DUA FOR ONE'S BROTHER IN FAITH WHILE IN PROSTRATION It is worth mentioning that within the rites of Masjid al-Kufah and Masjid Zayd that are mentioned in my book of Mafatih al- Jinan, I have referred to some supplicatory prayers to be said in prostrations. Mentioning the thanksgiving prostration, Shaykh al-Tusi, in his book of Misbah al-Mutahajjid, says that it is recommended to pray for one's brothers-in-faith while prostrating. The following supplicatory prayer is thus advisable:
O Allah, Lord of the dawn and the ten nights,
And the even and the odd,
And the night when it departs,
And Lord of everything,
And God of everything,
And Creator of everything,
And King of everything,
Send blessings upon Muhammad and his family,
And do for me and for [so-and-so] and [so-and-so] what You are worthy of,
And do not do to us what we are worthy of,
For You are the One worthy of fear and worthy of forgiveness.
O Allah, to You belongs all praise,
There is no god but You,
Knower of the unseen and the witnessed,
The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
O Allah, remove from me anxiety and grief,
And changes (misfortunes) and trials,
That which is apparent of them and that which is hidden.
