Virtues, description, and recitation method of SALAWAT UPON IMAM AL MAHDI (A) as recorded in Shia traditions.
Fadhila, maelezo, na njia ya usomaji wa SALAWAT JUU YA IMAM AL MAHDI (A) kama ilivyopokelewa katika mapokezi ya Shia.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اهْلِ بَيْتِهِ
Al-Istighathah bi'l-Hujjah. as quoted from the book of al-

وَ صَلِّ عَلَى وَلِيِّ الْحَسَنِ
Kalim al-Tayyib
Kalim al-Tayyib
وَ وَصِيِّهِ وَ وَارِثِهِ
O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and his
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) mrehemu Muhammad na wake
القَائِمِ بِاَمْرِكَ
Household and send blessings upon al-Hasan's vicegerent,
Kaya na tuma baraka kwa makamu wa al-Hasan.
وَ الْغَائِبِ فِي خَلْقِكَ
successor, and inheritor, the establisher of Your decrees, the
mrithi, na mrithi, mwenye kusimamisha hukumu zako
وَ الْمُنْتَظِرِ لإِذْنِكَ
absent among Your creatures, and the awaiting for Your
kutokuwepo miongoni mwa viumbe Wako, na yanayokungojea
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَيْهِ
permission. O Allah, (please) bless him, make imminent his
ruhusa. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) mbariki, mfanyie wepesi
وَ أَنْجِزْ وَعْدَهُ
remoteness, fulfill Your promise to him, keep Your pledge to
mbali, timiza ahadi Yako kwake, timiza ahadi Yako kwake
وَاكْشِفْ عَنْ بَأسِهِ حِجَابَ الْغَيْبَةِ
him, reveal the screen of occultation against his power,
yeye, funua skrini ya uchawi dhidi ya nguvu zake,
وَ اَظْهِرْ بِظُهُوْرِهِ صَحَائِفَ الْمِخنَةِ
manifest the pages of ordeal through his advent, bring the
kudhihirisha kurasa za mateso kwa ujio wake, kuleta
وَ قَدِّمْ اَمَامَهُ الرُّعْبَ
وَ ثَبَّثْ بِهِ الْقَلْبَ
horror before him, make firm the heart through him, wage the
utisho mbele zake, thibitisheni moyo kwa yeye, mlipe
وَ اَقِمْ بِهِ الْحَرْبَ
war through him, aid him with marked troops from the
vita kupitia kwake, kumsaidia na askari alama kutoka
وَ اَيِّذْهُ بِجْنْدٍ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ مُسَوِّمِيْنَ
وَ سَلَّظْهُ عَلْى اَعْدَآءِ دِيْنِكَ اجْمَعِيْنَ
heavens, give him full dominance over all the enemies of
mbinguni, mpe mamlaka kamili juu ya maadui wote wa
وَ الْهِمْهُ آَنْ لَا يَدَعَ مِنْهُمْ رُكْنًا اِلَّا هَدَّهُ
Your religion, and inspire him not to leave any corner of them
Dini yako, na umtie wahyi asiondoke kwenye kona yoyote kati yao
وَ لَا هَامَا اِلَّا قَدَّهُ
but that he demolishes it, any head but that he splits it, any
lakini kwamba anakibomoa, kichwa chochote isipokuwa kwamba anakipasua, chochote
وَ لَا كَيْدًا اِلَّا رَدَّهُ
trick but that he frustrates it, any sinful one but that he
hila bali aivunje, mwenye dhambi ila yeye
وَ لَا فَاسِقًا اِلَّا حَدَّهُ
وَ لَا فِرْعَوْنَ اِلَّا آَهْلَكَهُ
exposes him to punishment, any tyrant but that he
inamuweka kwenye adhabu, dhalimu yeyote isipokuwa yeye
وَ لَا سِثْرًا اِلَّا هَتَكَهُ
وَ لَا عَلَمَا اِلَّا نَكَسَهْ
annihilates him, any screen but that he exposes it, any
humuangamiza, skrini yoyote isipokuwa anaifichua, yoyote
وَ لَا سُلْطَانًا اِلَّا كَسَبَهُ
pennon but that he lowers it, any authority but that he seizes
pennon lakini kwamba anaishusha, mamlaka yoyote isipokuwa anayoyakamata
وَ لَا رُمْحًا اِلَّا قَصَفَهُ
it, any lance but that he smashes it, any spear but that he
ni, mkuki wowote isipokuwa anaupiga, mkuki wowote isipokuwa yeye
وَ لَا مِظْرَدًا اِلَّا خَرَقَهُ
وَ لَا جُنْدًا اِلَّا فَرَّقَهُ
وَ لَا مِنْبَرًا اِلَّا آَحْرَقَهُ
shatters it, any troops but that he takes them apart, any
huivunja, jeshi lolote ila kwamba anawatenganisha, yoyote
وَ لَا سَيْفًا اِلَّا كَسَرَهُ
pulpit but that he burns it, any sword but that he breaks it,
Mimbari lakini aichome, upanga wowote ila kwa kuuvunja.
وَ لَا صَنَمَا اِلَّا رَضَّهُ
any idol but that he bruises it, any blood but that he sheds it,
sanamu yoyote ila aipondaye, damu yoyote isipo kuwa ataimwaga.
