DUA FOR THE 24TH NIGHT OF RAMADHAN
DUA YA USIKU WA TAREHE 24 RAMADHANI
يَا قَالِقَ الْاَصْبَاحِ،
O dawn of the morning,
Ewe alfajiri ya asubuhi,
وَجَاعِلَ اللَّيْل سَكَنَا،
And he made the night still,
Na akafanya usiku bado,
وَالتَّمْسِ وَالْقَمَرِ حُسْبَانًا،
And seek and consider the moon,
Na utafute na uzingatie mwezi,
يَا عَزِيْزُ يَا عَلِيْمُ،
Amen, Amen, Lord of the worlds.
Ewe Mwenye nguvu, Ewe Mjuzi,
يَا ذَا المَنَّ وَالطَّوْل،
O Possessor of manna and longevity,
Ewe mwenye mana na maisha marefu,
وَالْقُوَّةِ وَالْحَوْلِ،
And strength and might,
Na nguvu na nguvu,
وَالْفَضْلِ والْإِنْعَامِ،
And grace and blessings,
Na neema na baraka,
وَالْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ،
And glory and honor,
Na utukufu na heshima,
يَا اَللهُ يَا رَخْمْنُ،
I ask you to bless Muhammad and his family,
Ee Mungu, Ee Rachman,
يَا اللّهُ يَا فَرْدُ يَا وِثْرُ،
O God, O Fard, O Thar,
Ee Mungu, Ewe Fard, O Thar,
يَا اَللهُ يَا ظَاهِرُ يَا بَاطِنُ،
O God, O apparent, O hidden,
Ee Mungu, Ewe uliyeonekana, Ewe uliyefichika,
يَا حَيُّ لَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا آَنْتَ،
O Ever-Living, there is no god but You,
Ewe Uliye hai, hapana mungu ila Wewe.
لَكَ الْاَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْتُى،
You have the most beautiful names,
Una majina mazuri zaidi,
وَالْاَمْثَالَ الْعُلْيَا،
And the highest examples,
Na mifano ya juu zaidi,
وَالْكِبْرِيَآءُ وَالْأَلَاءُ،
And pride and honor,
Na kiburi na heshima,
آَساَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَأل مُحَمَّدٍ،
I ask you to bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
Ninakuomba umbariki Muhammad na familia ya Muhammad.
وَآنْ تَجْعَلَ اسمِي فِي هذِهِ اللَّيلَةِ فِي السُعَدَاءِ،
And that you make my name among the happy ones this night,
Na kwamba ulifanye jina langu kati ya wale walio na furaha usiku huu,
وَرُوْحِيْ مَعَ الشَّهَدَاءِ،
And my soul is with the martyrs,
Na roho yangu iko pamoja na mashahidi.
وَإِحسَانِي فِي عِلَّيّيْنَ،
And my good deeds are in Aliyin,
Na mema yangu yamo katika Aliyin.
وَاِسَآءَتِيْ مَغْفُوْرَةً،
And my transgressions are forgiven,
Na dhambi zangu zimesamehewa.
وَاَنْ تَهَبَ لِي يَقِيْنًا تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِيْ،
And if you grant me certainty that will bring peace to my heart,
Na kama ukinipa yakini itakayoleta amani moyoni mwangu.
وَاِيْمَانًا يَذْهَبُ بِالشَّكِّ عَنَّيْ،
And a faith that removes doubt from me,
Ee Mola, utuondolee mashaka,
وَرِضَّى بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِيْ،
And he was satisfied with what you had sworn to me.
Na aliridhika na ulichoniapia.
وَأتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةَ
And We gave goodness in this world
Na tukatoa wema katika dunia hii
وَفِي الأَخِرَةِ حَسَنَهً،
And in the hereafter it will be good,
Na Akhera itakuwa nzuri,
وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الحَرِيْقِ،
Protect us from the torment of burning fire,
Utulinde na adhabu ya moto uwakao,
وَاززُقْنِي فِيْهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَشُكْرَكَ وَالرَّغْبَةَ إِلَيْكَ،
And bless me with remembrance of You, gratitude to You, and desire for You.
Na nibariki kwa kukukumbuka Wewe, kukushukuru Wewe, na kukutamani Wewe.
وَالْاِنَابَةَ وَالتَّوْبَةَ وَالتَّوْفِيْقَ لِمَا وَفَّقْتَ لَهُ مُحَمَّدًا وَالَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ
And repentance, repentance, and success in what You have granted Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, may your blessings be upon him and upon them.
Na toba, toba, na kufaulu katika yale uliyompa Muhammad na Aali Muhammad, baraka zako ziwe juu yake na juu yao.
