السادسة والعشرون: روي عن الإمام الصادق (ع) أنه قال: ينبغي أن يقال هذا الكلام قبل ختان أي صبي. ولكن، إذا أغفل المرء قول هذه الكلمات، فيجب عليه قولها قبل أن يبلغ الصبي سن البلوغ. فإذا فعل، وقي الصبي من حر الحديد (أي القتل بالسيف أو نحوه):
Twenty-sixth: Imam al-Sadiq ('a) is reported to have said: These words should be said before circumcising any boy. However, if one neglects saying these words, he must say them before the boy attains maturity. If he does, the boy will be saved from the heat of iron (i.e. being killed by a sword or the like):
Ya ishirini na sita: Imepokewa kutoka kwa Imam al-Sadiq (a.s) akisema: Maneno haya yanapaswa kusemwa kabla ya kumtahiri mvulana yeyote. Hata hivyo, ikiwa mtu atasahau kuyasema maneno haya, lazima ayaseme kabla ya mvulana huyo kufikia umri wa kubalehe. Akifanya hivyo, mvulana huyo ataepushwa na joto la chuma (yaani kuuawa kwa upanga au mfano wake):
اَللَّهُمَّ هَذِهِ سُنَّتُكَ وَ سُنَّةُ نَبِيِّكَ
Allāhumma hadhihi sunnatuka wa sunnatu nabiyyika
O Allah, this is the tradition decreed by You and instructed by Your Prophet,
Ee Mwenyezi Mungu, hii ni sunna Yako na sunna ya Mtume Wako,
صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَ اَلِهِ
Ṣalawātuka ʿalayhi wa al-hi
may Your blessings be upon him and his Household.
rehema Zako ziwe juu yake na kizazi chake.
وَاتَّبَاعٌ مِنَّا لَكَ وَ لِنَبِّيِكَ
Wāttabāʿun minnā laka wa linabbiyika
[We have carried it out] as sign of our commitment to Your decrees and patterning after Your Prophet,
[Tumeitekeleza] kama ishara ya utiifu wetu Kwako na kufuata nyayo za Mtume Wako,
بِمَشِيَّتِكَ وَ بِارَادَتِكَ
Bimashiyyatika wa biārādatika
within Your will and Your volition
kwa matakwa Yako na utashi Wako
وَ قَضَآئِكَ لِآَمْرِ ٱَرَدْتَهُ
Wa qaḍaʾāʾika liʾāmri aradtahu
and within Your bringing about a matter that You have wanted to be,
