يَا اَللهُ يَا اَللَهُ يَا اَللهُ،
Oh God, oh God, oh God,
Ee Mungu, ee Mungu, ee Mungu,
يَا مُجِيْبَ دَعْوَةِ الْمُضْطَرِّيْنَ،
O you who respond to the call of those in need,
Enyi mlioitikia wito wa wenye haja!
يَا كَاشِفَ كُرَبِ المَكْرُوْبِيْنَ،
O Revealer of the distress of the distressed,
Ewe Mfunuaji wa dhiki ya wenye dhiki,
يَا غِيَاتَ الْمُسْتَغِيْثِيْنَ،
O Ghayat of those seeking help,
Ewe Ghayat wa wale wanaoomba msaada.
يَا صَرِيْخَ المُسْتَصْرِخِيْنَ،
O screamer of those who scream,
Ewe mpiga kelele wa wale wanaopiga kelele,
وَ يَا مَنْ هُوَ اَقْرَبُ اِلَيَّ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيْدِ،
O you who are closer to me than my jugular vein,
Ewe uliye karibu nami kuliko mshipa wangu wa shingo.
وَ يَا مَنْ يَحْوْلَ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَ قَلْبِهِ،
O you who comes between a person and his heart,
Ewe uliyeingia baina ya mtu na moyo wake.
وَ يَا مَنْ هُوَ بِالْمَنْظَرِ الْاَعْلَى وَ بِالْأُفِقِ الْمُبِيْنِ،
O you who are in the highest view and the clear horizon,
Enyi mlio juu kabisa na upeo wa macho ulio wazi.
وَ يَا مَنْ هُوَ الرَّخمْنُ الرَّحِيْمُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوْى،
And O He who is the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful, established above the Throne,
Na Ewe Mwingi wa Rehema, Mwingi wa kurehemu, uliyesimama juu ya Arshi.
وَ يَا مَنْ يَعْلَمُ خَائِئَةَ الْاَعيْنِ وَ مَا تُخْفِي الصُدُوْرُ،
And O He who knows what eyes deceive and what breasts hide,
Na ewe Mjuzi wa yale ambayo macho yanadanganya na yanayoficha vifua.
وَ يَا مَنْ لَا يَخْفى عَلَيْهِ خَافِيَةٌ،
O you from whom nothing is hidden,
Ewe ambaye hakifichiki chochote kwako!
يَا مَنْ لَا تَشْتَبِهُ عَلَيْهِ الْاَصوَاتُ،
O He upon whom voices are not suspected,
Ewe ambaye sauti zake hazishuhusiwi.
وَ يَا مَنْ لَا تُغَلَّطُهُ [تُغَلَّظُهُ] الْحَاجَاتُ،
O you who are not misled by needs,
Enyi msipotoshwe na haja,
وَ يَا مَنْ لَا يُبْرِمُهُ اِلْحَاحِ الْمُلِحَيْنَ،
O you who are not comforted by persistent insistence,
Enyi msiofarijika kwa kung'ang'ania,
يَا مُذْرِكَ كُلِّ فَوْتٍ،
O you who remove every loss,
Ewe mwenye kuondoa kila hasara!
وَ يَا جَامِعَ كُلِّ شَمْل،
And O gatherer of all things,
Na Ewe mkusanyaji wa kila kitu.
وَ يَا بَارِئَ النُّفُوْسِ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ،
O Creator of souls after death,
Ewe Muumba wa roho baada ya kufa,
يَا مَنْ هُوَ كُلِّ يَوْمِ فِي شَأْنٍ،
O you who are concerned about a matter every day,
Enyi mnaojishughulisha na jambo kila siku.
يَا قَاضِيَ الْحَاجَاتِ،
O Judge of needs,
Ewe Mwamuzi wa mahitaji,
يَا مُنَفَّسَ الْكُرُبَاتِ،
O reliever of distress,
Ewe mwenye kuondoa dhiki,
يَا مُعْطِيَ السُّؤْلَاتِ،
O Giver of questions,
Ewe Mtoa maswali,
يَا وَلِيَّ الرَّغَبَاتِ،
O Guardian of desires,
Ewe Mlinzi wa matamanio,
يَا كَافِيَ الْمُهِمَّاتِ،
O Sufficient One of tasks,
O ya kutosha ya kazi,
يَا مَنْ يَكْفِي مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ،
O You who are sufficient for everything,
Ewe unayetosha kwa kila kitu,
وَ لَا يَكْفِي مِنْهُ شَيْءُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ،
And nothing of it in the heavens and the earth is sufficient.
