مروي عن الأئمة المعصومين عليهم السلام في كتب الأدعية المعتبرة.
Sayyid Ibn Tawus says: When you intend to leave the holy sanctuary of Imam al-Mahdi ('a), you may return to the sublime vault and offer as many prayers as you wish therein. You may then stand up, turn your face towards the kiblah direction, and say this supplicatory prayer: O Allah, defend Your vicegerent... etc. You may then pray Almighty Allah as much as you can and leave with happiness, Allah willing. As for Shaykh al-Tusi, he, in his book of Misbah al-Mutahajjid, reported this supplicatory prayer from Imam al-Rida ('a) within the rites on Fridays. Hereinafter, I will record this supplicatory prayer according to the narration of Shaykh al-Tusi, who said: It is narrated from Yunus ibn 'Abd al-Rahman that Imam 'Ali ibn Musa al-Rida, peace be upon him, used to order his companions and adherents to say the following supplicatory prayer for sake of Imam al-Mahdi. Besides, it is strongly recommended to say it after the ziyarah of Imam al-Mahdi, peace be upon him. The supplicatory prayer is as follows:
Sayyid Ibn Tawus anasema: Unapokusudia kuondoka katika patakatifu pa Imam al-Mahdi ('a), unaweza kurudi kwenye kuba tukufu na kutoa sala nyingi kadri unavyotaka humo. Kisha unaweza kusimama, kuelekeza uso wako kuelekea kibla, na kusema maombi haya: Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, mlinde mrithi wako... n.k. Kisha unaweza kumwomba Mwenyezi Mungu kadri uwezavyo na kuondoka kwa furaha, Mwenyezi Mungu akipenda. Kuhusu Shaykh al-Tusi, yeye, katika kitabu chake cha Misbah al-Mutahajjid, aliripoti maombi haya kutoka kwa Imam al-Rida ('a) ndani ya mila za Ijumaa. Hapa chini, nitaandika maombi haya kulingana na simulizi ya Shaykh al-Tusi, aliyesema: Imesimuliwa kutoka kwa Yunus ibn 'Abd al-Rahman kwamba Imam 'Ali ibn Musa al-Rida, amani iwe juu yake, alikuwa akiwaamuru masahaba wake na wafuasi wake kusema maombi yafuatayo kwa ajili ya Imam al-Mahdi. Licha ya hayo, inashauriwa sana kuyasema baada ya ziara ya Imam al-Mahdi, amani iwe juu yake. Maombi hayo ni kama ifuatavyo:
اَللّهُمَّ اذفَعْ عَنْ ولِيِّكَ
Allāhumma-d‘fa‘ ‘an waliyyika,
O Allah, (please do) defend Your vicegerent,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, (tafadhali) mlinde Khalifa Wako,
وَخَلِيْفَتِكَ، وَحُجَّتِكَ عَلَى خَلْقِكَ
Wa khalīfatika, wa ḥujjatika ‘alā khalqika,
representative, decisive argument against Your creatures,
mwakilishi, hoja Yako thabiti dhidi ya viumbe vyako,
وَلِسَانِكَ المُعَبِّرِ عَنْكَ
Wa lisānika-l-mu‘abbiri ‘anka,
and mouthpiece who speaks on behalf of You
na msemaji anayenena kwa niaba Yako
اَلنَّاطِق بِحِكْمَتِكَ،
An-nāṭiq bi-ḥikmatika,
and speaks with Your wisdom,
na anayenena kwa hekima Yako,
وَعَيْنِكَ النَّاظِرَةِ بِاذْنِكَ،
Wa ‘aynika-n-nāẓirati bi-idhnika,
Your eye that sees with Your permission,
jicho Lako linaloona kwa idhini Yako,
وَشَاهِدِكَ عَلَى عِبَادِكَ،
Wa shāhidika ‘alā ‘ibādika,
Your witness on Your servants,
na shahidi Wako kwa waja Wako,
الْجَحْجَاحِ الْمُجَاهِدِ،
Al-jaḥjāḥi-l-mujāhidi,
the magnanimous master, the striver (for the sake of Allah),
bwana mkarimu, mpiganaji (kwa ajili ya Mwenyezi Mungu),
الْعَائِذِ بِكَ الْعَابِدِ عِنْدَكَ.
Al-‘ā’idhi bika-l-‘ābidi ‘indaka.
the seeker of Your shelter, and the full worshipper in Your measures.
mtaka hifadhi Kwako, na mja kamili katika makadirio Yako.
