Virtues, description, and recitation method of METHOD OF VISITING IMAM AL REZA as recorded in Shia traditions.
Fadhila, maelezo, na njia ya usomaji wa NJIA YA KUMTEMBELEA IMAM AL REZA kama ilivyopokelewa katika mapokezi ya Shia.
اَللَهُمَّ طَهَّرْنِيْ وَ طَهِّرْ لِي قَلْبِيْ
O Allah, (please) cleanse me, cleanse my heart, expand my
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) nitakase, utakase moyo wangu, upanue moyo wangu
وَ اشرَخ لِيْ صَدْرِيْ
breast, and let Your praise and eulogy flow out from my
kifua, na sifa Zako na sifa zitoke kutoka kwangu
وَ اَجْرٍ عَلَى لِسَانِيْ مِدْحَتَكَ وَ الثَنَاءَ عَلَيْكَ
tongue; since indeed there is neither might nor power except
ulimi; kwani hakika hakuna uweza wala uwezo ila
فَإِنَّهُ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِكَ
with You. O Allah, (please) establish it as a means of
na Wewe. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) ithibitishe kuwa ni njia ya
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ لِي طَهُوْرًا وَ شِفَاءً
cleansing and healing for me. In the name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. In
utakaso na uponyaji kwa ajili yangu. Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi wa rehema, Mwenye kurehemu. Katika
بِسْمِ اللهِ وَ بِاللهِ
the Name of Allah (I begin), in Allah (I trust), to Allah and
Jina la Mwenyezi Mungu (ninaanza), kwa Mwenyezi Mungu (nalitegemea), kwa Mwenyezi Mungu na
وَ اِلَى اللهِ وَ اِلَى ابْنِ رَسُوْل اللَهِ
towards the son of Allah's Messenger (l trun my face). Allah
kuelekea kwa mwana wa Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu (I trun my face). Mwenyezi Mungu
حَسبِيَ اللهُ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ
is Sufficient unto me and on Allah do I rely. O Allah, I have set

اَللّهُمَّ اِلَيْكَ تَوَجَّهْتُ وَ اِلَيْكَ قَصَدْتُ

اَللَّهُمَّ اِلَيْكَ وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيْ
O Allah, to You am I turning my face and with You do l keep
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, Kwako mimi ninauelekeza uso wangu, na Kwako nashikamana
وَ عَلَيْكَ خَلَّفْتُ اَهْلِيْ وَ مَالِي وَ مَا خَوَّلْتَنِيْ
my family members, my property, and everything with which
familia yangu, mali yangu, na kila kitu ambacho nacho
وَ بِكَ وَثِقْتُ فَلَا تُخَيِّبْنِيْ
You have allowed me to behave. I have trusted in You; so, do
Umeniruhusu niwe na tabia. Nimekutumaini Wewe; hivyo, kufanya
يَا مَنْ لَا يُخَيِّبُ مَنْ آَرَادَهُ
not disappoint me. O He Who saves those who trust in Him
usinikatishe tamaa. Ewe Mwenye kuwaokoa wale wanaomtegemea
وَ لَا يُضَيِّعُ مَنْ حَفِظَهُ
from disappointment and He Who does not give up those whom He safeguards. O Allah, (please do) send blessings
kutokana na tamaa na ambaye hawaachi wale anaowahifadhi. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) tuma baraka
صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِ مُحَمَدٍ
upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and
juu ya Muhammad na Aali zake Muhammad na
وَ اخفَظْنِي بِحِفظِكَ
guard me under Your custody, since nothing that You guard
nilinde chini ya ulinzi Wako, kwa kuwa hakuna chochote unachokilinda
فَاِنَّهُ لَا يَضِيْعُ مَنْ حَفِظْتَ
may be ruined.

