مروي عن الأئمة المعصومين عليهم السلام في كتب الأدعية المعتبرة.
These are eight supplicatory prayers to be advisably said before one leaves his house:
Hizi ni dua nane zinazoshauriwa kusomwa kabla ya mtu kutoka nyumbani kwake:
First: Imam al-Sadiq ('a) is reported to have said: When one intends to leave his house, he may say the following words just before he leaves. If he does, he will be kept under the custody of Almighty Allah until He returns him to the place he has left: Repeat the following word three times:
Kwanza: Imepokewa kutoka kwa Imam al-Sadiq ('a) akisema: Mtu anapokusudia kutoka nyumbani kwake, anaweza kusema maneno yafuatayo kabla tu ya kuondoka. Akifanya hivyo, atakuwa chini ya ulinzi wa Mwenyezi Mungu mpaka Atakapomrudisha mahali alipotoka: Rudia neno lifuatalo mara tatu:
اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ.
Allāhu Akbar.
Allah is the Most Great.
Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mkuu zaidi.
Then, repeat the following statement three times:
Kisha, rudia kauli ifuatayo mara tatu:
بِاللهِ آَخْرُجُ
Billāhi akhruju
I leave (putting my trust) in Allah,
Natoka kwa (kumtegemea) Allah,
وَ بِاللهِ اَدْخُلُ
Wa billāhi adkhulu
I return (putting my trust) in Allah,
na kwa Allah narejea,
وَ عَلَى اللهِ اَتَوَ كَلُ.
Wa ‘alallāhi atawakkalu.
and on Allah do I depend.
na kwa Allah nategemea.
Then, say the following supplicatory statement, yet one time only:
Kisha, sema kauli ifuatayo ya kuomba, mara moja tu:
Wa qinī sharra kulli dābbatin anta ākhidhun bināṣiyatihā
and guard me against the evil of every living creature that You hold by its forelock.
na unilinde dhidi ya shari ya kila kiumbe kilicho hai ambacho Wewe umekishika kwa kishungi chake cha utosi.
إِنَّ رَبَّى عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مسْتَقِيْمِ.
Inna rabbī ‘alā ṣirāṭim mustaqīm.
Surely, my Lord is on the right path.
Hakika, Mola wangu yuko kwenye njia iliyonyooka.
Second: Imam al-Sajjad ('a) is reported to have said: At the door of your house just before you leave it, you may say the following words:
Pili: Imepokewa kutoka kwa Imam al-Sajjad ('a) akisema: Mlangoni mwa nyumba yako kabla tu ya kuondoka, unaweza kusema maneno yafuatayo:
بِسْمِ اللّهِ وَ بِاللهِ
Bismillāhi wa billāhi
In the Name of Allah (I begin) and in Allah (I trust).
Kwa jina la Allah (naanza) na kwa Allah (namtegemea).
تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ.
Tawakkaltu ‘alallāh.
I put my trust in Allah.
Ninamtegemea Allah.
Third: Imam al-Baqir ('a) is reported to have said: Whoever says the following statement when he leaves his house, Almighty Allah will save him from whatever of his this-worldly and otherworldly affairs that concern him:
Tatu: Imepokewa kutoka kwa Imam al-Baqir ('a) akisema: Yeyote anayesema kauli ifuatayo anapotoka nyumbani kwake, Mwenyezi Mungu atamwokoa na yale yote yanayomhusu katika mambo yake ya dunia na ya akhera:
Wa tawaffanī ‘alā millatika wa millati rasūlika ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa ālihi.
and cause me to die carrying the principles You have instructed and the principles of Your Messenger, may Allah bless him and his Household.
na unifishe nikiwa nimeshikilia dini Yako na dini ya Mtume Wako, Swala na salamu za Allah zimfikie yeye na kizazi chake.
Fifth: Imam al-Rida ('a) is reported to have said: My father ('a) used to say the following words whenever he would leave his house:
Tano: Imepokewa kutoka kwa Imam al-Rida ('a) akisema: Baba yangu ('a) alikuwa akisema maneno yafuatayo kila alipokuwa akitoka nyumbani kwake:
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمْنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm
In the Name of Allah; the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
Kwa jina la Allah, Mwingi wa Rehema, Mwenye kurehemu.
