1. How do I access all features?
Open the app or website and click on the menu button (hamburger icon) in the top-left to expand the sidebar drawer. From there, you can navigate to any section including Quran, Duas, prayer times, habit trackers, and more.
2. How do I switch themes (Light/Dark)?
Use the theme toggle button (sun/moon icon) located in the header or inside Settings. Your preference is saved automatically and will persist on your next visit.
3. I can’t hear Adhan or notifications. What should I do?
- Ensure your device volume is turned on and not muted.
- Check that browser notifications are allowed for Zahra.
- Ensure background notifications permissions are enabled.
4. Can I save my favorite content?
Yes! Tap the heart icon next to any video, surah, dua, a'maal, or swalah guide. All your saved items are aggregated on the unified Favorites page for easy access.
5. How do I change the Qur'an Arabic font and text size?
Go to the Settings page. Under the Font styles section, you can pick your preferred font (UthmanTNB, Noorhira, Noorehuda, or MeQuran) and scale the font size using the slider. The choices will sync across all pages dynamically.
Font sizes on all verse and translation cards scale proportionally.
6. How do I search for Qur'an verses or Duas?
Use the search bar at the top of the Quran or Dua pages. You can search by Surah name, chapter number, translation keyword, or specific Arabic text without harakats.
7. Why does the Qibla Finder or Mosque Map show location errors?
These features require precise GPS details. If you see "Location Permission Denied", please click the settings icon in your browser URL bar, enable location permissions for the Zahra site, and refresh the page.
We process location coordinates entirely inside your browser client; they are never uploaded or saved on our servers.
8. Why are my prayer times incorrect?
Prayer times are computed based on coordinates. Verify location permissions or go to Settings to select a different calculation method (e.g., Shia Ithna Ashari or University of Islamic Sciences) to match your region.
9. How do I enroll in courses at Zahra Academy?
Browse courses on the Academy page, select a course, and click "Apply". Fill out the admission form. Once submitted, you can sign in to the Student Portal to track registration status and view updates.
10. How do I sign in or reset my student portal credentials?
Visit the Login page and sign in using your registered email and password. If you forgot your password, click "Forgot Password" to receive a password reset link in your email inbox.
11. How can I make donations safely?
Navigate to the Donate section, pick a donation tier, and follow the checkout instructions. Zahra uses secure local billing options like M-PESA. Ensure you save your receipt transaction reference.
