DUA FOR GLORIFYING ALLAH (S.W.T.) Fortieth: Shaykh Ibn Fahad has reported Imam al-Sadiq ('a) as saying, "Any supplication that is not commenced with a statement of glorification of the Lord is imperfect. Glorification may always precedes praise." The reporter asked the Imam ('a), "What is the least acceptable statement of glorification?" The Imam ('a) taught him to say this supplicatory prayer: DUA FOR GLORIFYING ALLAH (S.W.T.)
O Allah, You are the First.
There is nothing before You.
And You are the Last.
There is nothing after You.
And You are the Manifest (the Evident).
There is nothing above You.
And You are the Hidden (the Inner).
There is nothing beneath You.
And You are the Almighty, the All-Wise.
