Virtues, description, and recitation method of TEN DUAS FOR FUFILLMENT OF PETITIONS (REQUESTS) as recorded in Shia traditions.
Fadhila, maelezo, na njia ya usomaji wa DUA KUMI ZA KUTIMIZA DUA (MAOMBI) kama ilivyopokelewa katika mapokezi ya Shia.
اَللّهُمّ إِنَّ خِيرَتَكَ فِيْمَا اسْتَخَرْتُكَ فِيْهِ
Allāhumma ʾinna khīrataka fīmā astakhartuka fīhi
Archangel Gabriel who said, , "Muhammad, the Almighty Lord O Allah, my prayer for guidance from You with regard to the matter about which I have asked You to guide me
Malaika Mkuu Jibril ambaye alisema, "Muhammad, Mola Mlezi, Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, dua yangu ya uwongofu kutoka Kwako kuhusu jambo ambalo nimekuomba uniongoze.
تُنِيْلَ الرَّغَائِبَ وَ تُجْزِلَ الْمَوَاهِبَ
Tunīla ar-raghāʾiba wa tujzila al-mawāhiba
does make all desires accessible, grant abundant gifts,
hufanya matamanio yote kupatikana, hutoa zawadi nyingi,
وَ تُغْنِمُ الْمَطَالِبَ وَتُطَيِّبُ الْمَكَاسِبَ
Wa tughnimu al-maṭāliba watuṭayyibu al-makāsiba
make win the requests, make easy the gains,
shinda maombi, fanya faida iwe rahisi,
وَ تَهْدِى إِلى اَجْمَلِ الْمَذَاهِبِ
Wa tahdiā ʾilā ajmali al-madhāhibi
guide to the most excellent way,
mwongozo wa njia iliyo bora zaidi,
وَ تَسُوْقُ اِلَى اَحْمَدِ الْعَوَاقِبِ
Wa tasūqu al-ā aḥmadi al-ʿawāqibi
drive to the most praiseworthy consequences,
endesha kwa matokeo yanayosifiwa zaidi,
وَتَقِى مَخُوْفَ النَّوَائِبِ
Wataqiā makhūfa an-nawāʾibi
and guard from the dreadful calamities.
na jilinde na majanga.
اَللّهُمّ اِنَّى اسْتَخِيرُكَ فِيْمَا عَزَمَ رَأين عَلَيْهِ
Allāhumma innā astakhīruka fīmā ʿazama raʾyn ʿalayhi
O Allah, I pray You for guiding me to the best choice with regard to what I am determined to do
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, nakuomba uniongoze kwenye chaguo bora zaidi kuhusiana na yale niliyoazimia kuyafanya
وَ قَادَنِىٰ عَقْلِى اِلَيْهِ
Wa qādaniā ʿaqliā al-yhi
to which my reason has directed me. O Allah, (please) smooth its progress to me,
ambayo sababu yangu imenielekeza. Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu (tafadhali) nilainishie maendeleo yake.
وَ سَهِّلِ اللَّهُمَّ فِيْهِ مَا تَوَعَّرَ
Wa sahhili Allāhumma fīhi mā tawaʿʿara
make easy its difficulty,
kurahisisha ugumu wake,
وَ يَسِّرْ مِنْهُ مَا تَعَسَّرَ
Wa yassir minhu mā taʿassara
save me from what concerns me,
niokoe na yale yanayonihusu,
وَاكَفِيِن فِيْهِ المُهِمَّ
Wākafiyin fīhi al-muhimma
repel from me what is terrible,
niondolee yaliyo mabaya,
وَادفَعْ بِهِ عَنَّى كُلِّ مُلِمِّ
Wādfaʿ bihi ʿannā kulli mulimmi
and, O Lord, change its bad consequences into good end
na, Ee Bwana, badilisha matokeo yake mabaya kuwa mwisho mwema
وَاجْعَل يَا رَبِّ عَوَاقِبَهُ غُنْمًا
Wājʿal yā rabbi ʿawāqibahu ghunman
results,
matokeo,
وَ مَخُوْفَهُ سِلْمًا
Wa makhūfahu silman
its dreadful parts into safety,
sehemu zake za kutisha katika usalama,
وَ بُعْدَهُ قُرْبًا
Wa buʿdahu qurban
its unlikely gains into possible,
uwezekano wake wa kupata faida,
وَجَذْبَهُ خِضبًا
Wajadhbahu khiḍban
and its barrenness into fertility.
na utasa wake katika uzazi.
وَ اَرْسِلِ اللَّهُمَّ اِجَابَتِى
Wa arsili Allāhumma ijābatiā
O Allah, release Your response to me,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, nipe majibu yako,
وَاَنْجِح طَلِبَتِى
Wānjiḥ ṭalibatiā
make successful my appeal,
fanikisha ombi langu,
وَاقَضِ حَاجَتِىْ
Wāqaḍi ḥājatiā
grant me my need,
nipe haja yangu,
وَاقْطَعْ عَنَّى عَوَائِقَهَا
Wāqṭaʿ ʿannā ʿawāʾiqahā
cut off whatever hinders it,
kata chochote kinachozuia,
وَامْنَغ عَنَّىْ بَوَائِقَهَا
Wāmnagh ʿannā bawāʾiqahā
and stop its misfortunes.
na kuacha misiba yake.
وَاَعْطِنِى اللَّهُمَّ لِوَآءَ الظَّفَرِ
Wāʿṭiniā Allāhumma liwaʾāʾa aẓ-ẓafari
O Allah, give me the pennon of triumph,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu nipe kalamu ya ushindi.
وَالْخِيَرَةَ فِيْمَا اسْتَخَرْتُكَ
Wālkhiyarata fīmā astakhartuka
the true guidance to the best of what I have asked You for,
uongofu wa kweli kwa bora ya niliyokuomba.
وَ وُفُوْرَ الْمَغْنَمِ فِيْمَا دَعَوْتُكَ
Wa wufūra al-maghnami fīmā daʿawtuka
the abundant gain of what I have prayed You for,
faida tele ya yale niliyokuombea,
وَ عَوَائِدَ الْاِفْضَالِ فِيْمَا رَجَوْتُكَ
Wa ʿawāʾida al-āfḍāli fīmā rajawtuka
and the bestowals of favors in what I have hoped You for.
na fadhila katika yale niliyokutarajia.
وَاقْرِنْهُ اللَهُمَّ بِالنَّجَاحِ
Wāqrinhu Allāhumma biālnnajāḥi
O Allah, attach all that to success,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, yaambatanishe hayo na mafanikio.
وَ خُصَهُ بِالصَّلاحِ
Wa khuṣahu biālṣṣalāḥi
adorn it exclusively with righteousness,
ipamba kwa uadilifu.
وَاَرِنِىً اَسْبَابَ الْخِيَرَةِ فِيْهِ وَاضِحَةً
Wāriniā asbāba al-khiyarati fīhi wāḍiḥatan
make clear before my eyes the reasons for guiding me to this choice
weka wazi mbele ya macho yangu sababu za kuniongoza kwenye uchaguzi huu
وَاَعْلَامَ غُنْمِهَا لَائِحَةً
Wāʿlāma ghunmihā lāʾiḥatan
and the factors of winning it,
na sababu za kushinda,
وَاشْدُدْ خِنَاقَ تَعْسِيْرِهَا
Wāshdud khināqa taʿsīrihā
tighten the grip around the throat of its difficulties,
kaza mtego karibu na koo la shida zake,
وَانْعَش صَرِيْعَ تَيْسِيْرِهَا
Wānʿash ṣarīʿa taysīrihā
and refresh its dying easiness.
na kuburudisha urahisi wake wa kufa.
وَ بَيَّنِ اللّهُمَ مُلْتَبَسَهَا
Wa bayyani Allāhumma multabasahā
O Allah, acquaint me with its confusable matters,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu nijulishe mambo yake yenye utata.
وَاَطَلِقْ مُخْتَبَسَهَا
Wāṭaliq mukhtabasahā
release its detained affairs,
kuachilia mambo yake yaliyozuiliwa,
وَ مَكِّنْ أُسَّهَا
Wa makkin ʾussahā
and make firm its foundations
na uifanye imara misingi yake
حَتّى تَكُوْنَ خِيَرَةً مُقْبِلَةً بِالْغُنْمِ
Ḥattā takūna khiyaratan muqbilatan biālghunmi
so that it will come carrying gains,
ili ije ikibeba faida,
مُزِيْلَةً لِلْغُزْمِ
Muzīlatan lilghuzmi
removing debts,
kuondoa madeni,
عَاجِلَةً لِلنَّفْعِ
ʿājilatan lilnnafʿi
bringing about swift benefits,
kuleta faida haraka,
بَاقِيَة الصُّنْعِ
Bāqiyah aṣ-ṣunʿi
and perpetuating its effect.
na kuendeleza athari zake.
اِنَّكَ مَلِيءٌ بِالْمَزِيْدِ
Innaka malīʾun biālmazīdi
Verily, You always have more to give
Hakika Wewe daima una zaidi ya kutoa
مُبْتَدِءٌ بِالجُوْدِ
Mubtadiʾun biāljūdi
and take the initiative to magnanimous conferrals.
na kuchukua hatua ya kutoa zawadi kubwa.
اَللّهُمَّ اِنَّ الرَّجَاءَ لِسَعَةٍ رَحْمَتِكَ
Allāhumma inna ar-rajāʾa lisaʿatin raḥmatika
O Allah, it is my hope for Your expansive mercy
Ee Mwenyezi Mungu, ni matumaini yangu kwa rehema yako iliyoenea
اَنْطَقَنِى بِاسْتِقَالَتِكَ
Anṭaqaniā biāstiqālatika
that has motivated me to ask for accepting my true repentance,
ambayo imenisukuma kuomba kukubali toba yangu ya kweli,
وَالْامَلَ لِاَنَاتِكَ وَ رِفْقِكَ
Wālāmala liānātika wa rifqika
and it is my hope for Your forbearance and leniency
na ni matumaini yangu kwa ustahimilivu wako na upole
شَجَعَنِى عَلَى طَلَبِ اَمَانِكَ
Shajaʿaniā ʿalā ṭalabi amānika
that has encouraged me to beg Your security and pardon.
hilo limenitia moyo kuomba usalama na msamaha Wako.
وَ عَفْوِكَ وَلِى يَا رَبِّ ذُنُوْبٌ
Wa ʿafwika waliā yā rabbi dhunūbun
O my Lord, l have committed sins,
Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi, nimefanya dhambi.
قَدْ وَاجَهَثْهَا اَوْجُهُ الْاِنْتِقَامِ
Qad wājahathhā awjuhu al-āntiqāmi
which are worthy of encountering Your punishment, and [l have committed] wrongdoings, which have been
Ambao wanastahiki kupata adhabu Yako, na [nimetenda] makosa yaliyo fanyika
وَخَطَايَا قَدْ لَاحَظَتْهَا آَغْيُنُ الْاِضْطِلَامِ
Wakhaṭāyā qad lāḥaẓathā āghyunu al-āḍṭilāmi
observed by the eyes of eradication and due to which, l deserve Your painful chastisement despite of Your justice,
kuangaliwa kwa macho ya kutokomezwa na kwa sababu hiyo, ninastahiki adhabu Yako yenye uchungu licha ya uadilifu Wako.
