And I implore Allah Most High to bestow His pleasure upon the pure Prophetic family.

And to encompass the Companions, the Followers, and all who follow them with love.

And protection from straying into the plots and steps of error.

And I spread from the story of the noble Prophetic birth, fine and wondrous verses.

For indeed, there is no power and no strength except through Allah.

O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him.

And within his loins was heard the Prophet ﷺ remembering and answering the call of Allah, the Exalted.

This was narrated by the scholar al-Zayn al-‘Iraqi in his blessed collection and transmitted authentically.

In honor of Muhammad, Allah preserved his noble forefathers, protecting his name from every blemish.

And the full moon of his light shone upon the forehead of his grandfather, Abdul-Muttalib, and his son, Abdullah.

When Allah the Exalted willed to manifest the Muhammadan Reality,
and to bring it forth as body and soul, both in form and in meaning,
He transferred it to its resting place within the pearl-like womb of Āminah al-Zuhrīyah,
and the Near, the Responsive One, chose her to be the mother of His Chosen One.
The heavens and the earth were called to rejoice at her carrying his radiant lights within her,
and every breeze yearned to blow from the direction of his gentle fragrance.
The earth, after long barrenness, was clothed with silk-like garments of greenery,
fruits ripened and trees bent down their branches for harvesters to pluck with ease.
Every creature belonging to Quraysh spoke in eloquent Arabic announcing her pregnancy with him,
while thrones and idols fell upon their faces and mouths in submission.
The beasts of the East and West, and even the creatures of the sea, rejoiced in delight,
and all worlds drank deeply from the goblet of joy and ecstasy.
The jinn were given glad tidings of the coming of his age, and the reign of soothsayers came to an end,
and the monks trembled in awe,
and every learned scholar became absorbed in the news of him, lost in the beauty of his perfection.
Then his mother was visited in her dream and told: ‘You have conceived the Master of the worlds and the best of creation.’
‘So name him Muhammad, for in the end, he shall be praised by all.’
O Allah, perfume his noble grave with the sweetest fragrance of blessings and salutations.
O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him.
When her pregnancy had reached two months, according to the well-known narrated reports,
His father, Abdullah, passed away in the illuminated city of Madinah.
He had been visiting his maternal relatives, the Banu ‘Adi from the Najjariyyah clan,
and he stayed among them for a month, ill, while they cared for his sickness and pain.
When her pregnancy of him ﷺ reached, according to the sound opinion, nine lunar months,
The time had come for the world’s darkness to be lifted from it,
On the night of his blessed birth, Asiyah and Maryam attended his mother, among other women of the holy realm.
Then labor overtook her, and she gave birth to him ﷺ as a radiant light shining brightly.
The Ibrahimic Prayer
O Allah, bless, grant peace, and bestow grace upon our master Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad, as You blessed our master Ibrahim and the family of our master Ibrahim. Bless our master Muhammad and his family as You blessed our master Ibrahim and his family in all the worlds. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious — as numerous as Your creation, as pleasing as Yourself, as weighty as Your Throne, and as vast as the ink of Your words, whenever the remembering ones remember You and the heedless ones forget You.
And a countenance from You, radiant like the shining sun,
A splendid night dawned because of him, bright and glorious,
The night of his birth was one in which the religion rejoiced and was elevated in glory,
A birth from which misfortune and affliction befell the rising star of disbelief,
On the day that the daughter of Wahb attained by giving birth to him a glory that no other woman ever attained,
She came to her people with one nobler than whom Mary the pure had carried before,
And glad tidings spread from the unseen that the Chosen One had been born, and happiness was established in truth.
Indeed, the scholars of sound narration and deep reflection have deemed it commendable to stand when mentioning his noble birth.
So blessed is he whose utmost goal and purpose is to honor and glorify him ﷺ.
O Allah, perfume his noble grave with the sweetest fragrance of blessings and salutations.
O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him.
He ﷺ appeared, placing his hands upon the earth and raising his head toward the lofty heavens,
signifying by that gesture his future honor and exalted rank,
and indicating the loftiness of his station above all creation.
Indeed, he is the Beloved whose character and qualities are most beautiful.
His mother called for Abdul Muttalib while he was circumambulating that noble structure, the Ka‘bah.
He came quickly, looked upon him, and attained the utmost joy and delight.
He entered with him into the glorious Ka‘bah and stood supplicating with pure sincerity,
and thanked Allah Most High for the great favor and gift He had bestowed upon him.
