِرِسَالَتِهِ

Your Prophet's prophethood, the sign of his Messengership,

وَ شَاهِدًا عَلى أُمَّتِهِ

وَ دِلَالَةً عَلَى حَجَتِهِ [لِحْجَتِهِ]

the witness over his people, the indication of his evidences,

وَ حَامِلًا لِرَايَتِهِ

the bearer of his pennon, the shield against his heart, the

وَ وِقَايَةً لِمُهْجَتِهِ

وَ هَادِيًا لأُمَّتِهِ

وَ يَدًا لِبَأْهِ

guide of his people, the powerful hand of his might, the

وَ تَاجًا لِرَأْسِهِ

وَ بَابًا لِسِرِّهِ

وَ مِفْتَاحًا لِظَفَرِهِ

crown of his head, the door to his secrets, and the key to his

حَثّى هَزَمَ جُيُوْشَ الشَّرْكِ بِاِذْنِكَ

victory, until he defeated the armies of polytheism by Your

وَ آَبَادَ عَسَاكِرَ الْكُفْرِ بِآَمْرِكَ

permission, annihilated the forces of infidelity by Your order,

وَ بَدَلَ نَفْسَهُ فِيْ مَرْضَاةِ رَسُوْلِكَ

devoted himself to the pleasure of Your Messenger, and

وَ جَعَلَهَا وَقْفًا عَلَى طَاعَتِهِ

dedicated it to the obedience to him. So, O Allah, (please do)

فَصَلَّ اللَّهُمَ عَلَيْهِ صَلْوةً دَائِمَةً بَاقِيَةً.

send upon him withendless, nonstop blessings.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللهِ

Peace be upon you, O intimate servant of Allah, the shining

وَ الشَّهَابَ الثَّاقِبَ

وَ النُّوْرَ الْعَاقِبَ

brightness, and the endless light. O descendant of the pure

يَا سَلِيْلَ الْاَطَآئِبِ

يَا سِرَّ اللّهِ

إِنَّ بَيْنِيْ وَ بَيْنَ اللهِ تَعَالَى ذُنُوْبًا

ones! O secret of Allah! Verily, there are between Allah and

قَدْ اَثْقَلَتْ ظَهْرِيْ

me sins that have burdened my back and nothing can ease

وَ لَا يَأْتِيْ عَلَيْهَا اِلَّا رِضَاهُ

them except His pleasure; so, (I beg you) in the Name of Him

فَبِحَقَ مَنِا تُتَمَنَكَ عَلَى سِرَّهِ

وَ اسْتَرْعَاكَ اَمْرَ خَلَقِهِ

Who has entrusted you with His secret and assigned you to

كُنْ لِيْ إِلَى اللهِ شَفِيْعًا

manage the affairs of His creatures to (please) be the

وَ مِنَ النَّارِ مُجِيْرًا

interceder for me before Allah, to be my savoir from the Fire,

وَ عَلَى الدَّهْرِ ظَهِيْرًا

and to be my supporter against the vicissitudes of my time,

فَإِنَّيْ عَبْدُ اللَهِ وَ وَلِيُّكَ وَ زَآئِرُكَ

for I am the servant of Allah and I am your loyalist and visitor.

صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْكَ

May Allah send blessings upon you.

ٱَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَآ اَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

Peace be upon you, O Commander of the Faithful! Peace of

عَلَيْكَ مِنَّيْ سَلَامُ اللهِ أَبَدًا

Allah be upon you forever as long as | am alive and as long

مَا بَقِيْتُ وَ بَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهَارُ.

as days and nights come after each other.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا آَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ

Peace be upon you, O Abu-'Abdullah. Peace be upon you, O

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ

son of Allah's Messenger. I have come to both of you visiting

أَتَيْثُكُمَا زَآئِرًا وَ مُتَوَسَّلًا

and begging you to be mediators between me and Allah, the

إِلَى اللهِ تَعَالَى رَبَّيْ وَ رَبَّكُمَا

All-exalted, your and my Lord, and I am turning my face to

وَ مُتَوَجِّهَا اِلَى اللهِ بِكُمَا

Allah in your names, and seeking your intercession for me

وَ مُسْتَشفِعًا بِكُمَا إِلَى اللهِ فِيْ حَاجَتِيْ هَذِهِ.

before Allah to grant me this request of mine, which is...

إِنَّهُ قَرِيْبٌ مُجِيْبٌ

He is verily All-nigh, All-responding.

يَآ اَللهُ يَآَ اَللهُ يَآ اَلله

يَا مُجِيْبَ دَعْوَةِ الْمُضْطَرِّيْنَ

O Allah! O Allah! O Allah! O He who gives answer to the cries

وَ يَا كَاشِفَ كَرْبِ الْمَكْرُوْبِيْنَ

of the persecuted! O He who pulls out the grief-stricken from

وَ اضرِفِنِيْ بِقَضَاءِ حَاجَتِيْ

agony and anguish...

وَ كِفَايَةٍ مَا اَهَمَّنِيْ هَمُّهُ

...and make me leave having my requests granted and having

مِنْ امْرِ دُنْيَايَ وَ اخِرَتِيْ

all my agonies relieved, including those of this world and

يَآ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ.

those of the world to come. O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَآ اَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Peace be upon you, O Commander of the Faithful! And peace

وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَى آَبِيْ عَبْدِ اللّهِ الْحُسَيْنِ

be upon Abu-'Abdullah al-Husayn, as long as l am alive and

مَا بَقِيْتُ وَ بَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهَارُ

as long as day and night endure. May Allah not make this

لَا جَعَلَهُ اللهُ أَخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنَّيْ لِزِيَارَتِكُمَا

visit of mine to be the last of my visit to both of you! And may

وَلَا فَرَّقَ اللَهُ بَيْنِيْ وَ بَيْنَكُمَا.

Allah never separate me from you!
