Virtues, description, and recitation method of DUA IN THE MORNINGS AND EVENINGS as recorded in Shia traditions.
اَبْتَدِءُ يَوْمِى هَذَا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ نِسْيَانِى وَ عَجَلَتِن
The Imam ('a) added: My father ('a) has said, l "This is one of the divinely hoarded supplicatory prayers." I begin this day of mine before I should forget or hurry with:
بِسْمِا للهِ
'In the Name of Allah'
وَ مَا شَآءَ اللهُ.
and 'Only what Allah wills (shall come to pass):'
اَسْتَوْدِعُ اللّهَ الْعَلِىَّ الْاَعْلَى
l entrust with Allah the Most High,
الْجَلِيْلَ الْعَظِيْمَ
the All-high,, the All-majestic, and • the All-great
نَفْسِىْ وَ مَنْ يَعنّينى آَمْرُهُ
my self and whatever concerns me.
اَسْتَوْدِعُ اللهَ نَفْسِىَ
l entrust my self with Allah
الْمَرْهُوْبَ الْمَخُوْفَ
the feared, the dreaded,
الْمُتَضَعْضَعَ لِعَظَمَتِهِ كُلُّ شَيْئٍ.
and to Whose greatness all things submit.
اَللّهُمَّ اِنَّى اَسْئَلُكَ عِنْدَ اِقْبَالٍ لَيْلِكَ
O Allah, I beseech You at the coming of Your night,
وَ اِذْبَارِ نَهَارِكَ
the departure of Your daytime,
وَ حُضُوْرِ صَلَوَاتِكَ
the presence of the prayers to You,
وَ اَضوَاتِ دُعَآئِكَ
and the voices of supplications to You
آَنْ تُصَلَّى عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَلِ مُحَمَّدٍ.
to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad and to...
بِسْمِ اللهِ وَ بِاللهِ وَ إِلَى اللهِ وَ فِى سَبِيْلِ اللهِ وَ عَلَى مِلَّةِ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ
In the Name of Allah (l begin), in Allah (l put my trust), to Allah (I resort), in the way of Allah (l proceed), and the
عَلَيْهِ وَ ألِهِ اللَّهُمَّ اِلَيْكَ ٱسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِى وَ اِلَيْكَ فَوَضْتُ آَمْرِىٰ وَ عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ يَا رَبَّ
principles of Allah's Messenger, may Allah bless him and his Household (l follow). O Allah, (please) protect me with the
الْعَالَمِيْنَ اَللَّهُمَّ اخْفَظُنِى بِحِفْظِ الْاِيْمَانِ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَىًّ وَ مِنْ خَلْفِى وَ عَنْ يَمِيْنِن وَ
protection of faith before me, behind me, to my right side, to
عَنْ شِمَالِى وَ مِنْ فَوْقِى وَ مِنْ تَخْتِىْ وَ مِنْ قِبَلِى لَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا آَنْتَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ
my left side, above me, beneath me, and in front of me. There
اِلَّا بِاللهِ نَسْتَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ سُوَّءِ وَ شَرِّ فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالْأَخِرَةِ اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّى
is no god save You. There is neither might nor power except
اَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَ مِنْ ضُغْطَةِ الْقَبْرِ وَ مِنْ ضِيْقِ الْقَبْرِ وَ اَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ
with Allah. We beseech You for pardon and wellbeing from
سَطَوَاتِ اللَّيْلِ والنَّهَارِ، اَللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ الْمَشَعَرِ الْحَرامِ وَ رَبَّ الْبَلَدِ الْحَرَامِ وَ رَبَّ الْحِلِّ وَ
all wicked matters and all evils in this world and the Hereafter. O
الْإِحْرَامِ اَبْلِغْ مُحَمَّدًا وَالَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنَّى السَّلَامَ اَللَّهُمَّ اِنِّى اَعُوْذُ بِدِرْعِكَ
O Allah, I pray the protection of Your invulnerable armor and I
الْحَصِيْنَةِ وَ اَعُوذُ بِجَمْعِكَ اَنْ تُمِيْتَنِى غَرَقًا اَوْ حَرَقًا اَوْ شَرَقًا اَوْ قَوَدًا أَوْ صَبْرًا آَوْ
pray the protection of Your Wholeness lest that You might cause me to die drowned, burned, choked, beaten, murdered,
مُسَمًّا أَوْ تَرَدِّيَّا فِىْ بِئرٍ أَوْ اَكِيْلَ السَّبُعِ أَوْ مَوْتَ الفُجَائَةِ أَوْ بِشَيْءِ مَنْ مَيْتَاتِ السَّوْءِ
poisoned, fallen in a well, eaten by a beast, sudden death, or any violent death; rather, cause me to die on my bed obeying
وَلْكِنْ امِثَنِى عَلَى فِرَاشِىْ فِي طَاعَتِكَ وَ طَاعَةٍ رَسُوْلِكَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ أَلِهِ
You and Your Messenger, may Allah bless him and his Household, following the truth unfailingly, or to die in the
