DUA FARAJ (RELEASE FROM GRIEF)
Shaykh al-Kaf'ami, in al-Balad al-Amin, has mentioned a
supplicatory prayer that is reported from Imam AliAmeer al-
Momineen(a.s.) saying that no grief-stricken, worried,
depressed, distressed, or aggrieved person recites it but that
Almighty Allah will certainly take the edge off him. This
supplication is as follows:
You may then mention your personal needs.
It is worth mentioning that the following supplicatory prayer
is reported from Imam Muhammad al-Jawad(a.s.) who said
DUA FARAJ (Maombi ya Kuondolewa Huzuni)
Shaykh al-Kaf'ami, katika kitabu cha al-Balad al-Amin, ametaja dua ambayo imepokewa kutoka kwa Imam Ali Amir al-Muminin (a.s.) akisema kwamba hakuna mtu mwenye huzuni, mwenye wasiwasi, aliyefadhaika, mwenye dhiki, au aliyeumizwa anayeisoma isipokuwa Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu hakika atamwondolea makali. Dua hii ni kama ifuatavyo:
Unaweza kisha kutaja mahitaji yako binafsi.
Inafaa kutajwa kwamba dua ifuatayo imepokewa kutoka kwa Imam Muhammad al-Jawad (a.s.) ambaye alisema:
يَا عِمَادَ مَنْ لَا عِمَادَ لَهُ
Yā 'imāda man lā 'imāda lahu
O Support of him who has no support!
Ewe tegemeo la yule asiye na tegemeo!
وَ يَا ذُخْرَ مَنْ لَا ذُخْرَ لَهُ
Wa yā dhukhra man lā dhukhra lahu
And O Treasure of him who has no treasure!
Na Ewe akiba ya yule asiye na akiba!
وَيَا سَنَدَ مَنْ لَا سَنَدَ لَهُ
Wa yā sanada man lā sanada lahu
And O Backer of him who has no backer!
Na Ewe msaada wa yule asiye na msaada!
وَيَا حِزْزَ مَنْ لَا حِزْزَ لَهُ
Wa yā ḥizʾza man lā ḥizʾza lahu
And O Refuge of him who has no refuge!
Na Ewe kinga ya yule asiye na kinga!
وَيَا غِيَاتَ مَنْ لَا غِيَاتَ لَهُ
Wa yā ghiyātha man lā ghiyātha lahu
And O Succourer of him who has no succourer!
Na Ewe mkombozi wa yule asiye na mkombozi!
وَيَا كَنْزَ مَنْ لَا كَنزَ لَهُ
Wa yā kanza man lā kanza lahu
And O Treasure of him who has no treasure!
Na Ewe hazina ya yule asiye na hazina!
وَيَا عِزَّ مَنْ لَا عِزَّ لَهُ
Wa yā 'izza man lā 'izza lahu
And O Might of him who has no might!
Na Ewe heshima ya yule asiye na heshima!
يَا كَرِيْمَ الْعَفْوِ
Yā karīmal-'afwi
O Generous in pardoning!
Ewe mkarimu katika msamaha!
يَا حَسَنَ التَّجَاوُزِ
Yā ḥasanat-tajāwuzi
O Good in overlooking (sins)!
Ewe mzuri katika kusamehe (makosa)!
يَا عَوْنَ الضُّعَفاءِ
Yā 'awnaḍ-ḍu'afāʾi
O Helper of the weak!
Ewe msaada wa wanyonge!
يَا كَنْزَ الْفُقَرَآءِ
Yā kanzal-fuqarāʾi
O Treasure of the poor!
Ewe hazina ya maskini!
يَا عَظِيْمَ الرِّجَاءِ
Yā 'aẓīmar-rijāʾi
O Source of Great Hope!
Ewe Chanzo cha matumaini makuu!
يَا مُنْقِذَ الْغَرْقَى
Yā munqidhāl-gharqā
O Rescuer of the drowned!
Ewe mwokozi wa waliozama!
يَا مُتْجِىَ الْهَلْكَى
Yā mutjīyal-halākā
O Deliverer of the perishing!
Ewe mtoa msaada kwa waliopotea!
يَا مُخسِنُ، يَا مُجْمِلُ
Yā mukhsīnu, yā mujmilu
O Bestower of good, O Beautifier!
Ewe mfanya wema, Ewe mpambaji!
يَا مُنْعِمُ يَا مُفْضِلُ
Yā mun'imu yā mufḍilu
O Giver of blessings, O Bestower of favours!
Ewe mtowaji wa neema, Ewe mtowaji wa fadhila!
أَنْتَ الَّذِي سَجَدَ لَكَ سَوَادُ اللَّيْلِ وَنُوْرُ النَّهَارِ
Antal-ladhī sajada laka sawādul-layli wa nūrun-nahāri
You are the One to whom the darkness of the night and the light of the day prostrated,
Wewe ndiye ambaye giza la usiku na nuru ya mchana vilikusujudia,
وَضَوْءُ الْقَمَرِ وَشُعَاعُ الشَّمْسِ
Wa ḍawʾul-qamari wa shu'ā'ush-shamsi
And the light of the moon and the rays of the sun,
Na mwangaza wa mwezi na miale ya jua,
وَحَفِيْفُ الشَّجَرِ وَدَوِىُّ الْمَاءِ
Wa ḥafīfush-shajari wa dawīyul-māʾi
And the rustling of the trees and the murmuring of the water,
Na msisimko wa miti na kishindo cha maji,
يَآ اَللهُ يَآ اَللهُ يَآ اَللهُ
Yā Allāh! Yā Allāh! Yā Allāh!
O Allah! O Allah! O Allah!
Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu! Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu! Ewe Mwenyezi Mungu!
لَا إِلْهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ
Lā ilāha illā Anta.
There is no god but You.
Hakuna mungu ila Wewe.
وَخَدَكَ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَكَ
Wahdaka lā sharīka laka.
You alone, there is no partner for You.
Wewe pekee, huna mshirika.
يَا رَبَّاهُ يَآ اَللَهُ
Yā Rabbāhu! Yā Allāhu!
O my Lord! O Allah!
Ewe Mola wangu! Ewe Allah!
صَلَّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِ مُحَمَّدٍ
Salli ‘alā Muḥammadin wa Āli Muḥammad.
Send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
Mletee rehma Muhammad na Aali Muhammad.
وَافْعَلْ بِنَا مَا آَنْتَ آَهْلَهُ.
Wa-f‘al binā mā Anta ahlahu.
And do with us that which befits You.
Na tufanyie yale unayostahiki.
يَا مَنْ يَكْفِى مِنْ كُلِّ شَءٍ
Yā man yakfī min kulli shay’in.
O He Who suffices for everything,
Ewe unayetosha kwa kila kitu,
وَلَا يَكْفِى مِنْهُ شَءٌ
Wa lā yakfī minhu shay’un.
And nothing suffices Him.
Na hakuna kinachomtosheleza Yeye.
اِكْفِنِى مَا اَهَمَّنِىْ
Ikfinī mā ahammanī.
Suffice me in what worries me.
Nitoshaleze katika yanayonihusu.
