Virtues, description, and recitation method of NAMAZ E MAYYAT as recorded in Shia traditions.
Fadhila, maelezo, na njia ya usomaji wa NAMAZ E MAYYAT kama ilivyopokelewa katika mapokezi ya Shia.
اَشهَدُ اَنْ لَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا اللهُ
I bear witness that there is no god save Allah
Nashuhudia ya kwamba hapana mungu ila Mwenyezi Mungu
وَ اَشْهَدُ اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُوْلَ اللهِ.
and I bear witness that Muhammad is Allah's messenger.
na nashuhudia kwamba Muhammad ni Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu.
اَللّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَلِ مُحَمَّدٍ.
O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu (tafadhali) mrehemu Muhammad na Aali Muhammad.
اَللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ.
O Allah, (please) forgive the believing men and women.
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, wasamehe Waumini wanaume na Waumini wanawake.
اَللَهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِهَذَا الْمَيِّتِ.
O Allah, (please) forgive this dead person.
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) msamehe maiti huyu.
اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ
(1) Allah is the Most Great.
(1) Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mkuu.
اَشهَدُ اَنْ لَا اِلَهَ اِللَهَ
I bear witness that there is no god save Allah,
Nashuhudia ya kwamba hapana mungu ila Mwenyezi Mungu.
وَحَدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ
One and Only and having no associate,
Mmoja wa pekee na asiye na mshirika,
وَ اَشْهَدُ اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَ رَسُوْلَهُ
and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger;
na nashuhudia kwamba Muhammad ni mja na Mtume Wake;
أَرْسَلَهُ بِالْحَقُّ بَشِيْرًا وَ نَذِيْرًا
He has sent him with the truth as conveyor of good tidiness and warner (against His chastisement)
Amemtuma kwa Haki kuwa ni mwonyaji wa mambo mema na mwonyaji (dhidi ya adhabu yake).
بَيْنَ يَدَى السَّاعَةِ.
before the coming of the Hour (of Resurrection).
kabla ya kufika Saa (ya Kiyama).
اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ
(2) Allah is the Most Great.
(2) Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mkubwa.
اَللَّهُمّ صَلَّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَال مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, send benedictions upon Muhammad and the Household of
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, mrehemu Muhammad na Aali zake Muhammad, umpe salamu Muhammad na Aali zake.
وَ بَارِك عَلَى مُحَمَدٍ وَ الِ مُحَمَّدٍ
Muhammad, and show mercy to Muhammad and the Household of
Muhammad, na umrehemu Muhammad na Aali zake
وَازْحَمْ مُحَمَّدًا وَ الَ مُحَمَّدٍ
Muhammad, in the most favorable way You have sent blessings,
Muhammad, kwa njia nzuri zaidi uliyotuma baraka.
كَاَفْضَلِ مَا صَلَّيْتَ وَ بَارَكْتَ وَ تَرَحَمْتَ
benedictions, and mercy
baraka, na rehema
عَلَى اِبْرَهِيْمَ وَ أَلِ اِبْرَهِيْمَ
to Abraham and the Household of Abraham.
kwa Ibrahim na ukoo wa Ibrahim.
إِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ
Verily, You are praiseworthy and All-glorious.
Hakika Wewe ni Msifiwa na Mtukufu.
وَ صَلَّ عَلَى جَمِيْعِ الْاَنْبِيَاءِ وَالْمُرْسَلِيْنَ.
And (please) send blessings upon all the prophets and messengers.
Na (tafadhali) wape baraka Manabii na Mitume wote.
اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ
(3) Allah is the Most Great.
(3) Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mkubwa.
اَللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
O Allah, (please) forgive the believing men and women
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, wasamehe Waumini wanaume na Waumini wanawake
وَالْمُسْلِمِيْنَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ
and the Muslim men and women,
na Waislamu wanaume na wanawake,
اَلْاخِيَاءِ مِنْهُمْ وَالْامْوَاتِ
both the alive and the dead.
walio hai na waliokufa.
تَابِع بَيْنَنَا وَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْخَيْرَاتِ
(Please) combine between them and ns in bliss and happiness.
(Tafadhali) unganisha baina yao na ns katika furaha na furaha.
اِنَّكَ مُجِيْبُ الدَّعَوَاتِ
Verily, You are the responding to the prayers.
Hakika Wewe ndiye mwenye kuitikia maombi.
إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلَّشَيْئٍ قَدِيْرٌ.
Verily, You have power over all things.
Hakika Wewe ni Muweza juu ya kila kitu.
اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ
(4) Allah is the Most Great.
(4) Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye Mkubwa.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّ هَذَا عَبْدُكَ
O Allah, this is Your servant
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, huyu ni mja wako
وَابْنُ عَبْدِكَ وَابْنُ آَمَتِكَ
and the son of Your servant and Your she-servant;
na mwana wa mjakazi wako na mjakazi wako;
نَزَل بِكَ
he is now Your guest
yeye sasa ni mgeni Wako
وَ أَنْتَ خَيْرُ مَنْزُوْل بِهِ
and You are the ever best of all those who receive guests.
na Wewe ndiye mbora wa wanao pokea wageni.
