اَلْحَمْدُلله الَّذِي اَخْيَانِى بَعْدَ مَا اَمَاتَنِى وَ اِلَيْهِ النُّشْوْرُ

You may then sit and recite Ayah al-Kursi after which you

اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي رَدَّ عَلَىَّ رُوجِىْ لِاحْمَدَهُ وَاَعْبُدَهُ.

may return to the prostration position and repeat the

اَللَّهُمَّ آَعِنَّى عَلَى هَوْلِ الْمُطَلَعِ

وَ وَسِّع عَلَىَّ الْمَضْجَعَ

وَازْزُقْنِىْ خَيْرَمَا بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ.

All Praise be to Allah Who returned me to life after He had

سُتُّوْحَ قُدُّوْس

رَبُّ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ

caused me to die, and to Him will be the Resurrection. All

سَبَقَتْ رَحْمَثُكَ غَضَبَكَ

لَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ

عَمِلْتُ سُوْءًا وَظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِى فَاغْفِزْلِى

اِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ

فَتُبْ عَلَىَّ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ.

praise be to Allah Who gave me back my soul so that l will

اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّهُ لَا يُوَارِي مِنْكَ لَيْلٌ سَاجٍ

وَلَا سَمَاءُ ذَاتُ اَبْرَاج

وَلَا اَرْضٌ ذَاتُ مِهَادٍ

وَلَا ظُلُمَاتُ بَعْضُهَا فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ

وَ لَا بَخْرْ لُجَىُّ تُذْلِجُ بَيْنَ يَدَى الْمُدْلِجِ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

تُذْلِجُ الرَّحْمَةَ عَلَى مَنْ تَشَآءُ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

تَعْلَمُ خَائِنَةَ الاَعْيُنِ وَ مَا

تُخْفِى الصُّدُوْرُ

غَارَتِ النَّجْوْمُ

وَنامَتِ الْعُيُوْنُ

praise and worship Him.

وَ أَنْتَ الحَىُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ

لَا تَأْخُذُكَ سِنَةُ وَلَا نَوْمٌ

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

O Allah, help me pass the terror of the Resurrection Day,

وَ اِلْهِ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

expand my burial place, and grant me all the good of the post-

وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ.

death stage.

اِنَّ فِيْ خَلْقِ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ

Lo! In the creation of the heavens and the earth

وَاخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ

and in the difference of night and day

لَا يَاتٍ لِا وْلِى الْأَلْبَابِ

are tokens for men of understanding.

الَّذِيْنَ يَذْكُرُوْنَ اللهَ قِيَامًا وَ قُعُوْدًا وَ عَلَى جُنُوْبِهِمْ

Such as remember Allah, standing, sitting, and reclining,

وَ يَتَفَكِّرُوْنَ فِىْ خَلْقِ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ

and consider the creation of the heavens and the earth:

رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَذَا بَاطِلَا

Our Lord! You created not this in vain.

سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Glory be to You! Preserve us from the doom of Fire.

رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ مَنْ تُدْخِلِ النَّارَ فَقَدْ اَخْزَيْتَهَ

Our Lord! Whom You cause to enter the Fire: him indeed You have confounded.

وَ مَا لِلظَالِمِيْنَ مِنْ اَنْصَارٍ

For evildoers, there will be no helpers.

رَبَّنَا اِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيًّا يُنَادِىْ لِلْاِيْمَانِ

Our Lord! Lo! We have heard a crier calling unto Faith:

آَنْ أمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ فَامَنَّا

Believe in your Lord! So we believed.

رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِزْ لَنَا ذُ نُوْبَنَا

Our Lord! Therefore forgive us our sins,

وَ كَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا

and remit from us our evil deeds,

وَ تَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الْاَبْرَارِ

and make us die the death of the righteous.

رَبَّنَا وَ أَتِنَا مَا وَعَدْتَنَا عَلَى رُسُلِكَ

Our Lord! And give us that which You have promised to us by Your messengers.

وَلَا تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

Confound us not upon the Day of Resurrection.

اِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَادَ.

Lo! You break not the tryst.

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ.

All glory be to Allah;

اَللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا

O Allah, (please) forgive us, have mercy on us,

وَ عَافِنَا وَاعْفُ عَنَّا

grant us good health, and pardon us

فِى الدُّنْيَا وَ الْأخِرَةِ

in this world as well as the world to come.

اِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلَّشَىء قَدِيْرٌ.

You verily have power over all things.

رَبِّ اغْفِزْ وَازْحَمْ

O my Lord, forgive (me), have mercy (on me),

وَتَجَاوَزْ عَمَّا تَعْلَمُ

and overlook that which You know

اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْاَعَزُّ الْاجَلَّ الْاَكْرَمُ.

for You are the All-glorious, the All-magnificent, and the All-

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمْنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

اَللّهُمَّ اِنَّكَ

خَلَقْتَنِن سَوِيَّا

generous.

وَ رَبَّيْتَنِىْ مَكْفِيًّا

O Allah! Tonight, the seekers of favors, restless and eager,

وَ رَزَقْتَنِيْ مَكْفِيَّا

اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّى وَ جَدْتُ فِيْمَا

اَنْزَلْتَ مِنْ كِتَابِكَ

وَ يَشَّرْتَ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ

present themselves to You,

آَنْ قُلْتَ

يَاعِبَادِىَ الَّذِيْنَ اسْرَفْوا عَلَى اَنْفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْتَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللهِ

اِنَّ اللهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ جَمِيْعً

وَ قَدْ تَقَدَّمَ مِنِّى مَا قَدْ عَلِمْتَ وَمَآ أَنْتَ آَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّىْ

the determined aspirers have You in mind,

فَيَا سَوْ آَتَامِمَّا آَحْصَاهُ عَلَىَّ كِتَابُكَ

فَلَوْلَا الْمَوَاقِفُ الَتِى أُؤَمَّلُ مِنْ عَفْوِكَ الَّذِيْ شَمِلَ كُلّ شَءِ لَاَ لْقَيْتُ بِيَدِىْ

وَلَوْ آَنَّ آَحَدًا اسْتَطَاعَ الْهَرَبَ مِنْ رَبِّهِ لَكُنْتُ آَنَا آَحَقَّ بِالْهَرَبِ مِنْكَ

وَ أَنْتَ لَا تَخْفِى عَلَيْكَ خَافِيَةٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَ لَا فِي السَّمَاءِ اِلَّا آَتَيْتَ بِهَا

وَ كَفَى بِكَ جَازِيًا

وَ كَفَى بِكَ حَسِيْبًا

اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّكَ

طَالِبِى اِنْ آَنَا هَرَبْتُ

وَ مُدْرِكِى اِنْ آَنَا فَرَزْتُ

فَهَا اَنَاذَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ

خَاضِعٌ ذَلِيْلٌ رَاغِمٌ

and those who make requests look long and attentively at

اِنْ تُعَذِّبْنِى فَإِنِّى لِذلِكَ آَهْلّ وَ هُوَ يَا رَبّ مِثْكَ عَدْلْ

وَ اِنْ تَغْفُ عَنَّى فَقَدِيْمًا شَمَلَنِى عَفْوُكَ وَ الْبَسْتَنِى عَافِيَتَكَ

فَاسْئَلُكَ اَللَّهُمَّ

بِالْمَخْزُوْنِ مِنْ اَسْمَائِكَ

وَ بِمَا وَارَثْهُ الْحُجُبُ مِنْ بَهَآئِكَ

Your obligingness and kindness.

اِلَا رَجِمْتَ هَذِهِ النَّفْسَ الْجَزُوعَةَ وَ هَذِهِ الرَّمَةَ الْهُلُوعَةَ

You, at this night, give gifts, bounties beyond measure,

الَّتِن لَا تَسْتَطِيعُ حَرَّ شَمْسِكَ

فَكَيْفَ تَسْتَطِيْعُ حَرَّنَارِكَ

وَالَّتِى لَا تَسْتَطِيْعُ صَوْتَ رَغَدِكَ

free donations, and favors

فَكَيْفَ تَسْتَطِيْعُ صَوْتَ غَضَبِكَ

to those whom You will from among Your servants when

فَارْحَمْنِى اَللَهُمَّ

فَاِنِّى امْرُؤُ حَقِيْرٌ

they make a request,

وَ خَطَرِيْ يَسْيْرٌ

وَ لَيْسَ عَذَابِن مِمَّا يَزِيْدُ فِى مُلْكِكَ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ

وَ لَوْ اَنَّ عَذَابِي مِمَّا يَزِيْدُ فِي مُلَكِكَ

لَسَاَلَثُكَ الصَّبْرَ عَلَيْهِ

and You say no to those who do not try to get in advance (i.e.