He ﷺ was born pure, circumcised, and with his umbilical cord already severed by the Hand of Divine Power.
Fragrant, anointed, and his eyes adorned with the kohl of Divine care,
And it is said that his grandfather circumcised him after seven complete nights,
He held a feast, offered food, named him Muhammad, and honored his blessed dwelling.
O Allah, perfume his noble grave with the sweetest fragrance of blessings and salutations.
O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him.
At his blessed birth ﷺ, miraculous and wondrous unseen events appeared,
as signs foretelling his Prophethood and as proof that he is Allah’s Chosen and Elect One.
The heavens were made more secure, and the devils and evil spirits were repelled from them.
The shining stars hurled meteors against every devil attempting to ascend.
And the radiant stars inclined themselves toward him ﷺ,
and by their light, the valleys and hills of the Sacred Sanctuary were illuminated.
A light shone forth with him ﷺ, illuminating the palaces of Caesar in distant Syria.
Those whose dwellings were in the plains of Makkah beheld it with their own eyes.
The great palace of Chosroes in Persia cracked and split apart,
the very palace which Anushirwan had raised and perfected with great care.
Fourteen of its grand balconies collapsed from its upper structure.
The throne of King Kisra was shattered due to the terror and dread that befell him.
The sacred fires worshipped in the Persian kingdoms were extinguished,
at the rising of his radiant full moon and the shining of his noble countenance.
Lake Sawa, which lay between Hamadhan and Qumm in the Persian lands, dried up completely.
Its flowing waves ceased, and the springs of those waters stopped pouring forth.
And the valley of Samawa, which was a barren desert, suddenly overflowed with water.
A land that had never held water before, now quenched the thirst of all who drank.
His blessed birth ﷺ took place in the well-known area of al-‘Iras in Makkah,
in the sacred land where no tree is cut and no vegetation is disturbed.
The scholars have differed regarding the year, month, and day of his birth ﷺ, each with transmitted reports.
The strongest opinion is that it was just before dawn on Monday, the twelfth of Rabi‘ al-Awwal, in the Year of the Elephant, when Allah repelled the invaders from the Sacred Sanctuary and protected it.
O Allah, perfume his noble grave with the sweetest fragrance of blessings and salutations.
O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him.
His mother suckled him ﷺ for a few days, then he was nursed by Thuwaybah al-Aslamiyyah,
the slave woman whom Abu Lahab freed when she brought him the good news of the Prophet’s birth ﷺ.
She suckled him ﷺ along with her own son Masruh and Abu Salamah, caring deeply for him.
Before him, she had nursed Hamzah — whose support of the religion was praiseworthy and strong.
The Prophet ﷺ used to send her gifts and clothing from Madinah, honoring her with generosity.
He continued to do so until the guide of fate brought her body to the grave, and she was laid to rest.
It is said that she died following the religion of her people, the people of ignorance,
but others said she had embraced Islam — Ibn Mandah reported this difference of opinion.
Then he ﷺ was nursed by the noble young woman Ḥalīmah al-Sa‘diyyah,
though all the other wet nurses had rejected her because of her poverty and humble state.
But her life became abundant after drought — even before the evening came.
Her breasts overflowed with rich milk — the right one feeding him ﷺ and the other his foster brother.
She became wealthy and strong after having been poor and frail.
Her old camel and her sheep grew fat and healthy.
Every hardship and misfortune vanished from her household.
And happiness embroidered the fabric of her blessed and pleasant life.
O Allah, perfume his noble grave with the sweetest fragrance of prayers and salutations.
O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him.
The Prophet ﷺ would grow in one day as a child would grow in a whole month — by divine care and grace.
He stood on his feet at three months, walked at five, and by nine months his speech became eloquent and strong.
Two angels came to Halimah’s house, split open his noble chest, and removed from it a dark clot of blood,
removing from it the portion of Satan, and washed it with snow.
Then they filled his heart with wisdom and meanings of deep faith.
They sewed it up and sealed it with the Seal of Prophethood.
Then they weighed him, and he outweighed a thousand of his righteous followers.
He ﷺ grew up with the most perfect of qualities even from his earliest childhood.
Then Halimah returned him ﷺ to his mother, though she did so unwillingly out of deep love for him.
She feared that some unforeseen incident might befall him.
Halimah later came to visit him during the days of Khadijah, the noble and beloved lady.
