Translation of ZIYARAH ON THE DAY OF ASHURA
Tafsiri ya ZIYARAH ON THE DAY OF ASHURA
اَعْظَمَ اللهُ اُجُوْرَنَا وَاُجُوْرَكُمْ بِمُصَابِنَا بِالْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ
May God increase our rewards and your rewards due to our affliction with Al-Hussein, peace be upon him.
Mungu atuzidishie malipo na malipo yako kutokana na msiba wetu na Al-Hussein, amani iwe juu yake.
وَجَعَلَنَا وَاِيَّاكُمْ مِنَ الطَّالِبِيْنَ بِثَارِهِ
And He made us and you among those seeking his revenge.
Na akatufanya sisi na nyinyi kuwa miongoni mwa wanaotaka kisasi chake.
مَعَ وَلِيِّهِ الْإِمَامِ الْمَهْدِىِّ مِنْ ألِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ.
With his guardian, Imam Mahdi from the family of Muhammad, peace be upon them.
Pamoja na mlezi wake, Imam Mahdi kutoka katika familia ya Muhammad, amani iwe juu yao.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَآ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ
Peace be upon you, O Abu Abdullah.
Amani iwe juu yako ewe Abu Abdullah.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَابْنَ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ
Peace be upon you, son of the Messenger of God
Amani iwe juu yako ewe mwana wa Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ آَمِيْرِ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ
Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Faithful
Amani iwe juu yako ewe mwana wa Amirul-Muuminina
وَ ابْنَ سَيِّدِ الْوَصِيِّيْنَ
And the son of the master of the guardians
Na mtoto wa bwana wa walinzi
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ فَاطِمَةَ
Peace be upon you, son of Fatima
Amani iwe juu yako ewe mwana wa Fatima
سَيِّدَةٍ نِسَآَءِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
Mistress of the women of the worlds
Bibi wa wanawake wa walimwengu
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ثَارَ اللهِ وَ ابْنَ ثَارِهِ وَالْوِثْرَ الْمَوْتُوْرَ
Peace be upon you, O Thaar Allah, the son of Thaar Allah, and the deceased Al-Wathar.
Amani iwe juu yako, ewe Thaar Allah, mwana wa Thaar Allah, na marehemu Al-Wathar.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَى الْاَزْوَاحِ الَّتِي حَلَّتْ بِفِنَآئِكَ
Peace be upon you and upon the marriages that have befallen you.
Amani iwe juu yenu na juu ya ndoa zilizowakuta.
عَلَيْكُمْ مِنَّنْ جَمِيْعًا سَلَامُ اللهِ آَبَدًا
May the peace of God be upon you all forever
Amani ya Mungu iwe juu yenu nyote milele
مَا بَقِيْتُ وَ بَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهَارُ
As long as I stayed and the night and the day remained
Muda wote niliokaa na usiku na mchana kubaki
يَآ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ،
O Abu Abdullah,
Ewe Abu Abdullah,
لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ الرَّزِيَّةُ
The calamity has become great
Msiba umekuwa mkubwa
وَ جَلَّتْ وَ عَظُمَتِ الْمُصِيْبَةُ بِكَ
And the calamity is great and great for you
Na msiba ni mkubwa na mkubwa kwenu
عَلَيْنَا وَ عَلَى جَمِيْعِ اَهْلِ الْإِسْلَامِ
On us and on all people of Islam.
Juu yetu na juu ya watu wote wa Uislamu.
وَ جَلَّثْ وَ عَظُمَثْ مُصِيْبَثُكَ
And your calamity is great
Na msiba wenu ni mkubwa
فِيْ السَّمْوَاتِ عَلَى جَمِيْعِ اَهْلِ السَّمْوَاتِ
In the heavens over all the inhabitants of the heavens
Katika mbingu juu ya wakaaji wote wa mbinguni
فَلَعَنَ اللهُ أُمَّةً اَسَّسَتْ اَسَاسَ الظِّلْمِ وَ الْجَوْرِ عَلَيْكُمْ اَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ
May God curse a nation that laid the foundation of oppression and injustice against you, People of the House.
Mungu na alaani taifa lililoweka msingi wa dhuluma na dhuluma dhidi yenu, watu wa Nyumba.
وَلَعَنَ اللهُ أُمَّةً دَفَعَثْكُمْ عَنْ مَقَامِكُمْ
May God curse the nation that pushed you away from your position.
