DUA TO REMEMBER THE THINGS THAT SATAN MAKES YOU FORGET
Thirty-ninth: Quoting the book of Jam' al-Shatat, al-Kaf'ami has reported Imam al-Sadiq ('a) as saying: If you had intended to report one of our sayings but Satan made you forget it, you may put your hand on your forehead and say this supplication prayer:
DUA YA KUKUMBUKA MAMBO AMBAYO SHETANI ANAKUSAHAULISHA
Ya thelathini na tisa: Akinukuu kitabu cha Jam' al-Shatat, al-Kaf'ami amepokea kutoka kwa Imam al-Sadiq ('a) akisema: Ikiwa ulikusudia kusimulia moja ya hadithi zetu lakini Shetani akakusahaulisha, unaweza kuweka mkono wako kwenye paji la uso wako na usome dua hii:
Yā mudhakkira-l-khayri wa fā‘ilahu, wa-l-āmira bih
O reminder, doer, and commander of goodness,
Ee Mkumbushaji, Mtendaji, na Mwamrishaji wa heri,
ذَكِّرْنِي مَا أَنْسَانِيهِ الشَّيْطَانُ
Dhakkirnī mā ansānīhi-sh-shaytān
to make me remember what Satan has made me forget.
unikumbushe kile ambacho Shetani amenisahaulisha.
Instructions
In the book of man-la-yahzuruhul-faqih, Imam al-Sadiq ('a) is reported to have said that whoever is frequently unmindful in his prayers, may say these words when he enters the toilet:
Katika kitabu cha Man-la-yahdhuruhu-l-Faqih, imepokewa kutoka kwa Imam al-Sadiq ('a) akisema kwamba yeyote anayesahau mara kwa mara katika swala zake, asome maneno haya anapoingia chooni:
بِسْمِ اللهِ
Bismi Allāhi
In the Name of Allah (I begin).
Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu (naanza).
اَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الرِّجْسِ النَّجِسِ
A‘ūdhu billāhi mina-r-rijsi-n-najis
I pray Allah's protection against the filthy, the impure,
Najilinda kwa Mwenyezi Mungu dhidi ya uchafu, najisi,
