مروي عن الأئمة المعصومين عليهم السلام في كتب الأدعية المعتبرة.
Al-Kaf'ami, in his book of al-Misbah, has mentioned a supplicatory prayer about which he has said that Sayyid Ibn Tawus considered it to achieve security against the ruling authorities, ordeals, overcoming of the enemies, fear of poverty, and downheartedness. It is one of the supplications of al-Sahifah al-Sajjadiyyah. Whenever you fear something harmful, you are highly recommended to say this supplicatory prayer:
Al-Kaf'ami, katika kitabu chake cha al-Misbah, ametaja maombi ambayo amesema Sayyid Ibn Tawus aliona yanatoa usalama dhidi ya mamlaka tawala, majaribu, kuwashinda maadui, hofu ya umaskini, na kukata tamaa. Ni miongoni mwa dua za al-Sahifah al-Sajjadiyyah. Wakati wowote unapohofia jambo lolote lenye madhara, unashauriwa sana kusema maombi haya:
يَا مَنْ ثُحَلُّ بِهِ عُقَدُ الْمَكَارِهِ
Yā man thuḥallu bihi ʿuqadu al-makārihi
O He through whom the knots of detested things are untied!
Ewe Ambaye kupitia Yeye mafundo ya mambo yachukiwayo yanafumbuliwa!
وَ يَا مَنْ يُفْثَا بِهِ حَدُّ الشَّدَائِدِ
Wa yā man yufthā bihi ḥaddu ash-shadāʾidi
O He through whom the cutting edge of hardships is blunted!
Na Ewe Ambaye kupitia Yeye ncha kali ya shida inalemazwa!
وَ يَا مَنْ يُلْتَمَسُ مِنْهُ المَخْرَجُ إِلَى رَوْحِ الْفَرَجِ
Wa yā man yultamasu minhu al-makhraju ʾilā rawḥi al-faraji
O He, from whom is begged the outlet to the freshness of relief!
Na Ewe Ambaye kutoka Kwake huombwa njia ya kutokea kuelekea faraja!
ذَلَثْ لِقُدْرَتِكَ الصَّعَابُ
Dhalath liqudratika aṣ-ṣaʿābu
Intractable affairs yield to Your power,
Mambo magumu hutii nguvu Zako,
وَ تَسَبَّبَتْ بِلُظْفِكَ الْاَسْبَابُ
Wa tasabbabat biluẓfika al-āsbābu
means are made ready by Your gentleness,
njia huandaliwa na upole Wako,
وَ جَزْى بِقُدْرَتِكَ الْقَضَاءُ
Wa jazā biqudratika al-qaḍāʾu
the decree goes into effect through Your power,
amri hutekelezwa kupitia nguvu Zako,
وَ مَضَتْ عَلَى اِرَادَتِكَ الْاَشْيَاءُ
Wa maḍat ʿalā irādatika al-āshyāʾu
and all things proceed according to Your desire.
na mambo yote huendelea kulingana na matakwa Yako.
فَهِيَ بِمَشِيَّتِكَ دُوْنَ قَوْلِكَ مُؤْتَمِرَةٌ
Fahiya bimashiyyatika dūna qawlika muʾtamiratun
By Your desire they follow Your command without Your word
Kwa matakwa Yako, huufuata amri Yako bila neno Lako
وَ بِارَادَتِكَ دُوْنَ نَهْيِكَ مُنْزَجِرَةْ
Wa biārādatika dūna nahyika munzajirah
and by Your will they obey Your bans without Your prohibition.
na kwa mapenzi Yako hutii makatazo Yako bila kukataza Kwako.