وَاَعِذْهُ مِنْ شَرِّ جَمِيْعِ مَا خَلَقْتَ وَبَرَاتَ،
Wa a‘idhhū min sharri jamī‘i mā khalaqta wa bara’ta,
Keep him safe from the evils of all that which You created, originated,
Mhifadhi kutokana na shari ya yote Uliyoyaumba, Uliyoyaasisi,
وَاَنْشَأْتَ وَصَوَّرْتَ،
Wa ansha’ta wa ṣawwarta.
established, and formed.
Uliyoyaweka imara, na Uliyoyafinyanga.
وَاخْفَظُهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلَفِهِ،
Wa-ḥfaẓhu min bayni yadayhi wa min khalfihī,
And protect him from the sides of his front, his back,
Na umlinde kutoka mbele yake na kutoka nyuma yake,
وَعَنْ يَمِيْنِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ،
Wa ‘an yamīnihī wa ‘an shimālihī,
his right, his left,
na kutoka kulia kwake na kutoka kushoto kwake,
وَمِنْ فَوْقِهِ وَمِنْ تَحْتِهِ
Wa min fawqihī wa min taḥtihī,
above him, and beneath him,
na kutoka juu yake na kutoka chini yake,
بِحِفْظِكَ الَّذِيْ لَا يَضِيعُ مَنْ حَفِظْتَهُ بِهِ،
Bi-ḥifẓika-lladhī lā yaḍī‘u man ḥafiẓtahu bihī,
with Your safety that preserves from any loss.
kwa ulinzi Wako ambao haupotezi yeyote uliyemlinda kwa huo,
وَاحفَظُ فِيْهِ رَسُوْلَكَ وَابَآءَهُ،
Wa-ḥfaẓ fīhi rasūlaka wa ābā’ahu,
And safeguard through him Your Messenger and his fathers;
Na kupitia yeye mlinde Mtume Wako na mababa zake;
اَئِمَّتَكَ وَدَعَائِمَ دِيْنِكَ.
A’immataka wa da‘ā’ima dīnika.
the Imams appointed by You and the pillars of Your religion.
Maimamu Wako uliowateua na nguzo za dini Yako.
وَاجْعَلَهُ فِيْ وَدِيْعَتِكَ الَّتِيْ لَا تَصِيْعُ،
Wa-j‘alhu fī wadī‘atika-llatī lā taḍī‘u,
And place him in Your deposit that is never lost,
Na umweke katika amana Yako isiyopotea kamwe,
وَفِيْ جِوَارِكَ الَذِيْ لَا يُخْفَرُ،
Wa fī jiwārika-lladhī lā yukhafaru,
in Your vicinity that is never violated,
katika ujirani Wako usiovunjwa kamwe,
وَفِيْ مَنْعِكَ وَعِزَّكَ الَذِيْ لَا يُقْهَرُ،
Wa fī man‘ika wa ‘izzika-lladhī lā yuqharu,
and in Your protection and almightiness that are never defeated.
na katika ulinzi Wako na utukufu Wako usioshindwa kamwe.
وَأمِتْهُ بِآمَانِكَ الْوَثِيقِ،
Wa ammithu bi-amānika-l-wathīqi,
And secure him by Your well-firmed security,
Na umlinde kwa usalama Wako imara,
الَّذِيْ لَا يُخْذَلُ مَنْ أمَثْتَهُ بِهِ،
Alladhī lā yukhdhalu man amma‘tahu bihī,
that does not forsake whoever takes asylum in it.
ambao hauachi yeyote anayetafuta hifadhi ndani yake.
وَاجْعَلَهُ فِيْ كَنَفِكَ
Wa-j‘alhu fī kanafika,
And make him under Your protection
Na umfanye awe chini ya ulinzi Wako
الَذِيْ لَا يُرَامُ مَنْ كَانَ فِيْهِ،
Alladhī lā yurāmu man kāna fīhi,
that saves whoever is put under it from any harm.
unaookoa yeyote anayewekwa chini yake kutoka madhara yoyote.