اَللّهُمَّ اِنَّا لَا نَعْلَمُ مِنْهُ اِلَّا خَيْرًا
O Allah, we know about him nothing but goodness
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu hatumjui ila wema tu
وَ انْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنَّا
While You know about him better than we do.
Wakati Wewe unajua juu yake kuliko sisi.
اَللّهُمَّ اِنْ كَانَ مُحسِنًا
O Allah, if he is good-doer,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, ikiwa yeye ni mtenda mema.
فَزِدْ فِىْ اِحْسَانِهِ
then (pleas) grant him more good turns from You,
basi umzidishie kheri kutoka kwako.
وَ اِنْ كَانَ مُسِيْئًا
and if he is wrongdoer,
na ikiwa ni dhalimu.
فَتَجَاوَزْ عَنْهُ وَاغْفِرْ لَهُ
then (please) excuse and forgive him.
basi (tafadhali) udhuru na umsamehe.
اللّهُمّ اجْعَلْهُ عِنْدَكَ فِى اعْلَى عِلَّيِّينَ
O Allah, (please) place him with You in the highest point of the Highest Position,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu (tafadhali) umweke pamoja nawe katika daraja la juu kabisa.
وَاخْلُفْ عَلَى اَهْلِهِ فِي الْغَابِرِيْنَ
make those of his family members who remained behind him to take his place,
Wafanye waliobaki nyuma yake wachukue nafasi yake.
وَازْحَمْهُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
and have mercy on him with Your mercy.
na umrehemu kwa rehema yako.
يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ.
O most merciful of all those who show mercy.
Ewe mwenye kurehemu kuliko wote wanao rehemu.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّ هَذِهِ آَمَثُكَ
O Allah, this is Your she-servant
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, huyu ni mja wako
وَابْنَةُ عَبْدِكَ وَابْنَةُ آَمَتِكَ
and the daughter of Your servant and Your she-servant;
na binti ya mjakazi wako na mjakazi wako;
نَزَلْتَ بِكَ
she is now Your guest
yeye sasa ni mgeni Wako
وَ انْتَ خَيْرُ مَنْزُوْلِ بِهِ
and You are the ever best of all those who receive guests.
na Wewe ndiye mbora wa wanao pokea wageni.
اَللّهُمّ اِنَّا لَا نَعْلَمُ مِنْهَا اِلَّا خَيْرًا
O Allah, we know about her nothing but goodness
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu hatujui juu yake ila wema tu
وَ أَنْتَ اَعْلَمُ بِهَا مِنَّا
While You know about her better than we do.
Wakati Wewe unajua juu yake bora kuliko sisi.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنْ كَانَثْ مُحْسِتَةَ
O Allah, if she is good-doer,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, ikiwa yeye ni mtenda mema.
فَزْدْ فِىْ اِحْسَانِهَا
then (please) grant her more good turns from You,
basi (tafadhali) mpe zamu njema zaidi kutoka Kwako.
وَ اِنْ كَانَتْ مُسِيْئَةَ
and if she is wrongdoer,
na ikiwa yeye ni dhalimu.
فَتَجَاوَزْ عَنْهَا وَاغْفِرْ لَهَا
then (please) excuse and forgive her.
basi (tafadhali) udhuru na umsamehe.
اَللّهُمّ اجْعَلْهَا عِنْدَكَ فِى اعْلَى عِلَّيِّيْنَ
O Allah, (please) place her with You in the highest point of the Highest Position,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu (tafadhali) umweke pamoja nawe katika daraja la juu kabisa.
وَاخْلُفْ عَلَى اَهْلِهَا فِي الْغَابِرِيْنَ
make those of her family members who remained behind her to take her place,
kuwafanya watu wa familia yake waliobaki nyuma yake wachukue nafasi yake,
وَازحَمْهَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ
and have mercy on her with Your mercy.
na umrehemu kwa rehema yako.
يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ.
O most merciful of all those who show mercy.
Ewe mwenye kurehemu kuliko wote wanao rehemu.
اَللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلَّذِيْنَ تَابُوا
O Allah, (please) forgive those who have repented
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, wasamehe walio tubu
وَ اتَبَعُوْا سَبِيْلَكَ
and followed Your Path
na kuifuata Njia yako
وَ قِهِمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيْمِ.
and protect them against the chastisement of Hellfire.
na uwalinde na adhabu ya Moto wa Jahannamu.
اَللَهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ لابَوَيْهِ وَ لَنَا
O Allah, (please) make for his parents and for us
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) wafanyie wazazi wake na sisi
سَلَفًّا وَ فَرَطًا وَ اَجْرًا.
a progeny,a precedence, and a reward.
kizazi, utangulizi, na malipo.
