مروي عن الأئمة المعصومين عليهم السلام في كتب الأدعية المعتبرة.
Thirteenth: Anas is reported to have quoted the Holy Prophet (s) as saying: Whoever says this supplicatory prayer every morning and every evening, Allah the All-exalted will order four angels to defend him from the front side, the backside, the right side, and the left side, he will be kept under the security of Allah the Almighty and All-majestic, and no harm can ever affect him even if all jinn and all human beings try to cause him harm:
La kumi na tatu: Imepokewa kutoka kwa Anas akimnukuu Mtume Mtukufu (s.a.w.w) akisema: Yeyote anayesoma dua hii kila asubuhi na kila jioni, Mwenyezi Mungu Aliyetukuka ataamuru malaika wanne kumlinda kutoka mbele yake, nyuma yake, kulia kwake, na kushoto kwake, naye atakuwa chini ya ulinzi wa Mwenyezi Mungu Mwenye nguvu na Mwenye utukufu, na hakuna madhara yoyote yatakayomfika hata kama majini wote na wanadamu wote watajaribu kumdhuru:
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمْنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
Bismi Allāhi ar-Raḥmāni ar-raḥīmi
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi wa rehema, Mwenye kurehemu.
بِسْمِ اللهِ خَيْرِ الْاَسْمَاءِ
Bismi Allāhi khayri al-āsmāʾi
In the Name of Allah; the best of all names.
Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu, jina bora la majina yote.
بِسْمِ اللهِ رَبِّ الْاَرْضِ وَ السَّمَآءِ
Bismi Allāhi rabbi al-ārḍi wa as-samaʾāʾi
In the Name of Allah, the Lord of the earth and the heavens.
Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu, Mola wa ardhi na mbingu.
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسمِهِ سَمُّ وَلَا دَآءْ
Bismi Allāhi adh-dhī lā yaḍurru maʿa asmihi sammu walā daʾāʾ
In the Name of Allah with Whose Name, neither poison nor malady can harm.
Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu ambaye kwa jina Lake, hakuna sumu wala ugonjwa unaoweza kudhuru.
بِسْمِ اللهِ اَصْبَحْتُ
Bismi Allāhi aṣbaḥtu
In the Name of Allah, I begin my day
Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu, nimeingia asubuhi
وَ عَلَى اللّهِ تَوَكَّلْتْ
Wa ʿalā Allāhi tawakkalt
and in Allah, I put my trust.
na kwa Mwenyezi Mungu nimeweka tegemeo langu.
بِسْمِ اللهِ عَلَى قَلْبِى وَ نَفْسِىٰ
Bismi Allāhi ʿalā qalbiā wa nafsiā
In the Name of Allah on my heart and my self.
Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu juu ya moyo wangu na nafsi yangu.
بِسْمِ اللهِ عَلَى دِيْنِىْ وَ عَقْلِىْ
Bismi Allāhi ʿalā dīniā wa ʿaqliā
In the Name of Allah on my faith and my intellect.
Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu juu ya dini yangu na akili yangu.
بِسْمِ اللهِ عَلَى اَهْلِىْ وَ مَالِىْ
Bismi Allāhi ʿalā ahliā wa māliā
In the Name of Allah on my family members and my property.
Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu juu ya familia yangu na mali yangu.
بِسْمِ اللهِ عَلَى مَآ اَعْطَانِى رَبَّى
Bismi Allāhi ʿalā maʾā aʿṭāniā rabbā
In the Name of Allah on what Allah has given me.
Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu juu ya kile Alichonipa Mola wangu.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الْذِيٰ لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَءٌ
Bismi Allāhi adh-dhiyā lā yaḍurru maʿa asmihi shaʾun
In the Name of Allah with Whose Name nothing can ever harm
Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu ambaye kwa jina Lake hakuna chochote kinachoweza kudhuru
فِي الْأَرْضِ وَ لَا فِى السَّمَاءِ
Fī al-ʾarḍi wa lā fiā as-samāʾi
neither in the earth nor in the heavens,
iwe katika ardhi wala katika mbingu,
وَ هُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ
Wa huwa as-samīʿu al-ʿalīmu
and He is the Allhearing, the Allknowing.
Naye ni Mwenye kusikia, Mwenye kujua.
اَللهُ اَللهُ رَبِّى
Allāhu Allāhu rabbiā
Allah, Allah is my Lord.
Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mola wangu.
