representative of Imam al-Hasan al-'Askari(a.s.), received a document telling that our master, Imam al-Husayn ibn Ali(a.s.), was born on the third of Sha'ban, therefore, you should observe fasting on this day and say the following

اَللّهُمّ إِنَّيّ اَسْاَلُكَ بِحَقَّ الْمَوْلُوْدِ فِيْ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ
Oh God, I ask you by the right of someone born on this day.
Ee Mungu, nakuuliza kwa haki ya mtu aliyezaliwa siku hii.
الْمَؤْعُوْدِ بِشَهَادَتِهِ قَبْلَ اسْتِهْلَالِهِ وَ وَلَادَتِهِ
The one who is promised his testimony before his initiation and birth
Yule ambaye ameahidiwa ushuhuda wake kabla ya kutawazwa na kuzaliwa kwake
بَكَتْهُ السَّمَاءُ وَ مَنْ فِيْهَا
The sky and everyone in it cried for him
Anga na kila mtu ndani yake walimlilia
وَ الْاَرْضُ وَ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا
And the earth and those on it
Na ardhi na walio juu yake
وَ لَمَّا يَطَأ لَا بَتَيْهَا
And when he stepped on her house
Na alipokanyaga nyumbani kwake
قَتِيْلِ الْعَبْرَةِ
The murderer of the lesson
Muuaji wa somo
وَ سَيِّدِ الأُسْرَةِ
And the master of the family

المَمْدُوْدِ بِالنُّصْرَةِ يَوْمَ الكَرَّةِ
Extended with victory on the Day of Resurrection