وَاسْتَوْجَبْتُ بِهَا عَلَى عَذْلِكَ ٱَلِيْمَ الْعَذَابِ
Wāstawjabtu bihā ʿalā ʿadhlika al-yma al-ʿadhābi
and because I have committed these wrongdoings, l earn
na kwa sababu nimefanya makosa haya, ninachuma
وَاسْتَحْقَقْتُ بِاجْتِرَاحِهَا مُبِيْرَ الْعِقَابِ
Wāstaḥqaqtu biājtirāḥihā mubīra al-ʿiqābi
Your annihilating punishment.
Adhabu yako ya kuangamiza.
وَ خِفْتُ تَعْوِيْقَهَا لاِجَابَتِىْ
Wa khiftu taʿwīqahā lājābatiā
I am thus afraid that these wrongdoings will obstruct You
Kwa hivyo ninachelea kwamba maovu haya yatakuzuia Wewe
وَ رَدَّهَا اِيَّاىَ عَنْ قَضَاءِ حَاجَتِىْ
Wa raddahā iyyāā ʿan qaḍāʾi ḥājatiā
from responding to me
kutokana na kunijibu
بِاِبْطَالِهَا لِطَلِبَتِن
Biābṭālihā liṭalibatin
and will make You refuse to grant me my requests, since they are violative enough to abolish my petition
na nitakufanya ukatae kunipa maombi yangu, kwa vile yana dhulumu kiasi cha kuniondolea ombi langu.
وَ قَطْعَهَا لِاسْبَابٍ رَغْبَتِىْ
Wa qaṭʿahā liāsbābin raghbatiā
and to cut off the factors of achieving my desires, because their overburdens have pressed heavily upon my
na kukata mambo ya kufikia matamanio yangu, kwa sababu mizigo yao imenilemea sana.
مِنْ آَجْلِ مَا قَدْ اَنْقَضَ ظَهْرِىْ مِنْ ثِقْلِهَا
Min ājli mā qad anqaḍa ẓahriā min thiqlihā
back
nyuma
وَ بَهَظَيِي مِنَ الْاِسْتِقْلَالِ بِحَمْلِهَا
Wa bahaẓayī mina al-āstiqlāli biḥamlihā
and their loads have been too heavy for me to burden.
na mizigo yao imekuwa mizito sana kwangu mimi kuitwika.
ثُمَّ تَرَاجَعْتُ رَبِّ إِلَى حِلْمِكَ عَنِ الْخَاطِئِيْنَ
Thumma tarājaʿtu rabbi ʾilā ḥilmika ʿani al-khāṭiʾīna
But when I recalled Your forbearance, O my Lord, with the wrongdoers,
Lakini nilipokumbuka subira yako, ewe Mola wangu, kwa madhalimu.
وَ عَفْوِكَ عَنِ الْمُذْنِبِيْنَ
Wa ʿafwika ʿani al-mudhnibīna
Your forgiveness to the sinful,
Msamaha wako kwa wakosefu,
وَ رَحْمَتِكَ لِلْعَاصِيْنَ
Wa raḥmatika lilʿāṣīna
and Your mercy to the disobedient,
na rehema zako kwa maasi.
فَاقْبَلْتُ بِثِقَتِى مُتَوَكَّلًا عَلَيْكَ
Fāqbaltu bithiqatiā mutawakkalan ʿalayka
1, carrying my trust in You and relying on You, came towards You,
1, nikibeba imani yangu kwako na kukutegemea Wewe, nilikuja kwako,
طَارِحًا نَفْسِىْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ
Ṭāriḥan nafsiā bayna yadayka
throwing myself in Your Presence,
nikijitupa katika Uwepo Wako,
شَاكِيًا بَتِّىْ اِليْكَ
Shākiyan battiā al-yka
complaining about my grief to You,
kulalamika juu ya huzuni yangu kwako,
سَآئِلًا مَالَا اَسْتَوْجِبُهُ مِنْ تَفْرِيْجِ الْهَمَّ
Saʾāʾilan mālā astawjibuhu min tafrīji al-hamma
praying You, O my Lord, for what I do not deserve from You; that is relief from my distress,
kukuomba ewe Mola wangu kwa nisichostahiki kutoka Kwako; hiyo ni kitulizo kutoka kwa dhiki yangu,
وَلَا اَسْتَجِقُهُ مِنْ تَنْفِيْسِ الْغَمِّ
Walā astajiquhu min tanfīsi al-ghammi
and for what I do not earn from You, that is alleviation of my anguish,
na kwa nisiyo yachuma kutoka Kwako ndio kunipunguzia dhiki.
مُسْتَقِيْلًا لَكَ اِيَّاىَ
Mustaqīlan laka iyyāā
declaring my true repentance before You, O my Lord,
nikitangaza toba yangu mbele yako, Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi.
وَاثِقًّا مَوْلَاىَ بِكَ،
Wāthiqqan mawlāā bika,
and putting my trust in You, O my Master.
na kukutegemea Wewe, Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi.
اَللَّهُمَّ فَامْنُنْ عَلَىَّ بِالْفَرَجِ
Allāhumma fāmnun ʿalā biālfaraji
O Allah, so (please) bestow upon me with relief from You,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, basi (tafadhali) nipe nafuu kutoka Kwako.
وَ تَطَوَّلْ بِسُهُوْلَةِ الْمَخْرَجِ وَادْلَّلْنِىْ
Wa taṭawwal bisuhūlati al-makhraji wādllalniā
confer upon me with creating for me an easy way out,
nijaalie kwa kunitengenezea njia rahisi ya kutokea,
بِرَافَتِكَ عَلَى سَمْتِ الْمَنْهَجِ
Birāfatika ʿalā samti al-manhaji
lead me, out of Your clemency, to the straightest path,
nitoe katika rehema zako kwenye njia iliyonyooka,
وَ اَزْلِقْنِى بِقُذْرَتِكَ عَنِ الطَّرَيْقِ الاَغْوَجِ
Wa azliqniā biqudhratika ʿani aṭ-ṭarayqi al-āghwaji
make me, out of Your omnipotence, deviate from the crooked path, release me, out of Your acceptance of my true repentance,
nifanye kutoka katika uweza Wako kutoka katika njia potofu, nitoe kutoka katika kukubali kwako toba yangu ya kweli.
وَ خَلَّضيِن مِنْ سِجْنِ الْكَرْبِ بِاِقَالَتِكَ
Wa khallaḍyin min sijni al-karbi biāqālatika
from the prison of ordeals,
kutoka jela ya mateso,
وَاَظِلِقْ اَسْرِىْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
Wāẓiliq asriā biraḥmatika
set me free from my capture, out of Your mercy,
Uniweke huru kutokana na kutekwa kwangu, kutoka katika rehema Yako,
وَ ظُل عَلَىَّ بِرِضْوَانِكَ
Wa ẓul ʿalā biriḍwānika
donate me with favors, out of Your pleasure,
Nipe kwa neema, kwa radhi yako.
وَجُذْ عَلَىَّ بِاِحْسَانِكَ
Wajudh ʿalā biāḥsānika
give me generously, out of Your benevolence,
Nipe kwa ukarimu, kutokana na fadhili zako,
وَاَقِلْنِى عَثْرَتِىْ
Wāqilniā ʿathratiā
steady me, O my Lord, from my slip,
Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi, nishibishe kutoka kwenye mtelezo wangu.
وَ فَرِّجٍ كُرْبَتِىْ
Wa farrijin kurbatiā
relieve me from my agony,
niondolee uchungu wangu,
وَازْحَمُ عَبْرَتِىْ
Wāzḥamu ʿabratiā
have mercy upon my sobbing,
nihurumie kilio changu,
وَلَا تَحْجُبْ دَعْوَتِىْ
Walā taḥjub daʿwatiā
do not make my prayer inaccessible,
usifanye maombi yangu kuwa magumu,
وَ اشدُدْ بِالْاِقَالَةِ اَزْرِيْ
Wa ashdud biālāqālati azrī
and by accepting my repentance, (please) strengthen my
na kwa kukubali toba yangu, (tafadhali) unitie nguvu
وَ قَوِّبِهَا ظَهْرِىْ
Wa qawwibihā ẓahriā
back, confirm my strength,
nyuma, thibitisha nguvu zangu,
وَ اَصلِحْ بِهَا أَمْرِىْ
Wa aṣliḥ bihā ʾamriā
set aright all my affairs, grant me long lifetime,
rekebisha mambo yangu yote, nipe maisha marefu,
وَ اَطِلْ بِهَا عُمْرِىْ
Wa aṭil bihā ʿumriā
and have mercy upon me on the day of my resurrecting and
na unirehemu siku ya kufufuliwa kwangu na
وَازْحَمْنِنْ يَوْمَ حَشْرِيْ وَ وَقْتَ نَشْرِيّ
Wāzḥamnin yawma ḥashrī wa waqta nashriyy
the time of my restoring to life.
wakati wa kufufuliwa kwangu.
اِنَّكَ جَوَادٌ كَرِيْمٌ
Innaka jawādun karīmun
Verily, You are all-magnanimous, all-generous,
Hakika Wewe ni Mtukufu, Mkarimu.
غَفُوْرٌ رَحِيْمٌ.
Ghafūrun raḥīmun.
all-forgiving, and all-merciful.
Mwenye kusamehe na Mwenye kurehemu.
وَ صَلَّى عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَلِهِ
Wa ṣallā ʿalā muḥammadin wa ʾalihi
And (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household.
Na (tafadhali) mswalie Muhammad na Aali zake.
اَللَهُمَّ إِنَّى أُرِيْدُ سَفَرًا
Allāhumma ʾinnā ʾurīdu safaran
O Allah, l intend to travel;
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, ninakusudia kusafiri;
فَخِرْلِىٰ فِيْهِ
Fakhirliā fīhi
so, choose for me the best in my journey,
kwa hivyo, nichagulie lililo bora zaidi katika safari yangu,
وَاَوْضِح لِى فِيْهِ سَبَيْلَ الرَّأْى وَ فَهَمِنِيْهِ
Wāwḍiḥ liā fīhi sabayla ar-raʾā wa fahaminīhi
make clear before me and inspire to me the right understanding of the most accurate attitude,
fanya wazi mbele yangu na unitie msukumo ufahamu sahihi wa mtazamo sahihi zaidi,
وَافْتَحْ لِى عَزْمِى بِالْإِسْتِقَامَةِ
Wāftaḥ liā ʿazmiā biālʾistiqāmati
release my determination by means of straightforwardness,
toa azimio langu kwa njia ya unyofu,
وَاشمُلْنِى فِى سَفَرِى بِالسَّلَامَةِ
Wāshmulniā fiā safariā biālssalāmati
include me with safety during my journey,
nijumuishe kwa usalama katika safari yangu,
وَاَفِدْنِى جَزِيْلَ الْحَظَّ وَالْكَرَامَةِ
Wāfidniā jazīla al-ḥaẓẓa wālkarāmati
furnish me with abundant fortune and honor,
nipe utajiri mwingi na heshima,
وَ اكْلَانِى بِحْسْنِ الْحِفْظِ وَالْحَرَاسَةِ
Wa aklāniā biḥsni al-ḥifẓi wālḥarāsati
and preserve me with the excellent safeguard and watching.
na unihifadhi kwa ulinzi bora na kutazama.
وَ جَنَّبْنِى اللَّهُمَّ وَ غَثَآءَ الْاَسْفَارِ
Wa jannabniā Allāhumma wa ghathaʾāʾa al-āsfāri
O Allah, send away from me the inconvenience of journeys,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu niondolee usumbufu wa safari.
