في كتاب تحفة الزائر، روي عن الإمام الصادق (عليه السلام) أن من أراد أن تُقضى حاجته أو خاف أمراً، فليكتب هذا الدعاء على رقعة بيضاء ويضعها في طين ويطرحها في ماء جارٍ، فإنه يفرج عنه.
In the book of Tuhfat al-Za'ir, Imam al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, is reported to have said that one who wants his request to be granted by Almighty Allah or fears something, may write down the following supplication on a white patch and then fold it and put it in dried round clay and throw it in current water. Verily, Almighty Allah will relieve one who does so from grievances.
Katika kitabu cha Tuhfat al-Za'ir, Imam al-Sadiq, amani iwe juu yake, imeripotiwa kuwa alisema yeyote anayetaka ombi lake likubaliwe na Mwenyezi Mungu au anaogopa jambo fulani, anaweza kuandika dua ifuatayo kwenye kipande cha nguo nyeupe na kisha kuikunja na kuiweka kwenye udongo mkavu wa mviringo na kuitupa katika maji yanayotiririka. Hakika, Mwenyezi Mungu atamwondolea huzuni yeyote anayefanya hivyo.
