DUA FOR THE 30TH NIGHT OF RAMADHAN
DUA YA USIKU WA TAREHE 30 RAMADHANI
اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ،
Praise be to God, He has no partner.
Asifiwe Mwenyezi Mungu, hana mshirika.
الْحَمْدُ للهِ كَمَا يَنْبَغِي لِكَرَمِ وَجْهِهِ
Praise be to God, as befits the generosity of His face.
Sifa njema zote ni za Mwenyezi Mungu, kama inavyostahiki ukarimu wa uso Wake.
وَعِزِّ جَلَالِهِ وَكَمَا هُوَ اَهْلُهُ،
May His Majesty be exalted and His family is as He is.
Utukufu wake utukuzwe na familia yake iwe kama alivyo.
يَا قُدُّوْسُ يَا نُوْرُ
O Holy One, O Light
Ewe Mtakatifu, Ewe Nuru
يَا نُوْرَ الْقُدْسِ،
O light of holiness,
Ewe mwanga wa utakatifu,
يَا سُبُّوْحُ يَا مُنْتَهِى التَّسْبِيْحِ،
O Glory be to Him, O utmost praise,
Ewe Utukufu ni wake, ewe sifa njema kabisa,
يَا رَحْمْنُ يَا فَاعِلَ الرَّحْمَةِ،
O Most Merciful, O Giver of mercy,
Ewe Mwingi wa Rehema, Mwenye kurehemu,
يَا اللهُ يَا عَلِيْهُ
Oh God, oh Aliyah
Ee Mungu, oh Aliyah
يَا كَبِيْرُ يَا اَللهُ
Oh great, oh God
Ee Mungu mkuu
يَا لَطِيْفُ يَا جَلِيْلُ،
Oh gentle, oh venerable,
Ah mpole, mheshimiwa,
يَا اَللهُ يَا سَمِيْعُ يَا بَصِيْرُ،
O God, O Hearing, O All-Seeing,
Ee Mungu, Mwenye kusikia, Mwenye kuona,
يَا اَللهُ يَا اَللهُ يَا اَللهُ،
Oh God, oh God, oh God,
Ee Mungu, ee Mungu, ee Mungu,
لَكَ الْاَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْتُى،
You have the most beautiful names,
Una majina mazuri zaidi,
وَالْاَمْثَالَ الْعُلْيَا،
And the highest examples,
Na mifano ya juu zaidi,
وَالْكِبْرِيَآءُ وَالْألَاَءُ،
And pride and honors,
Na kiburi na heshima,
اَساَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَال مُحَمَدٍ
I ask you to bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
Ninakuomba umbariki Muhammad na familia ya Muhammad
وَآنْ تَجْعَلَ اسمِي فِي هذِهِ اللَّيلَةِ فِي السُعَدَاءِ،
And that you make my name among the happy ones this night,
Na kwamba ulifanye jina langu kati ya wale walio na furaha usiku huu,
وَرُوْحِيْ مَعَ الشَّهَدَاءِ،
And my soul is with the martyrs,
Na roho yangu iko pamoja na mashahidi.
وَإِحسَانِي فِي عِلَّيِّيْنَ،
And my good deeds are in Aliyin,
Na mema yangu yamo katika Aliyin.
وَاِسَآءَتِيْ مَغْفُوْرَةً،
And my transgressions are forgiven,
Na dhambi zangu zimesamehewa.
وَاَنْ تَهَبَ لِي يَقِيْنًا تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِيْ،
And if you grant me certainty that will bring peace to my heart,
Na kama ukinipa yakini itakayoleta amani moyoni mwangu.
وَايْمَانًا يُذْهِبُ الشَّكَّ عَنِّي،
And a faith that removes doubt from me,
Na imani inayoniondolea shaka.
وَتُزِضِيَني بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِيْ،
And You will please me with what You have allotted for me,
Na utaniridhia kwa yale uliyonipa.
وَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَة
And We have given us good in this world
Na tumetupa mema katika dunia hii
وَفِى الْأخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً،
And in the Hereafter it is good,
Na katika Akhera ni kheri.
وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الحَرِيْقِ،
Protect us from the torment of burning fire,
Utulinde na adhabu ya moto uwakao,
وَاززُقْنِي فِيْهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَشُكْرَكَ وَالرَّغْبَةَ اِلَيْكَ
And I mean for him as long as you keep me
Na nibariki kwa kukukumbuka Wewe, kukushukuru Wewe, na kukutamani Wewe.
وَالْإِنَابَةَ وَالتَّوْبَةَ وَالتَّوْفِيْقَ لِمَا وَفَّقْتَ لَهُ مَحَمَّدًا وَألَ مُحَمَّدِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ
And repentance, repentance, and success in what You granted Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.
Na toba, na toba, na kufaulu katika yale uliyomruzuku Muhammad na Aali Muhammad, Mwenyezi Mungu amfikishie rehema na amani.
وَعَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ.
And peace be upon them.
Na amani iwe juu yao.