وَانْصُرْهُ بِنَصْرِكَ العَزِيْزِ،
Wa-nṣurhu bi-naṣrika-l-‘azīzi,
Grant him Your insuperable victory,
Mpe ushindi Wako usioshindwa,
وَآَيِّدْهُ بِجْنْدِكَ الْغَالِبِ،
Wa ayyidhu bi-jundika-l-ghālibi,
aid him with Your overcoming troops,
mzidishie msaada kwa majeshi Yako yashindayo,
وَقَوِّهِ بِقُوَّتِكَ،
Wa qawwihī bi-quwwatika,
strengthen him with Your strength,
na umtie nguvu kwa uwezo Wako,
وَاَرْدِفْهُ بِمَلَائِكَتِكَ،
Wa ardifhu bi-malā’ikatika,
put Your angels at his disposal,
na umwekee malaika Wako aweze kuwatumia,
وَوَال مَنْ وَالاهُ،
Wa wāli man wālāhu,
support whoever supports him,
na umtunze anayemtunza,
وَعَADِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،
Wa ‘ādi man ‘ādāhu,
be the enemy of whoever opposes him,
na uwe adui wa anayemwudhi,
وَالْبِسْهُ دِرْعَكَ الْحَصِيْئَةَ،
Wa albis-hu dir‘aka-l-ḥaṣī’ata,
dress him Your fortified armor,
na umvike ngao Yako yenye nguvu,
وَحُفَّهُ بِالْمَلَائِكَةِ حَفًّا.
Wa ḥuffahu bi-l-malā’ikati ḥaffā.
and make the angels surround him totally.
na uwafanye malaika wamzunguke kabisa.
اَللَهُمَّ اشعَبْ بِهِ الصَّدْعَ،
Allāhumma-sh‘ab bihi-ṣ-ṣad‘a,
O Allah, through him patch up the differences of opinion,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, kupitia yeye, unganisha tofauti za maoni,
وَارْثُقْ بِهِ الفَثْقَ،
Wārthuq bihi al-fathqa,
bring into order confusion,
panga upya machafuko,
وَاَمِثْ بِهِ الْجَوْرَ،
Wāmith bihi al-jawra,
eradicate oppression,
uangamize dhuluma,
وَاَظْهِرْ بِهِ الْعَدْلَ،
Wa aẓhir bihi-l-‘adla,
manifest justice,
udhihirishe haki,
وَزَيِّنْ بِطُوْل بَقَائِهِ الْاَرْضَ،
Wa zayyin bi-ṭūli baqā’ihī-l-arḍa,
adorn the earth by a lengthy life for him,
ipambe dunia kwa uhai mrefu kwake,
وَاَيِّذْهُ بِالنَّصْرِ،
Wa ayyidhu bi-n-naṣri,
support him with victory,
umsaidie kwa ushindi,
وَانْصُرْهُ بِالرُّعْبِ،
Wa-nṣurhu bi-r-ru‘bi,
grant him triumph by means of horror,
umpe ushindi kwa njia ya hofu,
وَقَوِّ نَاصِرِيْهِ،
Wa qawwi nāṣirīhi,
reinforce his supporters,
watie nguvu wafuasi wake,
وَاخْذُل خَاذِلِيْهِ،
Wa-khdhul khādhilīhi,
thwart his disappointers,
wafedheheshe waliomwacha,
وَدَمْدِمْ مَنْ نَصَبَ لَهُ،
Wa damdim man naṣaba lahu,
crush those who lay traps for him,
wachape wale waliomtegea mitego,
وَدَمِّرْ مَنْ غَشَّهُ.
Wadammir man ghasshahu.
destroy those who cheat him,
na uwaharibu wale wanaomdanganya.