اَللَّهُمَّ طَهَرْنِي وَ طَهَّرْ لِي قَلْبِيْ
O Allah, (please) cleanse me, cleanse my heart for me,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, nitakase, nisafishe moyo wangu kwa ajili yangu.
وَ اشْرَحْ لِيْ صَدْرِيْ
expand my breast, and let Your praise, eulogy, and love flow
panua kifua changu, na acha sifa Zako, sifa, na upendo utiririke
وَآَجْرٍ عَلَى لِسَانِي مِدْحَتَكَ وَ مَحَبَّتَكَ وَ الثَّنَاءَ عَلَيْكَ
فَاِنَّهُ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِكَ
out from my tongue; since indeed there is no power except
kutoka kwa ulimi wangu; kwani hakika hakuna nguvu ila
وَ قَدْ عَلِمْتُ اَنَّ قِوَامَ دِيْنِيْ
with You. I know for sure that the basis of my faith is to

التَّسْلِيْمُ لِاَمْرِكَ وَ الاِتَّبَاعُ لِسُنَّةٍ نَبِيِّكَ
submit to Your decree, to keep to the traditions of Your

وَ الشَّهَادَةُ عَلَى جَمِيْعِ خَلْقِكَ
Prophet, and to bear witness to all Your creatures. O Allah,
Mtume, na kuwashuhudia viumbe Wako wote. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu,
اَللّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ لِيْ شِفَاءً وَ نُوْرًا
(please) make it curative and light for me. You verily have
(tafadhali) ifanye iwe tiba na nyepesi kwangu. Hakika umewahi
إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ.
power over all things.

لَا اِلَهَ اِلَّا اللَهُ
Allah is the Most Great. There is no god save Allah. All glory
Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mkubwa. Hapana mungu ila Mwenyezi Mungu. Utukufu wote
اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ
be to Allah. All praise be to Allah
iwe ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Sifa njema zote ni za Mwenyezi Mungu
بِسْمِ اللهِ وَ بِاللهِ
In the Name of Allah (l begin), in Allah (I trust), and the
Kwa Jina la Mwenyezi Mungu (I anza), kwa Mwenyezi Mungu (namtegemea), na
وَ عَلَى مِلّةٍ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ
صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ ألِهِ
course of Allah's Messenger (I follow), peace be upon him
mwendo wa Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu (namfuata), amani iwe juu yake
اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لَا اِلهَ اِلَّا اللهُ
and his Household. l bear witness that there is no god save
na Kaya yake. Nashuhudia kwamba hakuna mungu ila
وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ
Allah, One and Only God and having no partner. And I bear
Mwenyezi Mungu, Mmoja wa pekee na asiye na mshirika. Na mimi kubeba
وَ اَشْهَدُ اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَ رَسُوْلُهُ
witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger and
shuhudia kwamba Muhammad ni mja na Mtume wake na
وَ آَنَّ عَلِيًّا وَلِيُّ اللهِ
'Ali is Allah's most intimate servant.
Ali ni mja wa karibu zaidi wa Mwenyezi Mungu.
اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لَا اِلْهَ اِلّا اللهُ
I bear witness that there is no god save Allah, One and Only
Nashuhudia ya kwamba hapana mungu ila Mwenyezi Mungu Mmoja Pekee
وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ
God and having no partner. And Ibear witness that
Mungu na kutokuwa na mshirika. Na shuhudia hilo
وَ اَشْهَدُ اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَ رَسُوْلُهُ
Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, the chief of the
Muhammad ni mja wake na Mtume wake, mkuu wa watu
وَ أَنَّهُ سَيِّدُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ وَ الْأخِرِيْنَ
past and the coming generations, and the chief of the

وَ أَنَّهُ سَيِّدُ الْاَنْبِيَاءِ وَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ
Prophets and Messengers. O Allah, (please) bless
Manabii na Mitume. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) bariki
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ
عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُوْلِكَ وَ نَبِيِّكَ
Muhammad, Your servant, messenger, prophet, and the chief
Muhammad, mja wako, Mtume wako, Nabii wako na mkuu
وَ سَيِّدِ خَلْقِكَ اَجْمَعِيْنَ
of all Your creatures, with such blessings that none can
ya viumbe vyako vyote, kwa baraka ambazo hakuna awezaye
صًلْوةً لَا يَقْوْى عَلَى إِحْصَائِهَا غَيْرُكَ
اَللّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى امِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

عَلِيِّ بْنِ اَبِي طَالِبِ
of the Faithful 'Ali the son of Abi-Talib, Your servant and the