Mungu alaani taifa lililokuondoa kwenye nafasi yako.
وَ اَزَالَثكُمْ عَنْ مَرَاتِبِكُمُ الَتِيْ رَتَّبَكُمُ اللَهُ فِيْهَا
And remove you from your ranks in which God has placed you.
Na kukuondoeni katika safu zenu ambazo Mwenyezi Mungu amekuwekeni.
وَ لَعَنَ اللهُ أُمَةً قَتَلَثْكُمْ
And God cursed a nation that killed you
Na Mwenyezi Mungu akawalaani watu waliokuuwa
وَ لَعَنَ اللهُ الْمُمَهَّدِينَ لَهُمْ
May God curse those who pave the way for them
Mungu awalaani wale wanaowatengenezea njia
بِا لتَمْكِيْنِ مِنْ قِتَالِكُمْ
To enable you to fight
Ili kukuwezesha kupigana
بَرِثَّثُ إِلَى اللهِ وَ اِلَيْكُمْ مِنْهُمْ
I pray to God and to you from among them.
Ninakuomba kwa Mungu na kwako kutoka miongoni mwao.
وَ مِنْ اَشْيَاعِهِمْ وَ اَثْبَاعِهِمْ وَ اَوْلِيَآئِهِمْ
And from their followers, their followers, and their saints
Na kutoka kwa wafuasi wao, na wafuasi wao, na mawalii wao
يَآ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللّهِ
O Abu Abdullah
Ewe Abu Abdullah
إِنَّيْ سِلَمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمَكُمْ
I am at peace with those who are at peace with you
Nina amani na wale walio na amani pamoja nawe
وَ حَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيمَةِ
And war for those who wage war against you until the Day of Resurrection.
Na vita kwa wanao pigana nanyi mpaka Siku ya Kiyama.
وَ لَعَنَ اللهُ اَلَ زِيَادٍ وَ الَ مَرْوَانَ
May God curse the family of Ziyad and the family of Marwan
Mungu ailaani familia ya Ziyad na familia ya Marwan
وَلَعَنَ اللهُ بَنِي أُمَيَّةً قَاطِبَةً
May God curse all the Umayyads
Mungu awalaani Bani Umayya wote
وَ لَعَنَ اللهُ بْنَ مَرْجَانَةَ
May God curse Bin Marjanah
Mungu amlaani Bin Marjanah
وَ لَعَنَ اللهُ عُمَرَبْنَ سَعْدٍ
May God curse Omar bin Saad
Mungu amlaani Omar bin Saad
وَ لَعَنَ اللهُ شِمْرًا،
And God cursed Shimr.
Na Mungu akamlaani Shimr.
وَلَعَنَ اللهُ أُمَّةًّ اَسْرَجَتْ وَاَلْجَمَثْ
And God cursed a nation that made lamps and cameths
Na Mungu alilaani taifa lililotengeneza taa na ngamia
وَ تَنَقَّبَتْ لِقِتَالِكَ
And I prepared to fight you
Na nilijitayarisha kupigana na wewe
بِآَبِي أَنْتَ وَ أَمِّيْ
You and my mother are welcome
Wewe na mama yangu mnakaribishwa
لَقَدْ عَظَمَ مُصَابِيْ بِكَ
My affliction with you has been great
Mateso yangu na wewe yamekuwa makubwa
فَاسْئَلُ اللّٰهَ الَّذِيّ اَكْرَمَ مَقَامَكَ وَ اَكْرَمَنِيْ بِكَ
So I ask God, who honored your position and honored me through you.
Kwa hiyo ninamwomba Mungu, ambaye aliheshimu nafasi yako na kuniheshimu kupitia wewe.