Na haitoshi chochote katika mbingu na ardhi.
أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقُّ مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ،
I ask you by the truth of Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets,
Ninakuuliza kwa haki ya Muhammad, Muhuri wa Mitume,
وَ عَلِيَّ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ،
And Ali, the Commander of the Faithful,
Na Ali, Amirul-Muuminina.
وَ بِحَقَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ نَبِيِّكَ،
By the right of Fatima, daughter of your Prophet,
Kwa haki ya Fatima binti ya Mtume wako.
وَ بِحَقَّ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ،
And by the right of Al-Hasan and Al-Hussein,
Na kwa haki ya Al-Hasan na Al-Husein.
فَإِنِّي بِهِمْ آَتَوَجَهُ اِلَيْكَ فِي مَقَامِيْ هَذَا،
It is with them that I turn to you in this position of mine.
Ni pamoja nao ninakugeukia wewe katika nafasi yangu hii.
وَ بِهمْ اَتَوْسَّلُ
And I seek help from them
Na ninaomba msaada kutoka kwao
وَ بِهِمْ أَتَشَفَّعُ إِلَيْكَ،
And through them I intercede with you,
Na kupitia kwao ninakuombea,
وَ بِحَقَّهِمْ اَساَلُكَ وَ أَقْسِمُ وَ اَعْزِمُ عَلَيْكَ،
By their right, I ask you, swear, and resolve against you.
Kwa haki yao, nakuuliza, kuapa, na kuazimia dhidi yako.
وَ بِالشَّأْنِ الَّذِيْ لَهُمْ عِنْدَكَ،
And regarding the matter they have with you,
Na kuhusu mambo waliyo nayo kwako,
وَ بِالْقَدْرِ الَذِيْ لَهُمْ عِنْدَكَ،
And according to the amount that they have with you,
Na kulingana na kiasi walicho nacho kwako,
وَ بِالَّذِيْ فَضَّلْتَهُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِيْنَ،
And by the One whom You have favored over the worlds,
Na kwa uliye mfadhilisha juu ya walimwengu wote.
وَ بِاسْمِكَ الَّذِيْ جَعَلْتَهُ عِنْدَهُمْ،
And in your name which you have given them,
Na kwa jina lako ulilowapa,
وَ بِهِ خَصَصْتَهُمْ دُوْنَ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،
And with it You have singled them out apart from the worlds.
Na kwa hayo umewatenga na walimwengu.
وَ بِهِ اَبَثْتَهُمْ
And with it I spread them
Na kwa hayo ninayaeneza
وَ اَبَثْتَ فَضْلَهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،
And you spread their bounty from the bounty of the worlds,
Na ukaeneza fadhila zao kutoka katika fadhila za walimwengu.
حَثَّى فَاقَ فَضْلُهُمْ فَضْلَ الْعَالَمِيْنَ جَمِيْعًا،
Their bounty exceeds the bounty of all the worlds,
Fadhila zao ni kubwa kuliko fadhila za walimwengu wote.
أَسْأَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ ألِ مُحَمَّدٍ،
I ask you to bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
Ninakuomba umbariki Muhammad na familia ya Muhammad.
وَ اَنْ تَكْشِفَ عَنَّي غَمِّيْ
And remove my grief from me
Na uniondolee huzuni yangu
وَ هَمَّيْ وَ كَرْبِيْ،
And my worry and anguish,
Na wasiwasi na uchungu wangu,
وَ تَكْفِيَني الْمُهِمَّ مِنْ أُمُوْرِيْ،
And you suffice me with the important matters of my affairs,
Na unanitosheleza kwa mambo muhimu ya mambo yangu.
وَتَقْضِيَ عَنَّي دَيْنِي،
And pay off my debt,
Na ulipe deni langu,
وَ تَجِيْرَنِيْ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ
And protect me from poverty
Na unilinde na umasikini
وَ تُجِيْرَنِي مِنَ الْفَاقَةِ،
And protect me from poverty,
Na unilinde na umasikini,
وَ تُغْنِيَنِي عَنِ الْمَسْالَةِ إِلَى الْمَخْلُوْقِيْنَ،
And it spares me the need of beseeching creatures.