أَنْتَ الْمَدْعُوُ لِلْمُهِمَّاتِ
ʾanta al-madʿuwu lilmuhimmāti
You are the supplicated in worries
Wewe Ndiye Unayeombwa katika shida
وَ أَنْتَ الْمَفْزَعُ فِي الْمُلِمَّاتِ
Wa ʾanta al-mafzaʿu fī al-mulimmāti
and the place of flight in misfortunes;
na mahali pa kukimbilia katika misiba;
لَا يَنْدَفِعُ مِنْهَا اِلَّا مَا دَفَعْتَ
Lā yandafiʿu minhā al-ā mā dafaʿta
none of them is repelled unless You repel,
Hakuna hata kimoja kinachoweza kuzuiliwa isipokuwa kile Unachokizuia,
وَ لَا يَتكَشِفُ مِنْهَا اِلَّا مَا كَشَفْتَ
Wa lā yatkashifu minhā al-ā mā kashafta
none is removed unless You remove.
hakuna kinachoondolewa isipokuwa kile Unachokiondoa.
وَ قَدْ نَZَلَ بِي يَا رَبَّ مَا قَدْ تَكَاَدَنِيْ ثِقْلُهُ
Wa qad nala bī yā rabba mā qad takādanī thiqluhu
Upon me has come down, My Lord, something whose weight burdens me
Imenishukia, Ee Mola wangu, jambo ambalo uzito wake unanilemea
وَ اَلَمَ بِي مَا قَدْ بَهَظَنِي حَمْلُهُ
Wa al-ma bī mā qad bahaẓanī ḥamluhu
and upon me has fallen something whose carrying oppresses me.
na limenifika jambo ambalo kulibeba kunanitesa.
وَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ اَوْرَدْتَهُ عَلَيَّ
Wa biqudratika awradtahu ʿalayya
Through Your power You have brought it down upon me
Kwa nguvu Zako Umeniletea hili
وَ بِسُلْطَانِكَ وَجَّهْتَهُ اِلَيَّ
Wa bisulṭānika wajjahtahu al-ya
and through Your authority You have turned it toward me.
na kwa mamlaka Yako Umeelekeza kwangu.
فَلَا مُصْدِرَ لِمَا أَوْرَدْتَ
Falā muṣdira limā ʾawradta
None can send away what You have brought,
Hakuna awezaye kuondoa Ulicholeta,
وَ لَا صَارِفَ لِمَا وَجَّهْتَ
Wa lā ṣārifa limā wajjahta
none can deflect what You have turned,
hakuna awezaye kugeuza Ulichokielekeza,
وَ لَا فَاتِحَ لِمَا آَغْلَقْتَ
Wa lā fātiḥa limā āghlaqta
none can open what You have closed,
hakuna awezaye kufungua Ulichokifunga,
وَ لَا مُغْلِقَ لِمَا فَتَحْتَ
Wa lā mughliqa limā fataḥta
none can close what You have opened,
wala hakuna awezaye kufunga Ulichokifungua,
وَ لا مُيَسِّرَ لِمَا عَسَّرْتَ
Wa lā muyassira limā ʿassarta
none can make easy what You have made difficult,
wala hakuna awezaye kufanya rahisi Ulichokifanya kigumu,
وَ لا نَاصِرَ لِمَنْ خَذَلْتَ
Wa lā nāṣira liman khadhalta
none can help him whom You have abandoned.
wala hakuna awezaye kumsaidia yule Uliyemwacha.
فَصَلَّ عَلْى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِهِ
Faṣalla ʿalā muḥammadin wa al-hi
So bless Muhammad and his Household,
Basi mbariki Muhammad na kizazi chake,
وَ افتَح لِيْ يَا رَبِّ بَابَ الفَرَجِ بِطَوْلِكَ،
Wa aftaḥ lī yā rabbi bāba al-faraji biṭawlika,
open for me, my Lord, the door of relief through Your graciousness,
na nifungulie, Ee Mola wangu, mlango wa faraja kwa ukarimu Wako,
وَ اكْسِرْ عَنِّيْ سُلَطَانَ الْهَمَّ بِحَوْلِكَ
Wa aksir ʿannī sulaṭāna al-hamma biḥawlika
break from me the authority of worry by Your strength,
na univunjie mamlaka ya wasiwasi kwa nguvu Zako,
وَ اَنِلَنِي حُسْنَ النَّظَرِ فِيْمَا شَكَوْتُ
Wa anilanī ḥusna an-naẓari fīmā shakawtu
confer the beauty of Your gaze upon my complaint,
na unionyeshe uzuri wa mtazamo Wako katika nilicholalamikia,
وَ اَذِقْنِيْ حَلَاوَةَ الصُنْعِ فِيْمَا سَاَلَتُ
Wa adhiqnī ḥalāwata aṣ-ṣunʿi fīmā sālatu
let me taste the sweetness of benefaction in what I ask,
na unionjeshe utamu wa fadhila katika ninachoomba,
وَ هَبْ لِيْ مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً وَ فَرَجًا هَنِيْئًا
Wa hab lī min ladunka raḥmatan wa farajan hanīʾan
give me from Thyself mercy and wholesome relief,
na unipe kutoka Kwako rehema na faraja yenye kupendeza,
وَ اجْعَلَ لِيْ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ مَخْرَجًا وَحِيَّا
Wa ajʿala lī min ʿindika makhrajan waḥiyyā
and appoint for me from Yourself a quick way out!