آَنْ يَزْزُقَنِيْ طَلَبَ ثَارِكَ
I am distressed by your revenge's request
Nimesikitishwa na ombi lako la kulipiza kisasi
مَعَ اِمَامِ مَنْصُوْرٍ مِنْ اَهْلِ بَيْتِ مُحَمَّدِ
With Imam Mansour from the family of Muhammad
Pamoja na Imam Mansour kutoka katika familia ya Muhammad
صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ الِهِ
May God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family
Sala na amani za Mungu ziwe juu yake na familia yake
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي عِنْدَكَ وَجِيِهَا
Oh God, make me worthy of respect to You
Ee Mungu, nifanye nistahili heshima Kwako
بِالْحَسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْأَجِرَةِ
With Al-Hussein, peace be upon him, in this world and the reward
Pamoja na Al-Husein, amani iwe juu yake, katika dunia na malipo
يَآ اَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ
O Abu Abdullah
Ewe Abu Abdullah
اِنَّي اتَقَرَّبُ إِلَى اللهِ وَ إِلْى رَسُوْلِهِ
I draw closer to God and to His Messenger
Najikurubisha kwa Mwenyezi Mungu na kwa Mtume wake
وَ اِلَى اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ اِلَى فَاطِمَةَ
And to the Commander of the Faithful and to Fatima
Na kwa Amirul-Muuminina na Fatima
وَاِلَى الْحَسَنِ وَ اِلَيْكَ بِمُوَالَاتِكَ
And to Al-Hassan and to you with your loyalty
Na kwa Al-Hassan na kwako kwa uaminifu wako
وَ بِالْبَرَآئَةِ (مِمَّنْ قَاتَلَكَ
And with the acquittal (of whoever killed you).
Na kwa kuachiliwa (kwa aliyekuuwa).
وَ نَصَّبَ لَكَ الْحَرْبَ
And he made war against you
Naye akafanya vita dhidi yako
وَ بِالْبَرَآئَّةِ مِمَّنْ اسَّسَ اَسَاسَ الظَّلْمِ وَالْجَوْرِ عَلَيْكُمْ
And by disavowing those who established the foundation of injustice and injustice against you.
Na kwa kuwatenga wale walioweka msingi wa dhulma na dhulma dhidi yako.
وَ أَبْرَءُ اِلَى اللهِ وَ إِلَى رَسُوْلِهِ)
And I disavow before God and His Messenger)
Na mimi ninamkataa Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume wake)
مِمَّنْ أَسَسَ اَسَاسَ ذْلِكَ
Whoever established the foundation for that
Ni nani aliyeweka msingi wa hilo
وَ بَنى عَلَيْهِ بُنْيَانَهُ
And he built his building on it
Naye akajenga jengo lake juu yake
وَ جَزْى فِي ظُلْمِهِ وَجَوْرِهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَ عَلَى اَشْيَاعِكُمْ
And he repaid you and your followers in his injustice and injustice.
Na akakulipa wewe na wafuasi wako katika dhulma yake na dhulma yake.
بَرِئْتُ اِلَى اللهِ وَ اِلَيْكُمْ مِنْهُمْ
I am cleared before God and before them
Nimesafishwa mbele za Mungu na mbele yao
وَ أَتَقَرَّبُ اِلَى اللهِ ثُمَّ اِلَيْكُمْ
And I draw closer to God and then to you
Na mimi hujisogeza karibu na Mungu na kisha kwako
بِمُوَالَاتِكُمْ وَ مُوَالَاةِ وَلِيَّكُمْ
With your loyalty and loyalty to your guardian
Kwa uaminifu wako na uaminifu kwa mlezi wako
وَ بِالْبَرَآئَةِ مِنْ اَعْدَآئِكُمْ
And in disavowal of your enemies
Na kwa kuwakataa maadui zako
وَ النَّاصِبِيْنَ لَكُمُ الْحَرْبَ
And those who wage war against you
Na wale wanaofanya vita dhidi yako
وَبِالْبَرَآئَةِ مِنْ اَشْيَاعِهِمْ وَ اَثْبَاعِهِمْ
And by disavowing their followers and followers,
Na kwa kuwakataa wafuasi na wafuasi wao,
اِنَّيْ سِلَمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمَكُمْ
I am at peace with those who are at peace with you
Nina amani na wale walio na amani pamoja nawe
وَ حَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ
And war against those who wage war against you
Na vita dhidi ya wale wanaokupiga vita
وَوَلِيٌّ لِمَنْ وَالاكُمْ
And a guardian of those who are loyal to you
Na mlinzi wa walio waaminifu kwako
وَ عَدُقُّ لِمَنْ عَادَاكُهْ
And punishment for whoever is hostile to you
Na adhabu kwa anaye kufanyia uadui
فَاَسْئَلُ اللهَ الَّذِي اَكْرَمَنِي بِمَعْرِفَتِكُمْ
So I ask God, who has honored me by knowing you.