Na inaniepusha na haja ya kuwaomba viumbe.
وَ تَكْفِيَني هَمَّ مَنْ آخَافُ هَمَّهُ،
And the worries of those whose worries I fear are sufficient for me,
Na wasiwasi wa wale ambao ninawaogopa wananitosheleza.
وَ عُسْرَ مَنْ اَخَافُ عُسْرَهُ،
And hardship is he who fears his hardship,
Na dhiki ni yule anaye ogopa dhiki yake.
وَ حُزُوْنَةَ مَنْ اَخَافُ حُزُوْنَتَهُ،
And sad is the one whose sadness I fear,
Na mwenye kusikitisha ni yule ambaye ninaogopa huzuni yake.
وَ شَرَّ مَنْ [مَا] آَخَافَ شَرَّهُ،
And evil is he who fears the evil of him,
Na ni muovu mwenye kuogopa shari yake.
وَ مَكْرَ مَنْ آَخَافُ مَكْرَهُ،
And the cunning of he who fears his cunning,
Na ujanja wa anayeogopa hila zake.
وَ بَفْيَ مَنْ آَخَافَ بَغْيَهُ،
And as for him who fears his transgression,
Na ama anaye ogopa uasi wake.
وَ جَوْرَ مَنْ اَخَافُ جَوْرَهُ،
And the tyranny of one whose tyranny I fear,
Na dhulma ya yule ambaye mimi naogopa dhulma yake.
وَ سُلْطَانَ مَنْ اَخَافُ سُلْطَانَهُ،
And the authority of he who fears his authority,
Na mamlaka ya mwenye kuogopa mamlaka yake.
وَ كَيْدَ مَنْ اَخَافُ كَيْدَهُ،
And the plot of one whose plot I fear,
Na vitimbi vya yule ambaye mimi naogopa vitimbi vyake.
وَ مَقْدُرَةَ مَنْ آَخَافُ مَقْدُرَتَهُ عَلَيَّ،
And the power of the one whose power I fear over me,
Na nguvu za yule ambaye ninaogopa juu yangu juu yangu.
وَ تَرُدَّ عَنِّيْ كَيْدَ الكَيَدَةِ،
And the plot of the plot will be turned away from me,
Na njama ya hila itageuzwa kutoka kwangu,
وَ مَكْرَ الْمَكَرَةِ،
And the deception of deception,
Na udanganyifu wa udanganyifu,
اَللَّهُمّ مَنْ اَرَادَنِيْ فَارِدُهُ،
Oh God, whoever wants me, I will return him.
Ee Mungu, yeyote anayenitaka, nitamrudisha.
وَ مَنْ كَادَنِيْ فِكِذْهُ،
And whoever comes close to me, such is the same.
Na anayenikaribia basi huyo ni sawa.
وَ اضرِفْ عَنَّيْ كَيْدَهُ وَ مَكْرَهُ
And turn away from me his plots and deceit
Na uniepushe na njama zake na udanganyifu
وَ بَأْسَهُ وَ آَمَانِيَّهُ،
And his courage and his hopes,
Na ujasiri wake na matumaini yake,
وَ امْنَعْهُ عَنَّيْ كَيْفَ شِئْتَ وَ أَنَّى شِئْتَ.
And withhold it from me however you wish and wherever you wish.
Na unizuie upendavyo na popote upendapo.
اَللّهُمَّ اشغَلْهُ عَنَّيْ
Oh God, keep him busy for me
Ee Mungu, muweke busy kwa ajili yangu
بِفَقْرٍ لا تَجْبُرُهُ،
With poverty you cannot overcome,
Ukiwa na umaskini hauwezi kuushinda,
وَ بِبَلَآءِ لَا تَسْتُرُهُ،
And with a calamity you do not hide,
Wala hujifichi kwa msiba.