وَ سَهَّلْ لِىْ حُزُوْنَةَ الْاَوْعَارِ
Wa sahhal liā ḥuzūnata al-āwʿāri
make easy for me the difficulty of roughness,
nirahisishie ugumu wa ukali,
وَاظوِلِى بِسَاطَ المَرَاحِل
Wāẓwiliā bisāṭa al-marāḥil
unwrap before me the rug of covering the stations,
fungua mbele yangu zulia la kufunika vituo,
وَ قَرِّبْ مِنَّى بُعْدَ نَأىِ الْمَنَاهِلِ
Wa qarrib minnā buʿda naʾā al-manāhili
bring nearer to me the remote watering places,
niletee karibu maeneo ya mbali ya kumwagilia maji,
وَ بَاعِدْ فِى الْمَسِيْرِ بَيْنَ خَطَى الرَّوَاحِلِ
Wa bāʿid fiā al-masīri bayna khaṭā ar-rawāḥili
and make spaces to be longer between the steps of our riding animals,
na kufanya nafasi kuwa ndefu kati ya ngazi za wanyama wetu wanaoendesha,
حَتَّى تُقَرِّبَ نِيَاطَ البَعِيْدِ
Ḥattā tuqarriba niyāṭa al-baʿīdi
so that the remote distances will be nearby
ili umbali wa mbali uwe karibu
وَ تُسَهَّلَ وُ عُوْرَ الشَّدِيْدِ
Wa tusahhala wu ʿūra ash-shadīdi
and the rough roads will be smooth.
na barabara mbovu zitakuwa laini.
وَلَقِّنِى اللّهُمَّ فِى سَفَرِئ نُجَحَ طَآئِرِ الْوَاقِيَةِ
Walaqqiniā Allāhumma fiā safariʾ nujaḥa ṭaʾāʾiri al-wāqiyati
O Allah, make me find in this journey success over evil omens,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, nijaalie katika safari hii nipate kufaulu juu ya ishara mbaya.
وَهَبْنِى فِيْهِ غُنْمَ الْعَافِيَةِ
Wahabniā fīhi ghunma al-ʿāfiyati
endue me with achievement of wellbeing,
nipe mafanikio ya ustawi,
وَ خَفِيْرَ الْاِسْتِقْلَالِ
Wa khafīra al-āstiqlāli
safeguard against tailure,
kinga dhidi ya mkia,
وَ دَلِيْلَ مُجَاوَزَةِ الْاَهْوَالِ
Wa dalīla mujāwazati al-āhwāli
guidance to survive dangers,
mwongozo wa kuokoa hatari,
وَ بَاعِثَ وُفَوْرِ الْكِفَايَةِ
Wa bāʿitha wufawri al-kifāyati
incentives to gain adequacy,
motisha ya kupata utoshelevu,
وَ سَانِحَ خَفِيْرِ الْوِلايَةِ
Wa sāniḥa khafīri al-wilāyati
and good opportunity to be protected against authorities.
na nafasi nzuri ya kulindwa dhidi ya mamlaka.
وَاجْعَلْهُ اللَّهُمَّ سَبَبَ عَظِيْمِ السَّلْمِ
Wājʿalhu Allāhumma sababa ʿaẓīmi as-salmi
O Allah, cause my journey to be a reason for winning marvelous security
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, nifanye safari yangu iwe sababu ya kupata usalama wa ajabu
حَاصِلَ الْغُنْمِ
Ḥāṣila al-ghunmi
and obtaining protits.
na kupata protits.
وَاجْعَلِ اللَّيْلَ عَلَىَّ سِثْرًا مِنَ الْأَقَاتِ
Wājʿali al-layla ʿalā sithran mina al-ʾaqāti
Make night cover me against banes
Unifunike usiku dhidi ya marufuku
وَالنَّهَارَ مَانِعًا مِنَ الْهَلَكَاتِ
Wālnnahāra māniʿan mina al-halakāti
and daytime defend me against perishing things.
na mchana unitetee dhidi ya vitu vinavyoangamia.
وَاقْطَغ عَنَّى قِطَعَ لَصُوْصِهِ بِقُدْرَتِكَ
Wāqṭagh ʿannā qiṭaʿa laṣūṣihi biqudratika
Out of Your omnipotence, (please) hold back the robbers from reaching me
Kutokana na uweza Wako, (tafadhali) wazuie wanyang'anyi wasinifikie
وَاخْرُسْنِىْ مِنْ وُحُوْشِهِ بِقَوَّتِكَ
Wākhrusniā min wuḥūshihi biqawwatika
and, out of Your power, guard me against the beasts
na, kwa uwezo wako, nilinde dhidi ya wanyama
حَثَّى تَكُوْنَ السَّلَامَةُ فِيْهِ مُصَاحِبَتِى
Ḥatthā takūna as-salāmatu fīhi muṣāḥibatiā
so that safety will accompany me in my journey,
ili usalama unisindikize katika safari yangu,
وَالْعَافِيَةُ فِيْهِ مُقَارِنَتِىْ
Wālʿāfiyatu fīhi muqārinatiā
wellbeing will attend me,
ustawi utanihudhuria,
وَ الْيُمْنُ سَائِقِىْ
Wa al-yumnu sāʾiqiā
good omen will be driven along with me,
bahati njema itaongozwa pamoja nami,
وَ اليُسْرُ مُعَانِقِىْ
Wa al-yusru muʿāniqiā
easiness will embrace me,
urahisi utanikumbatia,
وَ الْعُسْرُ مُفَارِقِى
Wa al-ʿusru mufāriqiā
difficulty will depart me,
ugumu utaniacha,
وَ الفَوْزُ مُوَافِقِىْ
Wa al-fawzu muwāfiqiā
triumph will agree with me,
ushindi utakubaliana nami,
وَالْاَمْنُ مُرَافِقِى
Wālāmnu murāfiqiā
and security will associate with me.
na usalama utashirikiana nami.
اِنَّكَ ذُوْ الطَّول وَ الْمَنَّ
Innaka dhū aṭ-ṭawl wa al-manna
Verily, You are the Lord of bestowals, conferrals,
Hakika Wewe ni Mola Mlezi wa walio fadhila na wafadhili.
وَالْقُوَّةِ وَ الْحَوْلِ
Wālquwwati wa al-ḥawli
power, and might,
nguvu, na nguvu,
وَآَنْتَ عَلْى كُلِّشَىء قَدِيْرٌ
Waʾānta ʿalā kullishāʾ qadīrun
and You have power over all things
na Wewe ni Muweza wa kila kitu
وَ بِعِبَادِكَ بَصِيْرٌ خَبِيْرٌ
Wa biʿibādika baṣīrun khabīrun
and You know and regard all of Your servants.
na Wewe unawajua na kuwaheshimu waja wako wote.
اَللَّهُمَّ اَرْسِلْ عَلَىَّ سِجَالَ رِزْقِكَ مِدْرَارًا
Allāhumma arsil ʿalā sijāla rizqika midrāran
O Allah, send forth on me the bails of Your sustenance in abundance,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu niteremshie baraka za riziki zako kwa wingi.
وَاَمْطِرْ عَلَىَّ سَحَآئِبَ اِفْضَالِكَ غِزَارًا
Wāmṭir ʿalā saḥaʾāʾiba ifḍālika ghizāran
make the clouds of Your favoring rain on me heavily,
yafanye mawingu ya mvua ya neema yako yawe mazito juu yangu.
وَ أَدِمْ غَيْثَ نَيْلِكَ اِلَىَّ سِجَالًا
Wa ʾadim ghaytha naylika al-ā sijālan
keep continuous the drizzle of Your gifts to me plenteously,
endelea kunidunga kwa wingi zawadi zako,
وَاَسْبِلْ مَزِيْدَ نِعَمِكَ عَلَى خَلَّتِيّ اِسْبَالًا
Wāsbil mazīda niʿamika ʿalā khallatiyy isbālan
let the superfluity of Your graces to me fall on my neediness increasingly,
acha wingi wa neema Zako kwangu zianguke juu ya uhitaji wangu zaidi,
وَافْقِزْنِىْ بِجُوْدِكَ اِليْكَ
Wāfqizniā bijūdika al-yka
make me in ceaseless need for Your magnanimity,
unifanye niwe na haja isiyo na kikomo ya ukuu Wako,
وَ اَغْنِنِى عَمَّنْ يَطلُبُ مَالَدَيْكَ
Wa aghniniā ʿamman yaṭlubu māladayka
make me dispense with those who are in want for what is possessed by You,
Nijaalie niwaachilie walio masikini kwa yale uliyo nayo.
وَ دَاوِدَاءَ فَقْرِىْ بِدَوَاءِ فَضْلِكَ
Wa dāwidāʾa faqriā bidawāʾi faḍlika
medicate the malady of my poverty with the remedy of Your favors,
utibu ugonjwa wa umaskini wangu kwa dawa ya neema zako,
وَانْعَشْ صَرْعَةَ عَيْلَتِنْ بِطَوْلِكَ
Wānʿash ṣarʿata ʿaylatin biṭawlika
refresh my dead dearth with Your conferrals,
uniburudishe njaa yangu iliyokufa pamoja na washirika wako,
وَ تَصَدَّقْ عَلَى اِقْلَالِى بِكَثْرَةٍ عَطَآئِكَ
Wa taṣaddaq ʿalā iqlāliā bikathratin ʿaṭaʾāʾika
give as alms to my scarcity Your profuse gifts,
toa sadaka kwa uhaba wangu karama zako nyingi,
وَ عَلَى اخْتِلالِى بِكَرِيْمِ حِبَائِكَ
Wa ʿalā akhtilāliā bikarīmi ḥibāʾika
and give to my shortage Yonr generous grants.
na nipe uhaba wangu ruzuku za ukarimu wa Yonr.
وَ سَهَلْ رَبَّ سَبِيْلَ الرِّزْقِ إِلَىَّ
Wa sahal rabba sabīla ar-rizqi ʾilā
O my Lord, pave the way of sustenance towards me,
Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi niandalie njia ya riziki.
وَ ثَبَّتْ قَوَاعِدَهُ لَدَىًّ
Wa thabbat qawāʿidahu ladā
strengthen its foundations with me,
uimarishe misingi yake pamoja nami,
وَ بَجَسْ لِى عُيُوْنَ سَعَتِهِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
Wa bajas liā ʿuyūna saʿatihi biraḥmatika
make the fountains of Your expansive mercy to gush out for me,
fanya chemchemi za rehema zako nyingi zimiminike kwa ajili yangu,
وَ فَجِّرْ اَنْهَارَ رَغَدِ الْعَيْشِ قِبَلِىْ بِرَافَتِكَ
Wa fajjir anhāra raghadi al-ʿayshi qibaliā birāfatika
make the rivers of opulent living to flow before me, out of Your clemency,
uifanyie mito ya uhai tele mbele yangu, kwa rehema zako,
وَاَجْدِبْ اَرْضَ فَقْرِىْ
Wājdib arḍa faqriā
cause the land of my poverty to be barren,
kuifanya nchi ya umaskini wangu kuwa tasa,
وَاَخْصِبْ جَدْبَ ضُرِّىْ
Wākhṣib jadba ḍurriā
fertilize my barren harsh paucity,
rutubisha upungufu wangu mbaya tasa,
وَاضرِفْ عَنِّىْ فِي الرِّزْقِ الْعَوَائِقَ
Wāḍrif ʿanniā fī ar-rizqi al-ʿawāʾiqa
hold off all obstacles against gaining my sustenance,
zuia vikwazo vyote dhidi ya kupata riziki yangu,
وَاقْطَع عَنَّى مِنَ الضَّيْقِ الْعَلَائِقَ
Wāqṭaʿ ʿannā mina aḍ-ḍayqi al-ʿalāʾiqa
and cut off any relationship between destitution and me.
na kukata uhusiano wowote kati ya ufukara na mimi.