He honored her greatly with his generous gifts and affection.
She also came to him on the day of Hunayn, and he rose to meet her, filled with tenderness and joy.
The Prophet ﷺ spread his noble cloak for her — a carpet of kindness and generosity.
The sound report is that she embraced Islam together with her husband, sons, and descendants.
A group of trustworthy narrators have counted both of them among the noble Companions.
When the Prophet ﷺ reached four years of age, his mother took him on a journey to the radiant city of Madinah.
On her return journey, death overtook her at Al-Abwā’ or near Shi‘b al-Hajūn.
His nurse, Umm Ayman the Abyssinian, carried him ﷺ back with great care.
She was later married by the Prophet ﷺ to his freed servant, Zayd ibn Hārithah.
She brought him to his grandfather ʿAbdul-Muṭṭalib, who embraced him lovingly, showed him great compassion, and raised him with utmost honor.
He used to say, 'This grandson of mine has a great destiny! Blessed is he who honors and loves him.'
During his childhood, his noble soul never suffered from hunger or thirst.
Many times he would be nourished solely by the water of Zamzam — it satisfied and quenched him fully.
When the steeds of death halted at the courtyard of his grandfather ʿAbdul-Muṭṭalib,
His paternal uncle Abū Ṭālib, the full brother of his father ʿAbdullāh, took him into his care.
He fulfilled this guardianship with great resolve, energy, and noble zeal.
He preferred the Prophet ﷺ over himself and his own sons, and raised him with love and protection.
When he reached twelve years of age, his uncle took him on a trade journey to the lands of al-Shām (Syria).
The monk Baḥīrā recognized him by the marks and descriptions of Prophethood that he possessed.
He said, 'Indeed, I see in him the master of the worlds, the Messenger of Allah, and His Prophet.'
For even the trees and stones prostrated to him — and they bow only to a Prophet, compassionate and pure-hearted.
We find his description clearly written in the ancient heavenly scriptures.
Between his shoulders was the Seal of Prophethood, surrounded and crowned with light.
He advised his uncle to return him safely to Makkah, fearing harm from the followers of Judaism.
So his uncle returned with him and did not go beyond Busrā, a town in the holy region of Shām.
O Allah, perfume his noble grave with the sweetest fragrance of blessings and salutations.
O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him.
When the Prophet ﷺ reached twenty-five years of age, he traveled to Busra for trade on behalf of the wealthy Khadijah.
With him was her servant Maysarah, who served the Prophet ﷺ and attended to his needs.
He rested beneath a tree near the cell of Nestor, a Christian monk.
The monk recognized him when the tree’s shade leaned toward the Prophet ﷺ to cover him.
He said, 'None has ever rested beneath this tree except a Prophet of pure character.'
A Messenger whom Allah the Exalted has honored with virtues and chosen with grace.
Then he asked Maysarah, 'Do his eyes have a slight redness?'—to confirm a hidden sign.
He replied, 'Yes,' and thus the monk’s belief about him was confirmed.
He told Maysarah, 'Do not part from him, and stay with him with sincerity and good intention.'
For he is among those whom Allah the Exalted has honored with Prophethood and chosen.
Then he returned to Makkah, and Khadijah saw him approaching while she was among women in an upper chamber.
Two angels shaded his noble head from the glare of the sun.
Maysarah told her that he had witnessed this throughout the journey and relayed what the monk had said and advised.
Allah the Exalted doubled the profit of that trade and blessed it with growth.
From what Khadijah saw and heard, it became clear to her that he was Allah’s Messenger to all creation.
The one whom Allah the Exalted had chosen and brought near to Himself.
She then proposed marriage to the Prophet ﷺ for herself, out of her pure soul.
So that she may breathe the sweet fragrance of faith through him.
The Prophet ﷺ informed his uncles of what this righteous and pious woman had proposed.
They admired her for her virtue, faith, beauty, wealth, and noble lineage — qualities every man desired.
Abu Talib delivered the proposal and praised the Prophet ﷺ after glorifying Allah with noble praises.
He said, 'By Allah, he has a great destiny for which his journey will be praised.'
Her father, or according to some, her uncle or brother, married her to the Prophet ﷺ, in accordance with her destined eternal happiness.
And she bore him all his children except the one he named after his friend Ibrahim (Khalil).
O Allah, perfume his noble grave with a sweet fragrance of blessings and salutations.
O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him.