وَ بِفَاقَةٍ لَا تَسُدَّهَا،
And with a want you do not fill,
Na kwa uhitaji haujazi,
وَ بِسُقّمِ لَا تُعَافِيْهِ،
And with an illness that you cannot recover from,
Na ugonjwa ambao hauwezi kupona,
وَ ذُلّ لَا تُعِزُّهُ،
And humiliation you do not honor,
Na unyonge hauheshimu,
وَ بِمَسْكَنَةٍ لَا تَجْبُرُهَا.
And with a pain that you cannot force.
Na kwa maumivu ambayo huwezi kulazimisha.
اَللَّهُمَّ اضْرِبْ بِالذُّلَّ نَصْبَ عَيْنَيْهِ،
Oh God, put humiliation before his eyes.
Ee Mungu, weka unyonge mbele ya macho yake.
وَ اَدْخِلْ عَلَيْهِ الْفَقْرَ فِيْ مَنْزِلِهِ،
And bring poverty upon him into his abode,
Na umletee umasikini kwenye makazi yake.
وَ الْعِلَّةَ وَ السُّقْمَ فِيْ بَدَنِهِ،
And the illness and disease in his body,
Na maradhi na maradhi katika mwili wake,
حَثَّى تَشغَلَهُ عَنَّيْ بِشُغْلٍ شَاغِلٍ لَا فَرَاغَ لَهُ،
To distract him from me with busy work that has no free time,
Ili kumsumbua kutoka kwangu na kazi nyingi ambazo hazina wakati wa bure,
وَ اَنْسِهِ ذِكْرِيْ كَمَا اَنْسَيْتَهُ ذِكْرَكَ،
And forget my remembrance just as I forgot your remembrance.
Na usahau ukumbusho wangu kama vile nilivyosahau ukumbusho wako.
وَ خذْ عَنِّيْ بِسَمْعِهِ وَ بَصَرِهِ
And take from me his hearing and his sight.
Na uniondolee kusikia kwake na kuona kwake.
وَ لِسَانِهِ وَ يَدِهِ
And his tongue and his hand
Na ulimi wake na mkono wake
وَ رِجْلِهِ وَ قَلْبِهِ
And his legs and his heart
Na miguu yake na moyo wake
وَ جَمِيْعٍ جَوَارِحِهِ،
And all his limbs,
Na viungo vyake vyote,
وَ اَدْخِلْ عَلَيْهِ فِيْ جَمِيْعِ ذَلِكَ السُّقْمَ،
And enter upon him in all that sickness,
Na muingie katika maradhi yote hayo.
وَ لَا تَشْفِهِ حَتَّى تَجْعَلَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ شُغْلًا شَاغِلًا بِهِ
And do not heal him until you make that a preoccupation for him.
Wala usimponye mpaka umfanyie kazi hiyo.
عَنّي وَ عَنْ ذِكْرِيْ،
On my behalf and on my behalf,
Kwa niaba yangu na kwa niaba yangu,
وَ اكْفِيِيْ يَا كَافِيَ مَا لَا يَكُفِي سِوَاكَ،
And suffice me, O Sufficient One, for no one is sufficient except You.
Na unitoshe, ewe Uliyetosha, kwani hakuna wa kutosha isipokuwa Wewe.
فَاِنَّكَ الْكَافِي لَا كَافِيَ سِوَاكَ،
For you are sufficient and there is no one else who is sufficient.
Kwa maana unatosha na hakuna mwingine anayetosha.
وَ مُفَرِّجُ لَا مُفَرِّجَ سِوَاكَ،
And there is no one to relieve but you,
Wala hakuna wa kufariji ila wewe.
وَ مُغِيْثٌ لَا مُغِيْثَ سِوَاكَ،
And there is no one to help but you,
Na hakuna wa kusaidia ila wewe,
وَ جَارٌ لَا جَارَ سِوَاكَ،
And there is no neighbor but you,
Na hakuna jirani ila wewe,
خَابَ مَنْ كَانَ جَارُهُ سِوَاكَ،
He who has a neighbor other than you is disappointed.
Aliye na jirani zaidi yako amekata tamaa.
وَ مُغِيْتُهُ سِوَاكَ،
And his desire is other than you,
Na matamanio yake ni mengine badala yako.
وَ مَفْزَعُهُ إِلَى سِوَاكَ،
And his fear is nothing but you,
Na hofu yake si chochote ila wewe.