na unikadirie kutoka Kwako njia ya haraka ya kutokea!
وَ لَا تَشَغَلْنِي بِالْإِهْتِمَامِ عَنْ تَعَاهُدِ فُرُوْضِكَ
Wa lā tashaghalnī biālʾihtimāmi ʿan taʿāhudi furūḍika
Distract me not through worry from observing Your obligations
Wala usinishughulishe na wasiwasi kiasi cha kunizuia kutekeleza faradhi Zako
وَ اسْتِعْمَالِ سُنَنِكَ [سُنَّتِكَ]
Wa astiʿmāli sunanika sunnatika
and acting in accordance with Your prescriptions.
na kutenda kulingana na sheria Zako.
فَقَدْ ضِفْتُ لِمَا نَزَلَ بِيْ يَا رَبِّ ذَرْعًا
Faqad ḍiftu limā nazala bī yā rabbi dharʿan
My capacity has been straitened, my Lord, by what has come down on me,
Uwezo wangu umepungua, Ee Mola wangu, kwa yale yaliyonishukia,
وَ امْتَلَاْتُ بِحَمْلِ مَا حَدَثَ عَلَيَّ هَمَّا
Wa amtalātu biḥamli mā ḥadatha ʿalayya hammā
and I am filled with worry by carrying what has happened to me,
na nimejaa wasiwasi kwa kubeba yale yaliyonitokea,
وَ أَنْتَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى كَشْفِ مَا مُنِيْتُ بِهِ
Wa ʾanta al-qādiru ʿalā kashfi mā munītu bihi
while You have power to remove what has afflicted me
ilhali Wewe unazo nguvu za kuondoa yale yaliyonikabili
وَ دَفْعٍ مَا وَقَعْتُ فِيْهِ
Wa dafʿin mā waqaʿtu fīhi
and to repel that into which I have fallen.
na kukiondoa kile nilichoangukia.
فَافْعَلْ بِيْ ذَلِكَ
Fāfʿal bī dhalika
So do that for me
Basi nifanyie hayo
وَ اِنْ لَمْ اَسْتَوْجِبْهُ مِنْكَ
Wa in lam astawjibhu minka
though I merit it not from You,
ingawa sistahili kutoka Kwako,
يَا ذَا الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ
Yā dhā al-ʿarshi al-ʿaẓīmi
O Possessor of the Mighty Throne!
Ewe Mwenye Arshi Kuu!
وَ ذَا الْمَنِّ الْكَرِيْمِ
Wa dhā al-manni al-karīmi
And the Lord of the Generous Grace,
Na Mola wa Neema Tukufu,
فَاَنْتَ قَادِرٌ يَآ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ
Fānta qādirun yaʾā arḥama ar-rāḥimīna
for You verily have all power. O most Merciful of all those who show mercy.
kwani Wewe hakika una nguvu zote. Ewe Mwenye Rehema Kuliko wote wanaoonyesha rehema.
أمِيْنَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ-
ʾmīna rabba al-ʿālamīna
Respond to me, O Lord of the worlds.
Nijibu, Ee Mola wa walimwengu.
