MANNERS OF CARRYING THE DEAD PERSON
TABIA ZA KUBEBA MAREHEMU
In his book entitled Misbah al-Mutahajjid, Shaykh al-Tusi says:
Katika kitabu chake kiitwacho Misbah al-Mutahajjid, Shaykh al-Tusi anasema:
It is recommended to carry a coffin from the four sides,
Inashauriwa kubeba jeneza kutoka pande nne,
beginning with the right side of the hand, the right side of the
kuanzia upande wa kulia wa mkono, upande wa kulia wa
leg, the left side of the leg, and ending with the left side of
mguu, upande wa kushoto wa mguu, na kumalizia na upande wa kushoto wa
the hand. Thus should the four sides of a coffin be carried.
mkono. Hivyo pande nne za jeneza zinapaswa kubebwa.
Hence, the bearer should turn around a coftin just like the