وَازْمِنِن مِنْ سَعَةِ الرِّزْقِ اللَّهُمَّ بِاخْصَبِ سِهَامِهِ
Wāzminin min saʿati ar-rizqi Allāhumma biākhṣabi sihāmihi
O Allah, target at me the most productive arrows of opulent sustenance
Ee Mwenyezi Mungu, nielekee mishale yenye tija zaidi ya riziki ya fadhila
وَاخْبُنِى مِنْ رَغَدِ الْعَيْشِ بِآكْثَرِ دَوَامِهِ
Wākhbuniā min raghadi al-ʿayshi biʾākthari dawāmihi
and endow me with the most perpetual affluent living.
na unijaalie maisha yenye ukwasi wa kudumu.
وَاكْسُنِن اللّهُمَ سَرَابِيْلَ السَّعَةِ وَ جَلَابِيْبَ الدَّعَةِ
Wāksunin Allāhumma sarābīla as-saʿati wa jalābība ad-daʿati
O Allah, equip me with the shirts of opulence and garments of comfort,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu nijaalie mashati ya anasa na vazi la faraja.
فَاِنَّن يَا رَبٌّ مُنْتَظِرٌ لإِنْعَامِكَ بِحَذْفِ الضَّيْقِ
Fānnan yā rabbun muntaẓirun lʾinʿāmika biḥadhfi aḍ-ḍayqi
for, O my Lord, l expect You to do me the favor of removing my distress,
Kwani, Mola wangu Mlezi, ninakutarajia unifanyie wema wa kuniondolea dhiki yangu.
وَلِتَطَوُلِكَ بِقَطْعِ التَّعوِيْقِ،
Walitaṭawulika biqaṭʿi at-taʿwīqi,
to bestow upon me with the grace of cutting off the impediment, to endue me with the errand of eliminating my impoverishment,
kunipa neema ya kukata kizuizi, kunipa kazi ya kuondoa umaskini wangu.
وَ لِتَفَضُّلِكَ بِإزَالَةِ التَّقْتِيْرِ
Wa litafaḍḍulika biʾzālati at-taqtīri
and to confer upon me with connecting my cord to Your
na kunikabidhi kwa kuunganisha kamba yangu Kwako
وَ لِوُصُوْلِ حَبْلِى بِكَرَمِكَ بِالتَّيْسِيْرِ
Wa liwuṣūli ḥabliā bikaramika biālttaysīri
generosity through facilitation of my affairs.
ukarimu kupitia kuwezesha mambo yangu.
وَ اَمْطِرِ اللّهُمَّ عَلَىَّ سَمَآءَ رِزْقِكَ بِسِجَالِ الدَّيَمِ
Wa amṭiri Allāhumma ʿalā samaʾāʾa rizqika bisijāli ad-dayami
O Allah, make the sky of Your sustenance shower me with
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, nijaalie mbingu ya riziki Yako
وَاَغْنِنِى عَنْ خَلْقِكَ بِعَوَائِدِ النَّعَمِ
Wāghniniā ʿan khalqika biʿawāʾidi an-naʿami
large quantities of the water of Your heavy clouds,
wingi wa maji ya mawingu yako mazito,
وَازمِ مَقَاتِلَ الإِقْتَارِ مِنَّى
Wāzmi maqātila al-ʾiqtāri minnā
make me too rich to need Your creatures through Your repetitive conferrals of favors, throw deadly shots at the vulnerable spots of my financial deprivation,
nifanye niwe tajiri sana ili niweze kuhitaji viumbe Wako kupitia ufadhili Wako unaorudiwa-rudiwa, piga risasi za mauti kwenye maeneo hatarishi ya uhaba wangu wa kifedha,
وَاحْمِلْ كَشْفَ الضِّرِّ عَنِّىْ
Wāḥmil kashfa aḍ-ḍirri ʿanniā
carry the ridding of my misfortune on behalf of me
kubeba kuondoa msiba wangu kwa niaba yangu
عَلَى مَطَايَا الْإِعْجَالِ
ʿalā maṭāyā al-ʾiʿjāli
on the quickest riding animals,
juu ya wanyama wanaoendesha haraka zaidi,
وَاضْرِبْ عَنَّى الضَّيْقَ بِسَيْفِ الْإِسْتِيْصَالِ
Wāḍrib ʿannā aḍ-ḍayqa bisayfi al-ʾistīṣāli
and strike my distress, on behalf of me, with the exterminating sword
na upige taabu yangu, kwa niaba yangu, kwa upanga wa kuangamiza
وَأَثْجِفْنِى رَبِّ مِثْكَ بِسِعَةِ الْإِفْضَالِ
Waʾathjifniā rabbi mithka bisiʿati al-ʾifḍāli
O my Lord, present me withexpansive favoring,
Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi nijaalie kwa neema kubwa.
وَامْدُدْنِى بِنُمُوِّ الْاَمْوَالِ
Wāmdudniā binumuwwi al-āmwāli
supply me withevergrowing properties,
nipe mali zinazoendelea kukua,
وَاخْرُسْنِىْ مِنْ ضِيْقِ الْإِقْلَالِ
Wākhrusniā min ḍīqi al-ʾiqlāli
safeguard me against the distress of paucity,
unilinde dhidi ya dhiki ya uhaba,
وَاقْبِض عَنَّن سُوَّءَ الْجَذْبِ
Wāqbiḍ ʿannan suwwaʾa al-jadhbi
grasp against me the evil of aridity,
ushike juu yangu ubaya wa ukame,
وَابْسُط لِن بِسَاطَ الْخِصبِ
Wābsuṭ lin bisāṭa al-khiṣbi
extend before me the carpet of fruitfulness,
nikunjulie zulia la kuzaa,
وَ اسْقِنِى مِنْ مَآءِ رِزْقِكَ غَدَقًا
Wa asqiniā min maʾāʾi rizqika ghadaqan
serve me with copious dosages of the water of Your sustenance,
nihudumie kwa wingi wa maji ya riziki Yako.
وَ انْهَجْ لِى مِنْ عَمِيْمِ بَذْلِكَ طُرُقَا
Wa anhaj liā min ʿamīmi badhlika ṭuruqā
pave before me many paths of Your massive abdications,
tengeneza mbele yangu njia nyingi za machukizo Yako makubwa,
وَ فَاجِئْنِىْ بِالثَّرْوَةِ وَالْمَالِ
Wa fājiʾniā biālttharwati wālmāli
surprise me with wealth and money
nishangaze kwa mali na pesa
وَانْعَشنِى بِهِ مِنَ الْإِقْلَالِ
Wānʿashniā bihi mina al-ʾiqlāli
through which You may refresh me from scarcity,
upate kuniburudisha na uhaba.
وَ صَبَّحْنِن بِالْإِسْتِظْهَارِ
Wa ṣabbaḥnin biālʾistiẓhāri
start my mornings with solvency,
anza asubuhi yangu na utulivu,
وَ مَسَّنِىْ بِالتَّمَكُّنِ مِنَ الْيَسَارِ
Wa massaniā biālttamakkuni mina al-yasāri
and start my evenings with ability to meet my liabilities.
na kuanza jioni yangu na uwezo wa kukidhi dhima yangu.
إِنَّكَ ذُوْ الطَّوْلِ الْعَظِيمِ
ʾinnaka dhū aṭ-ṭawli al-ʿaẓīmi
Verily, You are the Lord of great bestowal,
Hakika wewe ni Mola Mlezi wa fadhila kubwa.
وَالْفَضْلِ الْعَمِيْمِ
Wālfaḍli al-ʿamīmi
massive favoring,
upendeleo mkubwa,
وَالْمَنَّ الْجَسِيْمِ
Wālmanna al-jasīmi
and plentiful conferral,
na utoaji mwingi,
وَ أَنْتَ الْجَوَادُ الْكَرِيْمُ.
Wa ʾanta al-jawādu al-karīmu.
and You are the All-magnanimous and All-generous.
na Wewe ndiye Mtukufu na Mkarimu.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّى اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ مُلِمَاتٍ نَوَازِلِ الْبَلَاءِ
Allāhumma innā aʿūdhu bika min mulimātin nawāzili al-balāʾi
O Allah, I pray Your protection against the striking mishaps of tribulation
Ee Mwenyezi Mungu, nakuomba ulinzi wako dhidi ya maafa makubwa ya dhiki
وَاَهْوَالِ عَظَائِمِ الضَّرَّآءِ
Wāhwāli ʿaẓāʾimi aḍ-ḍarraʾāʾi
and the horrors of the unbearable adversities.
na vitisho vya shida zisizovumilika.
فَاَعِذْنِىٰ رَبِّ مِنْ صَرْعَةِ الْبَاْسَاءِ
Fāʿidhniā rabbi min ṣarʿati al-bāsāʾi
So, O my Lord, protect me against the blows of affliction,
Basi, Mola wangu Mlezi, nilinde na mapigo ya mateso.
وَ اخْجُبْنِن مِنْ سَطَوَاتِ الْبَلَاءِ
Wa akhjubnin min saṭawāti al-balāʾi
veil me from the sways of ordeals,
nifunike kutoka kwa njia za majaribu,
وَ نَجِنِّى مِنْ مُفَاجَاةِ النَّقَمِ
Wa najinniā min mufājāti an-naqami
save me from the surprising punishments,
niokoe na adhabu za ajabu,
وَاَجِرْنِى مِنْ زَوَالِ النَّعَمِ
Wājirniā min zawāli an-naʿami
and shelter me against the removal of blessings
na kunilinda dhidi ya kuondolewa kwa baraka
وَ مِنْ زَلَل الْقَدَمِ
Wa min zalal al-qadami
and the slipping of steps.
na kuteleza kwa hatua.
وَاجْعَلْنِى اللَّهُمَّ فِي حِيَاطَةٍ عِزَّكَ
Wājʿalniā Allāhumma fī ḥiyāṭatin ʿizzaka
O Allah, make me inside the fence of Your almightiness
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, nijaalie ndani ya uzio wa uweza wako
وَ حِفَاظِ حِرْزِكَ
Wa ḥifāẓi ḥirzika
and the barrier of Your haven
na kizuizi cha bandari Yako
مِنْ مُبَاغَتَةِ الدَّوَائِرِ
Min mubāghatati ad-dawāʾiri
against unexpected overtaking of calamities
dhidi ya maafa yasiyotarajiwa
وَ مُعَاجَلَةِ الْبَوَادِرِ
Wa muʿājalati al-bawādiri
and against the swift sudden misfortunes.
na dhidi ya maafa ya ghafla.
اَللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ وَ اَرْضَ الْبَلَاءِ فَاخْسِفُهَا
Allāhumma rabba wa arḍa al-balāʾi fākhsifuhā
O Allah, O my Lord, (please) cause the lands of ordeals to sink down,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, Mola wangu Mlezi, zimiminishe ardhi zenye mitihani.
وَعَرْصَةَ الْمِحَنِ فَارْجُفْهَا
Waʿarṣata al-miḥani fārjufhā
cause the yards of crises to quake,
kusababisha yadi za migogoro kutetemeka,
وَ شَمْسَ النَّوَائِبِ فَاكْسِفْهَا
Wa shamsa an-nawāʾibi fāksifhā
cast a shadow on the sun of misfortunes,
weka kivuli kwenye jua la misiba,
وَ جِبَالَ السُّوْءِ فَاتْسِفْهَا
Wa jibāla as-sūʾi fātsifhā
uproot the mountains of evil,
ng'oa milima ya uovu,
وَ كُرَبَ الدَّهْرِ فَاكْشِفْهَا،
Wa kuraba ad-dahri fākshifhā,
remove the vicissitudes of times,
ondoa mabadiliko ya nyakati,
وَ عَوَائِقَ الْأُمُوْرِ فَاضْرِفْهَا
Wa ʿawāʾiqa al-ʾumūri fāḍrifhā
and drive back the obstacles in all affairs.
na kurudisha nyuma vikwazo katika mambo yote.