وَ اَخْبَبْتُ آَنْ يَكُوْنَ ذَلِكَ لَكَ

وَلَكِنْ سُلْطَانُكَ اَللَّهُمَّ اَعْظَمُ

وَ مُلْكُكَ اَدْوَمُ مِنْ آَنْ

تَزِيْدَ فِيْهِ طَاعَةُ الْمُطِيْعِينَ

اَوْ تَنْقُصَ مِنْهُ مَعْصِيَةُ الْمُذْنِبِيْنَ

remain behind) for obtaining the bounties from You.

فَارْحَمْنِىْ

يَا ازْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

وَ تَجَاوَزْ عَنِّىْ

يَا ذَالْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ

1, a modest needy bondman,

وَ تُبْ عَلَىَّ

am hopeful of Your obligingness and kindness.

اِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ.

Indeed, if You, O My Master,

اِلْهِي تَعَرَّضَ لَكَ فِي هَذَا اللّيْلِ الْمُتَعَرِّضُوْنَ

bestows a favor on any one, at this night,

وَ قَصَدَكَ الْقَاصِدُوْنَ

وَاَمَّلَ فَضْلَكَ وَ مَعْرُوْفَكَ الطَّالِبُوْنَ

from among Your

وَ لَكَ فِيْ هَذَا اللَّيْلِ نَفَحَاتُ وَ جَوَائِزُ

created beings, and multiply profits and gains for him out of

وَ عَطَايَا وَ مَوَاهِبُ

تَمُنُّ بِهَا عَلَى مَنْ تَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ

وَ تَمْنَعْهَا مَنْ لَمْ تَسْبِقْ لَهُ الْعِنَايَةُ مِنْكَ

وَ هَا اَنَا ذَا عُبَيْدُكَ الْفَقِيْرُ اِلَيْكَ

الْمُؤَمَّلُ فَضْلَكَ وَ مَعْرُوْفَكَ

Your love and affection,

فَاِنْ كُنْتَ يَا مَوْلَايَ

تَفَضَّلْتَ فِيْ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ

عَلَى آَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

وَ عُدْتَ عَلَيْهِ بِعَائِدَةٍ مِنْ عَطِفِكَ

please send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of

فَصَلَّ عَلْى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ ألِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Muhammad:

اِلطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ

the pure, the immaculate,

الْخَيِّرِيْنَ الْفَاضِلِيْنَ

the virtuous, and the righteous,

وَ جُذْ عَلَيَّ بِطَوْلِكَ وَ مَعْرُوُفِكَ

and then give me abundantly on account of Your liberality and obligingness,

يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

O Lord of the worlds!

وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ

May Allah send blessings to Muhammad, the seal of the Prophets,

وَ الِهِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ

and upon his Household, the immaculate,

وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيْمًا

and may He exalt them very much.

اِنَّ اللهَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ

Verily, Allah is worthy of all praise, full of all glory.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّيّ اَدْعُوْكَ كَمَآ اَمَزْتَ

O Allah, I am praying You as You ordered me to do;

فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَ

so, (please) respond to me as You promised.

اِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَادَ.

Verily, You never break Your promise.

اَللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِى فِيْمَنْ هَدَيْتَ

O Allah, (please) include me with those whom You have guided (to the right),

وَ عَافِنِنْ فِيْمَنْ عَافِيْتَ

include me with those whom You have granted good health,

وَ تَوَلَّنِى فِيْمَنْ تَوَلِّيْتَ

include me with those for whom You have cared,

وَ بَارِك لِىْ فِيْمَا اَعْطَيْتَ

bless things that You have conferred upon me,

وَقِنِى شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ

and save me from the evil of what You have decided,

فَاِنَّكَ تَقْضِىٰ وَلَا يُقْضى عَلَيْكَ

for You decree and no one decrees against Your decree.

سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّ الْبَيْتِ

All glory be to You, O Lord of the House.

اَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَ اَتُوْبُ اِلَيْكَ

l implore for Your forgiveness, I repent before You,

وَ أُوْمِنُ بِكَ وَاَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْكَ

1 have full faith in You, and I rely upon You totally.

وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِكَ يَا رَجِيْمُ-

There in neither power nor might save with You, O All- merciful.

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ رَبِّىْ وَ أَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ.

I implore Allah, my Lord, for forgiveness and I repent to Him.

هَذَا مَقامُ الْعَائِذِ بِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ.

This is the situation of one who prays Your protection against Hellfire.

اَلْعَفْوَ اَلْعَفْوَ.

Pardon, Pardon.

رَبّ اغفِزلِى وَازحَمْنِى وَ ثُبْ عَلىَّ

O my Lord, (please) forgive me, have mercy upon me, and accept my repentance,

اِنَّكَ آَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الْغَفُوْرُ الرَّحِيْمُ.

for You are surely the Oft-Returning, the All-forgiving, and the All-merciful.

هَذَا مَقَامُ مَنْ حَسَنَاتُهُ نِعْمَةُ مِثْكَ وَ شُكْرُهُ ضَعِيْفٌ وَ ذَنْبُهُ عَظِيْمٌ وَ لَيْسَ لِذلِكَ اِلَّا

This is the situation of one whose good deeds are Your graces, whose thanksgiving is little, and whose sin is great; and nothing can settle all that except Your lenience and mercy

رِفْقُكَ وَ رَحْمَثُكَ فَإِنَّكَ قُلْتَ فِي كِتَابِكَ الْمُنْزَلِ عَلَى نَبِيِّكَ الْمُرْسَلِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ

for You have said in Your Book that is revealed to Your sent Prophet, peace be upon him and his Household: "They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night;

وَ أَلِهِ كَانُوْا قَلِيْلًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُوْنَ وَبِالْاَسْحَارِهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُوْنَ طَالَ هُجُوْعِن وَ

and in the hour of early dawn, they were found praying for forgiveness." Nevertheless, too much has been my sleep by night and too little has been my praying. This is the last hour of night and here I am imploring You to forgive my sins

قَلَّ قِيَامِى وَ هَذَا السَّحَرُ وَ آَنَا اَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِذُنُوْبِى اِسْتِغْفَارَ مَنْ لَا يَجِدُ لِنَفْسِهِ ضَرَّا

the imploration of one who cannot make for himself harm, benefit,

وَلَا نَفْعًا وَلَا مَوْتَّا وَلَا حَيَاةً وَلَا نُشُوْرًا.

death, life, or resurrection.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِرَبَّ الصَّبَاحِ

All praise be to the Lord of morning.

الْحَمْدُ لِفَالِقِ الْإِصبَاحِ.

All praise be to the Cleaver of daybreak.

سُبْحَانَ رَبَّىَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوْسِ الْعَزِيْزِ الْحَكِيْمِ.

All glory be to my Lord, the King, the All-holy, the All-mighty, the All-wise.

يَا حَىُّ يَا قَيُّوْم

O Ever-living! O Self-Subsistent!

،يَا بَرُّ يَا رَحِيْمُ

O Benign! O All-merciful!

يَا غَنِىُّ يَا كَرِيْمُ

O Self-Sufficient! O All-generous!

أُرْزُقْنِى مِنَ التَّجَارَةِ اَعْظَمَهَا فَضْلًا

(Please) provide me commerce that is greatest in profit,

وَ أَوْ سَعَهَا رِزْقًا

most expansive in sustenance,

وَ خَيْرَهَا لِى عَاقِبَةً

and most profitable in end result,

فَإِنَّهُ لَا خَيْرَ فِيْمَا لَا عَاقِبَةَ لَهُ.

because any thing that lacks good end is worthless.

أُنَاجِيْكَ يَا مَوْجُوْدً فِي كُلِّ مَكَانٍ لَعَلَّكَ تَسْمَعُ نِدَآئِى فَقَدْ عَظُمَ جُرْمِى وَ قَلَّ حَيّآئِى

I am calling at You, O He Who is Existent everywhere..…

يَا مَوْلَاىَ آَيَّ الْأَهْوَالِ اَتَذَكِّرُ وَ أَيَّهَا اَنْسُى وَ لَوْ لَمْ يَكُنْ اِلَّا الْمَؤْثُ لَكَفَى كَيْفَ وَ مَا

Glorified and Sacred be You;

بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ اَعْظَمُ وَ اَدْهَى مَوْلَاىَ يَا مَوْلَاىَ حَثِّى مَثَى وَ اِلَى مَثَى اَقُوْلُ لَكَ الْعُثْبَى

