وقد روى ذلك بسند صحيح عن داود الصرمي أنه قال للإمام علي الناجي (الهادي): زرت أباك وأهديت لك الأجر.

This has been reported, through a valid chain of authority, from Dawud al-Sarami who, once, said to Imam 'Ali al-Nagi (al-Hadi), "I have visited (the tomb of) your father and dedicated the reward to you.

قال الإمام (عليه السلام): «لك من الله الأجر والأجر العظيم، ولكم منا الشكر». وفي رواية أخرى أن الإمام علي الهادي (ع) وكل أحداً في السفر إلى قبر الإمام (ع) .

إذا أتيت قبر النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وقمت بما يجب عليك فيه، فصلى ركعتين، وقف عند رأس النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وقل هذه الكلمات:

If you come to the tomb of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his Household, and carry out what is obligatory upon you to do there, you may then offer a two-unit prayer, stop at the side of the Holy Prophet's head, and say the following words:

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَبِيِّ اللهِ مِنْ أَبِي وَ أُمَّن وَ زَوْجَتِيْ وَ وَلَدِيْ وَ حَآمَتِيْ وَ مِنْ جَمِيْعٍ

Peace be upon you, O Prophet of God, from my father, Aman, my wife, my children, my mother-in-law, and from all of you.

آَهْلِ بَلَدِيْ حُرِّهِمْ وَ عَبْدِهِمْ وَ أَبْيَضِهِمْ وَ اَسْوَدِهِمْ.

The people of my country, free and slave, white and black.

fasting on a day, goes on the ritual hajj or 'umrah, or visits the

tomb of the Holy Prophet or one of the Holy Imams, and then

وأهدى ثواب ذلك العمل إلى والديه أو أحدهما

أيها الإخوة المؤمنين، فهل يؤجر ذلك الإنسان على ذلك؟

فأجاب الإمام: سيبلغ ثواب ذلك العمل

اَللَّهُمّ مَا آَصَابَنِي مِنْ تَعَبِ آَوْ نَصَبِ آَوْ شَعَتٍ آَوْ لُغُوْبٍ فَأْجُرْ فُلَانَ بْنَ فُلَانٍ فِيْهِ وَ

Oh God, whatever fatigue, accusative, irritation, or idleness befalls me, reward so-and-so, the son of so-and-so, for it.

أجُزْنِي فِي قَضَآئِيْ عَنْهُ.

May I be rewarded in my judgment on his behalf.

وله عندما يسلم على الإمام الزائر أن يقول ما يلي

When he greets the visited Imam, he may say the following

ٱَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَؤْلَايَ عَنْ فَلَانِ بْنِ فَلَانِ أَتَيْثُكَ زَآئِرًا عَنْهُ فَاشَفَغِ لَهُ عِنْدَ رَبَّكَ.

Peace be upon you, O my companions, on the authority of so-and-so, son of so-and-so, I will come to you as a visitor on his behalf, so intercede for him with your Lord.

He may then pray Almighty Allah for whatever he wishes.

اَللَهُمَّ إِنَّ فُلَانَ بْنَ فَلَانِ اَوْفَدَنِيّ إِلَى مَوَالِيْهِ وَ مَوَالِيَّ لِاَزُوْرَ عَنْهُ رَجَآءً لِجَزِيْلِ

Oh God, so-and-so, the son of so-and-so, sent me to his friend and my friend, so that I may have great hope on his behalf.

الثَّوَابِ وَ فِرَارًا مِنْ سُوَّءِ الْحِسَابِ اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّهُ يَتَوَجَّهُ اِلَيْكَ بِاَوْلِيَائِهِ الدَّالَيْنَ عَلَيْكَ

Reward and escape from bad reckoning. Oh God, he turns to you with his guardians who guide you.