خَرَجْتُ بِحَوْلِ اللّهِ وَ قُوَّتِهِ
Kharajtu biḥawlillāhi wa quwwatihi
I am leaving by the might and power of Allah,
Natoka kwa nguvu na uwezo wa Allah,
لَا بِحَوْلِ مَنَّىْ وَ لَا قُوَّتِىْ
Lā biḥawlim minnī wa lā quwwatī
but not by my own might or power;
sio kwa nguvu wala uwezo wangu;
بَلْ بِحَوْلِكَ وَ قَوَّتِكَ يَا رَبِّ
Bal biḥawlika wa quwwatika yā Rabbi
rather, by the might and power of You, O Lord,
bali kwa nguvu na uwezo Wako, Ee Mola,
مُتَعَرِّضًا لِرِزْقِكَ
Muta‘arriḍan lirizqika
seeking Your sustenance.
nikitafuta riziki Yako.
فَاتِنِىْ بِهِ فِى عَافِيَةٍ.
Fa’tinī bihī fī ‘āfiyah.
So, (please) provide me with it easily.
Basi (tafadhali) niruzuku kwayo kwa wepesi na usalama.
Sixth: Imam al-Sadiq ('a) is reported to have said, 'Whoever repeats Surah al-Tawhid ten times before he leaves his house, will be kept under the safeguard and protection of Almighty Allah until he returns home.'
Sita: Imepokewa kutoka kwa Imam al-Sadiq ('a) akisema: 'Yeyote anayerudia Surah al-Tawhid mara kumi kabla ya kutoka nyumbani kwake, atahifadhiwa chini ya ulinzi na kinga ya Mwenyezi Mungu mpaka atakaporejea nyumbani.'
Seventh: Imam Abu'l-Hasan Musa ('a) is reported to have said: When you intend to travel, you may stop at the door of your house and recite Surah al-Fatihah (No. 1) in front of you as well as to your right and left sides. You may also recite Surah al-Tawhid, Surah al-Falaq (No. 113), and Surah al-Nas (No. 114). You may then say the following supplicatory prayer:
Saba: Imepokewa kutoka kwa Imam Abu'l-Hasan Musa ('a) akisema: Unapokusudia kusafiri, unaweza kusimama mlangoni mwa nyumba yako na usome Surah al-Fatihah (Na. 1) mbele yako pamoja na pande zako za kulia na kushoto. Unaweza pia kusoma Surah al-Tawhid, Surah al-Falaq (Na. 113), na Surah al-Nas (Na. 114). Kisha unaweza kusema dua ifuatayo:
اَللَّهُمَّ اخْفَظُنِى وَاخْفَظُ مَا مَعِىَ
Allāhummaḥfaẓnī waḥfaẓ mā ma‘iya
O Allah, (please) safeguard me and safeguard whatever is with me,
Ee Allah, (tafadhali) nihifadhi mimi na uhifadhi kile nilicho nacho,
Wa ballighnī wa balligh mā ma‘iya balāghan ḥasanā.
and make me and whatever is with me reach my destination in a perfect way.
na unifikishe mimi na kile nilicho nacho kwenye lengo langu kwa njia iliyo bora.
Eighth: Imam Musa al-Kazim ('a) is also reported to have said: Whenever you leave your house, whether going on a journey or going to a certain place in your city, you may say the following words:
Nane: Imepokewa kutoka kwa Imam Musa al-Kazim ('a) pia akisema: Kila unapotoka nyumbani kwako, iwe unakwenda safarini au unakwenda sehemu fulani katika mji wako, unaweza kusema maneno yafuatayo:
بِسْمِ اللهِ
Bismillāh
In the Name of Allah (I begin),
Kwa jina la Allah (naanza),
أَمَنْتُ بِاللهِ
Āmantu billāh
in Allah do I believe,
kwa Allah ninaamini,
وَ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ
Wa tawakkaltu ‘alallāh
and in Allah do I put my trust.
na kwa Allah ninamtegemea.
مَا شَآَءَ اللّهُ
Mā shā’allāh
Only what Allah wills (shall come to pass).
Yatakayokuwa ni yale tu anayoyataka Allah.
لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ.
Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh.
There is neither might nor power except with Allah.