Kwa hiyo namwomba Mungu, ambaye ameniheshimu kwa kukujua wewe.
وَ مَعْرِفَةٍ اوْلِيَائِكُمْ
And knowing your saints
Na kuwajua watakatifu wako
وَ رَزَقَنِى الْبَرَآئَةَ مِنْ اَعْدَآئِكُمْ
And He granted me disavowal from your enemies.
Na amenipa chuki na maadui zako.
آَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مَعَكُمْ فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَ الْأخِرَةِ
To make me with you in this world and the hereafter
Ili kunifanya niwe nanyi katika dunia na akhera
وَ اَنْ يُثَبَّتَ لِيْ عِنْدَ كُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ
And that it may be proven to me that you have been truthful.
Na ili ithibitike kwangu kwamba umekuwa wakweli.
فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَ الأَخِرَةِ
In this world and the hereafter
Katika dunia na akhera
وَ اَسْئَلُهُ آَنْ يُتَلَّغَنِيَ الْمَقَامَ الْمَحْمُوْدَ لَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللهِ
And I ask him to grant me the praiseworthy station for you in the sight of God.
Na ninamuomba anijaalie cheo chenye kusifiwa kwako mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu.
وَ اَنْ يَرْزُقَنِيْ طَلَبَ ثَارِيْ
And to grant me my reward
Na kunipa ujira wangu
مَعَ اِمَامِ هُدَّى ظَاهِرٍ
With a clearly guided Imam
Pamoja na Imam aliyeongoka wazi
نَاطِقٍ بِالْحَقَّ مِنْكُمْ
A speaker of the truth from you
Msemaji wa ukweli kutoka kwako
وَ اَسْئَلُ اللٰهَ بِحَقَّكُمْ
And I ask God with your truth
Na ninamuuliza Mungu kwa ukweli wako
وَ بِالشَّأْنِ الَذِي لَكُمْ عِنْدَةً
And regarding the matter that is yours
Na kuhusu jambo ambalo ni lako
آَنْ يُغْطِيَنيْ بِمُصَابِي بِكُمْ
To cover me with your affliction
Ili kunifunika kwa taabu yako
اَفْضَلَ مَا يُغْطِيْ مُصَابًا بِمُصِيْبَتِهِ
The best thing to cover a person suffering from his misfortune.
Jambo bora la kumfunika mtu anayeteseka kutokana na msiba wake.
مُصِيْبَةً مَا اَعْظَمَهَا
What a great calamity
Ni balaa kubwa iliyoje
وَ أَعْظَمَ رَزِيَّتَهَا فِيْ الإِسْلَامِ
And its greatest dignity in Islam
Na heshima yake kubwa katika Uislamu
وَ فِيْ جَمِيْعِ السَّمْوَاتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ
And in all the heavens and the earth
Na katika mbingu zote na ardhi
اَللّهُمَ اجْعَلْنِيْ فِى مَقَامِيْ هَذَا
Oh God, put me in this position
Ee Mungu, niweke katika nafasi hii
مِمَّنْ تَنَالُهُ مِنْكَ صَلَوَاتٌ وَ رَحْمَةٌ وَ مَغْفِرَةُ
From whom may prayers, mercy, and forgiveness be obtained from you?
Sala, rehema, na msamaha zinaweza kupatikana kutoka kwa nani kutoka kwako?
اَللّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ مَخيَاىَ مَحيَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَالِ مُحَمَّدٍ،
Oh God, make my appearance the life of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,
Ewe Mola wangu nijaalie kuwa maisha ya Muhammad na Aali Muhammad.
وَ مَمَاتِيْ مَمَاتَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَالِ مُحَمَّدِ
And my death is the death of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
Na kifo changu ni kifo cha Muhammad na Aali Muhammad
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّ هَذَا يَوْمُّ
Oh God, this is the day
Ee Mungu, hii ndiyo siku
تَبَرَّكَتْ بِهِ بَنُوْ اَمَيَّةَ
The Umayyads were blessed with it
Bani Umayya walibarikiwa nayo
وَابْنُ أكِلَةِ الْاَكْبَادِ
And the son of liver eaters
Na mwana wa kula ini
اللَّعِيْنُ ابْنُ اللَّعِيْنِ
The cursed son of the cursed
Mwana aliyelaaniwa wa aliyelaaniwa
عَلَى لِسَانِكَ وَ لِسَانِ نَبِيِّكَ
On your tongue and the tongue of your Prophet
Katika ulimi wako na ulimi wa Mtume wako
صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَألِهِ
May God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family
Sala na amani za Mungu ziwe juu yake na familia yake
فِيْ كُلِّ مَوْطِنٍ وَ مَؤْقِفٍ
In every place and situation
Katika kila mahali na hali
وَ قَفَ فِيْهِ نَبِيُّكَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ أَلِهِ
And your Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, stood in it.