وَ مَهْرَبُهُ اِلَى سِوَاكَ،
And his escape is to you,
Na kutoroka kwake ni kwako,
وَ مَلْجَؤُهُ إِلَى غَيْرِكَ،
And his refuge is in someone else,
Na kimbilio lake ni kwa mtu mwingine.
وَ مَنْجَاهُ مِنْ مَخْلُوْقٍ غَيْرِكَ،
And save him from a creature other than you,
Ili kuwaokoa waja wako na ujinga
فَاَنْتَ ثِقَتِيْ وَ رَجَائِي
You are my trust and my hope
Wewe ni tumaini langu na tumaini langu
وَ مَفْزَعِيْ وَ مَهْرَبِيْ
My fear and my escape
Hofu yangu na kutoroka kwangu
وَ مَلْجَئِي وَ مَنْجَايَ،
And my refuge and refuge,
Na kimbilio langu na kimbilio langu,
فَبِكَ اَسْتَفْتِحُ،
Through you I seek victory,
Kupitia wewe natafuta ushindi,
وَ بِكَ اَسْتَنْجِحُ،
And in you I find success,
Na ndani yako ninapata mafanikio,
وَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِ مُحَمَّدٍ
And by Muhammad and his family
Na Muhammad na Aali zake
آَتَوَجَهُ اِلَيْكَ، وَ اَتَوَسَّلُ وَ اَتَشَفَّعُ،
I turn to you, I beg and intercede,
Nakugeukia wewe, naomba na kukuombea,
فَاساَلُكَ يَآ اَللهُ يَآ اَللَهُ يَآ اَللهُ،
So I ask you, O God, O God, O God,
Kwa hiyo nakuuliza, Ee Mungu, Ee Mungu, Ee Mungu,
فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَ لَكَ الشُّكْرُ،
To you be praise and thanks to you,
Kwako ni sifa na shukrani kwako,
وَ اِلَيْكَ الْمُشتَكَى وَ آَنْتَ الْمُسْتَعَانُ،
To You is the complaint, and You are the One who is helped.
Malalamiko ni Kwako, na Wewe ndiye unayesaidiwa.
فَاسْاَلُكَ يَآ اَللهُ يَآ اَللهُ يَآ اَللهُ،
So I ask you, O God, O God, O God,
Kwa hiyo nakuuliza, Ee Mungu, Ee Mungu, Ee Mungu,
بِحَقَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أل مُحَمَّدٍ،
By the right of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,
Kwa haki ya Muhammad na Aali zake Muhammad.
آَنْ تُصَلَّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أل مُحَمَّدٍ،
To send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,
Kutuma baraka juu ya Muhammad na familia ya Muhammad,
وَ آَنْ تَكْشِفَ عَنَّيْ غَمَّيْ وَ هَمَّنْ وَ كَرْبِيْ
And to remove from me my grief, anxiety, and anguish
Na kuniondolea huzuni, wasiwasi na uchungu
فِيْ مَقَامِيْ هَذَا،
In this position,
Katika nafasi hii,
كَمَا كَشَفْتَ عَنْ نَبِيِّكَ هَمَّهُ وَ غَمَّهُ وَ كَزْبَهُ،
Just as you revealed from your Prophet his worry, his grief and his grief,
Kama ulivyomteremshia Mtume wako wasiwasi wake, huzuni yake na huzuni yake.
وَ كَفَيْتَهُ هَوْلَ عَدُوِّهِ،
And I sufficed him with the terror of his enemy,
Na nikamtosheleza kwa hofu ya adui yake.
فَاكْشِفْ عَنَّيْ كَمَا كَشَفْتَ عَنْهُ،
So reveal me as you revealed him,
Basi nidhihirishe kama ulivyomfunulia.
وَ فَرِّجُ عَنِّيْ كَمَا فَرَّجْتَ عَنْهُ،
And relieve me as you relieved him,
Na unisaidie kama ulivyomtuliza.
وَ اكْفِنِيْ كَمَا كَفَيْتَهُ،
And suffice me as you suffice him,
Na mimi inanitosheleza kama unavyomtosheleza yeye.
وَ اضرِفْ عَنَّي هَوْلَ مَآ آَخَافُ هَوْلَهُ،
And turn away from me the horror of what I fear,
Na uniepushe na hofu ya ninayo yaogopa.
