Instructions
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى وَلِيِّكَ
O Allah, bless Your vicegerent
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, mbariki Khalifa wako
وَ ابْنِ اَوْلِيَآئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ فَرَضْتَ طَاعَتَهُمْ
Wa abni awliyaʾāʾika adh-dhīna faraḍta ṭāʿatahum
and the son of Your vicegerents the obedience to whom You have made incumbent upon us,
na mwana wa Khalifa wako ambao umefaradhisha utiifu wao juu yetu,
وَ اَوْجَبْتَ حَقَّهُمْ
Wa awjabta ḥaqqahum
the observance of whose right You have made obligatory,
na ambao umewajibisha haki yao,
وَ اَذْهَبْتَ عَنْهُمُ الرِّجْسَ
Wa adhhabta ʿanhumu ar-rijsa
from whom You have removed filth,
ambao umeondoa uchafu kutoka kwao,
وَ طَهَرْتَهُمْ تَظهِيْرًا
Wa ṭahartahum taẓhīran
and whom You have purified with thorough purifying.
na ukawatakasa kwa utakaso kamili.
اَللَّهُمَّ انْصُرْهُ وَ انْتَصِرْ بِهِ لِدِيْنِكَ
Allāhumma anṣurhu wa antaṣir bihi lidīnika
O Allah, give him victory and make him the supporter of Your religion
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, mpe ushindi na umfanye msaidizi wa dini Yako
وَ انْصُرْ بِهِ اَوْلِيَاءَكَ وَ اَوْلِيَآءَهُ
Wa anṣur bihi awliyāʾaka wa awliyaʾāʾahu
and through him, give victory to Your and his adherents,
na kupitia yeye, wape ushindi wafuasi Wako na wafuasi wake,
وَ شِيْعَتَهُ وَ اَنْصَارَهُ
Wa shīʿatahu wa anṣārahu
followers, and backers,
mashia wake na wasaidizi wake,
وَ اجْعَلْنَا مِنْهُمْ
Wa ajʿalnā minhum
and include us with them.
na utujumuishe pamoja nao.
اَللّهُمَّ اعِذهُ مِنْ شرَّ كلَّ باغ وطغ
Allāhumma aʿidhhu min shrra klla bāgh wṭgh
O Allah, protect him against the evil of every transgressor and tyrant
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, mlinde dhidi ya shari ya kila dhalimu na mtawala katili
وَ مِنْ شَرِّ جَمِيْعِ خَلْقِكَ
Wa min sharri jamīʿi khalqika
and against the evils of all Your creatures.
na dhidi ya shari ya viumbe Vyako vyote.
وَ احفَظُهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ
Wa aḥfaẓuhu min bayni yadayhi wa min khalfihi
Guard him from ahead of him, behind him,
Mlinde mbele yake, nyuma yake,
وَ عَنْ يَمِيْنِهِ وَ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ
Wa ʿan yamīnihi wa ʿan shimālihi
his right side, and his left side.
kulia kwake, na kushoto kwake.
وَ اخرُسْهُ وَ امْنَعَهُ آَنْ يُوْصَلَ اِلَيْهِ بِسُوَّءِ
Wa akhrushu wa amnaʿahu ān yūṣala al-yhi bisuwwaʾi
Watch him and defend him against anything that may cause evil to him.
Muangalie na umkinge dhidi ya jambo lolote linaloweza kumsababishia ubaya.
وَ اخفَظْ فِيْهِ رَسُوْلَكَ وَ اَلَ رَسُوْلِكَ
Wa akhfaẓ fīhi rasūlaka wa ala rasūlika
Save through him Your Messenger and the family of Your Messenger.
Mhifadhi kupitia yeye Mtume Wako na Aali ya Mtume Wako.
وَ اَظْهِرْ بِهِ الْعَدْلَ
Wa aẓhir bihi al-ʿadla
Manifest justice through him.
Dhihirisha uadilifu kupitia yeye.
وَ أَيِّدْهُ بِالنَّصْرِ
Wa ʾayyidhu biālnnaṣri
Aid him with victory.
Msaidie kwa ushindi.
وَ انْصُرْ نَاصِرِيْهِ
Wa anṣur nāṣirīhi
Help his backers.
Wasaidie wasaidizi wake.
وَ اخْذُلْ خَاذِلِيْهِ
Wa akhdhul khādhilīhi
Frustrate those who intend to disappoint him.
Wadhalilishe wale wanaokusudia kumkataa.
وَ اقْصِمْ بِهِ جَبَابِرَةَ الْكُفْرِ
Wa aqṣim bihi jabābirata al-kufri
And, through him, terminate the tyrants of unbelief,
Na, kupitia yeye, maliza madhalimu wa ukafiri,
وَ اقْثُلْ بِهِ الْكُفَّارَ وَ الْمُنَافِقِيْنَ
Wa aqthul bihi al-kuffāra wa al-munāfiqīna
kill the disbelievers, hypocrites,
uwaangamize kupitia yeye makafiri, wanafiki,
وَ جَمِيْعَ الْمُلْحِدِيْنَ
Wa jamīʿa al-mulḥidīna
and all atheists,
na wakanushaji wote wa Mungu,
حَيْثُ كَانُوا مِنْ مَشَارِقِ الْاَرْضِ وَ مَغَارِبِهَا
Ḥaythu kānūā min mashāriqi al-ārḍi wa maghāribihā
wherever they are; in the east or the west of the earth,
popote walipo; mashariki au magharibi mwa ardhi,
وَ بَرِّهَا وَ بَخْرِهَا
Wa barrihā wa bakhrihā
on the lands or in the oceans,
nchi kavu au baharini,
وَ امْلَا بِهِ الْاَرْضَ عَدْلًا
Wa amlā bihi al-ārḍa ʿadlan
and, through him, fill in the earth with justice,
na, kupitia yeye, ijae ardhi kwa uadilifu,
وَاَظْهِرْ بِهِ دِيْنَ نَبِيِّكَ
Wāẓhir bihi dīna nabiyyika
manifest the religion of Your Prophet,
dhihirisha dini ya Mtume Wako,
عَلَيْهِ وَ الِهِ السَّلَامُ
ʿalayhi wa al-hi as-salāmu
peace be upon him and his Household,
amani iwe juu yake na Aali yake,
وَ اجْعَلْنِي اللَّهُمَّ مِنْ اَنْصَارِهِ وَ آَعْوَانِهِ
Wa ajʿalnī Allāhumma min anṣārihi wa āʿwānihi
make me, O Allah, of his supporters, helpers,
unijaalie, Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, miongoni mwa wasaidizi wake, watetezi wake,
وَ اَثْبَاعِهِ وَ شِيْعَتِهِ
Wa athbāʿihi wa shīʿatihi
followers, and adherents,
wafuasi wake na mashia wake,
وَاَرِنِيْ فِيْ أَلِ مُحَمَّدٍ مَا يَأْمُلُوْنَ
Wārinī fī ʾali muḥammadin mā yaʾmulūna
allow me to see what the family of Muhammad hope come true
uniruhusu nione kile ambacho Aali ya Muhammad wanatumaini kitimie
وَ فِيْ عَدُوِّهِمْ مَا يَحْذَرُوْنَ
Wa fī ʿaduwwihim mā yaḥdharūna
and what their enemies anticipate come true.
na kile ambacho maadui zao wanahofia kitimie.
اِلْهَ الْحَقُّ أَمِيْنَ.
Al-ha al-ḥaqqu ʾamīna.
O God of Truth, respond.
Ewe Mungu wa Kweli, jibu maombi yangu.