Na Mtume wenu, swala na salamu zimshukie yeye na aali zake, alisimama humo.
اَللَّهُمّ الْعَنْ آَبَا سُفْيَانَ وَ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَ يَزِيْدَ بْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ
Oh God, curse Abu Sufyan, Muawiyah, and Yazid bin Muawiyah
Ee Mungu, mlaani Abu Sufyan, Muawiyah, na Yazid bin Muawiyah
عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْكَ اللَّغْنَةُ آَبَدَ الْأَبِدِيْنَ
Language is upon them from you forever and ever.
Lugha iko juu yao kutoka kwako milele na milele.
وَ هَذَا يَوْمُ فَرِحَثْ بِهِ اَلْ زِيَادٍ وَ اَلْ مَرْوَانَ
This is a day on which the family of Ziyad and the family of Marwan rejoiced.
Hii ni siku ambayo familia ya Ziyad na familia ya Marwan walifurahi.
بِقَثْلِهِمُ الْحُسَيْنَ صَلَوْاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ
Because of their killing of Hussein, may God’s prayers be upon him
Kwa sababu ya kumuua kwao Husein, sala za Mwenyezi Mungu ziwe juu yake
اَللّهُمَّ فَضَاعِفُ عَلَيْهِمُ الَّعْنَ مِنْكَ
Oh God, increase upon them the curse from You
Ee Mungu, wazidishie laana itokayo kwako
وَ الْعَذَابَ الاَلِيْمَ
And the painful punishment
Na adhabu chungu
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّي اَتَقَرَّبُ إِلَيْكَ فِيْ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ
Oh God, I draw closer to you on this day.
Ee Mungu, ninakukaribia zaidi siku hii.
وَ فِيْ مَوْقِفِيْ هَذَا
And in my position like this
Na katika nafasi yangu kama hii
وَ ايَّامِ حَيوتِيْ
And the days of my life
Na siku za maisha yangu
بِالْبَرَآئَةِ مِنْهُمْ وَ اللَّغْنَةِ عَلَيْهِمْ
By disavowing them and speaking ill of them
Kwa kuwakataa na kuwasema vibaya
وَ بِا الْمُوَالاتِ لِنَبِيِّكَ وَ الِ نَبِيِّكَ
And with loyalty to your Prophet and the family of your Prophet
Na kwa utii kwa Mtume wako na ukoo wa Mtume wako
عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ.
Peace be upon him and upon them.
Amani iwe juu yake na juu yao.
اَللّهُمَّ الْعَنْ اَوَلَ ظَالِم
Oh God, curse the first oppressor
Ee Mungu, mlaani dhalimu wa kwanza
ظَلَمَ حَقَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِ مُحَمَّدٍ
He wronged the rights of Muhammad and his family
Alidhulumu haki za Muhammad na familia yake
وَ أَخِرَ تَابِعٍ لَهَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ
And another follower of him did that
Na mfuasi mwingine wake alifanya hivyo
اَللَّهُمّ الْعَنِ الْعِصَابَةَ الَّتِي جَاهَدَتِ الْحُسَيْنَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ)
Oh God, curse the band that waged jihad against Al-Hussein (peace be upon him)
Ewe Mola walaani wale waliopigana Jihadi dhidi ya Husein (amani iwe juu yake).
وَ شَايَعَتْ وَ بَايَعَتْ وَ تَابَعَثْ عَلَى قَثْلِهِ
And she pledged allegiance, and pledged allegiance, and continued in the same manner as him.
Naye akaweka kiapo cha utii, na kuweka kiapo cha utii, na akaendelea kama yeye.
اَللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْهُمْ جَمِيْعًا.
May God curse them all.
Mungu awalaani wote.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَآ آَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ
Peace be upon you, O Abu Abdullah.
