مروي عن الأئمة المعصومين عليهم السلام في كتب الأدعية المعتبرة.
Nineteenth: In the book of Khulasat al-Adhkar too, this supplicatory prayer is reported to be said before reading (a book or the like):
Kumi na tisa: Katika kitabu cha Khulasat al-Adhkar pia, dua hii imeripotiwa kusomwa kabla ya kusoma (kitabu au mfano wake):
اَللّهُمّ اَخْرِجْنِى مِنْ ظُلُمَاتِ الْوَهَمِ
Allāhumma akhrijniā min ẓulumāti al-wahami
O Allah, (please) take me out of the murk of illusion
Ee Allah, (tafadhali) nitoe katika giza la dhana
وَ اكْرِمْنِى بِنُوْرِ الْفَهْمِ
Wa akrimniā binūri al-fahmi
and honor me with the illumination of true understanding.
na unikomboe kwa mwanga wa ufahamu wa kweli.
اَللَّهُمَّ افْتَحِ عَلَيْنَا ابْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
Allāhumma aftaḥi ʿalaynā abwāba raḥmatika
O Allah, (please) open before us the doors to Your mercy
Ee Allah, (tafadhali) tufungulie milango ya rehema Yako
وَانْشُرْ عَلَيْنَا خَزَآئِنَ عُلُوْمِكَ
Wānshur ʿalaynā khazaʾāʾina ʿulūmika
and spread out on us the hoards of Your knowledge,
na utusambazie hazina za elimu Yako,
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَآ أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ.
Biraḥmatika yaʾā ʾarḥama ar-rāḥimīna.
in the name of Your mercy, O most merciful of all those who show mercy.
kwa rehema Yako, Ee Mwingi wa rehema kuliko wote wanaorehemu.