عَبْدِكَ وَ اَخِيْ رَسُوْلِكَ
brother of Your Messenger, whom You have selected on the

الَّذِيْ انْتَجَبْتَهُ بِعِلْمِكَ
basis of Your knowledge and thus made lead (to the truth)

وَ جَعَلْتَهُ هَادِيًا لِمَنْ شِئْتَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ
Whomever You willed amongst Your creatures and made the

وَ الدَّلِيْلَ عَلَى مَنْ بَعَثُتَهُ بِرِسَالَاتِكَ
guide to those whom You sent with Your messages, the

وَ دَيَّانَ الدِّيْنِ بِعَدْلِكَ
establisher of the true religion owing to Your justice, the
mwenye kusimamisha Dini ya haki kwa uadilifu wako
وَ فَضلَ قَضَآئِكَ بَيْنَ خَلْقِكَ
decisive judge among Your creatures, and the prevalent over
muamuzi mkali miongoni mwa viumbe Wako, na walio shinda
وَ الْمُهَيْمِنَ عَلْى ذَلِكَ كُلَّهِ
وَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْهِ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ.
all that. Peace and Allah's mercy and blessings be upon him.
yote hayo. Amani na rehema za Mwenyezi Mungu na baraka ziwe juu yake.
اَللّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى فَاطِمَةً بِئْتِ نَبِيِّكَ
O Allah, (please) send blessings on Fatimah the daughter of
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) mrehemu Fatimah bintiye
وَ زَوْجَةٍ وَلِيِّكَ
Your Prophet, the wife of Your friend, the mother of the two
Nabii wako, mke wa rafiki yako, mama wa hao wawili
وَ أُمَّ السَّبْطَيْنِ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ
grandsons al-Hasan and al-Husayn the two chiefs of the
wajukuu al-Hasan na al-Husayn machifu wawili
سَيِّدَيْ شَبَابٍ اهْلِ الجَنَّةِ
youth of Paradise; (she is) the genuinely pure, the
vijana wa Peponi; (yeye ni) msafi wa kweli
الطُهْرَةِ الطَاهِرَةِ الْمُطَهَرَةِ
immaculate, the purified, the pious, the perfect, the pleased,
safi, waliotakaswa, wachamungu, wakamilifu, walioridhiwa,
التَّقِيَّةِ النَّقِيَّةِ الرَّضِيَّةِ الزَّكِيَّةِ
سَيِّدَةٍ نِسَآَءِ آَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ اَجْمَعِيْنَ
the pristine, and the doyenne of all the women of Paradise,
aliye safi, na doyenne ya wanawake wote wa Peponi.
صَلَوةً لَا يَقْوْى عَلَى اِحْصَائِهَا غَيْرُكَ
(bless her) with such blessings that none can count except
(Mbariki) kwa baraka ambazo hakuna awezaye kuzihesabu isipokuwa
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ
You. O Allah, (please) send blessings upon al-Hasan and al-
Wewe. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu (tafadhali) tuma baraka juu ya Hasan na al-
سِبْطَيْ نَبِيِّكَ
Husayn, the two grandsons of Your Prophet, the two chiefs
Husein, wajukuu wawili wa Mtume Wako, machifu wawili
وَ سَيَّدَيْ شَبَابِ اهْلِ الجَنَّةِ
of the youth of Paradise, the two who establish authority
ya vijana wa Peponi, wawili wenye mamlaka
الْقَائِمَيْنِ فِيْ خَلْقِكَ
among Your creatures, who guide to those whom You sent
miongoni mwa viumbe Wako wanaowaongoza wale uliowatuma
وَ الدَّلِيْلَيْنِ عَلَى مَنْ بَعَثْتَ بِرِسَالَاتِكَ
with Your messages, who manage the religious affairs on the
pamoja na jumbe Zako, wanaosimamia mambo ya dini
وَ دَيَّانَي الدِّيْنِ بِعَدْلِكَ
basis of Your justice, and who judge on the basis of Your
msingi wa haki Yako, na wanaohukumu kwa misingi Yako
وَ فَضْلَيْ قَضَائِكَ بَيْنَ خَلْقِكَ.
decrees among Your creatures. O Allah, (please) send

اَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى عَلِيِّ بُنِ الْحُسَيْنِ
blessings upon 'Ali the son of al-Husayn, Your servant who
baraka zimshukie Ali mwana wa al-Husein, mja wako ambaye
عَبْدِكَ الْقَائِمِ فِيْ خَلْقِكَ
undertakes Your mission among Your creatures, who guides
fanya utume wako miongoni mwa viumbe Wako wanaoongoza
وَ الدَّلِيْلِ عَلَى مَنْ بَعَثْتَ بِرِسَالَاتِكَ
to those whom You sent with Your messages, who manages
kwa wale uliowatuma kwa ujumbe wako, wanaosimamia
وَ دَيَّانِ الدِّيْنِ بِعَدْلِكَ
the religious affairs on the basis of Your justice, who judges
mambo ya kidini kwa misingi ya uadilifu Wako, wewe unayehukumu
وَ فَضْلٍ قَضَآئِكَ بَيْنَ خَلْقِكَ
according to Your decrees among Your creatures, and who is
kwa amri Zako miongoni mwa viumbe Wako, na nani yuko
سَيِّدِ الْعَابِدِيْنَ
the prime of all worshippers. O Allah, (please) send blessings
mkuu wa waabudu wote. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) tuma baraka
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيَّ
on Muhammad the son of 'Ali, Your servant and Your
juu ya Muhammad mwana wa Ali, mja Wako na Wako
عَبْدِكَ وَ خَلِيفَتِكَ فِيْ اَرضِكَ
representative in Your lands, who split asunder the
mwakilishi katika nchi zako, waliogawanyika
بَاقِرٍ عِلْمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ
knowledge of the Prophets. O Allah, (please) send blessings
elimu ya Manabii. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) tuma baraka
اَللَّهُمّ صَلَّ عَلَى جَعْفَرِ بْن مُحَمَدِ الصَّادِقِ
عَبْدِكَ وَ وَلِيِّ دِيْنِكَ
upon Ja'far the son of Muhammad, Your servant, the
juu ya Ja'far mwana wa Muhammad, mja wako
وَ حُجَّتِكَ عَلَى خَلْقِكَ اجْمَعِيْنَ
authority of Your religion, Your argument against all of Your
mamlaka ya dini yako, hoja yako dhidi ya Wako wote
الضَّادِقِ البَآرِّ
creatures, the veracious, and the dutiful. O Allah, (please)
viumbe, wachamngu, na wachamngu. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu (tafadhali)
اَللّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُؤْسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ
عَبْدِكَ الصَّالِح
send blessings upon Musa the son of Ja'far, Your righteous

وَ لِسَانِكَ فِيْ خَلْقِكَ
النَّاطِقِ بِحْكْمِكَ
servant, Your spokesman among Your creatures, who speaks

وَ الْحُجَّةِ عَلَى بَرِيَّتِكَ
with Your Judgement, and who is the argument against Your
kwa Hukumu Yako, na ni nani mwenye hoja dhidi Yako
اَللهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى عَلِيَّ بْنِ مُؤْسَى
created beings. O Allah, (please) send blessings upon 'Ali the
viumbe. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) mrehemu Ali
عَبْدِكَ وَ وَلِيِّ دِيْنِكَ
son of Musa, the cordial, the well-pleased, the servant of You,
mwana wa Musa, rafiki, mja wako uliyependezwa,
الْقَائِمِ بِعَدْلِكَ
the authority of Your religion, who undertakes the mission
mamlaka ya Dini Yako, anaye tekeleza utume
وَ الدَّاعِيّ اِلى دِيْنِكَ وَ دِيْنِ أبَآئِهِ الصَادِقِيْنَ
with Your justice, who calls to the religion of You and of his
kwa uadilifu wako ambaye analingania kwenye Dini Yako na ya kwake
صَلَوةً لَا يَقْوْى عَلَى اِحْصَائِهَا غَيْرُكَ
veracious fathers; (bless him) with such blessings that none
baba waaminifu; (Mbariki) kwa baraka ambazo hakuna
اَللّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ بْن عَلِيِّ
can count except You. O Allah, (please) send blessings upon
wanaweza kuhesabu isipokuwa Wewe. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) tuma baraka juu yake
الْقَائِمِ بِآَمْرِكَ
Muhammad the son of 'Ali, Your servant, Your authority, who
Muhammad mwana wa Ali, mja Wako, mamlaka Yako, ambaye
وَ الدَّاعِيّ إِلَى سَبِيلِكَ
undertakes the mission by Your command and calls to Your