مُصِيْبًا لِلْحَقُّ غَيْرَ مُخْطِئٍ اَوْ فِى الصَّفِ الَّذِيْنَ نَعَتَهُمْ فِى كِتَابِكَ كَانَّهُمْ بُئْيَانْ
ranks that You have described in Your Book as a solid structure. I pray for myself, my children, and whatever my
مَرْصُوْضُ أُعِيْذُ نَفْسِى وَ وُلْدِىٰ وَ مَا رَزَقَنِى رَبَّى بِقُلْ آَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ مِنْ شَرّ مَا
Lord has provided me the protection of "Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn from the evil of what He has created, from the evil of the utterly dark night when it comes, from the
خَلَقَ وَمِنْ شَرَّ غَاسِقٍ اِذَا وَقَبَ وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ وَمِنْ شَرَّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا
evil of those who blow on knots, and from the evil of the
حَسَدَ وَ أُعِيْذُ نَفْسِىْ
envious when he envies."I pray for myself, my children, and whatever my Lord has provided me the protection of "Say: l
وَ وُلَدِىْ وَ مَا رَزَقَنِى رَبَّى بِقُلَ اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ النَاسِ مَلِكِ النَّاسِ اِلَهِ النَّاسِ مِنْ شَرِّ
seek refuge in the Lord of men, the King of men, the god of men, from the evil of the whisperings of the slinking (Satan)
الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَاسِ الَّذِيْ يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُوْرِ النَّاسِ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ الْحَمْدُ للهُ
who whispers into the hearts of men, from among the jinn and the men." Praise be to Allah as many as what Allah has created. Praise be to Allah as same as what He has created.
عَدَدَ مَا خَلَقَ اللهُ وَالْحَمْدُللهُ مِثْلَ مَا خَلَقَ وَ الْحَمْدُللهِ مِلْاَ مَا خَلَقَ وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ
Praise be to Allah as full as what He has created. Praise be
مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ وَالْحَمْدُللهِ زِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ رِضَا نَفْسِهِ وَلَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا اللَهُ الْحَلِيْمُ
to Allah as much as the ink of His Words. Praise be to Allah as weighty as His Throne. Praise be to Allah as much as it pleases Him. There is no god save Allah the Forbearing and
الْكَرِيْمُ وَلَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا اللهُ الْعَلِىُّ الْعَظِيمُ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ رَبَّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِيْنَ وَ مَا
All-generous. There is no god save Allah the Most High and
بَيْنَهُمَا وَ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّى اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ دَرَكِ الشَّقَاءِ وَ مِنْ شَهَاتَةٍ
All-great. Glory be to Allah the Lord of the heavens, the layers
الْاَعْدَآءِ وَ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ وَ الْوَقْرِ وَ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ سُوَءِ الْمَنْظَرِ فِي الْأَهْلِ
of the earth, and whatsoever is between them and the Lord
وَالْمَالِ وَالْوَلَدِ.
of the great Throne. O
بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمْنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the Name of Allah; the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ
There is neither might nor power except with Allah the All- high and All-great.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِرَبِّ الصَّبَاحِ
All praise be to the Lord of morning.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِفَالِقِ الإِصْبَاحِ.
All praise be to the Cleaver of daybreak
اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي اَذْهَبَ اللَّيْلَ بِقُدْرَتِهِ
All praise be to Allah Who has taken away the night by His power
وَ جَاءَ بِالنَّهَارِ بِرَحْمَتِهِ وَ نَخْنُ فِىْ عَافِيَةٍ.
and brought the day through His mercy.
وَ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُوْنَ
"Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe.
وَ سَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ
And Peace be upon the messengers.
وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
And all praise is due to Allah the Lord of the worlds."
