دعاء لدفع الوهم عن النفس: عن الامام الصادق (ع) قال: ما يمر على المؤمن أربعون صباح إلا برزت في ذهنه همسات شريرة، فإذا أصابك مثل هذه الوهمات الشريرة، صل ركعتين وصلى.

وروي عن الامام الصادق (عليه السلام) أنه قال: لما شكا آدم (عليه السلام) إلى الله عز وجل من الهوى، نزل عليه جبريل فقال له:

Almighty Allah to protect you against so." Imam al-Sadiq(a.s.) is also reported to have said: When Prophet Adam (a.s.) complained to Almighty Allah against evil self-inspirations, Archangel Gabriel came down to him and asked him to say the following:

لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ.

There is no power nor strength except in God.

وبمجرد أن فعل النبي آدم (ع) استطاع أن يتخلص من شر النفس.

Once Prophet Adam (a.s.) did, he could get rid of evil self-

شكوا إلى النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله) الوسواس

complained to the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) against obsession,

Instructions

الهمة الشريرة، والديون التي لا تطاق، الرسول الكريم

evil self-inspiration, and unbearable debts, the Holy Prophet

تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الْحَىِّ الّذِي لَا يَمُوْتُ

I put my trust in the living that does not die

وَ الْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِيٰ لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا

Praise be to God who did not take a son.

وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لهُ شَرِيْكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ

And he had no partner in the kingdom

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِىًّ مِنَ الذَّلَّ

And he had no protector of humiliation

وَ كَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيْرًا.

And magnify it greatly.

وبعد فترة رجع الرجل إلى الرسول الكريم

After some time, the man returned to the Holy Prophet

Instructions

وقد ورد أن الآية الكريمة التالية تقال للصدّ

The following holy verse is reported to be said for fending off

هُوَ الْاوَّلُ وَالاخِرُ

He is the first and the last

وَالظَاهِرُ وَالْبَاطِنُ

And the apparent and the hidden

وَ هُوَ بِكُلَ شَيْء عَلِيْمٌ.

And He is All-Knowing.