وَاقْتُلْ بِهِ جَبَابِرَةَ الْكُفْرِ، وَعَمَدَهُ وَدَعَائِمَهُ،
Wa-qtul bihi jabābirata-l-kufri, wa ‘amadahu wa da‘ā’imahu,
kill the tyrants, pillars, and supports of infidelity at his hands,
Na kwa mikono yake uwaua madhalimu, nguzo, na vihimili vya ukafiri,
وَاقْصِمُ بِهِ رُؤُوْسَ الضَّلَالَةِ وَشَارِعَةَ الْبِدَعِ،
Wa-qṣim bihi ru’ūsa-ḍ-ḍalālati wa shāri‘ata-l-bida‘i,
uproot the heads of deviation, the innovators of heresies,
na kwa yeye uvunjavunje viongozi wa upotevu, waanzilishi wa uzushi,
وَمُمِيْتَةَ السُّنَّةِ، وَمُقَوِّيَةَ الْبَاطِلِ،
Wa mumītata-s-sunnati, wa muqawwiyata-l-bāṭili,
the eradicators of the Prophetic traditions, and the backers of wrong,
na wauaji wa Sunnah, na waunge mkono ubatili,
وَذَلَّلْ بِهِ الْجَبَّارِيْنَ،
Wa dhallil bihi-l-jabbārīna,
humiliate the haughty tyrants,
na kwa yeye wadhalilishe madhalimu wenye kiburi,
وَآَبِزْ بِهِ الْكَافِرِيْنَ وَجَمِيْعَ الْمُلْحِدِيْنَ،
Wa abiz bihi-l-kāfirīna wa jamī‘a-l-mulḥidīna,
terminate the infidels and all atheists
na kwa yeye wamalize makafiri na waasi wote,
فِيْ مَشَارِقِ الْاَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبِهَا،
Fī mashāriqi-l-arḍi wa maghāribihā,
wherever they are-in the east or the west of the earth
popote walipo – mashariki au magharibi mwa dunia,
وَبَرِّهَا وَبَحْرِهَا،
Wa barrihā wa baḥrihā,
or in lands or oceans,
au katika nchi kavu au bahari,
وَسَهْلِهَا وَجَبَلِهَا،
Wa sahlihā wa jabaliha,
or in plains or on mountains,
au katika nyanda au milima,
حَثّى لاتَدَعَ مِنْهُمْ دَيَّارًا،
Ḥattā lā tada‘a minhum dayyārā,
until You will not leave a single one of them
mpaka Usiache hata mmoja wao,
وَلَا تُبْقِيَ لَهُمْ أَثارًا.
Wa lā tubqiya lahum āthārā.
and You will not leave a single trace of them.
na Usiache alama yoyote yao.
اَللَّهُمَّ طَهِّرْ مِنْهُمْ بِلَادَكَ،
Allāhumma ṭahhir minhum bilādaka,
O Allah, clear up Your lands from them,
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, zitakase nchi Zako kutoka kwao,
وَاشْفِ مِنْهُمْ عِبَادَكَ،
Wa-shfi minhum ‘ibādaka,
heal your servants' hearts from them,
ponya nyoyo za waja Wako kutokana nao,
وَاَعِزَّ بِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ،
Wa a‘izz bihi-l-mu’minīna,
consolidate the faithful believers through him,
na kupitia yeye, waheshimishe waumini,
وَاَخِي بِهِ سُنَنَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ،
Wa aḥyi bihi sunana-l-mursalīna,
revive the norms of the Messengers
na kupitia yeye, fufua mila za Mitume,
وَدَارِسَ حُكْمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ،
Wa dārisa ḥukmi-n-nabiyyīna,
and the obliterated rules of the Prophets,
na hukumu zilizofutika za Manabii,
وَجَدَّدْ بِهِ مَا امْتَحَى مِنْ دِيْنِكَ،
Wa jaddid bihi mā imtaḥā min dīnika,
and renew the signs of Your religion that were erased
na kupitia yeye, fanya upya yaliyofutika katika dini Yako,
وَبُدَّلَ مِنْ حُكْمِكَ،
Wa buddila min ḥukmika,
and Your Judgements that were distorted;
na hukumu Zako zilizopotoshwa;
حَثَّى تُعِيْدَ دِيْنَكَ بِهِ، وَعَلَى يَدَيْهِ جَدِيْدًا
Ḥattā tu‘īda dīnaka bihī, wa ‘alā yadayhi jadīdā,
until you rekindle Your religion through him and at his hands as well-defined,
hata Urudishe dini Yako kupitia yeye na kwa mikono yake ikiwa mpya,
غَضًّا مَخضًا صَحِيْحًا،
Ghaḍḍan makhḍan ṣaḥīḥan,
pure, and sound as it is,
safi, na thabiti kama ilivyo,
لَا عِوَجَ فِيْهِ، وَلَا بِدْعَةَ مَعَهُ،
Lā ‘iwaja fīhi, wa lā bid‘ata ma‘ahu,
free from loopholes and heresies,
bila mapungufu na bila uzushi,
وَحَثّى تُنِيْرَ بِعَدْلِهِ ظُلَمَ الْجَوْرِ،
Wa ḥattā tunīra bi-‘adlihī ẓulama-l-jawri,
and until You illumine the murk of unfairness by means of his justice,
na hata Umulike giza la dhuluma kwa uadilifu wake,
وَتُظْفِئَ بِهِ نِيْرَانَ الْكُفْرِ
Wa tuṭfi’a bihi nīrāna-l-kufri,
extinguish the fires of atheism though him,
na kwa yeye, uzime moto wa ukafiri,
وَتُوْضِحَ بِهِ مَعَاقِدَ الْحَقُّ
Wa tūḍiḥa bihi ma‘āqida-l-ḥaqqi,
and elucidate the positions of truth
na kwa yeye, ufafanue sehemu za kweli
وَمَجْهُوْلَ الْعَدْلِ.