فَسُبْحَانَ اللهِ جِيْنَ
"Therefore, glory be to Allah when you enter upon the time of
تُمْسُوْنَ وَ حِيْنَ تُصْبِحُوْنَ
the evening and when you enter upon the time of the morning;
وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ
and to Him belongs praise in the heavens and the earth,
وَ عَشِيًّا وَ حِيْنَ تُظْهِرُوْنَ
and at nightfall and when you are at midday.
يُخْرِجُ الْحَىَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ
He brings forth the living from the dead and brings forth the
وَ يُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَىِّ
dead from the living,
وَ يُخِيِى الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا
and gives life to the earth after its death,
وَ كَذِلِكَ تُخْرَجُوْنَ
and thus shall you be brought forth."
سُبُّوْحٌ قُدُّوْسٌ
Glorified and Sacred be You;
رَبُّنَا وَ رَبُّ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ
our Lord and the Lord of the angels and the Holy Spirit.
سَبَقَتْ رَحْمَثُكَ غَضَبَكَ
Your mercy has preceded Your wrath.
لَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ
There is no god save You.
سُبْحَانَكَانّى ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِىْ فَاغْفِرْ لِىْ
Glory be to You. I have wronged myself, so, forgive me,
وَازحَمْنِن وَ ثُبُ عَلَىَّ اِنَّكَ آَنْتَ التَوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ.
have mercy upon me, and accept my repentance, for You are the Oft-Returning, the All-merciful.
اَللَهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ
O Allah, all praise be to You.
اَخمَدُكَ وَ اسْتَعِيْنُكَ
I praise You and seek Your help.
وَ أَنْتَ رَبِّىْ
You are my Lord
وَ أَنَا عَبْدُكَ
and l am Your servant.
اَضبَحْتُ عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَ وَغدِك
I begin this morning committing myself to my pledge and promise to You,
وَ أَوْمِنُ بِوَعْدِكَ
having faith in Your promise,
وَ أُوْفِى بِعَهْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ
and fulfilling my covenant to You as much as l can.
وَلَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ
There is neither might nor power except with Allah,
وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ
One and Only and having no associate with Him.
وَ اَشْهَدُ آَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَ رَسُوْلُهُ
I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and
اَضبَحْتْ عَلَى فِظرَةِ الْإِسْلَامِ
messenger.
وَكَلِمَةٍ الإِخْلَاص
I am in this morning following the nature of Islam,
وَمِلَّةٍ اِبْرَهِيْمَ
the creed of sincerity, the principles of Abraham,
وَدِيْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ
and the faith of Muhammad,
صَلَوَاتُاللهِ عَلَيْهِمَا وَ اَلِهِمَا
blessings of Allah be upon them and upon their households.
عَلَى ذَلِكَ أُخِيئْ وَ اَمُوْتُ
Carrying this faith, l will live and die,
اِنْشَآءَ اللهُ
if Allah wills.
اَللَّهُمَّ اخِينِى مَا اخييْتَنِى
O Allah, (please) make me live as long as You determine me to live
وَ اَمِثْنِى اِذَا آَمَتَّنِىْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ
and cause me to die when You will decide to make me die following this faith,
وَابْعَثْنِى اِذَا بَعَثْتَنِى عَلَى ذَلِكَ
and resurrect me, when You will resurrect me following this faith.
أَبْتَغِى بِذْلِكَ رِضْوَانَكَ وَاتَّبَاعَ سَبِيْلِكَ
By so, l only desire for Your pleasure and for following Your path.
اِلَيْكَ اَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِىْ
To You do l resort
وَ اِلَيْكَ فَوَضْتُ اَمْرِيْ
and with You do l entrust my affairs.
أَلْ مُحَمَّدٍ اَئِمَّتِىْ
The Family of Muhammad are my leaders;
لَيْسَ لِى آَئِمَّةٌ غَيْرُهُمْ بِهِمْ أَتْتَمُ
I have no other leaders than they are.
وَ اِيَّاهُمْ اَتَوَلَى
I follow them,
وَ بِهِمْ اَقْتَدِىْ
accede to them, and pattern after their examples.
اَللهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُمْ اَوْلِيَآئِن
O Allah, (please) make them my leaders
فِى الدُّنْيَا وَ الأخِرَةِ
in this world and in the Hereafter,
وَاجْعَلْنِى اُوَالِى اَوْلِيَآئَهُمْ
keep me loyalist to their loyalists
وَ أَعَادِىْ اَعْدَاَئَهُمْ
and enemy of their enemies
فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْأَخِرَةِ
in this world and in the Hereafter,
وَ اَلْحِقْنِى بِالصَّالِحِيْنَ
and include me with the righteous ones,
وَ أَبَآئِىْ مَعَهُمْ.
along with my ancestors.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّى اَصْبَحْتُ اَسْتَغْفِرُكَ
O Allah, I implore for You forgiveness
فِىْ هَذَا الصَّبَاحِ
in this morning
وَ فِىْ هَذَا اليَوْمِ
and on this day
لِاهْل رَحْمَتِكَ
for purpose of winning Your mercy.
وَ أَبْرَءُ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ اَهْلِ لَغْنَتِكَ
I disavow in Your presence the people cursed by You.
اَللّهُمَّ إِنَّى اَضبَحْتُ اَبْرَءُ اِلَيكَ
O Allah, I disavow in Your presence
فِىْ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ
on this day
وَ فِىْ هَذَا الصَّبَاحِ
and in this morning
مِمَّنْ نَخْنُ بَيْنَ ظَهْرِانِيْهِمْ مِنَ المُشْرِكِيْنَ
the polytheists we live among them
وَ مِمَّا كَانَوْا يَعْبُدُوْنَ
and (disavow) what they are worshipping.
اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَاسِقِيْنَ
Truly, they were a people given to evil, a rebellious people. O Allah, (please) cause what You have brought down from
اَللّهُمّ اجْعَلْ مَا اَنْزَلْتَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ
the heavens to the earth
فِىْ هَذَا الصَّبَاحِ
in this morning
وَ فِىْ هَذَا اليَوْمِ
and on this day
بَرَكَةً عَلَى اَوْلِيَآئِكَ
to be blessing for Your saints
وَ عِقَابًا عَلَى اَعْدَآئِكَ
and punishment poured on Your enemies.
اَللّهُمَّ وَالِ مَنْ وَالَاكَ
O Allah, (please) accede to those who are loyal to You
وَ عَادٍ مَنْ عَادَاكَ
and feud with those who act hostilely towards You.
اَللَّهُمَّ اخْتِمْ لِى بِالْأمْنِ وَالْاِيْمَانِ
O Allah, (please) seal my affairs with security and faith
كُلَّمَا طَلَعَتْ شَمْسُ اَوْ غَرَبَثْ
whenever the sun rises or sets.
اَللهُمَّ اغْفِزْلِى وَ لِوَالِدَىَّ
O Allah, (please) forgive me and my parents
وَارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِى صَغِيْرًا
and have mercy upon them as they have cherished me in my childhood.
اَللّهُمَّ اغْفِزْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
O Allah, (please) forgive the believing men and women
وَالْمُسْلِمِيْنَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ
and the Muslim men and women,
اَلاَحِيَاءِ مِنْهُمْ وَ الْاَمْوَاتِ
both the alive and the dead.
اَللّهُمَ اِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ مُتَقَلَبَهُمْ وَ مَثوْيهُمْ
O Allah, You do know their place of returning and their place of rest.
اَللّهُمَ اخْفَظ اِمَامَ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
O Allah, (please) safeguard the leader of Muslims
بِحِفْظِ الْاِيْمَانِ،
with the protection of faith, help him with powerful help,
وَانْصُرْهُ نَضرًا عَزِيْزَا
grant him easy victory,
وَافْتَخْ لَهُ فَثْحًا يَسِيْرًا
وَاجْعَلْ لَهُ وَلَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ سُلْطَانًا نَصِيْرًا
and grant him and us from Your presence a sustaining power.
اَللّهُمَّ الْعَنْ فَلَانَا وَ فَلَانًا
O Allah, (please) curse so-and-so and so-and-so as well as the factions that have dissented from Your
وَالْفِرَقَ الْمُخْتَلِفَةَ عَلَى رَسُوْلِكَ
Messenger,
وَ وُلَاةِ الْأَمْرِ بَعْدَ رَسُوْلِكَ
from the men of authority after Your Messenger,
وَالْاَئِمَّةِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَ شِيْعَتِهِمْ
from the leaders who came after him, and from their partisans.