الْمُعَوَّضِ مِنْ قَثْلِهِ اَنَّ الاَئِمَّةَ مِنْ نَسْلِهِ
The one who compensates for his loss is that the Imams are from his descendants.
Mwenye kufidia hasara yake ni kwamba Maimamu wanatokana na kizazi chake.
وَ الشَّفَاءَ فِيْ تُرْبَتِهِ
And healing is in its soil
Na uponyaji uko katika udongo wake
وَ الْفَوْزَ مَعَهُ فِيْ اَوْبَتِهِ
And victory is with him in his times
Na ushindi uko pamoja naye katika nyakati zake
وَ الْاَوْصِيَاءَ مِنْ عِثْرَتِهِ
And the guardians are his offence
Na walinzi ni kosa lake
بَعَدَ قَائِمِهِمْ وَ غَيْبَتِهِ
After their leader and his absence
Baada ya kiongozi wao na kutokuwepo kwake
حَثَّى يُذْرِكُوْا الْاَوْتَارَ
Until they forget the strings
Mpaka wanasahau masharti
وَ يَثْارُوْا الثَّارَ
And they revolt
Na wanaasi
وَ يَرْضُوْا الْجَبَّارَ
And they please the tyrant
Na wanamfurahisha dhalimu
وَ يَكُوْنُوْا خَيْرَ اَنْصَارٍ
And they will be the best supporters
Na watakuwa wafuasi bora
صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مَعَ اخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَ النَّهَارِ
May God bless them with the difference between day and night.
Mungu awabariki kwa tofauti ya mchana na usiku.
اَللَّهُمَ فَبِحَقَّهِمْ اِلَيْكَ اَتَوَسَّلُ
Oh God, for their right, I beg of You
Na ukiniacha ni nani atanisaidia?
وَ اَسْاَلَ سُؤَالَ مُقْتَرِفِ مُعْتَرِفِ
And ask the question of a confessor who confesses
Na kuuliza swali la muungamishi ambaye anakiri
مُسِيّءِ إِلَى نَفْيٍهِ
Offensive to deny it
Inakera kukataa
مِمَّا فَرَّطَ فِي يَوْمِهِ وَ أَمْسِهِ
Of what he neglected in his day and yesterday
Yale aliyoyapuuza katika siku yake na jana yake
يَسْاَلُكَ الْعِضمَةَ اِلَى مَحَلَّ رَمْسِهِ،
He asks you for greatness to the place of his arrow,
Anakuomba ukuu mpaka mahali pa mshale wake.
اَللَّهُمَّ فَصَلّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عِثْرَتِهِ
Oh God, bless Muhammad and his misfortune
Ewe Mola mrehemu Muhammad na msiba wake
وَ اخشُّرْنَا فِيْ زُمْرَتِهِ
And make us fear in his company
Na utuogopeshe pamoja naye
وَ بَوِّتَّنَا مَعَهُ دَارَ الْكَرَامَةِ
And we settled with him in a house of dignity.
Na tukakaa naye katika nyumba ya hadhi.
وَ مَحَلَّ الْإِقَامَةِ
And the place of residence
Na mahali pa kuishi
اَللَّهُمَ وَ كَمَا اَكْرَمْتَنَا بِمَعْرِفَتِهِ فَآكْرِمُنَا بِزُلْفَتِهِ
Oh God, just as you have honored us by knowing him, honor us by being close to him.
Ee Mungu, kama vile ulivyotuheshimu kwa kumjua, tuheshimu kwa kuwa karibu naye.
وَ ازْزُقْنَا مُرَافَقَتَهُ وَ سَابِقَتَهُ
And We were blessed to accompany it and precede it.
Na tulibarikiwa kuifuata na tukatangulia.
وَ اجْعَلْنَا مِمَّنْ يُسَلَّمُ لامْرِهِ
And make us among those who submit to His command
Na utujaalie tuwe miongoni mwa wanaosilimu amri yake
وَ يُكْثِرُ الصَّلَاةَ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ ذِكْرِهِ
And many blessings be upon him when he is mentioned.
Na baraka nyingi ziwe juu yake anapotajwa.
وَ عَلَى جَمِيْعِ اَوْصِيَآئِهِ وَ اَهْلِ اَضفِيَآئِهِ
And upon all his guardians and the people of his friends.
Na juu ya walinzi wake wote na watu wa marafiki zake.
الْمَمْدُوْدِيْنَ مِنْكَ بِالْعَدَدِ الْاِثْنَي عَشَرَ
Extended by you in number twelve
Imeongezwa na wewe kwa nambari kumi na mbili
النُّجُوْمِ الزّهَرِ
The stars are blossoming
Nyota zinachanua
وَ الْحُجَجِ عَلَى جَمِيْعِ الْبَشَرِ
And the proofs apply to all people
Na dalili zinawahusu watu wote
اَللَّهُمَّ وَهَبْ لَنَا فِيْ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ خَيْرَ مَؤْهِبَةٍ
Oh God, grant us the best gift on this day.
Ee Mungu, tupe zawadi iliyo bora zaidi siku hii.
وَ انْجِحْ لَنَا فِيْهِ كُلِّ طَلِبَةٍ
And grant us success in every request
Na utupe mafanikio katika kila ombi
كَمَا وَهَبْتَ الْحُسَيْنَ لِمُحَمَّدٍ جَدِّهِ
Just as you gave Al-Hussein to Muhammad, his grandfather.
Kama vile ulivyompa Al-Hussein kwa Muhammad, babu yake.
وَ عَاذَ فَطْرُسُ بِمَهْدِهِ
And Petros took refuge in his cradle
Naye Petro akakimbilia katika kitanda chake
فَنَخْنُ عَائِذُوْنَ بِقَبْرِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ
So we will seek refuge in his grave after him.
Basi tutajikinga katika kaburi lake baada yake.
نَشْهَدُ تُرْبَتَهُ وَ نَنْتَظِرُ اَوْبَتَهُ
We witness its soil and await its return.
Tunashuhudia udongo wake na tunangojea kurudi kwake.
أمِيْنَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ.
Amen, Lord of the Worlds.
Amina, Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.