Wa majhūla-l-‘adli.
and the justice that will have been unknown.
na uadilifu ambao ulikuwa haujulikani.
فَاِنَّهُ عَبْدُكَ الَّذِيْ اسْتَخْلَضْتَهُ لِنَفْسِكَ،
Fa-innahu ‘abduka-lladhī-stakhlaṣtahu li-nafsika,
He is verily Your servant whom You have saved for Yourself,
Hakika yeye ni mja Wako uliyemhifadhi kwa ajili Yako mwenyewe,
وَاضطَفَيْتَهُ عَلْى غَيْبِكَ،
Wa-ḍṭafaytahu ‘alā ghaybika,
chosen for keeping the unseen matters of You,
ukamchagua kwa ajili ya kuhifadhi mambo Yako yasiyoonekana,
وَعَصَمْتَهُ مِنَ الذَّّنُوْبِ،
Wa ‘aṣamtahu mina-dh-dhunūbi,
protected against sins,
ukamkinga na dhambi,
وَبَرَآتَهُ مِنَ العُيُوْبِ،
Wa bara’tahu mina-l-‘uyūbi,
cleaned from any defect,
ukamtakasa na kasoro yoyote,
وَطَهَّرْتَهُ مِنَ الرِّجْسِ،
Wa ṭahhartahu mina-r-rijsi,
purified from filth,
ukamtakasa na uchafu,
وَسَلَّمْتَهُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ.
Wasallamtahu mina ad-danasi.
and kept sound against dirt.
na ukamhifadhi dhidi ya unajisi.
اَللّهُمَّ فَإِنَّا نَشْهَدُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ،
Allāhumma fa-innā nashhadu lahu yawma-l-qiyāmati,
O Allah, we will verily testify to him on the Day of Resurrection
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, hakika sisi tutamshuhudia Yeye Siku ya Kiyama,
وَيَوْمَ حُلُولِ الطَّامَةِ،
Wa yawma ḥulūli-ṭ-ṭāmati,
and on the day when the overwhelming event comes
na Siku itakapofika tukio kuu,
أَنَّهُ لَمْ يُذْنِبْ ذَنْبَا
Annahu lam yudhnib dhanbā,
that he did not commit any single sin,
kwamba hakufanya dhambi yoyote,
وَلَا اَتَى حُوْبًا،
Wa lā atā ḥūbā,
nor did he practice any unlawful thing,
wala hakutenda jambo lolote haramu,
وَلَمْ يَرْتَكِبْ مَعْصِيَةً،
Wa lam yartakib ma‘ṣiyatan,
nor did he do any act of disobedience (to You),
wala hakufanya tendo lolote la uasi (Kwako),
وَلَمْ يُضَيِّع لَكَ طَاعَةً،
Wa lam yuḍayyi‘ laka ṭā‘atan,
nor did he miss any act of obedience (to You),
wala hakukosa tendo lolote la utii (Kwako),
وَلَمْ يَهْتِكْ لَكَ حُرْمَةٌ،
Wa lam yahtik laka ḥurmatan,
nor did he violate any inviolable thing,
wala hakuvunja jambo lolote lisilovunjwa,
وَلَمْ يُبَدَّل لَكَ فَرِيْضَةً،
Wa lam yubaddil laka farīḍatan,
nor did he distort any precept,
wala hakupotosha amri yoyote,
وَلَمْ يُغَيِّرْ لَكَ شَرِيْعَةً،
Wa lam yughayyir laka sharī‘atan,
nor did he change any law.
wala hakubadilisha sheria yoyote.
وَانَهُ الْهَادِى الْمُهْتَدِيْ
Wa innahu-l-hādī-l-muhtadī,
And, moreover, he is verily the guiding, the rightly guided,
Na zaidi ya hayo, yeye ndiye mwenye kuongoza, aliyeongoka,
الطَّاهِرُ التَّقِيُّ
Aṭ-ṭāhiru-t-taqiyyū,
the pure, the pious,
aliyemtakasika, mcha Mungu,
النَّقِيُّ الرَّضِيُّ الزَّكِيّ.