وَ مَثُوْنَةَ مَآ آَخَافٌ مَئُوْنَتَهُ،
And Mithunah did not fear his supply.
Na Mithuna hakuogopa ugavi wake.
وَ هَمَّ مَآ آَخَافُ هَمَّهُ،
And he was worried about what I feared,
Na alikuwa na wasiwasi juu ya kile nilichoogopa,
بِلَا مَثُوْنَةٍ عَلَى نَفْسِيْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ،
I do not blame myself for that,
Sijilaumu kwa hilo,
وَ اضرِفْنِي بِقَضَاءِ حَوَائِجِيْ،
And honor me by fulfilling my needs,
Na uniheshimu kwa kunitimizia mahitaji yangu,
وَ كِفَايَةٍ مَا اهَمَّنِيْ هَمُّهُ
Enough of what worries me
Inatosha kwa kile kinachonitia wasiwasi
مِنْ اَمْرِ اخِرَتِيْ وَ دُنْيَايَ،
From the affairs of my hereafter and this world,
Kutokana na mambo ya Akhera yangu na dunia.
يَآ أَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ،
O Commander of the Faithful,
Ewe Amirul Muminin!
وَ يَآ آَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ،
And O Abu Abdullah,
Na Ewe Abu Abdullah!
عَلَيْكُمَا مِنَّيِ سَلَامُ اللهِ آَبَدًا،
May the peace of God be upon you forever,
Amani ya Mungu iwe juu yenu milele,
مَا بَقِيْتُ وَ بَقِيَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهَارُ،
As long as I stayed and the night and the day remained,
Nilipokaa na kukaa usiku na mchana,
وَ لَا جَعَلَهُ اللهُ أَخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنْ زِيَارَتِكُمَا،
May God not make it the end of the period of visiting you.
Mungu asifanye mwisho wa kipindi cha kukutembelea.
وَ لَا فَرَّقَ اللهُ بَيْنِي وَ بَيْنَكُمَا.
And God makes no difference between me and you.
Na Mungu hafanyi tofauti kati yangu na wewe.
اَللَّهُمَّ اَخٍنيْ حَيَاةَ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ ذُرَّيَّتِهِ،
Oh God, grant me the life of Muhammad and his descendants.
Ewe Mola nijaalie uhai wa Muhammad na kizazi chake.
وَ أَمِثْنِيْ مَمَاتَهُمْ،
And their deaths reward me,
Na vifo vyao vinanilipa,
وَ تَوَفَّنِيْ عَلَى مِلَّتِهِمْ،
And let me die following their religion,
Na nife kwa kufuata dini yao.
وَ اخشّرْنِيْ فِيْ زَمْرَتِهِمْ،
And make me fear among their group,
Na uniogopeshe miongoni mwa kundi lao.
وَ لَا تُفَرِّقْ بَيْنِيْ وَ بَيْنَهَمْ
And the stronghold of the believers
Wala msinipambanue mimi na wao
طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ آَبَدًا،
Never blink of an eye,
Usipepese macho kamwe,
فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَ الأٰخِرَةِ،
In this world and the hereafter,
Katika dunia na Akhera,
يَآ اَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
O Commander of the Faithful
Ewe Amiri wa Waumini
وَ يَآ آَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ،
And O Abu Abdullah,
Na Ewe Abu Abdullah!
أَتَّيْتُكُمَا زَآئِرًا
I came to you as a visitor
Nilikuja kwako kama mgeni
وَ مُتَوَسِّلَا إِلَى اللهِ رَبَّيْ وَ رَبَّكُمَا،
And entreating God, my Lord and your Lord,
Na muombeni Mwenyezi Mungu, Mola wangu Mlezi na Mola wenu Mlezi.
وَ مُتَوَجِّهَا اِلَيْهِ بِكُمَا،
And heading towards him with you,
Na kuelekea kwake pamoja nawe,
وَ مُسْتَشَفِعًا بِكُمَا إِلَى اللهِ تَعَالَى فِيْ حَاجَتِيْ هَذِهِ،
I seek your intercession with God Almighty in this need of mine.
Naomba maombezi yako kwa Mungu Mwenyezi katika hitaji langu hili.