وَ اَسْئَلُكَ الزِّيَادَةَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
I also beseech You from more favor,
وَ الإِقْرَارَ بِمَا جَاءَ بِهِ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ
acknowledgement of what has come from You,
وَالتَّسْلِيمَ لِآمْرِكَ
submission to Your decree,
وَالْمُحَافَظَةَ عَلَى مَا آَمَرْتَ بِهِ
and steadfastness in what You have ordered of.
لَا اَبْتَغِى بِهِ بَدَلًا
I neither intend to find another alternative than it
وَ لَا اَشْتَرِى بِهِ ثَمَنَا قَلِيْلًا
nor do I take a mean price in exchange for it.
اَللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِى فِيْمَنْ هَدَيْتَ
O Allah, (please) guide me among those whom You guide
وَ قِنِى شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ
and save me from the evil of what You have decided,
اِنَّكَ تَقْضِى وَلَا يُقْضى عَلَيْكَ
for You decree and no one can decree
وَ لَا يَذِلّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ
against Your decree and no humiliation will ever afflict one whom You support.
تَبَارَكْتَ وَ تَعَاليْتَ
Blessed by You and exalted by You.
سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّ البَيْتِ
Glory be to You, O Lord of the House.
تَقَبَّلَ مِنَّىْ دُعَائِىْ
Accept my prayer. As for whatever virtuous item through which I have sought
وَ مَا تَقَرَّبْتُ بِهِ اِلَيْكَ مِنْ خَيْرٍ
nearness to You,
فَضَاعِفْهُ لِى اَضْعَافًا كَثِيْرَةً
(please) double it for me many folds.
وَ أَتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ اَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا
Grant us from Your Presence a great reward.
رَبِّ مَا آَحسَنَ مَا اَبْلَيْتَنِى
O my Lord, how excellent Your favors to me are!
وَ اَعْظَمَ مَا اَعْطَيْتَنِن
How great Your donations to me are!
وَ اَطَوَلَ مَا عَافَيْتَنِى
How lasting the wellbeing with which You have endued me is!
وَ اَكْتَرَمَا سَتَرْتَ عَلَىَّ
Too many times have You covered my faults!
فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ يَا اِلهِىْ
So, all praise be to You, O my God;
كَثِيْرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا عَلَيْهِ
such praise that is pleasant, blessed,
مِلاَ السَّمٰوَاتِ
as full as the heavens,
وَ مِلْاَ الْاَرْضِ
as full as the earth,
وَ مِلْاَ مَا شَآءَ رَبَّى وَ رَضِىَ
as full as what my Lord wills and pleases,
وَ كَمَا يَنْبَغِى لِوَجْهِ رَبَّىْ
and as it fits the Face of my Lord,
ذِي الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ.
the Lord of majesty and honoring.
لَا اِلْهَ إِلَّا اللهُ
There is no god save Allah;
وَحَدَهُ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ
One and Only Lord and having no associate with Him.
لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ
To him is the kingdom and to Him is all praise.
يُخْيِىْ وَيُمِيْتُ
He gives life and causes to die
وَ هُوَ حَىٌّ لَا يَمُؤْتُ
while He is Ever- living and He never dies.
بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ
In His hand is the good
وَ هُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْيءِ قَدِيْرٌ.
and He has power over all things.
سُبْحَانَ اللّهِ.
All glory be to Allah.
لَا إِلْهَ اِلَّا اللَهُ.
There is no god save Allah.
اَلْحَمْدُ للّهُ.
All praise be to Allah.
اَللهُ اَللهُ اَللهُ رَبِّى
Allah, Allah, Allah is my lord,
الرَّخمْنُ الرَّحِيْمُ
the All-beneficent and All-merciful.
لَا أُشرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا.
I do not admit any one as partner of Him.
اَللّهُمّ اَجْعَلْنِى فِى دِرْعِكَ الْحَصِيئَةِ
O Allah, (please) include me with Your invulnerable shield
الَّتِى تَجْعَلُ فِيْهَا مَنْ تُرِيْدُ.
with which You include whomever You want. The Imam ('a) added: My father ('a) has said, l"This is one of the divinely hoarded supplicatory prayers." Allah, l pray for Your protection against the chastisement in the grave, the pressure of graves, and the tightness of graves. 1 Allah, l pray Your protection against encounter of misery and gloating of the enemies. I pray Your protection against poverty and rupture. I pray Your protection against evil result with regard to the wife, the property, and the children.