An-naqiyyū-r-raḍiyyū-z-zakiyy.
the immaculate, the approved, and the bright.
aliyeboreshwa, mwenye kuridhisha, na aliyemwangavu.
اَللّهُمَّ اَعْطِهِ فِيْ نَفْسِهِ
Allāhumma a‘ṭihī fī nafsihī,
O Allah, give him what he wishes regarding his own self
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, mpe kile anachotaka kuhusu nafsi yake,
وَاَهْلِهِ، وَوَلَدِهِ
Wa ahlihī, wa waladihī,
his family, his sons,
familia yake, watoto wake,
وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ، وَأُمَّتِهِ
Wa dhurriyyatihi, wa ummatihī,
his offspring, his nation,
watoto wake, umma wake,
وَجَمِيْعِ رَعِيَّتِهِ،
Wa jamī‘i ra‘iyyatihī,
and all of his subjects
na raia wake wote,
مَا تُقِرُّ بِهِ عَيْنَهُ،
Mā tuqirru bihī ‘aynuhu,
in such a way that makes him delighted
kwa namna ambayo itamfurahisha
وَتَسُرُّ بِهِ نَفْسَهُ،
Wa tasurru bihī nafsahu,
and pleased in himself,
na kumridhisha nafsi yake,
وَتَجْمَعَ لَهُ مُلْكَ الْمُمْلَكَاتِ كُلِّهَا،
Wa tajma‘a lahu mulka-l-mumlakāti kullihā,
and makes You put under his sphere of influence all kingdoms;
na Umfanye awe na ushawishi juu ya falme zote;
قَرِيْبِهَا وَبَعِيْدِهَا،
Qarībihā wa ba‘īdihā,
the near and the remote,
zilizo karibu na zilizo mbali,
وَعَزِيْزِهَا وَذَلِيْلِهَا،
Wa ‘azīzihā wa dhalīlihā,
and the powerful and the weak
na zenye nguvu na dhaifu,
حَتّى تُجْرِيَ حُكْمُهُ عَلَى كُلِّ حُكْمٍ،
Ḥattā tujriya ḥukmuhu ‘alā kulli ḥukmin,
so that You will cause his rule to prevail over every rule
ili Utakavyo amri yake itawale juu ya kila amri,
وَتَغْلِبَ بِحَقَّهِ عَلَي كُلِّ بَاطِلٍ.
Wa taghliba bi-ḥaqqihi ‘alā kulli bāṭilin.
and his right (issue) to overcome the entire wrongness.
na haki yake ishinde batili yote.
اَللَهُمَّ اسلُّكُ بِنَا عَلَى يَدَيْهِ
Allāhumma asluk binā ‘alā yadayhi,
O Allah, lead us at his hands
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, tuongoze kwa mikono yake
مِنْهَاجَ الْهُدْى،
Minhāja-l-hudā,
to the course of guidance,
kwenye njia ya uongozi,
وَالْمَحَجَةَ الْعُظْمُى،
Wa-l-maḥajjata-l-‘uẓmā,
the greatest Path,
na Njia kuu,
وَالطَّرِيْقَةَ الْوُسْطى،
Wa-ṭ-ṭarīqata-l-wusṭā,
and the equitable way of life
na njia ya kati na adili ya maisha
الَتِيْ يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهَا الْغَالِي،
Allatī yarji‘u ilayhā-l-ghālī,
to which those who had gone too far will come back (repentant)
ambayo wale waliozidi mipaka watarejea (kwa toba)
وَيَلْحَقُ بِهَا التَّالِي،
Wa yalḥaqu bihā-t-tālī,
and those who had fallen down will catch up.
na wale walioanguka watafikia.