When the Prophet ﷺ reached the age of thirty-five, Quraysh rebuilt the Ka‘bah because it had cracked due to the floods of al-Abtah.
They disputed over who should lift the Black Stone, for each tribe desired the honor of raising it.
The arguments intensified, alliances were formed for battle, and tribal pride grew fierce.
Then they called for fairness and decided to entrust the matter to one with sound judgment and wisdom.
They agreed that the first person to enter through the gate of the Ka‘bah’s guardians would be the judge.
The Prophet ﷺ was the first to enter, and they said, 'This is the trustworthy one! We all accept and are pleased with his judgment.'
They informed him that they had chosen him to judge and decide in this serious matter.
The Prophet ﷺ placed the Black Stone in a cloth and instructed all the tribes to lift it together to its place.
They lifted it together until it reached its proper place in the corner of the sacred structure.
The Prophet ﷺ then placed it with his blessed hand in its current position and completed the structure.
O Allah, perfume his noble grave with a sweet fragrance of blessings and salutations.
O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him.
The first man to believe in him was Abu Bakr, the Companion of the Cave and the Truthful One.
Among the youth was ‘Ali, and among the women was Khadijah, through whom Allah strengthened and comforted his heart.
Among the freedmen was Zayd ibn Harithah, and among the slaves was Bilal, whom Umayyah tortured for the sake of Allah.
His master Abu Bakr granted him freedom—how generous his master was to him!
Then accepted Islam ‘Uthman, Sa‘d, Sa‘id, Talhah, Ibn ‘Awf, and the son of his aunt Safiyyah.
And others whom the Truthful Abu Bakr quenched with the pure nectar of faith and sincerity.
The worship of the Prophet ﷺ together with his companions remained secret.
Until it was revealed to him, 'Proclaim openly what you are commanded,' so he called the people openly to Allah.
And his people did not distance themselves from him until he criticized their idols and commanded them to abandon everything besides the Oneness of Allah.
Then they dared to confront him with hostility and harm.
The hardship upon the Muslims intensified, so they migrated in the fifth year to the land of the Negus (Abyssinia).
His uncle Abu Talib protected him, so all of his people respected and refrained from harming him.
Then he was commanded to stand in prayer during part of the night.
Then it was abrogated by His saying, the Exalted: 'Recite what is easy for you of it, and establish prayer.'
And two units of prayer were made obligatory upon him in the morning and two in the evening.
Then it was replaced by the obligation of the five daily prayers during the night of his Ascension (Mi‘raj).
Abu Talib passed away in the middle of Shawwal in the tenth year of the Prophethood, and his death was a great calamity.
Khadijah followed him three days later, and the trials upon the Muslims grew more severe.
The Quraysh inflicted upon him ﷺ every kind of harm.
He went to Ta’if to call the tribe of Thaqif to faith, but they did not respond kindly to his invitation.
They incited the foolish and the slaves against him, so they insulted him with vile tongues.
They pelted him with stones until his sandals were soaked with blood.
Then he returned to Makkah in sorrow, and the Angel of the Mountains asked him if he wished the people to be destroyed.
He replied, 'I hope that Allah will bring forth from their descendants those who will worship Him.'
O Allah, perfume his noble grave with a sweet fragrance of blessings and salutations.
O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him.
Then he was taken by night, in body and soul while awake, from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque and its holy surroundings.
He was then taken up through the heavens, where he saw Adam in the first heaven, enveloped in dignity and light.
And in the second heaven he saw Jesus son of Mary, the pure and virtuous maiden’s son.
And with him was his cousin Yahya (John), who was granted wisdom even in his youth.
And in the third heaven he saw Yusuf the Truthful, in his beauty and grace.
And in the fourth heaven, Idris, whom Allah raised to a high and noble station.
And in the fifth heaven, he saw Harun (Aaron), beloved among the Israelite community.
And in the sixth heaven, he saw Musa (Moses), whom Allah the Exalted spoke to directly.
And in the seventh heaven, he saw Ibrahim, who came to his Lord with a pure heart and noble intention.
And Allah protected him from the fire of Nimrod and saved him in safety.
Then he was raised to the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary until he heard the creaking of pens writing the decreed matters.
To the station of nearness, where Allah brought him close and honored him.
And Allah lifted for him the veils of majestic lights.
And He showed him, with his own eyes, from the Presence of Lordship what He willed him to see.
And Allah spread before him the carpet of majesty in the realms of Divine Presence.