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى عَلِيَّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ
path. O Allah, (please) send blessing upon 'Ali the son of

عَبْدِكَ وَ وَلِيِّ دِيْنِكَ.
Muhammad, Your servant and the authority of Your religion.
Muhammad, mja Wako na mamlaka ya dini yako.
اَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيَّ
O Allah, (please) send blessings upon alii as an the son of 'Ali
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) mrehemu Alii kama mtoto wa Ali
"اِلْعَامِل بِامْرِكَ
who carries out Your commands, who undertakes the
anayezitii amri zako, na kuzitenda
الْقَائِمِ فِيْ خَلْقِكَ
mission among Your creatures, Your argument who acts on
utume miongoni mwa viumbe Wako, hoja Yako ni nani anayetenda
وَ حُجَتِكَ الْمُؤَدِّيْ عَنْ نَبِيِّكَ
behalf of Your Prophet, Your witness on Your creatures, the
kwa ajili ya Nabii Wako, Shahidi Wako juu ya viumbe Wako
وَ شَاهِدِكَ عَلَى خَلْقِكَ
exclusively endued with Your honor, and the caller to the
kwa utukufu wako tu, na mwitaji
الْمَخْصُوْص بِكَرَامَتِكَ
الدَّاعِيّ اِلى طَاعَتِكَ وَ طَاعَةٍ رَسُوْلِكَ
obedience to You and to Your Messenger. Your blessings be
utiifu Kwako na kwa Mtume Wako. Baraka zako ziwe
صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ
upon them all. O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Your
juu yao wote. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) tuma baraka juu Yako
اَللّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلْى حَجَّتِكَ وَ وَلِيِّك
الْقَائِمِ فِيْ خَلْقِكَ
argument and authority who undertakes the mission among
hoja na mamlaka wanaofanya utume miongoni mwa
صَلُوةً تَآمَّةً نَامِيَةً بَاقِيَةً
تُعَجَّلُ بِهَا فَرَجَهُ
Your creatures with such blessing that is perfect, ever-
Viumbe vyako vilivyo na baraka iliyo kamili,
وَ تَنْصُرُهُ بِهَا
increasing, and everlasting due to which You may hasten his
inayoongezeka, na ya kudumu, ili upate kumfanyia hima
وَ تَجْعَلُنا مَعَهُ فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْأَخِرَةِ
Relief, grant him victory, and include us with him in this world
Msaada, mpe ushindi, na utujumuishe pamoja naye katika ulimwengu huu
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّيّ اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَيْكَ بِحْبِّهِمْ
and the Hereafter. O Allah, l am seeking nearness to You
na Akhera. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, mimi natafuta ukaribu na Wewe
وَ أُوَالِي وَلِيَّهُمْ وَ أُعَادِيْ عَدُوَّهُمْ
through bearing love for them, and l am loyal to their loyalists and enemy of their enemies. So (please) provide me in their
kwa kuwa na upendo kwao, na mimi ni mwaminifu kwa waaminifu wao na adui wa adui zao. Basi (tafadhali) niruzuku katika wao
فَازْزُقْنِيْ بِهِمْ خَيْرَ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْأَخِرَةِ
names the goodness of this world and the Hereafter and

وَ اضرِفَ عَنَّيَ بِهمْ شَرَّ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْأَخِرَةِ
fend off from me the evils of this world and the Hereafter as