شَدِيْدُ الْمِحَالِ

Haiwezekani sana
غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْخَلَايِقِ
He is rich in need of creation
Yeye ni tajiri anayehitaji uumbaji
عَرِيْضُ الكِبْرِيَاءِ
High pride
Fahari ya juu
قَادِرٌ عَلَى مَا تَشَآءُ
You are capable of whatever you want
Una uwezo wa chochote unachotaka
قَرِيْبُ الرَّحْمَةِ
Close in mercy
Funga kwa rehema
صَادِقُ الْوَعْدِ
He is faithful to his promise
Yeye ni mwaminifu kwa ahadi yake
سَابِغُ النَّعْمَةِ
I am blessed
Nimebarikiwa
حَسَنُ الْبَلَآءِ
Good affliction
Shida nzuri
قَرِيْبٌ اِذَا دُعِيْتَ
Nearby when you are called
Karibu unapoitwa
مُحِيْطُ بِمَا خَلَقْتَ
Surrounding what you have created
Kuzunguka kile umeunda
قَابِلُ التَّوْبَةِ لِمَنْ تَابَ اِلَيْكَ
Accepting repentance for whoever repents to you
Kukubali toba kwa mwenye kutubia kwako
قَادِرٌ عَلَى مَآ اَرَذْتَ
Able to do what you want
Uwezo wa kufanya kile unachotaka
وَ مُدْرِكٌ مَا طَلَبْتَ
And I realize what you asked for
Na ninatambua ulichoomba
وَ شَكُوْرٌ اِذَا شُكِرْتَ
And make our faces white with it,
Na shukuru unaposhukuru
وَ ذَكُوْرٌ اِذَا ذُكِرْتَ
And mention if you mention
Na taja ukitaja
اَذْعُوْكَ مُخْتَاجًا
I appeal to you in need
Ninakuomba kwa uhitaji
وَ اَرْغَبُ اِلَيْكَ فَقِيْرًا
And I desire You as a poor person
Na nakutamani wewe kama maskini
وَ اَفْزَعُ اِلَيْكَ خَائِفًا
And I turn to you in fear
Nami nakuelekea kwa khofu
وَ اَبْكِيّ اِلَيْكَ مَكْرُوْبًا
And I cry to you in distress
Na ninakulilia kwa dhiki
وَ اَسْتَعِيْنُ بِكَ ضَعِيْفَا
And I seek Your help, weak
Na naomba msaada Wako, dhaifu
وَاَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْكَ كَافِيَّا
And I trust in you sufficiently
Na ninakuamini vya kutosha
أَخْكُمْ بَيْنَنَا وَ بَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا [بِالْحَق]
Your brother between us and our people [in truth]
Ndugu yako baina yetu na watu wetu [kwa kweli]
فَاِنَّهُمْ غَرُّوْنَا وَ خَدَعُوْنَا
For they deceived us and deceived us
Maana walitudanganya na kutuhadaa
وَ خَذَلُوْنَا وَ غَدَرُوْا بِنَا وَ قَتَلَوْنَا
They let us down, betrayed us, and killed us.
Walituangusha, wakatusaliti na kutuua.
وَ نَخْنُ عِثْرَةُ نَبِيِّكَ
And we betray the stumbling block of your Prophet
Na tunasaliti kikwazo cha Mtume wako
وَ وَلَدُ حَبِيْبِكَ
And your lover was born
Mungu wangu, sina budi ila kugeuka na kuacha kukuasi.
مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

الَّذِيْ اضطَفَيْتَهُ بِالرِّسَالَةِ
Which you added with the message
Ambayo umeongeza na ujumbe
وَ اتْتَمَنْتَهُ عَلَى وَخِيِكَ
And you entrusted it to your brother
Na ukamkabidhi ndugu yako
فَاجْعَلَ لَنَا مِنْ اَمْرِنَا فَرَجًا وَ مَخْرَجًا
So make for us a relief and a way out of our affair.
Basi tufanyie nafuu na njia ya kutoka katika mambo yetu.
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ.
By your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
Kwa rehema zako, Ewe Mwenye kurehemu kuliko wanaorehemu.