وَ أَوْرِدْنِى حِيَاضَ السَّلَامَةِ
Wa ʾawridniā ḥiyāḍa as-salāmati
(Please) take me to the ponds of safety,
(Tafadhali) nipeleke kwenye mabwawa ya usalama,
وَاحْمِلْنِى عَلَى مَطَايَا الْكَرَامَةِ
Wāḥmilniā ʿalā maṭāyā al-karāmati
carry me on the riding animals of honor,
nibebe juu ya wanyama wa heshima,
وَاضحَبْنِى بِاِقَالَةِ الْعَثْرَةِ
Wāḍḥabniā biāqālati al-ʿathrati
make Your excuse of my slips to be my companion,
fanya udhuru Wako wa michirizi yangu kuwa mwenzangu,
وَاشمَلْنِى بِسَثْرِ الْعَوْرَةِ
Wāshmalniā bisathri al-ʿawrati
and include me with Your covering of my defects.
na nijumuishe pamoja na kifuniko Chako cha mapungufu yangu.
وَ جُذْ عَلَىَّ يَا رَبِّ بِالاَئِكَ
Wa judh ʿalā yā rabbi biālāʾika
O my Lord, grant me liberally Your elegances,
Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi, nipe ukarimu uzuri wako.
وَ كَشْفِ بَلَائِكَ
Wa kashfi balāʾika
Your removal of my tribulations,
Kuondoa kwako dhiki zangu,
وَ دَفْعٍ ضَرَّآئِكَ
Wa dafʿin ḍarraʾāʾika
and Your fending off of my adversities.
na kujilinda Kwako na dhiki zangu.
وَادْفَعْ عَنِّىْ كَلَاكِلَ عَذَابِكَ
Wādfaʿ ʿanniā kalākila ʿadhābika
(Please) ward off from me the thoraxes of Your chastisement,
(Tafadhali) niepushe na mashimo ya adhabu yako.
وَاضرِفْ عَنَّىّ اَلِيْمَ عِقَابِكَ
Wāḍrif ʿannā al-yma ʿiqābika
repel from me Your painful punishment,
niondolee adhabu yako chungu.
وَاَعِذْنِى مِنْ بَوَائِقِ الدُّهُوْرِ
Wāʿidhniā min bawāʾiqi ad-duhūri
safeguard me from the ups and downs of days,
unilinde na heka heka za siku,
وَاَنْقِذْنِى مِنْ سُوَّءِ عَوَاقِبِ الْأُمُوْرِ
Wānqidhniā min suwwaʾi ʿawāqibi al-ʾumūri
rescue me from the evil end results of affairs,
uniokoe kutokana na matokeo mabaya ya mambo,
وَاخْرُسْنِىْ مِنْ جَمِيْعِ الْمَخْذُوْرِ
Wākhrusniā min jamīʿi al-makhdhūri
guard me against all anticipated matters,
nilinde dhidi ya mambo yote yanayotarajiwa,
وَاضدَعْ صَفَاةَ الْبَلَآءِ عَنْ آَمْرِىْ
Wāḍdaʿ ṣafāta al-balaʾāʾi ʿan āmriā
split the rock of tribulation in my affairs,
pasua mwamba wa dhiki katika mambo yangu,
وَاشلَلْ يَدَهُ عَنَّى مَدْى عُمْرِيْ
Wāshlal yadahu ʿannā madā ʿumrī
and paralyze its hand lest it reaches me as long as I am alive.
na kuupooza mkono wake usije kunifikia maadamu niko hai.
إِنَّكَ الرَّبُّ الْمَجِيْدُ
ʾinnaka ar-rabbu al-majīdu
Verily, You are the All-glorious lord Who originates, reproduces,
Hakika Wewe ndiye Mola Mlezi, Mtukufu ambaye ndiye anayeanzisha na mwenye kuzaa.
الْمُبْدِئُ المُعِيْدُ
Al-mubdiʾu al-muʿīdu
and does whatever He wants.
na hufanya apendavyo.
الْفَعَالَ لِمَا تُرِيْدُ.
Al-faʿāla limā turīdu.
O Allah, I have come to You with the integrity of a sincere
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, nimekujia na uadilifu wa mkweli
اَللّهُمّ اِنَّى قَصَدْتُ اِلَيْكَ بِاِخْلَاص تَوْبَةِ نَصُوْحٍ
Allāhumma innā qaṣadtu al-yka biākhlāṣ tawbati naṣūḥin
repentance,
toba,
وَ تَثْبِيْتِ عَقْدٍ صَحِيْحٍ
Wa tathbīti ʿaqdin ṣaḥīḥin
the confirmation of a valid determination,
uthibitisho wa uamuzi halali,
وَ دُعَاءِ قَلْبٍ قَرِيْحٍ
Wa duʿāʾi qalbin qarīḥin
the prayer of a limpid heart,
maombi ya moyo mlegevu,
وَ اِعْلَانِ قَوْلٍ صَرِيْحِ
Wa iʿlāni qawlin ṣarīḥi
and the declaration of a clear-cut statement.
na tamko la kauli iliyo wazi.
اَللهُمَّ فَتَقَبَّلْ مِنَّى مُخْلَص التَّوْبَةِ
Allāhumma fataqabbal minnā mukhlaṣ at-tawbati
So, O Allah, accept from me the sincere repentance of me,
Basi, Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, nikubalie toba ya kweli.
وَ اِقْبَالَ سَرِيْعِ الْأَوْبَةِ
Wa iqbāla sarīʿi al-ʾawbati
the approaching of my swift turning to You,
kukaribia kwa kugeuka kwangu kwa haraka kwako,
وَ مَصَارِعَ تَخَشُّعِ الْحَوْبَةِ
Wa maṣāriʿa takhasshuʿi al-ḥawbati
and the deadly blows of my fear of Your punishment.
na mapigo ya kuua ya kuogopa kwangu adhabu Yako.
وَقَابِلْ رَبٌّ تَوْبَتِى بِجَزِيْلِ الثَّوَابِ
Waqābil rabbun tawbatiā bijazīli ath-thawābi
O my Lord, meet my repentance with abundant reward,
Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi nikutane na toba yangu kwa malipo mengi.
وَ كَرِيْمِ الْمَابِ
Wa karīmi al-mābi
generous final return,
kurudi kwa ukarimu wa mwisho,
وَ حَطَّ الْعِقَابِ
Wa ḥaṭṭa al-ʿiqābi
absolvement of castigation,
kufutwa kwa kutupwa,
وَصَرْفِ الْعَذَابِ
Waṣarfi al-ʿadhābi
warding off penalty,
kuzuia adhabu,
وَ غُنْمِ الْاِيَابِ
Wa ghunmi al-āyābi
winning of returning to You,
ushindi wa kurudi kwako,
وَ سِشْرِ الحِجَابِ
Wa sishri al-ḥijābi
and covering with screen [against sinningl.
na kufunika kwa skrini [dhidi ya sinningl.
وَامْحُ اللَّهُمَّ مَا ثَبَتَ مِنْ ذُنُوْبِىْ
Wāmḥu Allāhumma mā thabata min dhunūbiā
O Allah, erase my fixed sins,
Ee Mwenyezi Mungu, nifute dhambi zangu zilizowekwa.
وَاغْسِلْ بِقَبُوْلِهَا جَمِيْعَ عُيُوْبِىْ
Wāghsil biqabūlihā jamīʿa ʿuyūbiā
wash out all my defects by accepting my repentance,
Osha madhaifu yangu yote kwa kukubali toba yangu,
وَاجْعَلُهَا جَالِيَةً لِقَلْبِى
Wājʿaluhā jāliyatan liqalbiā
and make my repentance to polish my heart,
na uifanye toba yangu kuusafisha moyo wangu,
شَاخِصَةً لِبَصِيْرَةِ لبِّىْ
Shākhiṣatan libaṣīrati lbbiā
to diagnose the insight of my mind,
kugundua ufahamu wa akili yangu,
غَاسِلَةً لِدَرَنِىْ
Ghāsilatan lidaraniā
to rinse my filth,
kuosha uchafu wangu,
مُطَهَّرَةً لِنِجَاسَةٍ بَدَنِىْ
Muṭahharatan linijāsatin badaniā
to purify my bodily impurity,
kutakasa uchafu wa mwili wangu,
مُصَحَّحَةً فِيْهَا ضَمِيْرِيْ
Muṣaḥḥaḥatan fīhā ḍamīrī
to set aright my inner self,
kurekebisha utu wangu wa ndani,
عَاجِلَةً اِلَى الْوَفَآءِ بِهَا بَصِيْرَتِن،
ʿājilatan al-ā al-wafaʾāʾi bihā baṣīratin,
and to urge my insight to act upon it li.e. my repentance] immediately.
na kuuhimiza ufahamu wangu kuufanyia kazi li.e. toba yangu] mara moja.
وَاقْبَلْ يَا رَبِّ تَوْبَتِىْ
Wāqbal yā rabbi tawbatiā
O my Lord, admit my repentance,
Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi, nikubalie toba yangu.
فَاِنَّهَا تَصْدُرُ مِنْ اِخْلَاصِ نِيَّتِىْ
Fānnahā taṣduru min ikhlāṣi niyyatiā
because it emanates from my sincere intention
kwa sababu inatokana na nia yangu ya dhati
وَ مَخْضٍ مِنْ تَصْحِيْحِ بَصِيْرَتِىْ
Wa makhḍin min taṣḥīḥi baṣīratiā
and from the most accurate and purest form of my perception.
na kutoka kwa njia sahihi na safi kabisa ya mtazamo wangu.
وَاخْتِفَالَ فِى طَوِيَّتِىْ
Wākhtifāla fiā ṭawiyyatiā
It li.e. my repentance] also involves perfect determination of my inner self,
Ni li.e. toba yangu] pia inahusisha azimio kamili la utu wangu wa ndani,
وَاجْتِهَادٍ فِى نَقَاءِ سَرِيْرَتِىْ
Wājtihādin fiā naqāʾi sarīratiā
an attempt to keep my soul pure,
jaribio la kuweka roho yangu safi,
وَ تَثْبِيْتَ لإِنَابَتِىْ
Wa tathbīta lʾinābatiā
my firmness to turn to You in repentance,
uthabiti wangu wa kurejea Kwako kwa toba,
وَ مُسَارِعَةً اِلْى آَمْرِكَ بِطَاعَتِىْ
Wa musāriʿatan al-ā āmrika biṭāʿatiā
and my decision to run for obeying Your orders.
na uamuzi wangu wa kukimbia kwa ajili ya kutii amri zako.
وَاجْلَ اللَّهُمَّ بِالتَّوْبَةِ عَنَّى ظُلْمَةَ الْإِضْرَارِ
Wājla Allāhumma biālttawbati ʿannā ẓulmata al-ʾiḍrāri
O Allah, by means of my repentance, (please) drive away the darkness of insistence on sinning from me,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, kwa toba yangu, (tafadhali) niondolee giza la kusisitiza kunikosea.