وَ لَا دَمَا اِلَّا اَرَاقَهُ
any persecution but that he annihilates it, any fortress but
mateso yoyote isipokuwa kwamba anaiangamiza, ngome yoyote lakini
وَ لَا جَوْرًا اِلَّا آَبَادَهُ
وَ لَا حِضنًا اِلَّا هَدَمَهُ
وَ لَا بَابًا اِلَّا رَدَمَهُ
that he destroys it, any door but that he fills it up, any castle
kwamba anaiharibu, mlango wowote ila aijaze, ngome yoyote
وَ لَا قَضْرًا اِلَّا خَرَّبَهُ [آَخْرَبَهُ]
وَ لَا مَسْكَنَا اِلَّا فَتَّشَهُ
but that he destroys it, any house but that he scans it, any
lakini kwamba anaiharibu, nyumba yoyote isipokuwa kwamba anaichambua, yoyote
وَ لَا سَهْلًا اِلَّا اَوْطَاَهُ
وَ لَا جَبَلًا اِلَّا صَعَدَهُ
plain but that he treads on it, any mountain but that he
dhaahiri bali anaukanyaga mlima wowote isipo kuwa yeye
وَ لَا كَنْزَّا اِلَّا آَخْرَجَهُ
climbs it, and any treasure but that he extracts it; in the name
huipanda, na hazina yoyote isipokuwa anaitoa; kwa jina
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَآ آَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ.
of Your mercy, O most merciful of all those who show mercy!
wa rehema zako, Ewe mwenye kurehemu kuliko wote wanaorehemu!
اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ
Allah is the Most Great. Allah is the Most Great. Allah is the
Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mkubwa. Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mkubwa. Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye
لَا اِلَهَ اِلَّا اللَهُ وَ اللهُ اَكْبَرُ...
Most Great. There is no god save Allah...
Kubwa Zaidi. Hapana mungu ila Allah...
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الْحَقُّ الْجَدِيْدِ
Peace be upon the fresh truth and the knowledgeable whose
Amani iwe juu ya ukweli mpya na wenye ujuzi ambao
اَللَّهُمَّ عَظُمَ الْبَلاءُ
Knowledge never expires..…
Maarifa hayaisha muda wake....
وَ بَرِحَ الْخَفَاءُ
O my God, ordeal has become immeasurable. The hidden
Ee Mungu wangu, majaribu yamekuwa yasiyopimika. Iliyofichwa
وَ انْكَشَفَ الفِطَاءُ
has become exposed. The covered has been disclosed. The
imekuwa wazi. Kinachofunikwa kimefichuliwa. The
وَ ضَاقَتِ الْاَرْضُ
earth has become narrow (despite its vastness). The sky has
ardhi imekuwa nyembamba (pamoja na ukubwa wake). Anga ina
وَ مَنَعَتِ السَّمَاءُ
been prevented (from giving its blessings). And to You, O my
kuzuiwa (kutoa baraka zake). Na Kwako, Ewe wangu
وَ إِلَيْكَ يَا رَبِّ الْمُشتَكَى
Lord, is the complaint. Upon You is the reliance in hardships
Bwana, ni malalamiko. Juu yako ni kuegemea katika magumu
وَ عَلَيْكَ الْمُعَوَّلَ فِي الشَّدَّةِ وَ الرَّخَآءِ
and leisure. O Allah, (please do) send blessings upon
na burudani. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) tuma baraka juu yake
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَألِهِ
Muhammad and his Household the obedience to whom has
Muhammad na Aali zake utiifu kwake
الَذِيْنَ فَرَضْتَ عَلَيْنَا طَاعَتَهُمْ
been made obligatory upon us by You, and whose (special)
umelazimishwa na Wewe, na ambaye (maalum)
فَعَرَّفْتَنَا بِذْلِكَ مَنْزِلَتَهُمْ
rank has been thus made known for us by You, (please do)
Kwa hivyo umetujulisha daraja kwa ajili yako, (tafadhali fanya)
فَرِّجْ عَنَّا بِحَقَّهِمْ
relieve our ordeals in the name of them with a relief that is as
tuondolee matatizo yetu kwa jina lao kwa unafuu ambao ni kama
كَلَمْحِ الْبَصَرِ اَوْ هُوَ اَقْرَبُ
immediate as the twinkling of an eye or even closer. 0
mara moja kama kupepesa kwa jicho au hata karibu zaidi. 0
يَا مُحَمَّدُ يَا عَلِيٌّ
يَا عَلِيٌّ يَا مُحَمَّدُ
Muhammad! O 'Ali! O 'Ali! O Muhammad! (Please) support
Muhammad! Ewe Ali! Ewe Ali! Ewe Muhammad! (Tafadhali) msaada
انْصُرَانِيْ فَاِنَّكُمَا نَاصِرَايَ
وَ اكْفِيَانِيْ فَاِنَّكُمَا كَافِيَانٍ
me, for you both do support me, and save me, for you both
mimi, kwa kuwa nyinyi wawili mnaniunga mkono, na kuniokoa, kwa ajili yenu nyote wawili
يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ
do save. O my master! O Patron of the Age! (l beseech you
weka akiba. Ewe bwana wangu! Ewe Mlinzi wa zama! (nakusihi
اَلْغَوْثَ الْغَوْثَ الْغَوْثَ
for) relief! (I beseech you for) relief! (I beseech you for) relief! (Please do) come to my aid! (Please do) come to my aid!
kwa) unafuu! (Nakuomba) unafuu! (Nakuomba) unafuu! (Tafadhali fanya) kuja kunisaidia! (Tafadhali fanya) kuja kunisaidia!
اَذْرِكْنِي اَذْرِكُنِي اَذْرِكْنِيْ.
(Please do) come to my aid!
(Tafadhali fanya) kuja kunisaidia!
سَلَامُ اللهِ الْكَامِلُ الثَّآمُّ الشَّامِلُ
Peace of Allah-perfect, complete, comprehensive, and thorough... This form of ziyarah can be found in the first section of this book (pp. 458, Vol. 1) under the title: Seeking Aid From Imam alMahdi (Allstighathah bi'lHujjah.) as quoted from the book of alkalim alTayyib.