فَاشفَعَا لِيْ
So intercede for me
Basi niombee
فَاِنَّ لَكُمَا عِنْدَ اللهِ الْمَقَامَ الْمَحْمُوْدَ،
For you both have a praised position with God.
Kwa maana nyote wawili mna nafasi ya kusifiwa na Mungu.
وَ الْجَاهَ الْوَجِيْهَ،
And the honorable position,
Na nafasi ya heshima,
وَ المَنْزِلَ الرَّفِيْعَ وَ الْوَسِيْلَةَ،
And the high status and means,
Na hali ya juu na njia,
اِنَّي اَنْقَلِبُ عَنْكُمَا،
I will turn away from you,
nitakuacha,
مُنْتَظِرًا لِتَنَجُّزِ الْحَاجَةِ،
Waiting for the need to be fulfilled,
Kungoja haja ya kutimizwa,
وَ قَضَائِهَا وَ نَجَاحِهَا مِنَ اللهِ،
Its destiny and success are from God.
Hatima na mafanikio yake yanatoka kwa Mungu.
بِشَفَاعَتِكُمَا لِيَ إِلَى اللَهِ فِي ذَلِكَ،
Through your intercession for me to God regarding this,
Kwa maombezi yako kwangu kwa Mungu kuhusu hili,
فَلَا آَخِيْبُ
I will not be disappointed
Sitakatishwa tamaa
وَ لَا يَكُوْنُ مُنْقَلَبِي مُثقَلَبًا خَائِبًا خَاسِرًا،
And let my heart not be disillusioned, disappointed and lost.
Na usiruhusu moyo wangu ukatishwe tamaa, ukatishwe tamaa na upotee.
بَلْ يَكُوْنُ مُنْقَلَبِي مُنْقَلَبَا رَاجِحًا
Rather, my turning will be a successful turning
Badala yake, kugeuka kwangu kutakuwa kugeuka kwa mafanikio
رَاجِيًا مُفْلِحًا مُنْجِحًا مُسْتَجَابًا،
Hopeful, prosperous, prosperous, and answered,
Mwenye matumaini, mwenye mafanikio, mwenye kufanikiwa, na akajibu,
بِقَضَاءِ جَمِيْعِ حَوَائِجِيْ،
By meeting all my needs,
Kwa kukidhi mahitaji yangu yote,
وَ تَشَفَّعَا لِيْ إِلَى اللهِ.
And intercede for me with God.
Na uniombee kwa Mungu.
انْقَلَبْتُ عَلَى مَا شَاءَ اللهُ،
I turned to what God willed,
Niligeukia vile Mungu alivyopenda,
وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّ بِاللهِ
There is no power nor strength except in God
Hakuna nguvu wala nguvu ila kwa Mwenyezi Mungu
مُفَوَّضَا آَمْرِيْ إِلَى اللهِ،
Delegating my command to God,
Kukabidhi amri yangu kwa Mungu,
مُلْجِئًا ظَهْرِيْ إِلَى اللهِ،
Turning my back to God,
Kugeuza mgongo wangu kwa Mungu,
مُتَوَكَّلًا عَلَى اللهِ،
Trusting in God,
Kumtumaini Mungu,
وَ اَقُوْلُ حَسْبِيَ اللهُ وَ كَفِى
And I say: God is sufficient for me and that is enough
Nami nasema: Mungu ananitosheleza na hiyo inatosha
سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ دَعَا،
God hears whoever calls,
Mungu husikia aitaye,
لَيْسَ لِي وَرَآءَ اللهِ
I do not follow God
Simfuati Mungu
وَ وَرَآءَكُمْ، يَا سَادَتِيْ مُنْتَهَى،
And behind you, gentlemen, is the end.
Na nyuma yenu, waheshimiwa, ni mwisho.
مَا شَاءَ رَبِّيْ كَانَ،
Whatever my Lord wills, it will happen.
Apendalo Mola wangu Mlezi, litatokea.
وَ مَا لَمْ يَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ،
And what He did not will, it did not happen.
Na kile ambacho hakutaka hakikufanyika.
وَلَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ،
There is no power nor strength except in God,
Hakuna nguvu wala nguvu ila kwa Mwenyezi Mungu.
