    "english": "And [by] the sky and He who constructed it",

    "arabic": "وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَاهَا",
    "english": "And [by] the earth and He who spread it",

    "arabic": "وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّاهَا",
    "english": "And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it",

    "arabic": "فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا",
    "english": "And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness",

    "arabic": "قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّاهَا",
    "english": "He has succeeded who purifies it",
    "kiswahili": "Hakika amefanikiwa aliyeitakasa,"

    "arabic": "وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّاهَا",
    "english": "And he has failed who instills it [with corruption]",
    "kiswahili": "Na amekhasiri aliyeifisidi,"

    "arabic": "كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَاهَا",
    "english": "Thamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression",
    "kiswahili": "Kaumu Thamud walikanusha kwa sababu ya uasi wao,"

    "arabic": "إِذِ انبَعَثَ أَشْقَاهَا",
    "english": "When the most wretched of them was sent forth",
    "kiswahili": "Walipomwinua yule aliyekuwa mbaya wao mno,"

    "arabic": "فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ نَاقَةَ اللَّهِ وَسُقْيَاهَا",
    "english": "And the messenger of Allah [Salih] said to them, '[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent] her drink.'",
    "kiswahili": "Basi Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu akawaambia: 'Hii ni ngamia wa Mwenyezi Mungu; basi muacheni anywe.’"

    "arabic": "فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِذَنبِهِمْ فَسَوَّاهَا",
    "english": "But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal upon all of them.",
    "kiswahili": "Wakamkanusha na wakamkata yule ngamia. Basi Mola wao Mlezi akawashukia kwa dhambi yao, akawasawazisha wote."

    "arabic": "وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَاهَا",
    "english": "And He does not fear the consequence thereof.",
