[ { "surah": 5, "ayah": 0, "arabic": "بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ", "english": "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.", "kiswahili": "Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 1, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَوْفُوا۟ بِٱلْعُقُودِ ۚ أُحِلَّتْ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّى ٱلصَّيْدِ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ", "english": "O you who have believed, fulfill [all] contracts. Lawful to you are the animals of grazing livestock except for that which is recited to you [in this Qur'an]—not intended for hunting while you are in the state of Ihram. Indeed, Allah ordains what He intends.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mmioamini, timizeni mkataba wenu. Wanyama wa kufugwa wameruhusiwa kwenu isipokuwa yale yaliyotolewa kwenu kwa kusomwa; hayaruhusiwi kuwindwa nyakati mkiwa mko katika hali ya ihram. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu huamuru kadiri ya mapenzi Yake." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 2, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُحِلُّوا۟ شَعَـٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا ٱلشَّهْرَ ٱلْحَرَامَ وَلَا ٱلْهَدْىَ وَلَا ٱلْقَلَـٰٓئِدَ وَلَآ ءَآمِّينَ ٱلْبَيْتَ ٱلْحَرَامَ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًۭا مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَٰنًۭا ۚ وَإِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَٱصْطَادُوا۟ ۚ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ أَن تَعْتَدُوا۟ ۘ وَتَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ", "english": "O you who have believed, do not violate the symbols of Allah or the sacred month or the sacrificial animals or the garlands or those coming to the Sacred House seeking bounty from their Lord and pleasure. But when you are clear of the state of Ihram, then hunt. And do not let hatred of a people prevent you from being just. And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mmioamini, msivunje ishara za Mwenyezi Mungu wala mwezi mtukufu wala wanyama wa sadaka au minyororo wala wale wanaoenda Harem kwa kutafuta neema na kuridhika kwa Mola wao. Lakini mkiwa nje ya hali ya ihram, mwinde. Wala chuki za watu zisakuzui kuhusiana kwa haki. Shirikianeni katika wema na taqwa, wala msishirikiane katika dhambi na ukiukaji. Mcha Mungu; Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu ana adhabu kali." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 3, "arabic": "حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْمَيْتَةُ وَٱلدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ ٱلْخِنزِيرِ وَمَآ أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ ٱللَّهِ بِهِۦ وَٱلْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَٱلْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَٱلْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَٱلنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَآ أَكَلَ ٱلسَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى ٱلنُّصُبِ وَأَن تَسْتَقْسِمُوا۟ بِٱلْأَزْلَـٰمِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ فِسْقٌ ۗ ٱلْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن دِينِكُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَٱخْشَوْنِ ۚ ٱلْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِى وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلْإِسْلَـٰمَ دِينًۭا ۚ فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ فِى مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍۢ لِّإِثْمٍۢ ۙ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ", "english": "Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah, and animals that are strangled, beaten to death, fallen from a height, or gored, and that which has been partially eaten by wild animals—except what you slaughter. And do not swear by arrows to decide disputes. This is sinful. Today those who disbelieve have despaired of your religion, so do not fear them but fear Me. Today I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as your religion. But whoever is forced by extreme hunger, not seeking sin, then indeed Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.", "kiswahili": "Imeharamishwa kwenu wanyama waliokufa, damu, nyama ya nguruwe, na kile kilichochukuliwa kwa yeyote isipokuwa Allah, pamoja na wanyama waliokamuliwa, waliopigwa kifo, waliopotea kutokana na kuanguka au waliopigwa na wanyama wengine, na yale ambayo wanyama pori yameyakula—isipokuwa yale mliyoyakula kwa dhabihu. Wala msiahidi kwa mishale kuamua migogoro; hiyo ni dhambi. Leo wale wasiokuwa wa imani wamekataa dini yenu, kwa hivyo msowaogope bali mniogope Mimi. Leo nimekamilisha dini yenu na nimekamalisha neema Yangu juu yenu na nimekiridhia kwenu Uislamu kuwa dini yenu. Lakini yule anayelazimishwa na njaa, bila kutaka dhambi, Hakika Allah ni Msamehe na Mwenye Rehema." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 4, "arabic": "يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ مَاذَآ أُحِلَّ لَهُمْ ۖ قُلْ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتُ ۙ وَمَا عَلَّمْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۖ فَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّآ أَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ", "english": "They ask you what is lawful for them. Say: Lawful for you are all good things. And what you teach your trained hunting animals by what Allah has taught you, so eat of what they catch for you and mention the name of Allah over it. And fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is swift in account.", "kiswahili": "Wanaokuuliza kuhusu kilicho halali kwenu. Sema: Halali kwenu ni vyakula vyote vitakatifu. Na yale mliyowafundisha wanyama wenu wa uwindaji kwa kile ambacho Allah amekufundisheni, chakuleni miongoni mwa kile wanachokambulia kwa ajili yenu na mkamkumbushe Allah. Msiogope Allah. Hakika Allah anahesabu haraka." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 5, "arabic": "ٱلْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتُ ۖ وَطَعَامُ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ حِلٌّۭ لَّكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّۭ لَّهُمْ ۖ وَٱلْمُحْصَنَـٰتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ وَٱلْمُحْصَنَـٰتُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ إِذَآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَـٰفِحِينَ وَلَا مُتَّخِذِىٓ أَخْدَانٍۢ ۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُۥ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ مِنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ", "english": "Today all good things are made lawful for you. The food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. And chaste women from the believers and chaste women from those who were given the Scripture before you, when you give them their due compensation, not committing sexual immorality nor taking them as mistresses. And whoever disbelieves in faith, his deeds are nullified, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.", "kiswahili": "Leo vyakula vyote vitakatifu vimelahalishwa kwenu. Chakula cha wale waliyopewa Kitabu ni halali kwenu, na chakula chenu ni halali kwao. Na wanawake wa wanao imani waliowatakatifu na wanawake waliotolewa Kitabu kabla yenu, mkiowapa malipo yao kwa haki, bila kushiriki katika ushoga au kuwaunda wake wa siri. Yeye yeyote akikataa imani, matendo yake yanabatilika, na katika Akhera atakuwa miongoni mwa wapotevu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 6, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَٱغْسِلُوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْمَرَافِقِ وَٱمْسَحُوا۟ بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى ٱلْكَعْبَيْنِ ۚ وَإِن كُنتُمْ جُنُبًۭا فَٱطَّهَّرُوا۟ ۚ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَىٰٓ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَآءَ أَحَدٌۭ مِّنكُم مِّنَ ٱلْغَآئِطِ أَوْ لَـٰمَسْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا۟ مَآءًۭ فَتَيَمَّمُوا۟ صَعِيدًۭا طَيِّبًۭا فَٱمْسَحُوا۟ بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُم مِّنْهُ ۚ مَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِيَجْعَلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْ حَرَجٍۢ وَلَـٰكِن يُرِيدُ لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ وَلِيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُۥ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ", "english": "O you who believe! When you stand for prayer, wash your faces and hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet up to the ankles. And if you are in a state of major impurity, purify yourselves. But if you are ill, on a journey, or one of you comes from the restroom, or you have touched women and cannot find water, then perform tayammum with clean earth and wipe your faces and hands with it. Allah does not intend to place hardship upon you, but He intends to purify you and complete His favor upon you, so that you may be grateful.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mnao imani! Mnaosimama kwa sala, oeni nyuso zenu na mikono yenu hadi sikujuu, mpigie vichwa vyenu na miguu yenu hadi kwenye kiwiko. Na kama mko katika hali ya uchafu mkubwa, jiwekee safi. Lakini kama mgonjwa, mko safarini, au mmoja wenu ametoka chooni, au mmewagusa wanawake na hamupati maji, basi fanya tayammum kwa udongo safi na mpigie nyuso zenu na mikono. Allah hataki kuwaweka katika shida, bali anataka kuwatusafisha na kukamilisha neema Yake juu yenu, mpokee shukrani." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 7, "arabic": "وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمِيثَـٰقَهُ ٱلَّذِى وَاثَقَكُم بِهِۦٓ إِذْ قُلْتُمْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ", "english": "And remember the favor of Allah upon you and His covenant which He bound you with when you said, 'We hear and obey'; and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts.", "kiswahili": "Kumbukeni neema ya Allah juu yenu na agano lake mliloshikamana nalo wakati mnikasema, 'Tunasikia na tutatii'; na msiogope Allah. Hakika Allah anajua yaliyo ndani ya nyoyo." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 8, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُونُوا۟ قَوَّٰمِينَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَآءَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۖ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا۟ ۚ ٱعْدِلُوا۟ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ", "english": "O you who believe! Be upright for Allah as witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to piety. And fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mnao imani! Kueni wima kwa ajili ya Allah kama mashahidi wa haki, wala chuki ya watu isiwazuie kuwa wa haki. Kueni wa haki; hilo ni karibu zaidi na taqwa. Na msiogope Allah. Hakika Allah anafahamu mnayoyafanya." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 9, "arabic": "وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ ۙ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌۭ", "english": "Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness and a great reward.", "kiswahili": "Allah ameahidi wale wanao imani na kufanya matendo mema msamaha na thawabu kuu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 10, "arabic": "وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ", "english": "But those who disbelieve and deny Our signs – they are the companions of Hellfire.", "kiswahili": "Na wale wanaokana na kudharau aya zetu – hao ni wa wafi wa Jahannamu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 11, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ هَمَّ قَوْمٌ أَن يَبْسُطُوٓا۟ إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَكَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ", "english": "O you who believe! Remember the favor of Allah upon you when a people intended to extend their hands against you, but He restrained their hands from you. And fear Allah; and upon Allah let the believers rely.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mnao imani! Kumbukeni neema ya Allah juu yenu wakati watu walipokusudia kukuangamiza, lakini Allah aliwazuia. Msiogope Allah, na wamimie waamini waweke imani yao kwa Allah." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 12, "arabic": "وَلَقَدْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَـٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنْهُمُ ٱثْنَىْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًۭا ۖ وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّى مَعَكُمْ ۖ لَئِنْ أَقَمْتُمُ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَيْتُمُمُ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَءَامَنتُم بِرُسُلِى وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًۭا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّـٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ مِنكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ", "english": "Indeed, Allah took the covenant of the Children of Israel and appointed from them twelve leaders. Allah said, 'I am with you. If you establish prayer, give zakah, believe in My messengers, support them, and lend Allah a goodly loan, I will remove from you your misdeeds and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow.' But whoever disbelieves after that among you – they have certainly gone astray from the straight path.", "kiswahili": "Hakika Allah alichukua agano la Bani Israili na akateua kutoka kwao kiongozi kumi na wawili. Allah akasema, 'Nipo nanyi. Ikiwa mtakaweka sala, mkatoa zaka, muamini mitume wangu, muwaunge mkono, na mkampatia Allah mkopo mzuri, nitakufutisheni dhambi zenu na nitaoweka kwenye bustani zenye mito chini yake. Lakini yeyote anayeikataa imani baada ya hapo – hakika ameenda mbali kutoka kwenye njia ya moja kwa moja.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 13, "arabic": "فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَـٰقَهُمْ لَعَنَّـٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوبَهُمْ قَـٰسِيَةًۭ ۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ ۙ وَنَسُوا۟ حَظًّۭا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ وَلَا تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَىٰ خَآئِنَةٍۢ مِّنْهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًۭا مِّنْهُمْ ۖ فَٱعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَٱصْفَحْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ", "english": "But because of their breaking of the covenant, We cursed them and made their hearts hard; they distort words from their contexts and have forgotten a portion of what they were reminded of. You will always observe treachery among them, except a few of them. So pardon them and overlook; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.", "kiswahili": "Lakini kwa sababu ya kuvunja agano lao, tuliwachukia na tukafanya mioyo yao kuwa magumu; wanapotosha maneno kutoka kwenye muktadha wake na walisahau sehemu ya kile kilichowakumbusha. Daima utawaona wakiwa wa hila kati yao, isipokuwa wachache. Basi wasamehe na uvumilie; hakika Allah anawapenda watekelezaji wa mema." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 14, "arabic": "وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا نَصَـٰرَىٰٓ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَـٰقَهُمْ فَنَسُوا۟ حَظًّۭا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهِۦ فَأَغْرَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ ٱلْعَدَاوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚ وَسَوْفَ يُنَبِّئُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْنَعُونَ", "english": "And from those who say, 'We are Christians,' We took their covenant, but they forgot a portion of what they were reminded of. So We caused enmity and hatred to rise among them until the Day of Resurrection. And Allah will inform them of what they used to do.", "kiswahili": "Na kutoka kwa wale wanasema, 'Sisi ni Wakristo,' tulichukua agano lao, lakini walisahau sehemu ya kile kilichowakumbusha. Basi tulisababisha chuki na mapigano kati yao hadi Siku ya Kiyama. Na Allah atawajulisha yale waliyoyafanya." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 15, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًۭا مِّمَّا كُنتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَيَعْفُوا۟ عَن كَثِيرٍۢ ۚ قَدْ جَآءَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ نُورٌۭ وَكِتَـٰبٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ", "english": "O People of the Scripture! Our messenger has come to you to make clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture, and to forgive much. There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book.", "kiswahili": "Ewe Wenye Kitabu! Mtume wetu amekuja kwenu ili awafafanulie mengi mliyokuwa mnayaficha kutoka kwenye Kitabu, na awasamehe mengi. Nimekuwieni kutoka kwa Allah nuru na Kitabu kilicho wazi." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 16, "arabic": "يَهْدِى بِهِ ٱللَّهُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ رِضْوَٰنَهُۥ سُبُلَ ٱلسَّلَـٰمِ وَيُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذْنِهِۦ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ", "english": "By it Allah guides those who follow His pleasure to the paths of peace and brings them out of darkness into the light by His permission, and guides them to a straight path.", "kiswahili": "Kwa njia yake Allah anaongoza wale wanaomfuata kuridhika kwake kwenye njia za amani, na kuwaondoa kutoka gizani kwenda kwenye nuru kwa idhini yake, na kuwaongoza kwenye njia ya moja kwa moja." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 17, "arabic": "لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۚ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا إِنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُهْلِكَ ٱلْمَسِيحَ ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُۥ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا ۗ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ", "english": "Indeed, those who say, 'Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary,' have disbelieved. Say, 'Then who could prevent Allah from destroying the Messiah, son of Mary, and his mother, and all who are on the earth?' To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them; He creates what He wills. And Allah is over all things competent.", "kiswahili": "Hakika wale wanasema, 'Allah ndiye Masihi mwana wa Mariamu,' wamekataa imani. Sema, 'Basi nani angezuia Allah kuua Masihi mwana wa Mariamu na mama yake, na wote walio duniani?' Kwa Allah ni ufalme wa mbingu na dunia na kila kitu kilicho katikati yao; Anaumba anavyotaka. Na Allah ana uwezo wa kila kitu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 18, "arabic": "وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ وَٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ نَحْنُ أَبْنَـٰٓؤُا۟ ٱللَّهِ وَأَحِبَّـٰٓؤُهُۥ ۚ قُلْ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُم بِذُنُوبِكُم ۖ بَلْ أَنتُم بَشَرٌۭ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلْمَصِيرُ", "english": "And the Jews and the Christians said, 'We are sons of Allah and His beloved.' Say, 'Then why does He punish you for your sins?' Rather, you are human beings of His creation. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and to Him is the final destination.", "kiswahili": "Na Wayahudi na Wakristo walisema, 'Sisi ni wana wa Allah na wapendwa wake.' Sema, 'Basi kwa nini anawaadhibu kwa dhambi zenu?' Bali, ninyi ni wanadamu wa uumbaji wake. Huasamehe anayetamani na kuwaadhibu anayetamani. Kwa Allah ni ufalme wa mbingu na dunia na kila kitu kilicho katikati yao, na kwake ni mwisho wa kurudi." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 19, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ عَلَىٰ فَتْرَةٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلرُّسُلِ أَن تَقُولُوا۟ مَا جَآءَنَا مِنۢ بَشِيرٍۢ وَلَا نَذِيرٍۢ ۖ فَقَدْ جَآءَكُم بَشِيرٌۭ وَنَذِيرٌۭ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ", "english": "O People of the Scripture! Our messenger has come to you to make clear to you, after a period of neglect by previous messengers, so that you do not say, 'No bringer of good tidings or warner has come to us.' Indeed, a bringer of good tidings and a warner has come to you, and Allah is over all things competent.", "kiswahili": "Ewe Wenye Kitabu! Mtume wetu amekuja kwenu kufafanua, baada ya kipindi cha kupuuzia kwa manabii wa awali, ili msiseme, 'Hakuna mtumaji wa habari njema au mwonya ametuja.' Hakika mtumaji wa habari njema na mwonya amekuja kwenu, na Allah ana uwezo wa kila kitu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 20, "arabic": "وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِۦ يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَعَلَ فِيكُمْ أَنۢبِيَآءَ وَجَعَلَكُم مُّلُوكًۭا وَءَاتَىٰكُم مَّا لَمْ يُؤْتِ أَحَدًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ", "english": "And when Moses said to his people, 'O my people, remember the favor of Allah upon you when He appointed among you prophets and made you kings, and gave you that which He had not given to any among the worlds.'", "kiswahili": "Na tuliposema Musa kwa watu wake, 'Ewe watu wangu, mkumbuke neema ya Allah juu yenu alipo watuma manabii kati yenu, akawaweka kuwa wafalme, na akawapa kile ambacho hakimwapi mtu yeyote kati ya viumbe wote.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 21, "arabic": "يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ ٱلْمُقَدَّسَةَ ٱلَّتِى كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَرْتَدُّوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَدْبَارِكُمْ فَتَنقَلِبُوا۟ خَـٰسِرِينَ", "english": "O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned to you and do not turn back, lest you become losers.'", "kiswahili": "Ewe watu wangu, ingeni katika Ardhi Takatifu ambayo Allah amekuwekea, na msirudi nyuma, la sivyo mtakuwa washindwa." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 22, "arabic": "قَالُوا۟ يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّ فِيهَا قَوْمًۭا جَبَّارِينَ وَإِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَا حَتَّىٰ يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا فَإِن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّا دَٰخِلُونَ", "english": "They said, 'O Moses, indeed in it is a people of tyrannical strength, and indeed we will never enter it until they leave it. But if they leave it, then we will enter.'", "kiswahili": "Walisema, 'Ewe Musa, hakika ndani yake kuna watu wenye nguvu za ukatili, na hakika hatutaiingilia hadi watoke. Lakini wakitoka, basi tutaiingia.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 23, "arabic": "قَالَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمَا ٱدْخُلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْبَابَ فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُمُوهُ فَإِنَّكُمْ غَـٰلِبُونَ ۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَتَوَكَّلُوٓا۟ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ", "english": "Two men among those who feared [Allah] and upon whom Allah had bestowed favor said, 'Enter upon them through the gate, for when you enter it, you will surely be victorious. And rely upon Allah if you are believers.'", "kiswahili": "Wanaume wawili kati ya wale waliokuwa na hofu [ya Allah] na ambao Allah aliwajalia neema walisema, 'Ingieni kwenye lango hilo, kwani mtakalo ndani yake mtashinda hakika. Na mtegemee Allah ikiwa ninyi ni waumini.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 24, "arabic": "قَالُوا۟ يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَآ أَبَدًۭا مَّا دَامُوا۟ فِيهَا ۖ فَٱذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَـٰتِلَآ إِنَّا هَـٰهُنَا قَـٰعِدُونَ", "english": "They said, 'O Moses, indeed we will never enter it as long as they remain therein. So go, you and your Lord, and fight. Indeed, we are staying right here.'", "kiswahili": "Walisema, 'Ewe Musa, hakika hatutaiingia milele mradi wao wako ndani yake. Basi nenda wewe na Mola wako mpambane. Hakika sisi tuko hapa tu.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 25, "arabic": "قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى لَآ أَمْلِكُ إِلَّا نَفْسِى وَأَخِى ۖ فَٱفْرُقْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ", "english": "He said, 'My Lord, indeed I do not possess except myself and my brother, so part us and the rebellious people.'", "kiswahili": "Akasema, 'Mola wangu, hakika sina nguvu isipokuwa juu yangu na ndugu yangu, basi tuchukue mbali na watu waasi.