لَا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا
Lā ʾushriku bihi shayʾan
I do not associate any thing with Him.
Simshirikishi Yeye na chochote.
اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ
Allāhu akbaru
Allah is the Most Great.
Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mkubwa zaidi.
اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ وَ اَعَزُّ وَ اَجَلٌ
Allāhu akbaru wa aʿazzu wa ajalun
Allah is greater, mightier, and more majestic
Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mkubwa zaidi, Mwenye nguvu zaidi, na Mtukufu zaidi
مِمَّآ اَخَافٌ وَ اَخْذَرُ
Mimmaʾā akhāfun wa akhdharu
than what I fear and what I am afraid of.
kuliko kile ninachokiogopa na kukihofia.
عَزَّ جَارُكَ
ʿazza jāruka
Strong is one who is in Your vicinity,
Ana nguvu yule aliye katika ulinzi Wako,
وَ جَلّ ثَنَاؤُكَ
Wa jall thanāʾuka
majestic is the praise of You,
na sifa Zako zimetukuka,
وَلَا اِلْهَ غَيْرُكَ
Walā al-ha ghayruka
and there is no god save You.
na hapana mungu mwingine isipokuwa Wewe.
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّى اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِى
Allāhumma innā aʿūdhu bika min sharri nafsiā
O Allah, I pray Your protection against the evil of my self,
Ee Mwenyezi Mungu, hakika mimi najikinga Kwako kutokana na shari ya nafsi yangu,
وَ مِنْ شَرَّ كُلِّ سُلْطَانٍ شَدِيْدٍ
Wa min sharra kulli sulṭānin shadīdin
the evil of all stern rulers,
na kutokana na shari ya kila mtawala dhalimu mwenye nguvu,
وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ مَرِيْدٍ
Wa min sharri kulli shayṭānin marīdin
the evil of all rebellious devils,
na kutokana na shari ya kila shetani muasi,
وَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيْدٍ
Wa min sharri kulli jabbārin ʿanīdin
the evil of all obstinate tyrants,
na kutokana na shari ya kila mbabe mkaidi,
وَ مِنْ شَرِّ قَضَآءِ السُّوْءِ
Wa min sharri qaḍaʾāʾi as-sūʾi
the evil of all misfortunate decrees,
na kutokana na shari ya hukumu mbaya,
وَ مِنْ كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍ اَنْتَ أَخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا
Wa min kulli daʾābbatin anta ʾakhidhun bināṣiyatihā
and [the evil of] all living creatures that You grasp from the forelock.
na kutokana na shari ya kila kiumbe chenye uhai ambacho Wewe umekishika utosi wake.
إِنَّكَ عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيْهِ
ʾinnaka ʿalā ṣirāṭin mustaqīhi
Verily, You are on a straight path
Hakika Wewe uko juu ya njia iliyonyooka,
وَ أَنْتَ عَلَى كُلِّشَىء حَفِيْظُ
Wa ʾanta ʿalā kullishāʾ ḥafīẓu
and You are the custodian over all things.
na Wewe ni Mlinzi juu ya kila kitu.
اِنَّ وَلِيِّىَ اللهُ الَّذِي نَزَّلَ الْكِتَابَ
Inna waliyyiā Allāhu adh-dhī nazzala al-kitāba
Surely, my guardian is Allah Who revealed the Book
Hakika mlinzi wangu ni Mwenyezi Mungu Aliyeteremsha Kitabu,
وَ هُوَ يَتَوَلَى الصَّالِحِيْنَ
Wa huwa yatawalā aṣ-ṣāliḥīna
and He keeps the righteous people under His custody.
Naye huwalinda watu wema.
فَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ حَسْبِتَ اللهُ
Fān tawallawā faqul ḥasbita Allāhu
But if they turn back, then say, 'Allah is sufficient for me.
Lakini wakigeuka, basi sema: Mwenyezi Mungu ananitosheleza.
لَا اِلْهَ اِلَا هُوَ
Lā al-ha al-ā huwa
There is no god but He.
Hapana mungu isipokuwa Yeye.
عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتْ
ʿalayhi tawakkalt
On Him do I rely
Kwake Yeye ninategemea,
وَ هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ.
Wa huwa rabbu al-ʿarshi al-ʿaẓīmi.
and He is the Lord of mighty power.
Naye ni Mola wa kiti cha enzi kikuu.