وَقَوِّنَا عَلَى طَاعَتِهِ،
Wa qawwinā ‘alā ṭā‘atihī,
And (please) encourage us to carry out acts of obedience to him,
Na (tafadhali) tutie moyo kufanya matendo ya kumtii yeye,
وَثَبَثْنَا عَلَى مُشَايَعَتِهِ،
Wa thabbitnā ‘alā mushāya‘atihī,
make us stand firmly in following him,
tufanye tusimame imara katika kumfuata yeye,
وَامْنُنْ عَلَيْنَا بِمُتَابَعَتِهِ،
Wa-mnun ‘alaynā bi-mutāba‘atihī,
endue us with the favor of adherence to him,
na utuneema sisi kwa neema ya kumfuata yeye,
وَاجْعَلْنَا فِي جِزْبِهِ الْقَوَامِيْنَ بِأمْرِهِ،
Wa-j‘alnā fī ḥizbihī-l-qawwāmīna bi-amrihī,
and include us with his group who achieve his commands,
na utujumuishe katika kundi lake wanaotekeleza amri zake,
الضَّابِرِيْنَ مَعَهُ،
Aṣ-ṣābirīna ma‘ahu,
act steadfastly towards him,
wanofanya kwa uthabiti kwake,
الطَّالِبِيْنَ رِضَاكَ بِمُنَاصَحَتِهِ،
Aṭ-ṭālibīna riḍāka bi-munāṣaḥatihī,
and seek Your pleasure by means of acting sincerely to him,
na wanaotafuta radhi Zako kwa kutenda kwa uaminifu kwake,
حَثَّى تَحشُرَنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي اَنْصَارِهِ
Ḥattā taḥshuranā yawma-l-qiyāmati fī anṣārihī,
so that You will gather us on the Resurrection Day with his supporters,
ili Utukusanye Siku ya Kiyama pamoja na wafuasi wake,
وَاَعْوَانِهِ وَمُقَوِّيَةٍ سُلْطَانِهِ.
Wa a‘wānihī wa muqawwiyati sulṭānihī.
backers, and those who consolidate his authority.
wasaidizi wake, na wale wanaouimarisha utawala wake.
اَللَّهُمَّ وَاجْعَلْ ذلِكَ لَنَا
Allāhumma wa-j‘al dhālika lanā,
O Allah, make us do all these things
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, tufanye tufanye mambo haya yote
خَالِصًا مِنْ كُلِّ شَكٍ وَشُبْهَةٍ
Khāliṣan min kulli shakin wa shubhātin,
free from any doubt, confusion
bila shaka yoyote, mkanganyiko,
وَرِيَاءِ وَسُمْعَةٍ،
Wa riyā’i wa sum‘atin,
ostentation, and seeking of reputation
kujionyesha, na kutafuta sifa,
حَثّى لَا نَعْتَمِدَ بِهِ غَيْرَكَ،
Ḥattā lā na‘tamida bihī ghayraka,
so that we will rely upon none save You
ili tusimtegemee yeyote isipokuwa Wewe,
وَلَا نَظْلُبَ بِهِ الَّاوَجْهَكَ،
Wa lā naṭlubu bihī illā wajhaka,
and seek none save Your sake
na tusitafute chochote isipokuwa Wajhi Wako,
وَحَثَّى تُجِلَّنَا مَحَلَّهُ،
Wa ḥattā tujillanā maḥallahu,
and that You will put us up in his vicinity
na kwamba Utatuweka karibu naye,
وَتَجْعَلَنَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ مَعَهُ،
Wa taj‘alanā fī-l-jannati ma‘ahu,
and place us with him in Paradise.
na Utuweke pamoja naye Peponi.
وَاَعِذْنَا مِنَ السَّأْمَةِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْفَثْرَةِ،
Wa a‘idhnā mina-s-sa’mati wa-l-kasali wa-l-fathrati,
And (please) protect us against weariness, laziness and lethargy
Na (tafadhali) utulinde dhidi ya uchovu, uvivu na ulegevu,
وَاجْعَلْنَا مِمَّنْ تَنْتَصِرُبِهِ لِدِيْنِكَ،
Wa-j‘alnā mimman tantaṣiru bihī li-dīnika,
and include us with those whom You take up for backing Your religion
na utujumuishe na wale unaowatumia kuunga mkono dini Yako,
وَتُعِزُّ بِهِ نَصْرَ وَلِيِّكَ،
Wa tu‘izzu bihī naṣra waliyyika,
and for increasing the victory of Your vicegerent.
na kwa ajili ya kuongeza ushindi wa Khalifa Wako.