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 26, "arabic": "قَالَ فَإِنَّهَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ۛ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةًۭ ۛ يَتِيهُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ فَلَا تَأْسَى عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ", "english": "He [Allah] said, 'Then it is forbidden to them for forty years, they will wander throughout the land. So do not grieve over the rebellious people.'", "kiswahili": "Akasema, 'Basi imezuiliwa kwao kwa miaka arobaini, watatembea kwa kupotea katika ardhi. Basi usilie juu ya watu waasi.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 27, "arabic": "وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ ٱبْنَىْ ءَادَمَ بِٱلْحَقِّ إِذْ قَرَّبَا قُرْبَانًۭا فَتُقُبِّلَ مِنْ أَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمْ يُتَقَبَّلْ مِنَ ٱلْـَٔاخَرِ قَالَ لَأَقْتُلَنَّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ", "english": "Recite to them the story of the two sons of Adam in truth. When they offered a sacrifice, it was accepted from one of them, but not accepted from the other. He said, 'I will surely kill you.' He said, 'Allah only accepts from the righteous.'", "kiswahili": "Soma hadithi ya wana wa Adamu kwa kweli. Walipotoa dhabihu, ilikubaliwa kutoka kwa mmoja wao, lakini haikukubaliwa kutoka kwa mwingine. Akasema, 'Hakika nitakuua.' Akasema, 'Allah anakubali tu kutoka kwa wanyenyekevu.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 28, "arabic": "لَئِنۢ بَسَطتَ إِلَىَّ يَدَكَ لِتَقْتُلَنِى مَآ أَنَا۠ بِبَاسِطٍۢ يَدِىَ إِلَيْكَ لِأَقْتُلَكَ ۖ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ ٱللَّهَ رَبَّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ", "english": "If you stretch your hand toward me to kill me, I will not stretch my hand toward you to kill you. Indeed, I fear Allah, the Lord of the worlds.", "kiswahili": "Iwapo utapanua mkono wako kuniua, mimi sitapanua mkono wangu juu yako kukuua. Hakika naogopa Allah, Mola wa viumbe wote." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 29, "arabic": "إِنِّىٓ أُرِيدُ أَن تَبُوٓأَ بِإِثْمِى وَإِثْمِكَ فَتَكُونَ مِنْ أَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلنَّارِ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ", "english": "Indeed I want you to share my sin and your sin so you will be among the companions of the Fire. And that is the recompense of the wrongdoers.", "kiswahili": "Hakika nataka uchukue dhambi yangu na dhambi yako ili uwe miongoni mwa wafuasi wa Moto. Na hiyo ndiyo malipo ya wenye dhuluma." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 30, "arabic": "فَطَوَّعَتْ لَهُۥ نَفْسُهُۥ قَتْلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُۥ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ", "english": "So his soul prompted him to kill his brother, and he killed him, becoming one of the losers.", "kiswahili": "Basi nafsi yake ilimshawishi kumuua ndugu yake, naye akamuuwa, akawa miongoni mwa wapotevu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 31, "arabic": "فَبَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ غُرَابًۭا يَبْحَثُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لِيُرِيَهُۥ كَيْفَ يُوَٰرِى سَوْءَةَ أَخِيهِ ۚ قَالَ يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰٓ أَعَجَزْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِثْلَ هَـٰذَا ٱلْغُرَابِ فَأُوَٰرِىَ سَوْءَةَ أَخِى ۖ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ ٱلنَّـٰدِمِينَ", "english": "Then Allah sent a crow searching in the ground to show him how to hide the corpse of his brother. He said, 'Woe to me! Am I not able to be like this crow and hide the corpse of my brother?' And he became of the regretful.", "kiswahili": "Basi Allah alituma gawia likitafuta ardhini kumfunulia jinsi ya kuficha mwili wa ndugu yake. Akasema, 'Ee dhahabu yangu! Je, siwezi kuwa kama gawia huyu na kuficha mwili wa ndugu yangu?' Naye akawa miongoni mwa wale waliyojuta." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 32, "arabic": "مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَٰلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ أَنَّهُۥ مَن قَتَلَ نَفْسًۢا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍۢ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعًۭا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَآ أَحْيَا ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعًۭا ۚ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُم بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لَمُسْرِفُونَ", "english": "Because of that, We decreed for the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul—unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land—it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves it, it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. Our messengers came to them with clear proofs, yet many of them thereafter commit excesses in the land.", "kiswahili": "Kwa sababu hiyo, tumeamuru kwa Wana wa Israeli kwamba yeyote atakayemuua mtu isipokuwa kwa mtu au kwa uharibifu katika ardhi, ni kana kwamba amemuua wanadamu wote. Na yeyote atakayemuokoa, ni kana kwamba ameokoa wanadamu wote. Wajumbe wetu waliwasilisha mashahidi wazi, lakini wengi wao baadaye walifanya ziada katika ardhi." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 33, "arabic": "إِنَّمَا جَزَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحَارِبُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا أَن يُقَتَّلُوٓا۟ أَوْ يُصَلَّبُوٓا۟ أَوْ تُقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُم مِّنْ خِلَـٰفٍ أَوْ يُنفَوْا۟ مِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لَهُمْ خِزْىٌۭ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ", "english": "The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon the earth [to cause] corruption is that they be killed or crucified, or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides, or that they be exiled from the land. That is a disgrace for them in this world, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.", "kiswahili": "Malipo ya wale wanaopigana na Allah na Mtume wake na kufanya uharibifu katika ardhi ni kwamba wauwe au wakabidhiwe msalaba, au mikono na miguu yao ichaguliwe upande wa pili, au waachwe kutoka ardhini. Hiyo ni aibu kwao katika dunia, na kwao katika Akhera ni adhabu kuu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 34, "arabic": "إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَقْدِرُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ", "english": "Except for those who repent before you overpower them. So know that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.", "kiswahili": "Isipokuwa wale waliyo tubia kabla ya kuwashinda. Basi fahamu kwamba Allah ni Mwenye kusamehe na Mwenye rehema." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 35, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱبْتَغُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ ٱلْوَسِيلَةَ وَجَـٰهِدُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ", "english": "O you who have believed, fear Allah and seek the means [of nearness] to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mliyo amini, muiogope Allah na mtumie njia za kumkaribia, na jitahidi katika njia yake ili mpate kufanikiwa." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 36, "arabic": "إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا وَمِثْلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لِيَفْتَدُوا۟ بِهِۦ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ مَا تُقُبِّلَ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ", "english": "Indeed, those who disbelieve, even if they owned all that is on the earth and the like of it with it, they would offer it to ransom themselves from the punishment of the Day of Resurrection. It will not be accepted from them, and for them is a painful punishment.", "kiswahili": "Hakika wale wasiokuwa wa imani, hata kama wangemiliki yote yaliyo ardhini na sawa nalo pamoja, wangejaribu kulipa fidia kuokoa nafsi zao kutoka adhabu ya Siku ya Kiyama. Haita kubaliwa kwao, na kwao kuna adhabu ya maumivu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 37, "arabic": "يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَخْرُجُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ وَمَا هُم بِخَـٰرِجِينَ مِنْهَا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ مُّقِيمٌۭ", "english": "They wish to get out of the Fire, but never will they get out of it, and for them is a lasting punishment.", "kiswahili": "Wanataka kutoka Moto, lakini hawataondoka humo, na kwao kuna adhabu ya kudumu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 38, "arabic": "وَٱلسَّارِقُ وَٱلسَّارِقَةُ فَٱقْطَعُوٓا۟ أَيْدِيَهُمَا جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَسَبَا نَكَـٰلًۭا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌۭ", "english": "As for the male and female thieves, amputate their hands as a recompense for what they committed, a deterrent from Allah. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.", "kiswahili": "Kwa wizi wa kiume na wa kike, mkatanye mikono yao kama adhabu kwa kitendo chao, ni kizuizi kutoka kwa Allah. Na Allah ni Mwenye nguvu na Mwenye hekima." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 39, "arabic": "فَمَن تَابَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ظُلْمِهِۦ وَأَصْلَحَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌ", "english": "But whoever repents after wrongdoing and reforms, indeed Allah will turn to him in forgiveness. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.", "kiswahili": "Lakini yeyote atayetubu baada ya dhambi na kusahihisha, hakika Allah atamkubalia kwa msamaha. Hakika Allah ni Mwenye kusamehe na Mwenye rehema." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 40, "arabic": "أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ يُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ", "english": "Do you not know that Allah has dominion over the heavens and the earth? He punishes whom He wills and forgives whom He wills. And Allah has power over all things.", "kiswahili": "Je, hukujui kwamba Allah ndiye Mmiliki wa mbingu na ardhi? Huadhabu anayetamani na husamehe anayetamani. Na Allah ana uwezo wa kila kitu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 41, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ لَا يَحْزُنكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْكُفْرِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِن قُلُوبُهُمْ ۛ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ ۛ سَمَّـٰعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمَّاعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ ءَاخَرِينَ لَمْ يَأْتُوكَ ۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهِۦ ۖ يَقُولُونَ إِنْ أُوتِيتُمْ هَـٰذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَٱحْذَرُوا۟ ۚ وَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ فِتْنَتَهُۥ فَلَن تَمْلِكَ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌۭ ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ", "english": "O Messenger, let not those who hasten into disbelief grieve you—of those who say 'We believe' with their mouths but do not believe in their hearts, and among the Jews—listening to falsehood, listening to another people who did not come to you, twisting words after they have been set in their places. They say: 'If you are given this, take it; but if you are not, beware.' Whomsoever Allah intends for trial, you will not have power over them anything from Allah. Those are the ones whose hearts Allah does not intend to purify; for them is disgrace in this world, and for them is a great punishment in the Hereafter.", "kiswahili": "Ewe Mtume, wasiwasi wale wanao harakisha kufaidi kwa ubaguzi—wao wanaosema 'Tuna imani' kwa midomo yao lakini mioyo yao haamini, na miongoni mwa Wayahudi—wanasikiliza uongo, wanasikiliza watu wengine ambao hawakuja kwako, wanabadilisha maneno baada ya kuwekwa mahali pake. Wanasema: 'Iwapo mtapewa hili, lingilia; lakini iwapo hamtapewa, tahadhari.' Yeye yeyote aliyepewa fitina na Allah, hutaweza kumiliki chochote kutoka kwa Allah. Hao ndio ambao mioyo yao Allah haikusudi kusafisha; kwao kuna aibu katika dunia, na kwao kuna adhabu kubwa katika Akhera." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 42, "arabic": "سَمَّـٰعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ أَكَّـٰلُونَ لِلسُّحْتِ ۚ فَإِن جَآءُوكَ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُمْ أَوْ أَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ ۖ وَإِن تُعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ فَلَن يَضُرُّوكَ شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ وَإِنْ حَكَمْتَ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ", "english": "They listen to falsehood, consuming forbidden gains. So if they come to you, judge between them or turn away from them. If you turn away, it will not harm you. And if you judge, judge between them with justice. Indeed, Allah loves those who are just.", "kiswahili": "Wanasikiliza uongo, wakiila faida haramu. Hivyo iwapo watakuja kwako, hukumu kati yao au uwazigee. Ikiwa unawageukia, hawatakuathiri. Na ikiwa unahukumu, hukumu kati yao kwa haki. Hakika Allah anapenda waadilifu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 43, "arabic": "وَكَيْفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِندَهُمُ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ فِيهَا حُكْمُ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَمَآ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ", "english": "And how can they come to you for judgment while they have the Torah, in which is the judgment of Allah, and then they turn away after that? And they are not believers.", "kiswahili": "Na je, wanaweza kuja kwako kwa hukumu huku wakiwa na Taurati, ambapo kuna hukumu ya Allah, kisha wanageuka baada ya hapo? Na wao si waumini." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 44, "arabic": "إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَا ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ فِيهَا هُدًۭى وَنُورٌۭ ۚ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّونَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱلرَّبَّـٰنِيُّونَ وَٱلْأَحْبَارُ بِمَا ٱسْتُحْفِظُوا۟ مِن كِتَـٰبِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَانُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ شُهَدَآءَ ۚ فَلَا تَخْشَوُا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ وَٱخْشَوْنِ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِى ثَمَنًۭا قَلِيلًۭا ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ", "english": "Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted [to Allah] judged by it for the Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars, by what they were entrusted of Allah’s Scripture. So fear not the people but fear Me, and do not exchange My signs for a small price. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed—those are the disbelievers.", "kiswahili": "Hakika tumetuma Taurati, ndani yake kuna mwongozo na nuru. Nabii waliyojielekeza [kwa Allah] hukumu kwa Wayahudi, kama vile warabi na masaidizi, kwa kile walichokihifadhi kutoka kwa Kitabu cha Allah. Basi msihofu kwa watu bali msiogope Mimi, wala msibadilishe Ishara zangu kwa thamani ndogo. Na yeyote asiye hukumu kwa kile Allah alichotuma—wao ndio wakosefu wa imani." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 45, "arabic": "وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَآ أَنَّ ٱلنَّفْسَ بِٱلنَّفْسِ وَٱلْعَيْنَ بِٱلْعَيْنِ وَٱلْأَنفَ بِٱلْأَنفِ وَٱلْأُذُنَ بِٱلْأُذُنِ وَٱلسِّنَّ بِٱلسِّنِّ وَٱلْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌۭ ۚ فَمَن تَصَدَّقَ بِهِۦ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌۭ لَّهُۥ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ", "english": "And We prescribed for them in it a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, and a tooth for a tooth, and for wounds [equal] retaliation. But if anyone forgives it, it is expiation for him. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed—they are the wrongdoers.", "kiswahili": "Na tulikuandikia ndani yake: nafsi kwa nafsi, jicho kwa jicho, pua kwa pua, sikio kwa sikio, jino kwa jino, na kwa majeraha kulipwa sawa. Lakini yeyote akisamehe, ni fidia kwake. Na yeyote asiye hukumu kwa kile Allah alichotuma—wao ndio wanyanyasaji." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 46, "arabic": "وَقَفَّيْنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَـٰرِهِم بِعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ ۖ وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ ٱلْإِنجِيلَ فِيهِ هُدًۭى وَنُورٌۭ وَمُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ وَهُدًۭى وَمَوْعِظَةًۭ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ", "english": "And We sent, following their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light, confirming that which came before it in the Torah, and a guidance and admonition for the righteous.", "kiswahili": "Na tukamfuata katika nyayo zao, Isa mwana wa Maryamu, akithibitisha kile kilichotangulia kwake katika Taurati; naye tukamupa Injili, ndani yake kuna mwongozo na nuru, uthibitisho wa kile kilichotangulia katika Taurati, na mwongozo na kito kwa wanyofu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 47, "arabic": "وَلْيَحْكُمْ أَهْلُ ٱلْإِنجِيلِ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ", "english": "And let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed—they are the defiantly disobedient.", "kiswahili": "Na watu wa Injili wahukumu kwa kile Allah alichotuma ndani yake. Na yeyote asiye hukumu kwa kile Allah alichotuma—wao ndio wasio wanyofu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 48, "arabic": "وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ بِٱلْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًۭا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ ۖ فَٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ ۚ لِكُلٍّۢ جَعَلْنَا مِنكُمْ شِرْعَةًۭ وَمِنْهَاجًۭا ۚ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ وَلَـٰكِن لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِى مَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ ۖ فَٱسْتَبِقُوا۟ ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ ۚ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًۭا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ", "english": "And We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming that which came before it of the Scripture and as a guardian over it. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their inclinations away from what has come to you of the truth. To each of you, We prescribed a law and a clear path. If Allah had willed, He could have made you one nation, but [He intended] to test you in what He has given you; so compete in good deeds. To Allah is your return all together, and He will inform you concerning that over which you used to differ.", "kiswahili": "Na tumempa wewe, [Ewe Muhammad], Kitabu kwa kweli, kuthibitisha kile kilichotangulia katika Kitabu na kuwa mlezi juu yake. Hivyo hukumu kati yao kwa kile Allah amekituma, wala usifuate tamaa zao mbali na kile kilichokuja kwako cha ukweli. Kila mmoja kati yenu tulimpa sheria na njia wazi. Kama Allah angependa, angewafanya neno moja, lakini [Aliyakusudia] ni kuwajaribu katika kile alichowapa; kwa hivyo shindani katika mema. Kwa Allah mtarudi wote pamoja, naye atakujulisha kuhusu kile mlichokigombania." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 49, "arabic": "وَأَنِ ٱحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ وَٱحْذَرْهُمْ أَن يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنۢ بَعْضِ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَٱعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُصِيبَهُم بِبَعْضِ ذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَفَـٰسِقُونَ", "english": "And judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires, and beware of them lest they tempt you away from some of what Allah has revealed to you. But if they turn away, then know that Allah only intends to afflict them with some of their sins. And indeed, many among the people are defiantly disobedient.", "kiswahili": "Na hukumu kati yao kwa kile Allah amekituma, wala usifuate tamaa zao, na uwape kioo wasikutaje kuondoa kutoka baadhi ya kile Allah amekituma kwako. Lakini iwapo watageuka, basi jua kwamba Allah anataka tu kuwaumiza kwa baadhi ya dhambi zao. Na hakika wengi kati ya watu ni wanyanyasaji." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 50, "arabic": "أَفَحُكْمَ ٱلْجَـٰهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ ۚ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ حُكْمًۭا لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُوقِنُونَ", "english": "Do they seek the judgment of ignorance? But who is better than Allah in judgment for a people who are certain [in faith]?", "kiswahili": "Je, wanatafuta hukumu ya ujinga? Lakini nani bora zaidi kuliko Allah katika hukumu kwa watu waliyo na hakika?" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 51, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا۟ ٱلْيَهُودَ وَٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۘ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍۢ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمْ فَإِنَّهُۥ مِنْهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ", "english": "O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you—then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mnao amini, msichukue Wayahudi na Wakristo kuwa walioko karibu nanyi. Wao ni marafiki wa kila mmoja. Na yeyote aliye marafiki wao kati yenu—hakika yuko miongoni mwao. Hakika Allah haongozi watu wanyanyasaji." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 52, "arabic": "فَتَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌۭ يُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِيهِمْ يَقُولُونَ نَخْشَىٰٓ أَن تُصِيبَنَا دَآئِرَ ةٌۭ ۚ فَعَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَأْتِىَ بِٱلْفَتْحِ أَوْ أَمْرٍۢ مِّنْ عِندِهِۦ فَيُصْبِحُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَسَرُّوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ نَـٰدِمِينَ", "english": "And you see those in whose hearts is disease hastening into them, saying, 'We fear a misfortune may strike us.' But perhaps Allah will bring conquest or a decision from Himself, and they will become regretful for what they kept secret in their souls.", "kiswahili": "Na utaona wale walio na ugonjwa ndani ya mioyo yao wakiharakisha kuelekea kwao, wakisema, 'Tunawaogopa maafa yatatukumba.' Lakini labda Allah atatuletea ushindi au hukumu kutoka kwake, nao watageuka na kujutia kile walichokificha ndani ya nafsi zao." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 53, "arabic": "وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أَقْسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَـٰنِهِمْ ۙ إِنَّهُمْ لَمَعَكُمْ ۚ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَـٰلُهُمْ فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ خَـٰسِرِينَ", "english": "And those who believe say, 'Are these the ones who swore by Allah their strongest oaths that they were with you?' Their deeds have become worthless, and they have become losers.", "kiswahili": "Na wale waliyo amini wanasema, 'Je, hawa ndio waliyoapa kwa Allah kwa madhehebu yao yote kuwa wako nanyi?' Matendo yao yametoweka, nao wamekuwa wapotevu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 54, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَن يَرْتَدَّ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِۦ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِى ٱللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍۢ يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ يُجَـٰهِدُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَآئِمٍۢ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ", "english": "O you who have believed, whoever of you should revert from his religion—Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He loves and who love Him, humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers, striving in the cause of Allah, and they do not fear the blame of anyone. That is the favor of Allah; He bestows it upon whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mnao amini, yeyote kati yenu akirudi kutoka dini yake—Allah atakuleta watu anaowapenda na wanaompenda, wakiwa wanyenyekevu kwa waumini, wenye nguvu kwa wakosefu wa imani, wakijitahidi katika njia ya Allah, na hawauogopi lawama ya mtu. Hii ni neema ya Allah; anaipe kwa yule anayetaka. Na Allah ni mpana na Mwenye Hekima." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 55, "arabic": "إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُمْ رَٰكِعُونَ", "english": "Your ally is none but Allah and [therefore] His Messenger and those who have believed—those who establish prayer and give zakah, while they bow [in worship].", "kiswahili": "Mlezi wenu ni Allah na Mtume wake na wale waliyo amini—wale wanao simamia sala na kutoa zakah, wakiwa wakiinua mikono kwa ibada." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 56, "arabic": "وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ فَإِنَّ حِزْبَ ٱللَّهِ هُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ", "english": "And whoever takes Allah, His Messenger, and those who have believed as allies—then indeed, the party of Allah will be the predominant.", "kiswahili": "Na yeyote anayemchukua Allah, Mtume wake, na wale waliyo amini kuwa marafiki—hakika kundi la Allah ndilo litakaloshinda." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 57, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَتَّخِذُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ دِينَكُمْ هُزُوًۭا وَلَعِبًۭا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَٱلْكُفَّارَ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ", "english": "O you who have believed, do not take those who take your religion in ridicule and amusement among the ones who were given the Scripture before you and the disbelievers as allies, and fear Allah if you should [truly] believe.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mnao amini, msichukue wale waliyochukua dini yenu kama kejeli na burudani miongoni mwa wale waliyopewa Kitabu kabla yenu na wakosefu wa imani kuwa marafiki, na msiogope Allah kama kweli mna imani." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 58, "arabic": "وَإِذَا نَادَيْتُمْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ٱتَّخَذُوهَا هُزُوًۭا وَلَعِبًۭا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌۭ لَّا يَعْقِلُونَ", "english": "And when you call to prayer, they take it in ridicule and amusement. That is because they are a people who do not use reason.", "kiswahili": "Na wakati mnapopiga wito wa sala, wanachukulia kama kejeli na burudani. Hii ni kwa sababu wao ni watu wasiotumia akili." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 59, "arabic": "قُلْ يَـٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ هَلْ تَنقِمُونَ مِنَّآ إِلَّآ أَنْ ءَامَنَّا بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَنْ أَكْثَرَكُمْ فَـٰسِقُونَ", "english": "Say, 'O People of the Scripture, do you resent us except for [the fact] that we have believed in Allah and what was revealed to us and what was revealed before, and that most of you are defiantly disobedient?'", "kiswahili": "Sema, 'Enyi Watu wa Kitabu, mnatushughulikia je, isipokuwa kwa sababu tumemwamini Allah na kile kilichotumwa kwetu na kile kilichotumwa kabla, na kwamba wengi wenu ni wanyanyasaji?'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 60, "arabic": "قُلْ هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّۢ مِّن ذَٰلِكَ مَثُوبَةً عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ مَن لَّعَنَهُ ٱللَّهُ وَغَضِبَ عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهُمُ ٱلْقِرَدَةَ وَٱلْخَنَازِيرَ وَعَبَدَ ٱلطَّـٰغُوتَ ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ شَرٌّۭ مَّكَانًۭا وَأَضَلُّ عَن سَوَآءِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ", "english": "Say, 'Shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that as penalty from Allah? It is those whom Allah has cursed and with whom He became angry and made of them apes and pigs and worshippers of Taghut. Wao wapo katika nafasi mbaya na zaidi ya mbali kutoka njia sahihi.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 61, "arabic": "وَإِذَا جَآءُوكُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَقَد دَّخَلُوا۟ بِٱلْكُفْرِ وَهُمْ قَدْ خَرَجُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْتُمُونَ", "english": "And when they come to you, they say, 'We believe.' But they have entered with disbelief while they leave with it. And Allah is most knowing of what they were concealing.", "kiswahili": "Na wakapokuja kwako, wanasema, 'Tuna imani.' Lakini wameingia wakiwa na kutoamini huku wakitoka nayo. Mbaya sana yale waliyokuwa wakiyafanya!" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 63, "arabic": "لَوْلَا يَنْهَىٰهُمُ ٱلرَّبَّـٰنِيُّونَ وَٱلْأَحْبَارُ عَن قَوْلِهِمُ ٱلْإِثْمَ وَأَكْلِهِمُ ٱلسُّحْتَ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْنَعُونَ", "english": "Why do the rabbis and scholars not forbid them from saying what is sinful and devouring what is unlawful? How evil is what they have been doing.", "kiswahili": "Kwa nini warabbi na waandishi wa hekima hawawazuili kusema dhambi na kula haramu? Mbaya sana yale waliyokuwa wakiyafanya." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 64, "arabic": "وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ يَدُ ٱللَّهِ مَغْلُولَةٌ ۚ غُلَّتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَلُعِنُوا۟ بِمَا قَالُوا۟ ۘ بَلْ يَدَاهُ مَبْسُوطَتَانِ يُنفِقُ كَيْفَ يَشَآءُ ۚ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَـٰنًۭا وَكُفْرًۭا ۚ وَأَلْقَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ ٱلْعَدَٰوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚ كُلَّمَآ أَوْقَدُوا۟ نَارًۭا لِّلْحَرْبِ أَطْفَأَهَا ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَسَادًۭا ۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ", "english": "And the Jews say, 'The hand of Allah is chained.' Chained are their hands, and cursed are they for what they say. Rather, both His hands are extended; He spends as He wills. And many of them will increase in transgression and disbelief. And We have cast enmity and hatred among them until the Day of Resurrection. Whenever they kindle a fire for war, Allah extinguishes it; and they strive throughout the land [causing] corruption. And Allah does not like corrupters.", "kiswahili": "Na Wayahudi wanasema, 'Mkono wa Allah umefungwa.' Mikono yao imefungwa, na wamekufa kwa kile walisema. Lakini mikono yake yote miwili imepanuliwa; anatoa wapi anavyotaka. Na wengi wao watazidi katika makosa na kutoamini. Nao tumeweka uhasama na chuki kati yao hadi Siku ya Kiyama. Kila wanapowasha moto wa vita, Allah unaudzima; na wanatafuta uharibifu duniani. Na Allah hapendi waharibifu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 65, "arabic": "وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّقَوْا۟ لَكَفَّرْنَا عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَأَدْخَلْنَـٰهُمْ جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ", "english": "And if the People of the Scripture had believed and feared Allah, We would have removed from them their misdeeds and admitted them to Gardens of Pleasure.", "kiswahili": "Na kama Watu wa Kitabu wangekuwa wakiamini na kuogopa Allah, tungeondoa maovu yao na kuwaingiza kwenye Bustani za Furaha." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 66, "arabic": "وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ أَقَامُوا۟ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِم مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ لَأَكَلُوا۟ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِم ۚ مِّنْهُمْ أُمَّةٌۭ مُّقْتَصِدَةٌۭ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ سَآءَ مَا يَعْمَلُونَ", "english": "And if they had established the Torah, the Gospel, and what was revealed to them from their Lord, they would have consumed [provisions] from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them is a moderate community, but many of them—evil is that which they do.", "kiswahili": "Na kama wangezingatia Torati, Injili, na kile kilichotumwa kw wao kutoka kwa Mola wao, wangejipatia riziki juu yao na chini ya miguu yao. Kati yao kuna jamii ya wastani, lakini wengi wao—mbaya ni yale wanayofanya." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 67, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ۖ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُۥ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ", "english": "O Messenger, convey what has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.", "kiswahili": "Ewe Mtume, wabariki kile kilichotumwa kwako kutoka kwa Mola wako, na kama hutafanya hivyo, hujafikisha ujumbe wake. Na Allah atakulinda kutokana na watu. Hakika Allah haongozi watu wanyenyekevu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 68, "arabic": "قُلْ يَـٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لَسْتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ حَتَّىٰ تُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۗ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُم مَّآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَـٰنًۭا وَكُفْرًۭا ۖ فَلَا تَأْسَى عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ", "english": "Say, 'O People of the Scripture, you are not on [right] guidance until you uphold the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord.' And many of them will increase in transgression and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people.", "kiswahili": "Sema, 'Enyi Watu wa Kitabu, hamko katika mwongozo hadi mtakaposhikilia Torati, Injili, na kile kilichotumwa kwenu kutoka kwa Mola wenu.' Kwa hivyo usilie juu ya watu wasioamini." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 69, "arabic": "إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱلصَّـٰبِـُٔونَ وَٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًۭا فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ", "english": "Indeed, those who have believed and those who were Jews or Sabians or Christians—whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and does righteousness—will have no fear, nor will they grieve.", "kiswahili": "Hakika wale walio amini na wale Wayahudi au Sabiani au Wakristo—ye yeyote anaye amini kwa Allah na Siku ya Mwisho na kufanya mema—hawataogopa wala hawata huzunika." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 70, "arabic": "لَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَـٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمْ رُسُلًۭا ۖ كُلَّمَا جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌۢ بِمَا لَا تَهْوَىٰٓ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَرِيقًۭا كَذَّبُوا۟ وَفَرِيقًۭا يَقْتُلُونَ", "english": "We had already taken the covenant of the Children of Israel and sent messengers to them. Whenever a messenger came with what their souls did not desire, a party of them denied [it], and a party killed [the messengers].", "kiswahili": "Hakika tulikuwa tumepata agano la Wana wa Israeli na tukawatuma mitume. Kila mara mtume alipo kuja na kile ambacho nafsi zao hazikupenda, kundi lao lilikataa, na kundi lingeliua." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 71, "arabic": "وَحَسِبُوٓا۟ أَلَّا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌۭ فَعَمُوا۟ وَصَمُّوا۟ ثُمَّ تَابَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ عَمُوا۟ وَصَمُّوا۟ كَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ", "english": "They presumed that there would be no trial, so they became blind and deaf; then Allah turned to them in mercy, but many of them became blind and deaf again. And Allah is Seeing of what they do.", "kiswahili": "Walidhani kuwa haitakuwa na mtihani, wakawa wakiwa wapenye na wakiwa viziwi; kisha Allah akawaangalia kwa rehema, lakini wengi wao wakawa wapenye na wakiwa viziwi tena. Na Allah anaona kile wanachokifanya." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 72, "arabic": "لَقَدْ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۖ وَقَالَ ٱلْمَسِيحُ يَـٰبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبَّكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ مَن يُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ فَقَدْ حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَمَأْوَىٰهُ ٱلنَّارُ ۖ وَمَا لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍۢ", "english": "They have certainly disbelieved who say, 'Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary.' The Messiah said, 'O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.' Indeed, whoever associates others with Allah—Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and his refuge is the Fire, and there are no helpers for the wrongdoers.", "kiswahili": "Hakika wamekufuru wale wanasema, 'Allah ni Masiha, Mwana wa Mariamu.' Masiha alisema, 'Enyi Wana wa Israeli, mtegemee Allah, Mola wangu na Mola wenu.' Hakika yeyote anayemshirikisha Allah—Allah amemzuia Peponi, na makazi yake ni Moto, na hawana wasaidizi." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 73, "arabic": "لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ثَالِثُ ثَلَـٰثَةٍۢ ۘ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَـٰهٍ إِلَّآ إِلَـٰهٌۭ وَاحِدٌ ۚ وَإِن لَّمْ يَنتَهُوا۟ عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ لَيَمَسَّنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ", "english": "They have certainly disbelieved who say, 'Allah is the third of three.' And there is no god except One God. And if they do not desist from what they say, a painful punishment will touch those who disbelieve among them.", "kiswahili": "Hakika wamekufuru wale wanasema, 'Allah ni wa tatu kati ya watatu.' Na hakuna mungu isipokuwa Mmoja. Na kama hawatakata kile wanasema, adhabu ya maumivu itawagusa wale wafi na wafuasi wao." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 74, "arabic": "أَفَلَا يَتُوبُونَ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَهُۥ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ", "english": "Will they not then repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.", "kiswahili": "Je, hawatatafuta toba kwa Allah na kumuomba msamaha? Na Allah ni Msamehe na Mwenye Rehema." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 75, "arabic": "مَا ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٌۭ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ ٱلرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُۥ صِدِّيقَةٌۭ ۖ كَانَا يَأْكُلَانِ ٱلطَّعَامَ ۗ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱنظُرْ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ", "english": "The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers had passed before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food. See how We make the signs clear to them; yet see how they are deluded.", "kiswahili": "Masiha, Mwana wa Mariamu, siyo bali mtume; mitume mingine ilipita kabla yake. Na mama yake alikuwa mwaminifu. Wote wawili walikuwa wakila chakula. Angalia jinsi tunavyofanya ishara wazi kw wao; kisha angalia jinsi wanavyopotea." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 76, "arabic": "قُلْ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّۭا وَلَا نَفْعًۭا ۚ وَٱللَّهُ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ", "english": "Say, 'Do you worship besides Allah that which does not possess for you [power] to harm or benefit? And Allah is the Hearing, the Knowing.'", "kiswahili": "Sema, 'Je, mnamuabudu pamoja na Allah ambaye huna uwezo wa kuleta madhara au manufaa kwenu? Na Allah ndiye Mwenye Kusikia, Mwenye Kujua.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 77, "arabic": "قُلْ يَـٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لَا تَغْلُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ غَيْرَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَ قَوْمٍۢ قَدْ ضَلُّوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَضَلُّوا۟ كَثِيرًۭا وَضَلُّوا۟ عَن سَوَآءِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ", "english": "Say, 'O People of the Scripture, do not exceed the limits in your religion beyond the truth, and do not follow the inclinations of a people who had gone astray before and misled many and have gone astray from the right way.'", "kiswahili": "Sema, 'Enyi Watu wa Kitabu, msizidi mipaka katika dini yenu zaidi ya ukweli, wala msifuatilie tamaa za watu waliopotea kabla na kuwaongoza wengi na walipotea kutoka njia sahihi.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 78, "arabic": "لُعِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُۥدَ وَعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا۟ وَّكَانُوا۟ يَعْتَدُونَ", "english": "Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and used to transgress.", "kiswahili": "Wale waliokufuru miongoni mwa Wana wa Israeli walichukuliwa laana kwa kinywa cha Daudi na Yesu, Mwana wa Mariamu. Hii ilikuwa kwa sababu walikosa kusikiza na walikuwa wakivunja sheria." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 79, "arabic": "كَانُوا۟ لَا يَتَنَاهَوْنَ عَن مُّنكَرٍۢ فَعَلُوهُ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ", "english": "They did not prevent one another from wrongdoing that they did. How evil was that which they used to do!", "kiswahili": "Hawakuzuiana katika maovu waliyo yafanya. Mbaya kweli yale waliyokuwa wakiyafanya!" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 80, "arabic": "تَرَىٰ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُمْ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ لَهُمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ أَن سَخِطَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَفِى ٱلْعَذَابِ هُمْ خَـٰلِدُونَ", "english": "You will see many of them allying with the disbelievers. How evil is that which their own souls have sent ahead for them—because Allah has angered them, and they will abide in the punishment.", "kiswahili": "Utaona wengi wao wakijiunganisha na wakufuru. Mbaya kweli yale waliyoyatuma mbele kwa nafsi zao—kwa sababu Allah amewakasirisha, na watadumu katika adhabu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 81, "arabic": "وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلنَّبِىِّ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَا ٱتَّخَذُوهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنْهُمْ فَـٰسِقُونَ", "english": "If they had believed in Allah and the Prophet and what was revealed to him, they would not have taken them as allies; but many of them are defiantly disobedient.", "kiswahili": "Kama wangeamini kwa Allah na Mtume na kile kilicho onyeshwa kwake, hawangewachukua kama wafi wa karibu; lakini wengi wao ni waasi." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 82, "arabic": "لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ ٱلنَّاسِ عَدَٰوَةًۭ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلْيَهُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا۟ ۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةًۭ لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا نَصَـٰرَىٰ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًۭا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ", "english": "You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers are the Jews and those who associate others with Allah; and you will find the nearest in affection to the believers those who say, 'We are Christians.' That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant.", "kiswahili": "Hakika utapata watu wenye chuki zaidi kwa waumini ni Wayahudi na wale wanao shirikisha. Na utapata waliokaribu zaidi kwa upendo kwa waumini ni wale wanasema, 'Sisi ni Wakristo.' Hii ni kwa sababu kati yao kuna makuhani na wanamgambo na hawajiburi." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 83, "arabic": "وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا۟ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ تَرَىٰٓ أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ ٱلدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ ۖ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ ءَامَنَّا فَٱكْتُبْنَا مَعَ ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ", "english": "And when they hear what has been revealed to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of the truth they recognize. They say, 'Our Lord, we have believed; so register us among the witnesses.'", "kiswahili": "Na wanaposikia kile kilicho onyeshwa kwa Mtume, utaona macho yao yakianguka machozi kutokana na ukweli waliouona. Wanasema, 'Mola wetu, tumeamini; basi tunganisheni kati ya mashahidi.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 84, "arabic": "وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَن يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ", "english": "And why should we not believe in Allah and in the truth that has come to us, while we wish that our Lord would admit us with the righteous people?", "kiswahili": "Na kwa nini tusiamini kwa Allah na katika ukweli uliokuja kwetu, huku tukitamani Mola wetu atutie kati ya watu wenye haki?" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 85, "arabic": "فَأَثَـٰبَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا قَالُوا۟ جَنَّـٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ", "english": "So Allah rewarded them for what they said with Gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever; and that is the reward of the righteous.", "kiswahili": "Basi Allah aliwazidishia kwa yale walisema kwa Bustani zilizo chini yake mito, wakiwa watadumu huko milele; na hiyo ni thawabu ya wema." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 86, "arabic": "وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ", "english": "But those who disbelieve and deny Our signs—those are the companions of the Hellfire.", "kiswahili": "Na wale waliokufuru na kupinga ishara zetu—wao ndio wafi wa Moto wa Jahannamu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 87, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُحَرِّمُوا۟ طَيِّبَـٰتِ مَآ أَحَلَّ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ", "english": "O you who have believed, do not prohibit the good things which Allah has made lawful for you, and do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mlio amini, msipige marufuku mema yaliyo halali kwenu na msivunje mipaka. Hakika Allah hapendi wavamizi." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 88, "arabic": "وَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ حَلَـٰلًۭا طَيِّبًۭا ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنتُم بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنُونَ", "english": "And eat of what Allah has provided for you, lawful and good, and fear Allah, in whom you are believers.", "kiswahili": "Kila mniyo kile Allah amekawaletea, kihalali na kizuri, na mtii Allah ambaye mnaamini kwa Yeye." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 89, "arabic": "لَا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِٱللَّغْوِ فِىٓ أَيْمَـٰنِكُمْ وَلَـٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا عَقَّدتُّمُ ٱلْأَيْمَـٰنَ ۖ فَكَفَّـٰرَتُهُۥٓ إِطْعَامُ عَشَرَةِ مَسَـٰكِينَ مِنْ أَوْسَطِ مَا تُطْعِمُونَ أَهْلِيكُمْ أَوْ كِسْوَتُهُمْ أَوْ تَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍۢ ۖ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلَـٰثَةِ أَيَّامٍۢ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ كَفَّـٰرَةُ أَيْمَـٰنِكُمْ إِذَا حَلَفْتُمْ ۚ وَٱحْفَظُوٓا۟ أَيْمَـٰنَكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ", "english": "Allah does not impose blame upon you for what is unintentional in your oaths, but He imposes blame for what your hearts have committed. Its expiation is feeding ten needy people, or clothing them, or freeing a slave; or, if one cannot find it, fasting three days. That is the expiation for your oaths when you swear. So keep your oaths. Thus Allah makes clear His verses to you that you may be grateful.", "kiswahili": "Allah hakuikosesheni kutokana na yale yasiyo makusudi katika ahadi zenu, bali anawaikosesha kutokana na yale mioyo yenu yamekisia. Kifutio chake ni kuwalisha masikini kumi, au kuwapa nguo, au kumtoa mtumwa huru; au kama mtu hawezi, afunge siku tatu. Hivyo ni kifutio cha ahadi zenu mnapo apa. Hifadhi ahadi zenu. Vivyo hivyo Allah anafafanua aya zake kwenu ili mpashwe shukrani." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 90, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا ٱلْخَمْرُ وَٱلْمَيْسِرُ وَٱلْأَنصَابُ وَٱلْأَزْلَـٰمُ رِجْسٌۭ مِّنْ عَمَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ فَٱجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ", "english": "O you who have believed, indeed intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters, and divination by arrows are an abomination of Satan's handiwork. So avoid them that you may succeed.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mlio amini, hakika vilevile, kamari, sanamu, na utabiri kwa mishale ni uchafu wa kazi za Shetani. Basi mjiepuke ili mpate kufanikiwa." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 91, "arabic": "إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ أَن يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْعَدَٰوَةَ وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ فِى ٱلْخَمْرِ وَٱلْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَعَنِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّنتَهُونَ", "english": "Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you desist?", "kiswahili": "Shetani anataka tu kutengeneza chuki na uhasama kati yenu kwa vilevile na kamari, na kuwa zuiya kwa kumbukumbu ya Allah na sala. Je, mtachoka?" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 92, "arabic": "وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ وَاحْذَرُوا۟ ۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا ٱلْبَلَـٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ", "english": "And obey Allah and obey the Messenger and beware. And if you turn away, then know that upon Our Messenger is only the clear conveyance [of message].", "kiswahili": "Na mtii Allah na Mtume na kuwa waangalifu. Na kama mtageuka, fahamu kwamba kwa Mtume wetu ni tu kuwasilisha ujumbe wazi." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 93, "arabic": "لَيْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ جُنَاحٌۭ فِيمَا طَعِمُوٓا۟ إِذَا مَا ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّأَمَنُوا۟ ثُمَّ ٱتَّقَوا۟ وَّأَحْسَنُوا۟ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ", "english": "There is no blame upon those who believe and do righteousness for what they eat when they are mindful and believe and do righteous deeds, then are mindful and believe, then are mindful and do good. And Allah loves the doers of good.", "kiswahili": "Hakuna lawama kwa wale waliyo amini na kufanya mema kwa kile wanachokila wakati wanapojitahidi na kuamini na kufanya mema, kisha wanajitahidi na kuamini, kisha wanajitahidi na kufanya mema zaidi. Allah anapenda wema." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 94, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَيَبْلُوَنَّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِشَىْءٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلصَّيْدِ تَنَالُهُۥٓ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَرِمَاحُكُمْ لِيَعْلَمَ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَخَافُهُۥ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۚ فَمَنِ ٱعْتَدَىٰ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَلَهُۥ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ", "english": "O you who have believed, Allah will surely test you with something of game that comes to your hands and your spears to know who fears Him in secret. So whoever transgresses after that will have a painful punishment.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mlio amini, hakika Allah atawakisia kwa baadhi ya wanyama wa uwindaji wanaowafikia kwa mikono yenu na mikuki yenu ili aone ni nani anaye Mogopa kwa siri. Basi mtu yeyote atakayekosea baada ya hapo, atapata adhabu chungu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 95, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَقْتُلُوا۟ ٱلصَّيْدَ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌۭ ۚ وَمَن قَتَلَهُۥ مِنكُم مُّتَعَمِّدًۭا فَجَزَآءٌۭ مِّثْلُ مَا قَتَلَ مِنَ ٱلنَّعَمِ يَحْكُمُ بِهِۦ ذَوَا عَدْلٍۢ مِّنكُمْ هَدْيًۢا بَـٰلِغَ ٱلْكَعْبَةِ أَوْ كَفَّـٰرَةٌۭ طَعَامُ مَسَـٰكِينَ أَوْ عَدْلُ ذَٰلِكَ صِيَامًۭا لِّيَذُوقَ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِۦ ۗ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا سَلَفَ ۚ وَمَنْ عَادَ فَيَنتَقِمُ ٱللَّهُ مِنْهُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِيزٌۭ ذُو ٱنتِقَامٍ", "english": "O you who have believed, do not kill game while you are in a state of consecration. And whoever among you kills it intentionally, the recompense is an equal of what he killed of livestock, judged by two just people among you, or expiation by feeding the poor, or an equivalent fasting, so he may taste the consequence of his action. Allah forgives what is past, but whoever repeats it, Allah will take vengeance on him. And Allah is Mighty and Avenger.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mlio amini, msauwinde wanyama mnapokuwa katika hali ya kuahirisha hiyari. Na yeyote miongoni mwenu atakayemuuwa kwa makusudi, kifutio ni sawa na kile alichouwa cha mifugo, kilichoamuliwa na watu wawili wa haki miongoni mwenu, au kifutio kwa kulisha masikini, au kufunga sawa na hiyo, ili ajue athari ya kitendo chake. Allah anasamehe yaliyopita, lakini yeyote atakayarudia, Allah atamchukulia kisasi. Allah ni Mwenye nguvu na Mwenye kisasi." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 96, "arabic": "أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ ٱلْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُۥ مَتَـٰعًۭا لَّكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ ۖ وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ صَيْدُ ٱلْبَرِّ مَا دُمْتُمْ حُرُمًۭا ۗ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ", "english": "Lawful to you is the game of the sea and its food as provision for you and the travelers, but forbidden to you is the game of the land while you are in a state of consecration. And fear Allah, to whom you will be gathered.", "kiswahili": "Imehalalishwa kwenu wanyama wa baharini na chakula chao kama riziki kwenu na kwa wasafiri, lakini imeharamishwa kwenu wanyama wa ardhini mnapokuwa katika hali ya kuahirisha hiyari. Na mtii Allah ambaye nanyi mtakusanywa kwake." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 97, "arabic": "جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْكَعْبَةَ ٱلْبَيْتَ ٱلْحَرَامَ قِيَـٰمًۭا لِّلنَّاسِ وَٱلشَّهْرَ ٱلْحَرَامَ وَٱلْهَدْىَ وَٱلْقَلَـٰٓئِدَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِتَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ", "english": "Allah has made the Ka'bah, the Sacred House, a standing place for the people, and the sacred months and the sacrificial animals and the garlands. That is so you may know that Allah knows what is in the heavens and the earth, and that Allah is knowing of all things.", "kiswahili": "Allah amefanya Ka'bah, Nyumba Takatifu, kuwa kielelezo kwa watu, pamoja na miezi takatifu, wanyama wa sadaka, na mikufu. Hii ni ili mpate kujua kwamba Allah anajua yaliyo mbinguni na duniani, na Allah anajua kila kitu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 98, "arabic": "ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقابِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ", "english": "Know that Allah is severe in punishment and that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.", "kiswahili": "Fahamu kwamba Allah ni mkali katika adhabu na Allah ni Msamehe na Mwenye Rehema." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 99, "arabic": "مَّا عَلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَـٰغُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا تَكْتُمُونَ", "english": "It is only upon the Messenger to convey [the message]. And Allah knows whatever you reveal and whatever you conceal.", "kiswahili": "Si jukumu la Mtume isipokuwa kuwasilisha ujumbe. Na Allah anajua mnachokionesha na mnachokificha." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 100, "arabic": "قُل لَّا يَسْتَوِى ٱلْخَبِيثُ وَٱلطَّيِّبُ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكَ كَثْرَةُ ٱلْخَبِيثِ ۚ فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ يَـٰٓأُوْلِى ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ", "english": "Say, 'Not equal are the evil and the good, even if the abundance of the evil pleases you.' So fear Allah, O men of understanding, that you may succeed.", "kiswahili": "Sema, 'Sio sawa mabaya na mema, hata kama wingi wa mabaya unakuvutia.' Kwa hiyo mtii Allah, enyi wenye akili, ili mpate mafanikio." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 101, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ عَنْ أَشْيَآءٍ إِن تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ وَإِن تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ عَنْهَا حِينَ يُنَزَّلُ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ عَفَا ٱللَّهُ عَنْهَا ۗ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌۭ", "english": "O you who have believed, do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you. But if you ask about them while the Qur’an is being revealed, they will be shown to you. Allah has pardoned it; and Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mlio amini, msijiulize kuhusu mambo ambayo, iwapo yatajulikana kwenu, yatawakasirisha. Lakini kama muuliza wakati Qur’an inakuwa ikitolewa, yatafichuliwa kwenu. Allah amesamehe; na Allah ni Msamehe na Mwenye Subira." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 102, "arabic": "قَدْ سَأَلَهَا قَوْمٌۭ مِّن قَبْلِكُمْ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحُوا۟ بِهَا كَـٰفِرِينَ", "english": "A people before you asked about it, then became disbelievers because of it.", "kiswahili": "Kuna watu kabla yenu waliuliza kuhusu hayo, kisha wakawa wakosefu wa imani kwa sababu yake." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 103, "arabic": "مَا جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنۢ بَحِيرَةٍۢ وَلَا سَآئِبَةٍۢ وَلَا وَصِيلَةٍۢ وَلَا حَامٍۢ ۙ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ ۖ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ", "english": "Allah did not make [any such offerings as] Bahirah, Sa’ibah, Wasilah, or Ham, but those who disbelieve invent falsehood against Allah; and most of them do not reason.", "kiswahili": "Allah hakutengeneza [sadaka kama] Bahirah, Sa’ibah, Wasilah, au Ham; bali walio mkosefu wa imani wanaibua uongo dhidi ya Allah; na wengi wao hawatumii akili." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 104, "arabic": "وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ قَالُوا۟ حَسْبُنَا مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَآ ۚ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ", "english": "And when it is said to them, 'Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger,' you see the hypocrites turning away in aversion.", "kiswahili": "Na wakati inapoambiwa, 'Njoo kwa kile Allah amekitolea na kwa Mtume,' utaona watu wa hypocrisy wakigeukia kwa kukataa." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 105, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۖ لَا يَضُرُّكُم مَّن ضَلَّ إذَا ٱهْتَدَيْتُمْ ۚ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًۭا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ", "english": "O you who have believed, upon you is yourselves [to watch]. Those who go astray will not harm you if you are guided. To Allah is your return all together, and He will inform you of what you used to do.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mlio amini, mtawajibika kwa nafsi zenu. Wale wanao pita mbali hawatakuharibu ikiwa mko katika mwongozo. Kila mmoja wenu atarudi kwa Allah, naye atakuwa akajua mnachofanya." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 106, "arabic": "يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ شَهَـٰدَةُ بَيْنِكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ حِينَ ٱلْوَصِيَّةِ ٱثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍۢ مِّنكُمْ أَوْ ءَاخَرَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ ضَرَبْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَصَـٰبَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۚ تَحْبِسُونَهُمَا مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِٱللَّهِ إِنِ ٱرْتَبْتُمْ لَا نَشْتَرِى بِهِۦ ثَمَنًۭا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ ۙ وَلَا نَكْتُمُ شَهَـٰدَةَ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّآ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْـَٔاثِمِينَ", "english": "O you who have believed, testimony [should be] taken among you when death approaches one of you at the time of bequest — two just men from among you or others from outside. If you are traveling through the land and death overtakes you, let them make a testament after the prayer, swearing by Allah if you doubt, that we will not exchange it for a price, even if it concerns a relative, and we will not conceal Allah’s testimony. Indeed, we would then be of the sinful.", "kiswahili": "Enyi mlio amini, ushahidi miongoni mwenu unapaswa kutolewa wakati mtu mmoja wenu anakaribia kufa kwa wakati wa wasiya — wawili wa haki miongoni mwenu au wengine kutoka nje. Ikiwa mnapita nchi na kifo kinakukuta, waweke ushahidi baada ya sala, wakiahidi kwa Allah ikiwa mna shaka, kwamba hatutabadili kwa thamani, hata kama ni jamaa, na hatutaficha ushahidi wa Allah. Hakika tungekuwa wa dhambi." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 107, "arabic": "فَإِنْ عُثِرَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنَّهُمَا ٱسْتَحَقَّآ إِثْمًۭا فَـَٔاخَرَانِ يَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْأَوْلَيَـٰنِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِٱللَّهِ لَشَهَـٰدَتُنَآ أَحَقُّ مِن شَهَـٰدَتِهِمَا وَمَا ٱعْتَدَيْنَآ إِنَّآ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ", "english": "But if it is found that they committed a sin, then two others shall stand in their place from among those who are entitled to the first testimony. They will swear by Allah: 'Our testimony is truer than theirs, and we have not transgressed.' Indeed, we would then be of the wrongdoers.", "kiswahili": "Lakini ikiwa itagundulika kwamba walifanya dhambi, wawili wengine watasimama nafasi yao miongoni mwa waliostahiki ushahidi wa kwanza. Wataapa kwa Allah: 'Ushahidi wetu ni sahihi kuliko wao, na hatuvunji sheria.' Hakika tungekuwa wa dhulma." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 108, "arabic": "ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتُوا۟ بِٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهَآ أَوْ يَخَافُوٓا۟ أَن تُرَدَّ أَيْمَـٰنٌۢ بَعْدَ أَيْمَـٰنِهِمْ ۗ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْفَـٰسِقِينَ", "english": "That is more appropriate so that they may bring forth testimony uprightly or fear that oaths might be broken after their oaths. And fear Allah and listen; and Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.", "kiswahili": "Hiyo ni sahihi zaidi ili waweze kutoa ushahidi kwa uwazi au watoe hofu kwamba viapo vinaweza kuvunjika baada ya viapo vyao. Mtii Allah na sikieni; na Allah hawaongozi watu wa dhuluma." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 109, "arabic": "يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَآ أُجِبْتُمْ ۖ قَالُوا۟ لَا عِلْمَ لَنَآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّـٰمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ", "english": "The Day when Allah will gather the messengers and ask, 'What was the response [given] to you?' They will say, 'We have no knowledge. Indeed, it is You who is the Knower of the unseen.'", "kiswahili": "Siku ambayo Allah atakusanya Mitume na kuuliza, 'Nini kilijibiwa kwenu?' Watasema, 'Hatujui. Hakika, Wewe ndiye Mjuzi wa siri zilizofichwa.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 110, "arabic": "إِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَـٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ٱذْكُرْ نِعْمَتِى عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ ٱلنَّاسَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًۭا ۖ وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ ۖ وَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيْـَٔةِ ٱلطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِى فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيْرًۢا بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَتُبْرِئُ ٱلْأَكْمَهَ وَٱلْأَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَإِذْ تُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِى ۖ وَإِذْ كَفَفْتُ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَنكَ إِذْ جِئْتَهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ فَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ", "english": "When Allah said, 'O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Holy Spirit, enabling you to speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and when I taught you the Book, wisdom, the Torah, and the Gospel; and when you created from clay what was like the form of a bird by My permission, then you breathed into it and it became a bird by My permission; and when you healed the blind and lepers by My permission; and when you brought forth the dead by My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from harming you when you came to them with clear proofs, yet the disbelievers among them said, 'This is nothing but obvious magic.'", "kiswahili": "Wakati Allah alisema, 'Ewe Isa Mwana wa Mariam, kumbuka neema Yangu kwako na kwa mama yako wakati Nilikusaidia kwa Roho Mtakatifu, ukawa na uwezo wa kuzungumza na watu ukiwa kitoto na ukiwa mtu mzima; na wakati Nilikufundisha Kitabu, Hekima, Torati, na Injili; na wakati ulivyounda kutoka udongo kiumbe kama ndege kwa idhini Yangu, kisha ukapuliza ndani yake ikawa ndege kwa idhini Yangu; na uliponya vipofu na wagonjwa wa kipofu kwa idhini Yangu; na ulipopandisha wafu kwa idhini Yangu; na wakati Nilipokuzuia Waisraeli wasikuumie wakati ulipowafikishia ishara wazi, bado wakafiki wao walisema, 'Hii ni uchawi wa wazi.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 111, "arabic": "وَإِذْ أَوْحَيْتُ إِلَى ٱلْحَوَارِيِّـۧنَ أَنْ ءَامِنُوا۟ بِى وَبِرَسُولِى قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَٱشْهَدْ بِأَنَّنَا مُسْلِمُونَ", "english": "And when I inspired the disciples to believe in Me and in My Messenger, they said, 'We have believed, and bear witness that we are Muslims.'", "kiswahili": "Na wakati Nilipo wahimiza wanafunzi wa Yesu waamini Kwangu na kwa Mtume Wangu, walisema, 'Tumeamini, na ushuhudie kwamba sisi ni Waislamu.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 112, "arabic": "إِذْ قَالَ ٱلْحَوَارِيُّونَ يَـٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ هَلْ يَسْتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَن يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ۖ قَالَ اتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ", "english": "When the disciples said, 'O Jesus, Son of Mary, can your Lord send down upon us a table from the heaven?' He said, 'Fear Allah, if you are believers.'", "kiswahili": "Wakati wanafunzi walisema, 'Ewe Isa Mwana wa Mariam, Je, Mola wako anaweza kututumia meza kutoka mbinguni?' Akasema, 'Mtishi Allahi, ikiwa mmeamini.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 113, "arabic": "قَالُوا۟ نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأْكُلَ مِنْهَا وَتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعْلَمَ أَن قَدْ صَدَقْتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيْهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ", "english": "They said, 'We wish to eat from it and let our hearts be reassured, and to know that you have told us the truth, and that we may be among its witnesses.'", "kiswahili": "Walisema, 'Tunataka kula kutoka kwake na mioyo yetu itakuwa na utulivu, na tuweze kujua kwamba umetueleza kweli, na tuwe miongoni mwa mashahidi wake.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 114, "arabic": "قَالَ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ ٱللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَآ أَنزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدًۭا لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَءَاخِرِنَا وَءَايَةًۭ مِّنكَ ۖ وَٱرْزُقْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ", "english": "Jesus, Son of Mary, said, 'O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table from the heaven to be for us a festival, for the first and the last of us, and a sign from You, and provide for us, for You are the best of providers.'", "kiswahili": "Isa Mwana wa Mariam alisema, 'Ee Allah, Mola wetu, tushukulishe meza kutoka mbinguni iwe sherehe kwetu, kwa wa kwanza na wa mwisho wetu, na ishara kutoka Kwako, na utupe riziki, kwa kuwa Wewe ndiye Mtoaji bora zaidi.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 115, "arabic": "قَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّى مُنَزِّلُهَا عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بَعْدُ مِنكُمْ فَإِنِّىٓ أُعَذِّبُهُۥ عَذَابًۭا لَّآ أُعَذِّبُهُۥٓ أَحَدًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ", "english": "Allah said, 'Indeed, I will send it down upon you; but whoever disbelieves after that among you — I will punish him with a punishment never inflicted upon any of the worlds.'", "kiswahili": "Allah alisema, 'Hakika, nitaituma juu yenu; lakini yeyote atakayekana baada ya hapo miongoni mwenu — nitamlaumu kwa adhabu ambayo haijawahi kutolewa kwa ulimwengu wote.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 116, "arabic": "وَإِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ يَـٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ءَأَنتَ قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ ٱتَّخِذُونِى وَأُمِّىَ إِلَـٰهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ قَالَ سُبْحَـٰنَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِىٓ أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ لِى بِحَقٍّ ۚ إِن كُنتُ قُلْتُهُۥ فَقَدْ عَلِمْتَهُۥ ۚ تَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِى وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ مَا فِى نَفْسِكَ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّـٰمُ ٱلْغُيُوبِ", "english": "And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, 'O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as gods besides Allah?' He will say, 'Exalted are You! It is not for me to say that which I have no right to. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, You are the Knower of the unseen.'", "kiswahili": "Na (kumbuka) siku ambayo Allah atasema, 'Ewe Isa mwana wa Mariamu, je, ulisema kwa watu, 'Wachukulie mimi na mama yangu kuwa miungu badala ya Allah'? Yeye (Isa) atasema, 'Utakasifu Wewe! Si haki yangu kusema kile nisicho na haki ya kusema. Kama ningekisema, Wewe ungingejua. Wewe unajua kilicho ndani yangu, nami sijui kilicho ndani Yako. Hakika Wewe ndiye Mjuzi wa vilivyo fichika.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 117, "arabic": "مَا قُلْتُ لَهُمْ إِلَّا مَآ أَمَرْتَنِى بِهِۦٓ أَنِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ رَبِّى وَرَبَّكُمْ ۚ وَكُنتُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًۭا مَّا دُمْتُ فِيهِمْ ۖ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِى كُنتَ أَنتَ ٱلرَّقِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَأَنتَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ شَهِيدٌ", "english": "I said to them nothing except what You commanded me—to worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord—and I was a witness over them as long as I was among them; but when You took me up, You were the Observer over them, and You are over all things a Witness.", "kiswahili": "Sikuwambia chochote ila kile uliconiamrisha — kuabudu Allah, Mola wangu na Mola wenu — nami nilikuwa shahidi juu yao mradi nilikuwa miongoni mwao; lakini uliponichukua, Wewe ndiye Mlindaji wao, na Wewe ni Shahidi wa kila kitu." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 118, "arabic": "إِن تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ ۖ وَإِن تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ", "english": "If You punish them, indeed they are Your servants; and if You forgive them, indeed it is You who is the Mighty, the Wise.", "kiswahili": "Kama utawaadhibu, hakika wao ni watumishi Wako; na ikiwa utawasamehe, hakika Wewe ndiye Mwenye Nguvu na Mjuzi." }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 119, "arabic": "قَالَ ٱللَّهُ هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ يَنفَعُ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ صِدْقُهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ جَنَّـٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًۭا ۚ رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ", "english": "Allah said, 'This is the Day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness. They will have gardens flowing beneath which rivers run, abiding therein forever. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is the great attainment.'", "kiswahili": "Allah alisema, 'Hii ni siku ambayo waaminifu watapata manufaa kutokana na uaminifu wao. Wataingia katika bustani ambazo mito yake inapitisha, wakikaa humo milele. Allah amekaribishwa nao, nao wanakaribishwa naye. Hiyo ndio mafanikio makubwa.'" }, { "surah": 5, "ayah": 120, "arabic": "لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا فِيهِنَّ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۢ", "english": "To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is in them, and He is over all things competent.", "kiswahili": "Ufalme wa mbingu na ardhi na vyote vilivyo ndani yake ni wa Allah, na Yeye ana uwezo juu ya kila kitu." } ]