فِيْ غُفْرَانِكَ ذُنُوْبَهُ وَ حَطَّ سَيِّئَاتِهِ وَ يَتَوَسَّلُ اِلَيْكَ بِهِمْ عِنْدَ مَشْهَدِ اِمَامِهِ صَلَوَاتُ

In Your forgiveness of his sins and eradication of his bad deeds, he begs You for them at the sight of him in front of him, prayers

اللهِ عَلَيْهِمْ اَللَّهُمَّ فَتَقَبَلْ مِنْهُ وَ اقْبَلْ شَفَاعَةَ آَوْلِيَآئِهِ صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِمْ فِيْهِ اَللَّهُمَ

May God be upon them, O God, so accept him and accept the intercession of his friends, may God’s prayers be upon them, O God.

جَازِهِ عَلَى حُسْنِ نِيَتِهِ وَ صَحِيْحٍ عَقِيْدَتِهِ وَ صِحَّةِ مُوَالَاتِهِ اَحْسَنَ مَا جَازَيْتَ آَحَدًا

Reward him for his good intentions, the soundness of his belief, and the soundness of his friendships, the best you have ever rewarded anyone.

مِنْ عَبِيْدِكَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ اَدِمْ لَهُ مَا خَوَّلْتَهُ وَ اسْتَعْمِلْهُ صَالِحًا فِيْمَآ أتَيْتَهُ وَ لَا

of Your faithful servants, and administer to him what You have authorized him, and use him righteously in what You have given him, and do not

تَجْعَلْنِي أَخِرَ وَافِدٍ لَهُ يُوْفِدُهُ اللَّهُمَ آَعْتِقْ رَقَبَتَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ وَ

Make me his last delegate that he sends. Oh God, free his neck from the fire and

اَوْسِعُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ الْحَلَالِ الطَّيِّبِ وَ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْ رُفَقَاءِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ

Enrich him with Your lawful and good provision and make him one of the companions of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad and

بَارِك لَهُ فِي وُلْدِهِ وَ مَالِهِ وَ آَهْلِهِ وَ مَا مَلَكَتْ يَمِيْنُهُ، اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ ألِ

Bless him in his children, his wealth, his family, and what his right hand possesses. O God, bless Muhammad and his family.

مُحَمَّدٍ وَ حُلْ بَيْنَهُ وَ بَيْنَ مَعَاصِيْكَ حَثِّى لَا يَعْصِيَكَ وَ اَعِنْهُ عَلَى طَاعَتِكَ وَ طَاعَةٍ

Muhammad, and come between him and your disobedience, so that he does not disobey you, and help him to obey you and yours.

اَوْلِيَآئِكَ حَتَّى لَا تَفْقِدَهُ حَيْثُ امَرْتَهُ وَ لَا تَرَاهُ حَيْثُ نَهَيْتَهُ اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ

Your guardians so that you will not lose him where you commanded him and do not see him where you forbade him. O God, bless Muhammad and

الِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَ ازحَمْهُ وَ اغْفُ عَنْهُ وَ عَنْ جَمِيْعِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ اَللَّهُمَ

O Muhammad and forgive him and forgive him and forgive him and all the believing men and women, O God.

The evil of the turbulent, and from the darkness and loneliness of the grave, and from situations of shame in this world, and

الْأخِرَةِ اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اجْعَلْ جَائِزَتَهُ فِيْ مَوْقِفِي هَذَا

The Hereafter, O God, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad and make his reward in this situation of mine.