وَلَا تَسْتَبْدِلَ بِنَا غَيْرَنَا،
Wa lā tastabdil binā ghayranā,
Do not put others in our places,
Usitubadilishe na wengine,
فَاِنَّ اسْتِبْدَالَكَ بِنَا غَيْرَنَا عَلَيْكَ يَسِيرٌ،
Fa-inna-stibdālaka binā ghayranā ‘alayka yasīrun,
because it is easy for You to put others in our places,
kwa sababu ni rahisi Kwako kutuweka wengine mahali petu,
وَهُوَ عَلَيْنَا كَثِيْرٌ.
Wa huwa ‘alaynā kathīrun.
but it is extremely difficult for us if You do it.
lakini ni ngumu sana kwetu ukifanya hivyo.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى وُلَاةِ عَهْدِهِ،
Allāhumma ṣalli ‘alā wulāti ‘ahdihī,
O Allah, send blessings upon his representatives
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu, tushushie baraka kwa wawakilishi wake,
وَالاَئِمَّةِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ،
Wa-l-a’immat min ba‘dihī,
and the leaders after him,
na viongozi baada yake,
وَبَلِّغْهُمْ اَمَالَهُمْ،
Wa ballighhum āmālahum,
make them attain their wishes,
wafikishe matakwa yao,
وَزِدْ فِي اَجَالِهِمْ،
Wa zid fī ājālihim,
increase their lifetimes,
waongezee maisha yao,
وَاَعِزَّ نَصْرَهُمْ،
Wa a‘izz naṣrahum,
support their victory,
watie nguvu ushindi wao,
وَتَمَّمْ لَهُمْ مَا اَسْنَدْتَ اِلَيْهِمْ مِنْ اَمْرِكَ لَهُمْ،
Wa tammim lahum mā asnadta ilayhim min amrika lahum,
make perfect for them Your orders that You bid them to carry out,
wakamilishie amri Zako ulizowaagiza kuzitekeleza,
وَثَبّثْ دَعَائِمَهُمْ،
Wa thabbit da‘ā’imahum,
strengthen their pillars,
na uzitie nguvu nguzo zao,
وَاجْعَلْنَا لَهُمْ اَعْوَانًا،
Wa-j‘alnā lahum a‘wānan,
and make us their helpers
na utufanye kuwa wasaidizi wao,
وَعَلَى دِيْنِكَ اَنْصَارًا،
Wa ‘alā dīnika anṣārā,
and supporters of Your religion.
na waungaji mkono wa dini Yako.
فَاِنَّهُمْ مَعَادِنُ كَلِمَاتِكَ
Fa-innahum ma‘ādinu kalimātika,
They are the essence of Your Words,
Hakika wao ni asili ya Maneno Yako,
وَخُزَّانُ عِلْمَكَ
Wa khuzzānu ‘ilmika,
the hoarders of Your knowledge,
wahifadhi wa elimu Yako,
وَاَرْكَانُ تَوْحِيْدِكَ،
Wa arkānu tawḥīdika,
the pillars of the profession of Your Oneness,
na nguzo za kukiri Umoja Wako,
وَدَعَائِمُ دِيْنِكَ،
Wa da‘ā’imu dīnika,
the posts of Your religion,
na mihimili ya dini Yako,
وَوُلَاةُ اَمْرِكَ،
Wa wulātu amrika,
the authorities of Your commands,
na viongozi wa amri Zako,
وَخَالِصَتُكَ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ،
Wa khāliṣatuka min ‘ibādika,
the choices over Your servants,
na wateule wako miongoni mwa waja Wako,
وَصَفْوَتُكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ،
Wa ṣafwatuka min khalqika,
the well-chosen ones from among Your creatures,
na waliochaguliwa vyema kutoka miongoni mwa viumbe Wako,
وَاَوْلِيَائُكَ وَسَلَائِلُ اَوْلِيَآئِكَ،
Wa awliyā’uka wa salā’ilu awliyā’ika,
the vicegerents of You, the offspring of Your vicegerents,
na mawakili Wako, vizazi vya mawakili Wako,
وَصَفْوَةُ أَوْلَادِ نَبِيِّكَ،
Wa ṣafwatu awlādi nabiyyika.
and the selected descendants of Your Prophet.
na wazao teule wa Nabii Wako.
وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمْ
Wa-s-salāmu ‘alayhi wa ‘alayhim,
Peace be upon him and them.
Amani iwe juu yake na juu yao.
وَرَحْمَةُ اللَهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ.
Wa raḥmatu-llāhi wa barakātuhū.
Allah's mercy and blessings, too, be upon them.
Rehema na baraka za Mwenyezi Mungu, pia ziwe juu yao.