And He enjoined upon him and his nation fifty prayers.
Then the clouds of Divine favor poured forth, reducing them to five in practice.
Yet they carry the reward of fifty, as Allah willed and decreed from eternity.
Then he returned that same night, and the Truthful Abu Bakr affirmed the truth of his Night Journey.
And everyone endowed with reason and reflection believed in him.
But the Quraysh denied him, and those misled by Satan turned away and disbelieved.
O Allah, perfume his noble grave with a sweet fragrance of blessings and salutations.
O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him.
Then he presented himself to the tribes as the Messenger of Allah during the days of pilgrimage gatherings,
and six men from the Ansar believed in him—whom Allah, the Exalted, chose with His pleasure,
and the next year twelve men among them came for Hajj and pledged their true allegiance to him,
then they returned, and Islam began to flourish in Madinah, which became his stronghold and refuge,
and in the third year, seventy-five—or seventy-three—and two women from the tribes of Aws and Khazraj came to him,
and they pledged allegiance to him, and he appointed over them twelve chiefs, noble and distinguished men,
then those who had embraced Islam migrated to him from Makkah,
leaving behind their homelands, seeking the reward prepared for those who forsake disbelief and oppose it,
and Quraysh feared that the Prophet ﷺ would soon join his companions,
so they plotted to kill him, but Allah, the Exalted, protected him from their plot and delivered him,
and he ﷺ was granted permission to migrate, yet the disbelievers watched for him, hoping to bring him to death,
so he went out among them and cast dust upon their heads, scattering it,
and he headed to the Cave of Thawr, where Abu Bakr, the Truthful, attained the honor of companionship,
and they remained there for three days, protected by the doves and the spider that guarded their refuge,
then they departed on a Monday night, and the Prophet ﷺ rode the best of mounts,
and Suraaqah pursued him, so he invoked Allah, the Exalted, against him and supplicated,
then the legs of his horse sank into the firm and solid ground,
and he asked the Prophet ﷺ for safety, which he graciously granted him.
O Allah, perfume his noble grave with a sweet fragrance of blessings and salutations.
O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him.
The Prophet ﷺ passed by Qudayd and came upon Umm Ma‘bad al-Khuza‘iyyah,
and he wished to purchase some meat or milk from her, but she had none in her tent,
then he noticed a goat in the corner of the house, left behind by weakness and unable to graze,
so he sought her permission to milk it, and she allowed him, saying, 'If it had any milk, we would have already milked it,'
then he wiped its udder with his blessed hand and called upon Allah, his Master and Protector,
and it began to give milk, so he milked it and gave everyone present to drink until they were satisfied,
then the Prophet ﷺ milked it again, filling a vessel, and left it with her as a clear sign of his prophethood,
then Abu Ma‘bad came and saw the milk, and his amazement reached its utmost,
and he said, 'From where did you get this, when there is no milking goat in the house that could yield a drop of milk?'
She replied, 'A blessed man passed by us—such and such was his appearance and his demeanor,'
He said to her, 'That was the companion of Quraysh!' and he swore firmly,
that had he seen him, he would have believed in him, followed him, and honored him,
The Prophet ﷺ arrived in Madinah on Monday, the twelfth of Rabi‘ al-Awwal, and its pure surroundings shone with his presence,
The Ansar came out to receive him, and he ﷺ stayed in Quba’, where he founded its mosque upon piety,
O Allah, perfume his noble grave with a sweet fragrance of blessings and salutations.
O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him.
The Prophet ﷺ was the most complete of all people in form and character, possessing a noble essence and lofty attributes,
He was of medium stature, fair in complexion with a touch of redness, large-eyed, naturally lined with kohl, long-lashed, and his eyebrows were finely arched,
His teeth were evenly spaced, his mouth wide and handsome, his forehead broad and shining like the crescent moon,
His cheeks were smooth, and in his nose there was a slight elevation—beautifully shaped and well-proportioned,
The space between his shoulders was broad, his palms were smooth, his joints strong, his heels lightly fleshed, his beard full, his head well-shaped, and his hair reached his earlobes,
Between his shoulders was the Seal of Prophethood, surrounded and covered by light,
His perspiration was like pearls, and his fragrance was sweeter than the finest musk,
He walked with purpose and humility, as if descending from a slope,
When he shook someone’s hand, they would continue to smell the fragrance of his blessed hand for the rest of the day,
And when he placed his hand upon a child’s head, that child would be recognized among others by the fragrance that remained,
His noble face shone like the full moon on a bright night,
His describer said: ‘I have never seen anyone like him before or after, and no human can look upon his like,’
The Prophet ﷺ was deeply modest and humble; he would mend his sandals, patch his clothes, milk his own goat, and assist his family with noble conduct,
He loved the poor and the needy, sat with them, visited their sick, followed their funerals, and never despised a poor person afflicted by poverty and hardship,
He would accept apologies and never respond to anyone with what they disliked, and he would walk with widows and those in servitude.