غُفْرَانَكَ وَ ثَخْفَتَهُ فِي مَقَامِيْ هَذَا عِنْدَ اِمَامِي صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ آَنْ تُقِيْلَ عَثْرَتَهُ وَ

Your forgiveness and its strength in this position of mine in front of me, may God bless him and grant him peace, may his stumble be removed and

تَقْبَلَ مَعْذِرَتَهُ وَ تَتَجَاوَزَ عَنْ خَطِيْئَتِهِ وَ تَجْعَلَ التَّقْوْي زَادَهُ وَ مَا عِنْدَكَ خَيْرًا لَهُ فِيْ

Accept his apology, pardon his sin, and make piety his increase, and whatever you have is better for him in

مَعَادِهِ وَ تَخشُرَهُ فِيْ زُمْرَةِ مُحَمَدٍ وَ ألِ مُحَمَّدِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اُلِهِ وَ تَغْفِرَ لَهُ وَ

His appointed time, and you will honor him in the company of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, and forgive him and

لِوَالِدَيْهِ فَاِنَّكَ خَيْرُ مَرْغُوْبٍ إِلَيْهِ وَ اَكْرَمُ مَسْثُوْلٍ اِعْتَمَدَ الْعِبَادُ عَلَيْهِ اَللَّهُمَّ وَ لِكُلِّ

To his parents, for you are the best and most desirable to him and the most generous one on whom the servants depended. O God, and for all

مُؤْفِدٍ جَائِزَةٌ وَ لِكُلّ زَائِرٍ كَرَامَةٌ فَاجْعَلْ جَائِزَتَهُ فِي مَوْقِفِي هَذَا غُفْرَانَكَ وَ الْجَنَّةَ

There is a reward for a sender, and every visitor has a dignity, so make his reward in this situation of mine your forgiveness and Paradise.

لَهُ وَ لِجَمِيْعِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ اللَّهُمَّ وَ اَنَا عَبْدُكَ الْخَاطِئُ الْمُذْنِبُ الْمُقِرُّ بِذُنُوْبِهِ

For him and for all believing men and women. Oh God, I am Your sinful and guilty servant who acknowledges his sins.

فَاسآَلُكَ يَآ اَللهُ بِحَقَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اَلِ مُحَمَّدِ آَنْ لَا تَحْرِمَنِيْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الْاَجِرَ وَ الثَوَابَ

So I ask you, O God, by the right of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, not to deprive me of reward and reward after that.

مِنْ فَضْلٍ عَطَآئِكَ وَ كَرَمِ تَفَضّلِكَ

Out of the grace of your giving and the generosity of your favor

ويمكنك بعد ذلك أن ترفع يديك نحو السماء موجهاً

You may then raise your hands towards the sky, directing

يَا مَوْلَايَ يَآ اِمَامِي عَبْدُكَ فَلَانُ بَنُ فْلَانِ أَوْفَدَنِيْ زَائِرًا لِمَشْهَدِكَ يَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَى اللهِ عَزَّ

O my lord, my imam, your servant So-and-so, son of So-and-so, sent me as a visitor to your place to draw closer to God Almighty.

وَ جَلَّ بِذْلِكَ وَ اِلَى رَسُوْلِهِ وَ اِلَيْكَ يَرْجُوْ بِذْلِكَ فَكَاكَ رَقَبَتِهِ مِنَ النَّارِ مِنَ الْعُقُوْبَةِ

And glory be to Him for that, and to His Messenger and to you, he hopes, by that, to free his neck from the Fire from the punishment.

فَاغْفِزْ لَهُ وَ لِجَمِيْعِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَآ اللهُ يَآ اَللهُ يَآ اَللهُ يَآ اَللهُ يَآ اَللهُ يَآ اَللهُ

So forgive him and all the believing men and women, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God.

يَآ اَللهُ لَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا اللهُ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ لَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا اللَهُ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ آَسْالُكَ آَنْ تُصَلَّيَ

O God, there is no god but God, the Forbearing, the Generous. There is no god but God, the Most High, the Great. I ask you to pray

عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ تَسْتَجِيْبَ لِي فِيْهِ وَ فِي جَمِيْعِ إِحْوَانِي وَ اَخَوَاتِي وَ

upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and that you respond to me in it and to all my brothers and sisters and

وَلَدِيْ وَ اَهْلِيْ بِجُوْدِكَ وَ كَرَمِكَ يَاَ أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ.