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللهِ

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَةَ اللهِ
Allah's argument. Peace be upon you, O Allah's light in the
Hoja ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Amani iwe juu yako ewe nuru ya Mwenyezi Mungu katika
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُوْرَ اللهِ فِيْ ظُلُمَاتِ الْأَرْضِ
darkness of the earth. Peace be upon you, O pillar of the
giza la dunia. Amani iwe juu yako, ewe nguzo ya Mwenyezi Mungu
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَمُوْدَ الدِّيْنِ
religion. Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Adam the choice
dini. Amani iwe juu yako ewe mrithi wa Adam chaguo
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ اَدَمَ صَفْوَةِ اللهِ
of Allah. Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Noah the prophet
ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Amani iwe juu yako ewe mrithi wa Nuhu Nabii
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ نُوْحِ نَبِيِّ اللهِ
of Allah. Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Abraham the
ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Amani iwe juu yako ewe mrithi wa Ibrahimu
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ خَلِيْلِ اللهِ

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ اِسْمَاعِيْلَ ذَبِيْحِ اللهِ
Ishmael the slain for the sake of Allah. Peace be upon you, 0
Ismaili aliyeuawa kwa ajili ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Amani iwe juu yenu, 0
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُؤْسى كَلِيْمِ اللهِ
inheritor of Moses the spoken by Allah. Peace be upon you, 0
mrithi wa Musa aliyenenwa na Mwenyezi Mungu. Amani iwe juu yenu, 0
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِيْسْى رُوْحِ اللهِ
inheritor of Jesus the spirit of Allah. Peace be upon you, O
mrithi wa Isa, roho ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Amani iwe juu yako, O
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُحَمَّدٍ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ
inheritor of Muhammad the messenger of Allah. Peace be
mrithi wa Muhammad Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu. Amani iwe
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ آَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
وَ وَصِيِّ رَسُوْلِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
the authority of Allah and the successor of the Messenger of
mamlaka ya Mwenyezi Mungu na wasii wa Mtume wa
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَآءِ
the Lord of the worlds. Peace be upon you, O inheritor of
Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote. Amani iwe juu yako ewe mrithi wa
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ
Fatimah the luminous lady. Peace be upon you, O inheritor of
Bibi Fatimah. Amani iwe juu yako ewe mrithi wa
سَيِّدَيْ شَبَابِ اهْلِ الجَنَّةِ
al-Hasan and al-Husayn the two chiefs of the youth of
al-Hasan na al-Husayn wakuu wawili wa vijana wa
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عَلِيَّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ زَيْنِ الْعَابِدِيْنَ
Paradise. Peace be upon you, O inheritor of 'Ali the son of al-
Paradiso. Amani iwe juu yako ewe mrithi wa Ali mwana wa
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ
Husayn the adornment of the worshippers. Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Muhammad the son of 'Ali the splitter of
Husein pambo la waja. Amani iwe juu yako, ewe mrithi wa Muhammad mwana wa Ali mgawanyiko
بَاقِرٍ عِلْمِ الْأَوّلِيْنَ وَ الْأَخِرِيْنَ
the knowledge of the past and the last generations. Peace be
maarifa ya vizazi vilivyopita na vya mwisho. Amani iwe
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ
upon you, O inheritor of Ja'far the son of Muhammad the

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُؤْسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ
veracious and dutiful. Peace be upon you, O inheritor of

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ آَيُّهَا الصِّدِّيْقُ الشَّهِيْدُ
Musa the son of Ja'far. Peace be upon you, O ever-truthful
Musa mwana wa Jaafar. Amani iwe juu yako ewe mkweli
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ آَيُّهَا الْوَصِيُ الْبَآرُّ التَّقِيُّ
and martyr. Peace be upon you, O dutiful and pious
na shahidi. Amani iwe juu yako ewe mchamungu na mchamungu
اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ قَدْ اَقَمْتَ الصَّلَاةَ
successor. I bear witness that you performed the prayers,
mrithi. Nashuhudia ya kwamba ulikuwa unaswali.
وَ اَمَرْتَ بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ
وَ نَهَيْتَ عَنِ المُنْكَرِ
defrayed the poor-rate (and alms), enjoined the right, forbade
walikiuka Zaka (na sadaka), wakaamrisha haki, wakakataza
وَ عَبَدْتَ اللهَ مُخْلِصًا حَتَّى آَنَاكَ الْيَقِيْنُ
the wrong, and serve Allah sincerely until death came upon
na muabuduni Mwenyezi Mungu kwa ikhlasi mpaka mauti yakawafikia
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَآ آَبَا الْحَسَنِ
you. Peace be upon you, O Abu'l-Hasan. Allah's mercy and
wewe. Amani iwe juu yako ewe Abu'l-Hasan. Rehema za Mwenyezi Mungu na
وَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ.
blessings be upon you.

اَللّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ صَمَدْتُ مِنْ اَرْضِيْ
O Allah, for Your sake alone have I set out from my homeland
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, kwa ajili yako peke yako nimetoka katika nchi yangu
وَ قَطَعْتُ الْبِلَادَ رَجَآءَ رَحْمَتِكَ
and covered many countries in the hope of winning Your
na kufunika nchi nyingi kwa matumaini ya kushinda yako
فَلَا تُخَيِّنْنِي وَ لَا تَرُدَّنِي بِغَيْرِ قَضَاءِ حَاجَتِيْ
mercy; so, (please) do not disappoint me and do not make me return without having my needs settled (by You), and
rehema; kwa hivyo, (tafadhali) usinikatishe tamaa na wala usinirudishe bila ya kutatuliwa haja zangu (na Wewe), na
وَ ازْحَمْ تَقَلِّبِي عَلَى قَبْرِ ابْنِ آخِنْ رَسُوْلِكَ
have mercy upon my turning over on the tomb of the son of
nihurumie nitakapogeuza kaburi la mwana wa
صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ الِهِ
Your Prophet' brother, Your blessings be upon him and his
Ndugu yake Mtume wako, baraka zako ziwe juu yake na zake
بِآَبِيّ أَنْتَ وَ أَمَّيْ يَا مَؤْلَايَ
Household. May my father and mother be ransoms for you, 0
Kaya. Baba yangu na mama yangu wawe fidia kwako, 0
اَتَيْثُكَ زَائِرًا وَافِدًا
my master. I have come to you visiting and getting to you,
bwana wangu. Nimekuja kwako nikikutembelea na kuja kwako,
عَآئِذًا مِمَّا جَنَيْتُ عَلَى نَفْسِيْ
seeking protection against all that which I have committed
nikitafuta ulinzi dhidi ya yote niliyoyatenda
وَ اخْتَطَبْتُ عَلَى ظَهْرِيْ
against myself and overburdened my back with. So, (please)
dhidi yangu na kulemewa na mgongo wangu. Kwa hivyo, (tafadhali)
فَكُنْ لِي شَافِعًا إِلَى اللَهِ
يَوْمَ فَقْرِيْ وَ فَاقَتِيْ
be my intercessor with Allah on the day of my poverty and
uwe muombezi wangu kwa Mwenyezi Mungu siku ya umasikini wangu na
فَلَكَ عِنْدَ اللَهِ مَقَامٌ مَحْمُوْدٌ
neediness, for you enjoy with Allah a praiseworthy position
haja, kwani mnastarehe kwa Mwenyezi Mungu nafasi yenye kusifiwa
وَ اَنْتَ عِنْدَهُ وَجِيْهُ.
and you are worthy of regard with Him.
na wewe unastahiki kuzingatiwa Kwake.
اَللَّهُمّ إِنَّي اَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَيْكَ بِحْبِّهِمْ وَ بِولَايَتِهِمْ
O Allah, l do seek nearness to You through bearing love for
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, mimi najitakia ukaribu Kwako kwa kuvumilia mapenzi
اَتَوَلِى أَخِرَهُمْ بِمَا تَوَلَّيْتُ بِهِ اَوَّلَهُمْ
them and being loyal to them; I am loyal to the last of them in the same way as l am loyal to the first and | repudiate any
wao na kuwa mwaminifu kwao; Mimi ni mwaminifu kwa wa mwisho wao kwa njia sawa na mimi ni mwaminifu kwa wa kwanza na | kukataa yoyote
وَ اَبْرَاُ مِنْ كُلِّ وَلِيْجَةٍ دُوْنَهُمْ
adherence to any one other than them. O Allah, pour curses
kuambatana na yeyote asiyekuwa wao. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, mimina laana
اَللّهُمَّ الْعَنِ الَّذِيْنَ بَدَّلُوْا نِعْمَتَكَ
on those who have altered Your bounty, suspected Your

