صَلَوَاتٌ عَلَى اِمَامِ مُوْسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ
Salawat Upon Imam Musa Ibn Ja'far
Salawat Kwa Imam Musa Ibn Ja'far
اَللّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى الْأَمِيْنِ الْمُؤْتَمَنِ
Allāhumma ṣalla ʿalā al-ʾamīni al-muʾtamani
O Allah, (please) send blessings upon the honest and trusted
Ee Mwenyezi Mungu, mteremshie rehema mwaminifu na anayeaminika
مُؤْسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ
Muʾsā bni jaʿfarin
Musa the son of Ja'far,
Musa mwana wa Ja'far,
اِلبَرِّ الوَفِيِّ
Al-barri al-wafiyyi
the dutiful, the faithful,
mwema na mtimizaji (wa ahadi),
الطَّاهِرِ الزَّكِيِّ
Aṭ-ṭāhiri az-zakiyyi
the pure, the bright,
mtakasifu na aliyetakata,
النُّوْرِ الْمُبِيْنِ [الْمُنِيْرِ]
An-nūri al-mubīni almunīri
the clear light,
nuru iliyo wazi [ing'arayo],
الْمُجْتَهِدِ الْمُحْتَسِبِ
Al-mujtahidi al-muḥtasibi
the striver, the seeker of Your rewards,
mwenye jitihada, mtafuta malipo (Yako),
الضَّابِرِ عَلَى الْاَذْى فِيْكَ
Aḍ-ḍābiri ʿalā al-ādhā fīka
and the bearer of harm for Your sake.
na mvumilivu wa maudhi kwa ajili Yako.
اَللَّهُمّ وَ كَمَا بَلَّغَ عَنْ اَبَآئِهِ
Allāhumma wa kamā ballagha ʿan abaʾāʾihi
O Allah, as he conveyed on the authority of his fathers
Ee Mwenyezi Mungu, kama alivyofikisha kutoka kwa baba zake
مَا اسْتُوْدِعَ مِنْ آَمْرِكَ وَ نَهْيِكَ
Mā astūdiʿa min āmrika wa nahyika
all Your orders and prohibitions that were deposited with him,
yale aliyokabidhiwa katika amri Zako na makatazo Yako,
وَ حَمَلَ عَلَى الْمَحَجَةِ
Wa ḥamala ʿalā al-maḥajati
directed (people) to the clear course,
na akaongoza (watu) kwenye njia iliyo wazi,
وَ كَابَدَ آَهلَ الْعِزَّةِ وَ الشَّدَّةِ
Wa kābada āhla al-ʿizzati wa ash-shaddati
and had to encounter the people of authority and persecution
na akastahimili watu wa nguvu na ukandamizaji
فِيْمَا كَانَ يَلْقَى مِنْ جُهَالِ قَوْمِهِ
Fīmā kāna yalqā min juhāli qawmihi
while he was facing troubles from the ignorant people,
katika yale aliyoyapata kutoka kwa wajinga wa kaumu yake,
رَبَّ فَصَلَّ عَلَيْهِ
Rabba faṣalla ʿalayhi
so, O Lord, bless him
basi, Ee Mola, mteremshie rehema
اَفْضَلَ وَ اَكْمَلَ
Afḍala wa akmala
with the most favorite and most perfect blessings
(rehema) zilizo bora na kamilifu zaidi
مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آَحَدٍ
Mā ṣallayta ʿalā āḥadin
that You have ever conferred upon any one
kuliko ulizomteremshia yeyote
مِمَّنْ اَطَاعَكَ وَ نَصَحَ لِعِبَادِكَ
Mimman aṭāʿaka wa naṣaḥa liʿibādika
who obeyed You and wished well for Your servants.
miongoni mwa waliokutii na wakawatakia kheri waja Wako.
اِنَّكَ غَفُوْرٌ رَحِيْمٌ.
Innaka ghafūrun raḥīmun.
You are verily All-forgiving, All-merciful.
Hakika Wewe ni Mwingi wa kusamehe, Mwingi wa kurehemu.
