An-Nazi’at (النازعات)
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
﴿١﴾
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
﴿٢﴾
By those who violently pull out (the souls),
﴿٣﴾
And those who remove with ease,
﴿٤﴾
And those who glide as if swimming,
﴿٥﴾
And those who race each other,
﴿٦﴾
And those who arrange each matter,
﴿٧﴾
On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],
﴿٨﴾
There will follow it the subsequent [one].
﴿٩﴾
Hearts, that Day, will tremble,
Her eyes humbled [in devotion],
They will say, 'Are we indeed going to be returned to [our] former state in the pit?'
What! When we have become bones, scattered and decayed?
They say, 'That, then, would be a losing return.'
But it is only a single Shout,
And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth’s surface.
Has there reached you the story of Moses?
When his Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Tuwa,
Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.
And say, 'Would you be willing to purify yourself
And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'
And thus He showed him the Greatest Sign.
But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed.
Then he turned back, striving [against Moses].
And he gathered [his people] and called out
And said, 'I am your most exalted lord.'
So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression].
Indeed in that is a lesson for whoever fears [Allah],
Are you a more difficult creation, or is the heaven? He constructed it.
He raised its height and leveled it,
And He darkened its night and brought forth its morning,
And after that He spread the earth,
He brought forth from it its water and pasture,
And He set up the mountains,
As provision for you and your cattle,
Then when the Great Disaster comes,
On the Day when man will remember what he strove for,
And Hell will be exposed for those who see it,
But as for the one who transgressed,
But he preferred the life of this world,
Then indeed, Hell will be his refuge.
But as for one who feared the standing before his Lord and restrained the soul from [evil] desires,
Then Paradise will be his refuge.
They ask you about the Hour: 'When will it be established?'
In what are you [occupied with] in reminding about it?
Its end is with your Lord.
You are only a warner for those who fear it.
As if, when they see it, they will remain no longer than an evening or a morning.