وَامْحُ بِهَا مَا قَدَّمْتُهُ مِنَ الْاَوْزَارِ
Wāmḥu bihā mā qaddamtuhu mina al-āwzāri
erase my burdensome sins that | have committed,
ufute dhambi zangu nzito ambazo | wamejitolea,
وَاكْسُنِى لِبَاسَ التَّقْوْى
Wāksuniā libāsa at-taqwā
and dress me the clothing of piety
na nivike mavazi ya uchamungu
وَ جَلَا بِيْبَ الْهُذْى
Wa jalā bība al-hudhā
and the garments of true guidance,
na nguo za uwongofu.
فَقَدْ خَلَفْتُ رِبْقَ الْمَعَاصِىْ عَنْ جَلَدِىْ
Faqad khalaftu ribqa al-maʿāṣiā ʿan jaladiā
for | am determined to remove the rein of acts of disobedience to You from my neck
kwa | nimeazimia kuondoa hatamu ya matendo ya kuasi kutoka kwa shingo yangu
وَ نَزَعْتُ سِرْبَالَ الذَّنُوْبِ عَنْ جَسَدِىْ
Wa nazaʿtu sirbāla adh-dhanūbi ʿan jasadiā
and to strip the shirt of sinning of my body,
na kulivua shati la dhambi ya mwili wangu,
مُسْتَمْسِكًا رَبّ بِقُدْرَتِكَ
Mustamsikan rabb biqudratika
holding fast to Your omnipotence, O my Lord,
shikamana na uweza wako, ewe Mola wangu Mlezi.
مُسْتَعِيْنًا عَلَى نَفْسِىْ بِعِزَّتِكَ
Mustaʿīnan ʿalā nafsiā biʿizzatika
seeking Your help against myself by Your almightiness,
nikitafuta msaada wako dhidi yangu kwa uweza wako,
مُسْتَوْدِعًا تَوْبَتِىْ مِنَ النَّكْثِ بِخَفْرَتِكَ
Mustawdiʿan tawbatiā mina an-nakthi bikhafratika
entrusting with You my repentance from breaching my
kukukabidhi toba yangu nisivunje
مُغْتَصِمًا مِنَ الْخِذْلَانِ بِعِضِمَتِكَ
Mughtaṣiman mina al-khidhlāni biʿiḍimatika
covenant with You by Your protection of me, taking refuge in Your haven against that You may disappoint me,
agano na Wewe kwa ulinzi wako kwangu, na nikikimbilia kwenye kimbilio lako ili uniadhimishe.
مُقَارِنًا بِهِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِكَ
Muqārinan bihi lā ḥawla walā quwwata al-ā bika
believing that there is neither might nor power except with You.
kuamini kwamba hakuna nguvu wala uwezo ila kwa Wewe.
اَللّهُمَّ ازْزُقْنِى الْحَجِّ
Allāhumma azzuqniā al-ḥajji
O Allah, (please) grant me success to go on hajj pilgrimage, which You have imposed upon whoever is capable of going
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) nijaalie kuhiji kuhiji ambayo Umeifaradhisha kwa anayeweza kwenda.
الَّذِي افْتَرَضْتَهُ عَلَى مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيْلًا
Adh-dhī aftaraḍtahu ʿalā mani astaṭāʿa ʾilayhi sabīlan
on it,
juu yake,
وَاجْعَل لِى فِيْهِ هَادِيًا وَ اِلَيْهِ دَلِيْلَا
Wājʿal liā fīhi hādiyan wa al-yhi dalīlā
appoint for me in it a guide and a director to it,
uniwekee kiongozi ndani yake na kiongozi wake.
وَ قَرِّبْ لِىْ بُعْدَ الْمَسَالِكِ
Wa qarrib liā buʿda al-masāliki
make accessible for me the remote paths,
nifanyie ufikiaji wa njia za mbali,
وَ اَعِنِّى عَلَى تَأْدِيَةِ الْمَنَاسِكِ
Wa aʿinniā ʿalā taʾdiyati al-manāsiki
help me carry out its rituals,
nisaidie kutekeleza mila yake,
وَ حَرِّمْ بِإِحْرَامِى عَلَى النَّارِ جَسَدِىْ
Wa ḥarrim biʾiḥrāmiā ʿalā an-nāri jasadiā
prevent fire from consuming my body due to my entering into the state of ritual consecration,
kuzuia moto usiteketeze mwili wangu kwa sababu ya kuingia kwangu katika hali ya kuweka wakfu kiibada,
وَ زِدْ لِلسَّفَرِ قَوَتِىْ وَ جَلَدِىْ
Wa zid lilssafari qawatiā wa jaladiā
and increase my power and my endurance on my hajj journey.
na unizidishie nguvu na subira yangu katika safari yangu ya hijja.
وَارْزُقْنِى رَبِّ الْوُقُوْفَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ
Wārzuqniā rabbi al-wuqūfa bayna yadayka
O my Lord, grant me the opportunity to present myself in Your Presence
Ewe Mola wangu, nipe nafasi nijihudhurie Mbele Yako
وَالْاِقَاضَةَ اِلَيْكَ
Wālāqāḍata al-yka
and to hasten my steps to You
na kuharakisha hatua zangu Kwako
وَاَظْفِرْنِى بِالنُّجْحِ بِوَافِرِ الرِّبْحِ
Wāẓfirniā biālnnujḥi biwāfiri ar-ribḥi
and grant me success in obtaining abundant gain.
na unijalie kufaulu kupata faida tele.
وَاَضدِرْنِى رَبٌّ مِنْ مَوْقِفِ الْحَجِّ الْاَكْبَرِ
Wāḍdirniā rabbun min mawqifi al-ḥajji al-ākbari
My Lord, grant me opportunity to attach the situation of the grand hajj
Mola wangu Mlezi, nipe nafasi niambatanishe na hali ya hajj kuu
اِلْى مُزْدَلِفَةِ الْمَشعَرِ
Al-ā muzdalifati al-mashʿari
to Muzdalifah, the holy monument,
kwa Muzdalifah, mnara takatifu,
وَاجْعَلْهَا زُلْفَةً اِلَى رَحْمَتِكَ
Wājʿalhā zulfatan al-ā raḥmatika
deciding it to be a nearer step towards Your mercy
kuamua kuwa hatua ya karibu kuelekea rehema Yako
وَ طَرِيْقًا اِلَى جَنَّتِكَ
Wa ṭarīqan al-ā jannatika
and a path towards Your Paradise.
na njia ya kuelekea Peponi yako.
وَقِفْنِى مَوْقِفَ الْمَشْعَرِ الْحَرَامِ
Waqifniā mawqifa al-mashʿari al-ḥarāmi
Help me to stop at the situation of the Holy Monument
Nisaidie nisimame katika hali ya Mnara Mtakatifu
وَ مَقَامَ وُقُوْفِ الْاِحْرَامِ
Wa maqāma wuqūfi al-āḥrāmi
and the situation of the ritual consecration.
na hali ya kuwekwa wakfu kwa ibada.
وَاَهِلَّنِى لِتَأْدِيَةِ الْمَناسِكِ،
Wāhillaniā litaʾdiyati al-manāsiki,
Prepare me to carry out the rituals,
Nitayarishe kutekeleza mila,
وَنَخْرِ الهَذْى التَّوَامِكِ
Wanakhri al-hadhā at-tawāmiki
to immolate the offertory camels,
kuwachinja ngamia wa sadaka,
بِدَمِ يَتُجُ وَاوْدَاجٍ تَمُجّ
Bidami yatuju wāwdājin tamujj
causing their blood to gush forth and their throats to be cut off,
kusababisha damu yao kumwagika na kukatwa koo zao.
وَ اِرَاقَةِ الدِّمَاءِ الْمَسْفُوْحَةِ
Wa irāqati ad-dimāʾi al-masfūḥati
and make me shed the poured out blood (of these animals),
na kunifanya nimwage damu iliyomwagwa (ya wanyama hawa);
وَالْهَدَايَا الْمَذْبُوحَةِ
Wālhadāyā al-madhbūḥati
offer the slaughtered offertory animals,
toa sadaka ya wanyama waliochinjwa,
وَ فَرْى اَوْدَاجِهَا عَلَى مَا اَمَرْتَ
Wa farā awdājihā ʿalā mā amarta
cut off their throats as exactly as You have instructed,
ukakate koo zao kama ulivyowaagiza,
وَ التَنَفُّل بِهَا كَمَا وَسَمْتَ
Wa at-tanafful bihā kamā wasamta
and submit them as presents as exactly as You have prescribed.
na uwasilishe kama zawadi sawa na vile Ulivyoagiza.
وَاَحْضِرْنِى اللَّهُمَّ صَلْوةَ الْعِيْدِ
Wāḥḍirniā Allāhumma ṣalwta al-ʿīdi
O Allah, make me present myself at the Feast Prayer,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu nijaalie nijihudhurie katika Sala ya Sikukuu.
رَاجِيًا لِلْوَعْدِ
Rājiyan lilwaʿdi
hoping for what You have promised to give,
nikitumaini kile ulichoahidi kutoa,
خَائِفًا مِنَ الْوَعِيْدِ
Khāʾifan mina al-waʿīdi
fearful of what You have threatened Your punishment,
na khofu kwa yale uliyoahidi adhabu yako.
حَالِقًا شَعْرَ رَاسِىْ وَ مُقَصِّرًا
Ḥāliqan shaʿra rāsiā wa muqaṣṣiran
shaving or cutting short the hair of my head,
kunyoa au kukata nywele za kichwa changu,
وَ مُجْتَهِدًا فِىْ طَاعَتِكَ مُشَمَّرًا
Wa mujtahidan fiā ṭāʿatika mushammaran
exerting all efforts to obey You painstakingly,
wakijitahidi kukutii Wewe kwa bidii,
رَامِيًا لِلْجِمَارِ
Rāmiyan liljimāri
and throwing at the statues
na kutupa sanamu
بِسَبْعِ بَعْدَ سَبْعٍ مِنَ الْاَحْجَارِ
Bisabʿi baʿda sabʿin mina al-āḥjāri
seven pebbles after seven.
kokoto saba baada ya saba.
وَاَدْخِلْنِى اللَهْمَّ عَرْصَةً بَيْتِكَ وَ عَقْوَتِكَ
Wādkhilniā Allāhumma ʿarṣatan baytika wa ʿaqwatika
O Allah, make me to enter the court and the yard of Your house,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, niingize kwenye uwanja na uwanja wa nyumba yako.
وَ مَحَلَّ آَمْنِكَ وَ كَغْبَتِكَ
Wa maḥalla āmnika wa kaghbatika
the place of Your security, Your Ka'bah,
mahali pa usalama Wako, Ka'aba yako,
وَ مَسَاكِيْنِكَ وَ سُؤِّالِكَ وَ مَحَاوِيْجِكَ
Wa masākīnika wa suʾʾiālika wa maḥāwījika
and to give to the poor, the beggars, and the needy who ask from You.
na kuwapa masikini, ombaomba, na masikini wanaokuomba.
وَجُدْ عَلَىَّ اللَّهُمَّ بِوَافِرِ الْاَجْرِ
Wajud ʿalā Allāhumma biwāfiri al-ājri
O Allah, endue me generously with abundant reward
Ee Mwenyezi Mungu, nijaalie ukarimu ujira mwingi
مِنَ الْإِنْكِفَاءِ وَالنَّفْرِ
Mina al-ʾinkifāʾi wālnnafri
after my return and in my journey back.
baada ya kurudi kwangu na katika safari yangu ya kurudi.