Amani iwe juu yako ewe Abu Abdullah.
وَ عَلَى الْاَرْوَاحِ الَّتِيْ حَلَّتْ بِفِنَآئِكَ
And upon the spirits that descended upon your annihilation
Na juu ya roho zilizoshuka juu ya maangamizo yako
عَلَيْكَ مِنَّنْ سَلَامُ اللهِ آَبَدًا
May the peace of God be upon you forever
Amani ya Mungu iwe juu yenu milele
مَا بَقِيْتُ وَ بَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهَارُ
As long as I stayed and the night and the day remained
Muda wote niliokaa na usiku na mchana kubaki
وَ لَا جَعَلَهُ اللهُ أَخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنِّيْ لِزِيَارَتِكُمْ
May God not make it the last of my promise to visit you.
Mungu asifanye kuwa ahadi yangu ya mwisho kukutembelea.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الْحُسَيْنِ
Peace be upon Al-Hussein
Amani iwe juu ya Hussein
وَ عَلَى عَلِيَّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ
And Ali bin Al-Hussein
Na Ali bin Al-Husein
وَ عَلْى اَوْلَادِ الْحُسَيْنِ
And on the children of Hussein
Na juu ya watoto wa Husein
وَ عَلَى اَضحَابِ الْحَسَيْنِ.
And upon the companions of Hussein.
Na juu ya maswahaba wa Husein.
اَللَهُمَّ خَصَ آَنْتَ آَوَّلَ ظَالِمِ بِاللَّعْنِ مِنَّيْ
Oh God, single out you who are the first unjust to be cursed from me
Ee Mungu, kukutenga wewe ambaye ni wa kwanza kudhulumu kulaaniwa kutoka kwangu
وَابْدَا بِهِ اَوَّلَا
And start with it first
Na anza nayo kwanza
ثَمَّ الْعَنِ الثَّانِي وَ الثَّالِتَ وَ الرَّابِعَ
Then the second, third and fourth
Kisha ya pili, ya tatu na ya nne
اَللّهُمَّ الْعَنْ يَزِيْدَ خَامِسًا
Oh God, curse Yazeed, the fifth
Ee Mungu, mlaani Yazeed, wa tano
وَ الْعَنْ عُبَيْدَ اللهِ بْنَ زِيَادٍ وَابْنَ مَرْجَانَةً
And Al-Ain Ubayd Allah bin Ziyad and Ibn Murjanah
Na Al-Ain Ubayd Allah bin Ziyad na Ibn Murjanah
وَ عُمَرَبْنَ سَعْدٍ وَ شِمْرًا
And the Arabs of Saad and Shamra
Na Waarabu wa Saad na Shamra
وَ اَلَ آَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَ الَ زِيَادٍ وَ الَ مَرْوَانَ
And the family of Abu Sufyan and the family of Ziyad and the family of Marwan
Na familia ya Abu Sufyan na familia ya Ziyad na familia ya Marwan
اِلى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.
Until the Day of Resurrection.

اَللَهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ
O God, praise be to You
Ee Mungu, sifa ni Zako
حَمْدَ الشَّاكِرِيْنَ لَكَ عَلَى مُصَابِهِمْ
Praise those who are thankful to you for their afflictions
Wasifu wale wanaokushukuru kwa shida zao
اَلْحَمْدُ للهُ عَلَى عَظِيْمِ رَزِيَّتِى
Praise be to God for my great well-being
Mungu asifiwe kwa ustawi wangu mkuu
اَللهُمَّ اززُقْنِي شَفَاعَةَ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ) يَوْمَ الْوُرُوْدِ
Oh God, grant me the intercession of Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) on the Day of Roses
Ewe Mola nipe uombezi wa Al-Hussein (amani iwe juu yake) Siku ya Waridi.
وَ ثَبِّثْ لِي قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَكَ
And establish for me the foundation of truthfulness with You
Na uniwekee msingi wa ukweli kwako
مَعَ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ اَضْحَابِ الْحُسَيْنِ
With Al-Hussein and Al-Hussein's companions
Pamoja na Al-Husein na maswahaba wa Al-Husein
الَّذِيْنَ بَذَلُوا مُهَجَهُمْ دُوْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ.
Those who made their mission instead of Al-Hussein, peace be upon him.
Wale waliofanya utume wao badala ya Al-Husein, amani iwe juu yake.