You may then sit and recite Ayah al-Kursi after which you

مَرَّةً بَعْدَ أَخْرِى ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُ عِنْدِىٰ صِدْقًا وَ لَا وَفَآءً فَيَا غَوْثَاهُ ثُمَّ وَا غَوْتَاهُ بِكَ يَآ

may return to the prostration position and repeat the

اَللهُ مِنْ هَوَى قَدْ غَلَبَنِى وَ مِنْ عَدُوِّ قَدِ اسْتَكْلَبَ عَلَىَّ وَ مِنْ دُنْيَا قَدْ تَزَيَّنَتْ لِنْ وَ

مِنْ نَفْسِ اَمَّارَةٍ بِالسُّوْءِ اِلَّا مَا رَحِمَ رَبَّى مَؤْلَاىَ يَا مَؤْلَاىَ اِنْ كُنْتَ رَجِمْتَ مِثْلِىْ

TUDLEJUR RAHMATA A'LAA MAN TASHAAA-O MIN KHALQEKA TALAMO KHAAA-ENATAL A-A'YONE WA MAA TUKHFIS SODOORO GHAARATIN NOJOOMO WA NAAMATIL

فَازْحَمْنِن وَ إِنْ كُنْتَ قَبِلْتَ مِثْلِى فَاقْبَلْنِى يَا قَابِلَ السَّحَرَةِ اقْبَلْنِى يَا مَنْ لَمْ آَزَلْ

O'YOONO WA ANTAL HAYYUL QAYYOOMO LAA

اَتَعَرَّفُ مِنْهُ الْحُسْتُى يَا مَنْ يُغَذِّيْنِى بِالنَّعَمِ صَبَاحًا وَ مَسَاءً اِزْحَمْنِى يَوْمَ أَتِيْكَ فَرْدًا

TAAKHOZOKA SENATUNW WA LAA NAWMUN SUBHAANAL

شَاخِصًا اِلَيْكَ بَصَرِىٰ مُقَلَّدًا عَمَلِى قَدْ تَبَرّاَ جَمِيْعُ الْخَلْقِ مِنَّن نَعَمْ وَ آَبِن وَ أُمّن وَ

LAAHE RABBIL A'ALAMEENA WA ELAAHIL MURSALEENA

مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ كَذَّىٰ وَ سَعْيِن فَاِنْ لَمْ تَرْحَمْنِى فَمَنْ يَرْحَمُنِى وَ مَنْ يُؤْنِسُ فِي الْقَبْرِ

WAL HAMDO LILLAAHE RABBIL A'ALAMEEN. INNA FEE KHALQIS SAMAAWAATE WAL ARZE WAKH

وَحشَتِى وَ مَنْ يُثْطِقُ لِسَانِن اِذَا خَلَوْتُ بِعَمَلِى وَ سَالْتَنِى عَمَّآ أَنْتَ اَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنَّى

TELAAFIL LAYLE WAN NAHAARE LA-AAYAATIL LE-OOLIL

فَاِنْ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَآيْنَ الْمَهْرَبُ مِنْ عَدْلِكَ وَ اِنْ قُلْتُ لَمْ اَفْعَلْ قُلْتَ اَ لَمْ آَكُنِ الشَاهِدَ

ALBAABIL LAZEENA YAZKOROONAL LAAH QEYAAMAN WA

عَلَيْكَ فَعَفُوُكَ عَفْوُكَ يَا مَوْلَاىَ قَبْلَ سَرَابِيْلِ الْقَطِرَانِ عَفْوُكَ عَفْوُكَ يَا مَؤْلَاىَ قَبْلَ

جَهَنَّمَ وَ النِّيْرَانِ عَفْوُكَ عَفْوُكَ يَا مَوْلَاىَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُغَلِّ الْاَيْدِىْ إِلَى الْاَعْنَاقِ يَآ اَرْحَمَ

ALLAAHUMMA INNAKA KHALAQANEE SAWIYYAN...

الرَّاحِمِيْنَ وَ خَيْرَ الْغَافِرِيْنَ.

ELAAHEE TA-A'RRAZA LAKA FEE HAAZAL LAYLIL MOTA-

سُتُّوحْ قُدُّوْسٌ،رَبُّ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَ الرُّوْحِ.

A'RREZOONA.