وَاخْتِمِ اللَّهُمَّ مَنَاسِكَ حَجَّىْ
Wākhtimi Allāhumma manāsika ḥajjā
O Allah, seal my performance of the rituals of hajj
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, piga muhuri utekelezaji wangu wa ibada za hajj
وَانْقِضَاءِ عَجَّئْ
Wānqiḍāʾi ʿajjaʾ
and the termination of my cries with the statements of response to You
na kumalizika kwa kilio changu kwa kauli za kujibu Kwako
بِقَبُوْلٍ مِنْكَ لِىْ
Biqabūlin minka liā
with acceptance from You
kwa kukubalika kutoka Kwako
وَ رَافَةٍ مِنْكَ بِنْ
Wa rāfatin minka bin
and with clemency that You show me.
na kwa huruma unayonionyesha.
يَآ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ.
Yaʾā arḥama ar-rāḥimīna.
O most merciful of all those who show mercy!
Ewe mwenye kurehemu kuliko wote wanaorehemu!
اَللّهُم إِنَّ ظُلْمَ عِبَادِكَ قَدْ تَمَكّن فِنَ بلَابِ
Allāhumma ʾinna ẓulma ʿibādika qad tamakkn fina blābi
O Allah, the persecutions against Your servant have become so prevalent in Your lands
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, mateso dhidi ya mja wako yameenea sana katika ardhi yako
حَثَّى اَمَاتَ الْعَدْلَ
Ḥatthā amāta al-ʿadla
that it has put an end to justice,
kwamba imekomesha haki,
وَ قَطَعَ السُّبْل
Wa qaṭaʿa as-subl
interrupted all ways,
kukatika kwa njia zote,
وَ مَحَقَ الْحَقَّ
Wa maḥaqa al-ḥaqqa
eradicated the right,
iliondoa haki,
وَ أَبْطَلَ الصِّدْقَ
Wa ʾabṭala aṣ-ṣidqa
thwarted truthfulness,
kukataa ukweli,
وَاَخْفَى الْبِرَّ
Wākhfā al-birra
enshrouded charity,
sadaka iliyofunikwa,
وَاَظْهَرَ الشَّرَّ
Wāẓhara ash-sharra
demonstrated evil,
alionyesha uovu,
وَاَحْمَدَ التَّقْوْى
Wāḥmada at-taqwā
extinguished piety,
kuzima uchamungu,
وَاَزَالَ الْهُدْى
Wāzāla al-hudā
removed true guidance,
aliondoa mwongozo wa kweli,
وَ ازَاحَ الخَيْرَ
Wa azāḥa al-khayra
dislodged decency,
unyonge uliovunjwa,
وَ أَثْبَتَ الضَّيْرَ
Wa ʾathbata aḍ-ḍayra
Planted harm,
Kupanda madhara,
وَ انْمَى الْفَسَادَ
Wa anmā al-fasāda
promoted corruption,
kuhamasisha rushwa,
وَ قَوَّى الْعِنَادَ
Wa qawwā al-ʿināda
strengthened obstinacy,
ukaidi ulioimarishwa,
وَ بَسَطَ الجَوْرَ
Wa basaṭa al-jawra
spread out prejudice,
kueneza ubaguzi,
وَ عَدَى الطَّوْرَ
Wa ʿadā aṭ-ṭawra
and exceeded all bounds.
na kuvuka mipaka yote.
اَللّهُمَّ يَا رَبِّ لَا يَكْشِفُ ذلِكَ اِلا سلطانُك
Allāhumma yā rabbi lā yakshifu dhlika al-ā slṭānuk
O Allah! O my Lord, nothing can eliminate all that except Your authority
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu! Ewe Mola wangu, hakuna kinachoweza kuondoa yote hayo isipokuwa mamlaka Yako
وَ لَا يُجِيْرُ مِنْهُ اِلَّا امْتِنَانُكَ
Wa lā yujīru minhu al-ā amtinānuka
and nothing can deliver from it except Your obliging favors.
na hakuna kitakachoweza kuokoa humo ila fadhila Zako za faradhi.
اَللَهُمَّ رَبّ فَابْثُرِ الظَلْمَ
Allāhumma rabb fābthuri aẓ-ẓalma
O Allah! O my Lord, (please) mutilate persecution,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu! Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi, (tafadhali) ukemee mateso.
وَ بُثَّ جِبَالَ الْغَشْمِ
Wa buttha jibāla al-ghashmi
demolish the mountains of oppression,
bomoa milima ya udhalimu,
وَاَخْمِدْ سُوْقَ الْمُنْكَرِ
Wākhmid sūqa al-munkari
stagnate the business of evil,
kudumaza biashara ya uovu,
وَ اعِزّ مَنْ عَنْهُ يَنْزَ جِرْ
Wa aʿizz man ʿanhu yanza jir
grant victory to those who deter from it,
wape ushindi wale wanaojizuia.
وَاخصُدْ شَأْفَةَ اَهْلِ الجَوْرِ،
Wākhṣud shaʾfata ahli al-jawri,
harvest the roots of the people of prejudice,
vuna mizizi ya watu wa ubaguzi,
وَ اَلْبِسْهُمُ الْحَوْرَ بَعْدَ الْكَوْرِ
Wa al-bishumu al-ḥawra baʿda al-kawri
and attire them with shrinkage after escalation.
na wavike kwa kupungua baada ya kupanda.
وَ عَجَّلِ اللَهُمَّ اِلَيْهِمُ الْبَيَاتَ
Wa ʿajjali Allāhumma al-yhimu al-bayāta
O Allah, afflict them with inaction immediately,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu waadhibu kwa kutotenda mara moja.
وَ اَنْزِلْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَثُلَاتِ
Wa anzil ʿalayhimu al-mathulāti
send down on them exemplary punishments,
wateremshie adhabu za kupigiwa mfano.
وَآَمِثْ حَيْوةَ الْمُثْكَرِ
Waʾāmith ḥaywta al-muthkari
and put to death the life of wickedness
na kuua maisha ya uovu
لِيُؤْ مَنَ الْمَخُوْفُ
Liyuʾ mana al-makhūfu
so that the terrorized will be secured,
ili wale wanaotishwa wawe salama,
وَ يَسْكُنَ الْمَلْهُوْفُ
Wa yaskuna al-malhūfu
the terrified will calm down,
wenye hofu watatulia,
وَيَشْبَعَ الْجَائِعُ
Wayashbaʿa al-jāʾiʿu
the hungry will become full,
wenye njaa watashiba,
وَ يُخفَظَ الضَّائِعُ
Wa yukhfaẓa aḍ-ḍāʾiʿu
the lost will be guarded,
waliopotea watalindwa,
وَ يَاوَى الطَّرِيْدُ
Wa yāwā aṭ-ṭarīdu
the fugitive will find a place of settlement,
mkimbizi atapata mahali pa kukaa,
وَ يَعُوْدَ التَّرِيْدُ
Wa yaʿūda at-tarīdu
the escapee will return home,
aliyetoroka atarudi nyumbani,
وَ يُغْنَى الفَقِيْرُ
Wa yughnā al-faqīru
the poor will be satisfied,
maskini wataridhika,
وَ يُجَارَ الْمُسْتَجِيْرُ
Wa yujāra al-mustajīru
the refugee will be sheltered,
mkimbizi atalindwa,
وَ يُوَقَّرَ الْكَبِيْرُ
Wa yuwaqqara al-kabīru
the old will be respected,
wazee wataheshimiwa,
وَ يُرْحَمَ الصَّغِيْرُ
Wa yurḥama aṣ-ṣaghīru
the infants will be shown mercy,
watoto wachanga watahurumiwa,
وَ يُعَزَّ الْمَظْلُوْمُ
Wa yuʿazza al-maẓlūmu
the wronged will be treated fairly,
aliyedhulumiwa atatendewa haki,
وَ يُدَلّ الظَّالِمُ
Wa yudall aẓ-ẓālimu
the wrongdoers will be humiliated,
madhalimu watadhalilishwa.
وَ يُفَرَّجَ الْمَغْمُوْمُ
Wa yufarraja al-maghmūmu
the distressed will be relieved,
wenye dhiki watapumzika,
وَ تَنْفَرِجَ الْغَمَّآءُ
Wa tanfarija al-ghammaʾāʾu
the agonies will be driven away,
mateso yatafukuzwa,
وَ تَسْكُنُ الدَّهْمَاءُ
Wa taskunu ad-dahmāʾu
the populace will find rest,
watu watapata mapumziko,
وَ يَمُوتَ الْاِخْتِلَافُ
Wa yamūta al-ākhtilāfu
discrepancy will be wiped out,
utofauti utafutwa,
وَ يَغْلُوَ الْعِلْمُ
Wa yaghluwa al-ʿilmu
knowledge will be exalted,
maarifa yatatukuzwa,
وَ يَشمُلَ السَّلْمُ
Wa yashmula as-salmu
peace will be prevalent,
amani itakuwepo,
وَ يُجْمَعَ الشَّتَاتُ
Wa yujmaʿa ash-shatātu
dispersion will be amassed,
utawanyiko utakusanyika,
وَ يَقْوَى الْاِيْمَانُ
Wa yaqwā al-āymānu
faith will be strengthened,
imani itaimarishwa,
وَ يُثْلَى الْقُرْأْنُ
Wa yuthlā al-qurʾnu
and the Qur'an will be practically recited.
na Qur'ani itasomwa kivitendo.
اِنَّكَ آَنْتَ الدَّيَانُ الْمُنْعِمُ الْمَنَّانُ
Innaka ānta ad-dayānu al-munʿimu al-mannānu
Verily, You are the Master, the Munificent, and the Favorer.
Hakika Wewe ndiye Mola Mlezi, Mtukufu na Mwenye neema.
اَللّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ
Allāhumma laka al-ḥamdu
O Allah, all praise be to You
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, sifa zote ni Zako
عَلَى مَرَدَّ نَوَازِلِ الْبَلَآءِ
ʿalā maradda nawāzili al-balaʾāʾi
for driving away the imminent misfortunes
kwa kuyafukuza maafa yanayokuja
وَ مُلِمَّاتِ الضَّرَّاءِ
Wa mulimmāti aḍ-ḍarrāʾi
and the wrapping harms,
na madhara ya kufunga,
وَ كَشْفِ نَوَائِبِ اللأْوَآءِ
Wa kashfi nawāʾibi al-lʾwaʾāʾi
for relieving from the calamitous hardships,
kwa ajili ya kujiepusha na dhiki,
وَ تَوَالِىْ سُبُوْغِ النَّعْمَاءِ
Wa tawāliā subūghi an-naʿmāʾi
and for the succession of the profuse blessings.
na kwa mfululizo wa baraka nyingi.
وَالكَ الحَمْدُ عَلى هَنِيِّئِ عَطَائِكَ
Wālka al-ḥamdu ʿalā haniyyiʾi ʿaṭāʾika
All praise be to You for Your pleasant bestowals,
Sifa njema zote ni Zako kwa fadhila zako nzuri.
وَ مَخْمُوْدٍ بَلَائِكَ
Wa makhmūdin balāʾika
praiseworthy conferrals,
makabidhiano ya sifa,
وَ جَلِيْلِ اَلّا ئِكَ
Wa jalīli al-ā ʾika
and great boons.
na neema kubwa.
وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى اِحسَانِكَ الْكَثِيْرِ
Wa laka al-ḥamdu ʿalā iḥsānika al-kathīri
All praise be to You for Your very much benevolence,
Sifa njema zote ni Zako kwa wema wako mwingi,
وَ خَيْرِكَ الغَزِيْرِ
Wa khayrika al-ghazīri
torrential welfare,
ustawi wa mawimbi,
وَ تَكْلِيْفِكَ الْيَسِيْرِ
Wa taklīfika al-yasīri
and easy-to-do obligations
na majukumu rahisi kufanya
وَدَفْعِ الْعَسِيْرِ
Wadafʿi al-ʿasīri
and for Your driving away the difficulties.
na kwa ajili Yako kuyaondoa magumu.
وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ يَا رَبِّ
Wa laka al-ḥamdu yā rabbi
All praise be to You, O Lord,
Sifa zote ni Zako, Ee Bwana,
عَلَى تَثْمِيْرِكَ قَلِيْلَ الشُّكْرِ
ʿalā tathmīrika qalīla ash-shukri
for multiplying the little thanksgiving,
kwa kuzidisha shukrani kidogo,
وَ اِغْطَآئِكَ وَ افِرَ الْاَجْرِ
Wa ighṭaʾāʾika wa afira al-ājri
enduing with abundant rewards,
kuvumilia na thawabu nyingi.
وَ حَطَّكَ مُثْقَلَ الْوِزْرِ
Wa ḥaṭṭaka muthqala al-wizri
excusing the heavy burdens,
kusamehe mizigo mizito,
وَ قَبُوْلِكَ ضَيِّقَ الْعُذْرِ
Wa qabūlika ḍayyiqa al-ʿudhri
accepting the improper apologies,
kukubali msamaha usiofaa,
وَ وَضْعِكَ بَاهِضَ الْاِصْرِقَ
Wa waḍʿika bāhiḍa al-āṣriqa
lessening the exorbitant loads,
kupunguza mzigo mzito,
تَسْهِيْلِكَ مَوْضِعَ الْوَعْرِ
Tashīlika mawḍiʿa al-waʿri
making easy the difficult situations,
kurahisisha hali ngumu,
وَ مَنْعِكَ مُفْظِعَ الْأَمْرِ
Wa manʿika mufẓiʿa al-ʾamri
and dispelling the horrible matters.
na kuondoa mambo ya kutisha.
وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى الْبَلَاءِ الْمَضْرُوْفِ
Walaka al-ḥamdu ʿalā al-balāʾi al-maḍrūfi
All praise be to You for Your dispelling the misfortunes,
Sifa njema zote ni Zako kwa kuyaondosha maovu.
وَ وَافِرِ الْمَعْرُوْفِ
Wa wāfiri al-maʿrūfi
Your granting abundant charity,
Umepeana sadaka nyingi,
وَ دَفْعِ الْمَخُوْفِ
Wa dafʿi al-makhūfi
Your driving away the terrifying matters,
Unafukuza mambo ya kutisha,
وَ اِذْلَا لِ الْعَسُوْفِ
Wa idhlā li al-ʿasūfi
and Your facilitating the oppressive issues.
na kuwezesha Kwako masuala ya dhulma.
وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلى قِلَّةِ التَّكْلِيْفِ
Wa laka al-ḥamdu ʿalā qillati at-taklīfi
All praise be to You for the little mandates,
Sifa njema zote ni Zako kwa amri ndogo,
وَ كَثْرَةِ التَّخْفِيْفِ
Wa kathrati at-takhfīfi
the much alleviation,
kupunguza sana,
وَتَقْوِيَةِ الضَّعِيْفِ
Wataqwiyati aḍ-ḍaʿīfi
the strengthening of the feeble,
uimarishaji wa walio dhaifu,
وَ اِغاثَةِ اللَّهِيْفِ
Wa ighāthati al-lahīfi
and the assisting of the distressed.
na usaidizi wa wanyonge.
وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى سَعَةٍ اِمْهَالِكَ
Wa laka al-ḥamdu ʿalā saʿatin imhālika
All praise be to You for Your long-term respite,
Sifa njema zote ni Zako kwa muhula wako wa muda mrefu.
وَ دَوَامِ اِفْضالِكَ
Wa dawāmi ifḍālika
Your incessant favoring,
Upendeleo wako usiokoma,
وَ صَرْفِ اِمْحَالِكَ
Wa ṣarfi imḥālika
Your chasing off fruitlessness,
Kufukuza kwako kutokuwa na matunda,
وَ حَمِيْدٍ اَفْعَالِكَ
Wa ḥamīdin afʿālika
Your praiseworthy deeds,
Matendo yako yenye sifa,
وَ تَوَالِى نَوَالِكَ
Wa tawāliā nawālika
and Your continuous donations.
na michango yako endelevu.
وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلى تَأْخِيْرِ مُعَاجَلَةِ الْعِقَابِ
Walaka al-ḥamdu ʿalā taʾkhīri muʿājalati al-ʿiqābi
All praise be to You for putting off the looming punishment,
Sifa njema zote ni Zako kwa kuiahirisha adhabu inayokaribia.
وَ تَرْكِ مُغَافَصَةِ الْعَذَابِ
Wa tarki mughāfaṣati al-ʿadhābi
shunning sudden chastisement,
kuepuka adhabu ya ghafla,
وَ تَسْهِيْلٍ طَرِيْقِ الْمَاْبِ
Wa tashīlin ṭarīqi al-mābi
paving the way back to You,
kutengeneza njia ya kurudi kwako,
وَ اِنْزَالِ غَيْثِ السَّحَابِ
Wa inzāli ghaythi as-saḥābi
and sending down the rain of the clouds.
na imeteremsha mvua ya mawingu.
اِنَّكَ المَنَّانُ الْوَهَّابُ
Innaka al-mannānu al-wahhābu
Verily, You are the All-tender, the Alldonor.
Hakika Wewe ndiye Mfadhili, Mfadhili.
جَدِيْرٌ مَنْ آَمَرْتَهُ بِالدُّعَآءِ اَنْ يَدْعُوْكَ
Jadīrun man āmartahu biāldduʿaʾāʾi an yadʿūka
He whom You have ordered to pray You is worthily required to pray You
Yule Uliyemuamuru akuombee anatakiwa kukuombea
وَ مَنْ وَعَدْتَهُ بِالْإِجَابَةِ اَنْ يَرْجُوْكَ
Wa man waʿadtahu biālʾijābati an yarjūka
and he whom You have promised to respond to his prayers is worthily required to hope for Your response.
na yule ambaye Umemuahidi kujibu maombi yake anatakiwa kutumainia majibu Yako.
وَلِىَ اللَهُمَّ حَاجَةٌ
Waliā Allāhumma ḥājatun
O Allah, I have a request [that I need You to grant]
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, nina ombi [ninalohitaji Unipe]
قَدْ عَجَزَتْ عَنْهَا حِيْلَتِىْ
Qad ʿajazat ʿanhā ḥīlatiā
that l am too short to fulfill,
kwamba mimi ni mfupi sana kutimiza,
وَكَلَّتْ فِيْهَا طَاقَتِىْ
Wakallat fīhā ṭāqatiā
too powerless to do,
hana uwezo sana wa kufanya,
وَ ضَعْفَ عَنْ مَرَامِهَا قَوَّتِىْ
Wa ḍaʿfa ʿan marāmihā qawwatiā
and too weak to attain.
na dhaifu sana kufikia.
وَ سَوَلَتْ لِن نَفْسِيَ الْاَمَارَةُ بِالسُّوْءِ
Wa sawalat lin nafsiya al-āmāratu biālssūʾi
My soul that is prone to evil
Nafsi yangu ambayo inakabiliwa na maovu
وَ عَدُوِّى الْغَرُوْرُ الَّذِيَّ آَنَا مِنْهُ مَبْلُوْ
Wa ʿaduwwiā al-gharūru adh-dhiyya ānā minhu mablū
and my deceiving archenemy from whom l am suffering
na adui yangu mkuu mdanganyifu ambaye ninateseka kutoka kwake
اَنْ اَرْغَبَ اِلَيْكَ فِيْهَا،
An arghaba al-yka fīhā,
have beguiled me into shunning wishing for Your help in this request.
wamenidanganya katika kukwepa kutamani msaada Wako katika ombi hili.
اَللَّهُمّ وَانْجِحْهَا بِايْمَنِ اَلنَّجَاحِ
Allāhumma wānjiḥhā biāymani an-najāḥi
O Allah, so (please) grant my request the most blissful success,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, basi (tafadhali) nijaalie ombi langu lifanikiwe na neema kubwa zaidi.
وَاهْدِهَا سَبِيْلَ الْفَلَاحِ
Wāhdihā sabīla al-falāḥi
direct it towards the path of prosperity,
ielekeze kwenye njia ya mafanikio,
وَاشرَخ بِالرَّجَاءِ لِإِسْعَافِكَ صَدْرِىْ
Wāshrakh biālrrajāʾi liʾisʿāfika ṣadriā
expand my breast with hopeful petition for Your relief,
panua kifua changu kwa maombi yenye matumaini kwa ajili ya nafuu Yako,
وَ يَسِّرْ فِى اَسْبَابِ الْخَيْرِ آَمْرِيْ
Wa yassir fiā asbābi al-khayri āmrī
facilitate my affairs through the ways of welfare,
kuwezesha mambo yangu kupitia njia za ustawi,
وَ صَوِّرْ إِلَىَّ الْفَوْزَ بِبُلُوْغِ مَا رَجَوْتُهُ
Wa ṣawwir ʾilā al-fawza bibulūghi mā rajawtuhu
and establish for me triumph through making me attain what
na nifanyieni ushindi kwa kunifanya nipate nini
بِالْوُصُوْلِ إِلَى مَا آَمَلْتُهُ
Biālwuṣūli ʾilā mā āmaltuhu
I have hoped for and gain what I have wished for.
Nimetumaini na kupata kile nilichotamani.
وَ وَفَقْنِى اللَّهُمَّ فِي قَضَاءِ حَاجَتِىْ
Wa wafaqniā Allāhumma fī qaḍāʾi ḥājatiā
O Allah, (please) grant me access to the fulfillment of my requests
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) nipe uwezo wa kutimiza maombi yangu
بِبْلُوْغِ أُمْنِيَّتِى
Biblūghi ʾumniyyatiā
through attainment of my wish
kupitia kufikiwa kwa matakwa yangu
وَ تَصْدِيْقٍ رَغْبَتِىْ
Wa taṣdīqin raghbatiā
and achievement of my desire.
na kufanikiwa kwa hamu yangu.
وَاَعِذْنِى اللَّهُمَ بِكَرَمِكَ مِنَ الْخَيْبَةِ وَالْقُنُوْطِ
Wāʿidhniā Allāhumma bikaramika mina al-khaybati wālqunūṭi
O Allah, in the name of Your Nobility, (please) protect me against disappointment, despair,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, kwa jina la Utukufu wako, (tafadhali) nilinde dhidi ya kukata tamaa na kukata tamaa.
وَالْاَنَاةِ وَالتَّثْبِيْطِ
Wālānāti wālttathbīṭi
despondency, and frustration.
kukata tamaa, na kufadhaika.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّكَ مَلِيءً بِالْمَنَائِحِ الْجَزِيْلَةِ
Allāhumma innaka malīʾan biālmanāʾiḥi al-jazīlati
O Allah, You are full of plentiful gifts,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, wewe ni mwingi wa zawadi.
وَفِىُّ بِهَا
Wafiā bihā
You are true to Your words,
Wewe ni mwaminifu kwa maneno yako,
وَ أَنْتَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَءِ قَدِيْرٌ
Wa ʾanta ʿalā kulli shaʾi qadīrun
You have power over all things,
Wewe una uwezo juu ya kila kitu,
بِعِبَادِكَ خَبِيْرٌ بَصِيْرٌ.
Biʿibādika khabīrun baṣīrun.
and You know and regard all of Your servants.
na Wewe unawajua na kuwaheshimu waja wako wote.
