DUA FOR LONGEVITY
Twenty-first: Sayyid Ibn Tawus, through a valid chain of
authority, has reported the following incident from Jamil ibn
Darraj:
A man visited Imam al-Sadiq(a.s.) and said, "My master, l
have become old aged, my relatives have all died, and I fear
lest death will come upon me while I have no one to entertain
me and to whom I may refer."
The Imam (a.s.) answered, "Some of your brothers-in-faith
are closer to you than relatives and you can find with them
DUA YA MAISHA MAREFU. Ishirini na moja: Sayyid Ibn Tawus, kupitia mlolongo sahihi wa wapokezi, ameripoti tukio lifuatalo kutoka kwa Jamil ibn Darraj: Mtu mmoja alimtembelea Imam as-Sadiq (a.s.) na kusema, "Bwana wangu, nimezeeka, jamaa zangu wote wamefariki, na nina hofu isije mauti ikanijia nikiwa sina mtu wa kunistarehesha na ambaye ninaweza kumrejelea." Imam (a.s.) alijibu, "Baadhi ya ndugu zako katika imani wako karibu nawe kuliko jamaa zako na unaweza kupata faraja kwao."
اَللَهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَالِ مُحَمَّدٍ
Allāhumma ṣalla ʿalā muḥammadin wāli muḥammadin
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
Ee Mwenyezi Mungu, mteremshie rehema Muhammad na familia ya Muhammad.