He did not fear kings; he became angry for the sake of Allah the Exalted and was pleased for His pleasure.
He would walk behind his companions and say, ‘Leave my back for the angelic beings.’
He rode a camel, a horse, a mule, and a donkey that some kings had gifted to him.
He tied stones to his stomach out of hunger, even though he had been given the keys to the treasures of the earth.
The mountains offered to become gold for him, but he refused.
He rarely engaged in idle talk, greeted those he met first, lengthened his prayers, and shortened the Friday sermons.
He honored the noble and respected the virtuous, joked pleasantly, and never said anything but the truth loved and approved by Allah the Exalted.
And here the steed of speech halted from running further in the field of eloquence.
And the traveler of expression reached the utmost limit in the valleys of explanation.
O Allah, perfume his noble grave with a sweet fragrance of blessings and salutations.
O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him.
O Allah, You who extend Your hands in generosity,
O You who, when the servant raises his hands to You, You suffice him,
O You who are exalted in Your Essence and Your unique Attributes,
Free from having any likeness or equal,
O You who alone possess eternity, pre-existence, and everlastingness,
O You besides whom none is hoped for, and upon none other is reliance placed,
O You upon whose eternal power all creation depends,
And who guides, by Your grace, whoever seeks Your guidance and asks for Your direction,
We ask You by Your sacred lights,
Which have dispelled the darkness of doubt and confusion,
And we seek to draw near to You by the honor of the Muhammadan essence,
He who is the last of the Prophets in form and the first of them in meaning,
And by his family, the stars of safety for all creation,
And the ship of peace and salvation,
And by his companions, people of guidance and virtue,
Who gave their lives for Allah, seeking bounty from Him,
And by the bearers of his Sacred Law, people of noble character and distinction,
Who rejoiced in the grace and bounty of Allah,
That You grant us success in words and deeds through sincerity of intention,
And that You grant success to every one of those present in attaining their goals and desires,
And deliver us from the captivity of desires and the diseases of the heart,
And fulfill for us the hopes we have placed in You,
And protect us from every hardship and affliction,
And do not make us among those who are led astray by their own desires,
And bring near to us the ripe fruits of perfect certainty,
And erase from us every sin we have committed,
And conceal for each of us our faults, weaknesses, shortcomings, and stumbles,
And make easy for us the performance of righteous deeds that are difficult to reach,
And encompass this gathering of ours with treasures from Your lofty gifts,
With mercy and forgiveness, and make us ever content with none besides You,
O Allah, You have granted to every supplicant a station and a special virtue,
And to every hopeful one You have granted what he desired and wished for,
And we ask You, filled with hope, for Your divine gifts and blessings,
So fulfill for us what we have hoped from You,
O Allah, grant safety from fear, and reform both the leaders and the people,
And greatly reward the one who organized this good gathering on this day and made it happen,
O Allah, make this town and all the lands of the Muslims safe and prosperous,
And send us rain whose flowing abundance covers the plains and the hills,
And forgive the one who transcribed these embellished pages of the Mawlid,
Our master Ja‘far, whose lineage and belonging trace back to al-Barzanji,
Grant him success in attaining closeness to You, and fulfill his hopes and wishes,
And place his resting place and abode among the ones drawn near to You,
And cover for him his faults, shortcomings, weakness, and errors,
And for its writer, its reader, and all who lend their ears to listen to it, grant forgiveness,
And send blessings, O Allah, upon the first who received the divine manifestation of the Universal Reality,
And upon his family, his companions, and all those who supported and loved him,
As long as ears are adorned by hearing his radiant description, like pearl-studded earrings,
And as long as the gatherings of honor are adorned with the necklaces of his praise,
And may the most excellent blessings and the most perfect peace be upon our master Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers,
And upon all his family and companions,
Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above what they ascribe to Him. Peace be upon the Messengers, and praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