وَ اتَّهَمُوْا نَبِيَّكَ
Prophet, denied Your signs, scoffed at Your Imam, and
Nabii, alikadhibisha Ishara zako, akamkejeli Imam wako, na
وَ جَحَدُوْا بِأيَاتِكَ
placed the burden of the people upon the shoulders of

وَ سَخِرُوْا بِاِمَامِكَ
Muhammad's Household. O Allah, l do seek nearness to You

وَ حَمَلُوا النَّاسَ عَلَى اَكْتَافِ أل مُحَمَّدٍ
through invoking curse on these peoples (i.e. the enemies of

اَللَّهُمّ إِنَّي اَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيْكَ بِاللَّعْنَةِ عَلَيْهِمْ

صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْكَ يَآ آَبَا الْحَسَنِ
Allah's blessings be upon you, O Abu'l-Hasan. Allah's
Baraka za Mwenyezi Mungu ziwe juu yako ewe Abu'l-Hasan. wa Mwenyezi Mungu
صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى رُوْحِكَ وَ بَدَنِكَ
blessings be upon your soul and body. You did act patiently
baraka ziwe juu ya nafsi na mwili wako. Ulitenda kwa subira
صَبَرْتَ وَ أَنْتَ الصَادِقُ الْمُصَدَّقُ
and you are veracious and believed. May Allah kill those who

قَتَلَ اللهُ مَنْ قَتَلَكَ بِالْاَيْدِيْ وَ الْاَلْسُنِ.
killed you with hands and tongues.

سَخِرُوْا بِاِمَامِكَ
...and scoffed at Your Imam...
...na kumdhihaki Imamu wako...
سَخِزْوْا بِايَّامِكَ
...and scoffed at Your Days...
...na kuzidhihaki siku zako...
اَللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْ قَتَلَةَ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
O Allah, pour curses on the slayers of the Commander of the
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, wamiminie laana wauwaji wa Amirul-Mungu
وَقَتَلَةَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ
Faithful, the slayers of al-Hasan and al-Husayn, peace be
Waaminifu, wauwaji wa al-Hasan na al-Husayn, amani iwe
وَ قَتَلَةَ آَهْلِ بَيْتٍ نَبِيِّكَ
upon them, and the slayers of the members of Your Prophet's
juu yao, na wauwaji wa watu wa Mtume Wako
اَللّهُمَّ الْعَنْ اَعْدَاءَ أَلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ قَتَلَتَهُمْ
Household. O Allah, curse the enemies and slayers of Muhammad's family members, add up chastisement to the
Kaya. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, walaani maadui na wauwaji wa watu wa familia ya Muhammad, ongeza adhabu juu yao
وَ زِدْهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ الْعَذَابِ
chastisement that You decide for them, add up humility to
adhabu unayo waamulia, ongeza unyenyekevu
وَ هَوَانًا فَوْقَ هَوَانٍ
the humility that You decide for them, add up disgrace to the
unyenyekevu unaowaamulia, huongeza fedheha
وَ ذُلَّا فَوْقَ ذُلِّ
disgrace that You decide for them, and add up ignominy to
fedheha uliyo waamulia, na unawaongezea fedheha
وَ خِزْيًا فَوْقَ خِزْي
the ignominy that You decide for them. O Allah, thrust them
fedheha ambayo Unawaamulia. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu wasukume
اَللَهُمَّ دُعَهُمْ إِلَى النَّارِ دَعَّا
into Hellfire with disdainful thrusting, cast them down in the
Motoni kwa msukumo wa dharau, watupeni humo
وَ اَرْكِسْهُمْ فِيْ آَلِيْمِ عَذَابِكَ رَكْسًا
painful torment of You with violent casting, and drive them
adhabu chungu kwako kwa kutupwa kwa nguvu, na uwafukuze
وَ اخشّرْهُم وَ اَثْبَاعَهُمْ اِلْى جَهَنَّمَ زُمَرًا.
and their followers to Hell in groups.
na wafuasi wao kwenda Motoni kwa makundi.