اَسْتَوْدِعُكُمَا اللهَ،
I entrust you to God,
Ninakukabidhi kwa Mungu,
وَ لَا جَعَلَهُ اللهُ أَخِرَ الْعَهْدِ مِنَّي اِلَيْكُمَا،
May God not make it the last of the covenant from me to you.
Mungu asifanye kuwa mwisho wa agano kutoka kwangu kwako.
اِنْصَرَفْتُ يَا سَيِّدِيْ يَآ آَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ مَؤْلَايَ
I have departed, O my master, O Commander of the Faithful and my companion.
Mungu akupe faraja mwanao Hussein.
وَ أَنْتَ يَآ آَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ يَا سَيِّدِيْ،
And you, O Abu Abdullah, my lord,
Na wewe, ewe Abu Abdullah, bwana wangu!
وَ سَلَامِي عَلَيْكُمَا مُتَّصِلْ
My peace be upon you both
Amani yangu iwe juu yenu nyote wawili
مَا اتَّصَلَ اللَّيْلُ وَ النَّهَارُ،
As long as day and night are connected,
Kwa muda mrefu kama mchana na usiku zimeunganishwa,
وَاصِلّ ذَلِكَ اِلَيْكُمَا
I keep that coming to you both
Ninaendelea kuwajia nyinyi wawili
غَيْرُ مَحْجُوْبٍ عَنْكُمَا سَلَاَمِي
My peace is not withheld from you
Amani yangu haijazuiliwa kwenu
اِنْ شَآءَ اللهُ،
hopefully,
kwa matumaini,
وَ اَساَلُهُ بِحَقَّكُمَا آَنْ يَشَآءَ ذَلِكَ وَ يَفْعَلَ،
And I ask Him by your right whether He wills this and does it.
Nami namuomba kwa haki yako kama anataka hili na akalifanya.
فَاِنَّهُ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ،
For He is Praiseworthy and Glorious,
Kwani Yeye ni Msifiwa na Mtukufu.
اِنْقَلَبْتُ يَا سَيِّدَيَّ عَنْكُمَا،
I have turned away from you, my lords,
Nimejitenga nanyi, mabwana zangu,
تَآئِبًا حَامِدًا للهِ،
Repentant, praising God,
Kutubu, kumsifu Mungu,
شَاكِرًا رَاحِيًا لِلإِجَابَةِ
Thank you very much for the answer
Asante sana kwa jibu
غَيْرَ أيِس وَ لَا قَانِطِ،
Not despairing or despondent,
Sio kukata tamaa au kukata tamaa,
آَئِبَا عَآئِدًا رَاجِعًا اِلَى زِيَارَتِكُمَا
Coming back to visit you
Kurudi kukutembelea
غَيْرَ رَاغِبِ عَنْكُمَا، وَ لَا مِنْ زِيَارَتِكُمَا،
He is not unwilling to visit you or to visit you.
غَيْرَ رَاغِبِ عَنْكُمَا، وَ لَا مِنْ زِيَارَتِكُمَا،
بَلْ رَاجِعٌ عَائِدٌ اِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ،
Rather, I will return, God willing.
Badala yake, nitarudi, Mungu akipenda.
وَ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ اِلَا بِاللهُ،
There is no power nor strength except in God,
Hakuna nguvu wala nguvu ila kwa Mwenyezi Mungu.
يَا سَادَتِيْ رَغِبْتُ اِلَيْكُمَا وَ اِلَى زِيَارَتِكُمَا،
Gentlemen, I would like to see you and your visit.
Waungwana, ningependa kuwaona na ziara yenu.
بَعْدَ آَنْ زَهِدَ فِيْكُمَا، وَ فِيْ زِيَارَتِكُمَا آَهْلُ الدُّنْيَا.
After he abstained from you, and from visiting you, the people of the world.
Baada ya kujiepusha nanyi, na kukuzuru, enyi watu wa dunia.
فَلَا خَيَّبَنِيَ اللهُ مَا رَجَوْتُ، وَ مَا آَمَّلْتُ فِيْ زِيَارَتِكُمَا.
May God not let me down in what I hoped for and what I hoped for in your visit.
Mungu asiniangushe katika yale niliyotarajia na yale niliyotarajia katika ujio wako.
اِنَّهُ قَرِيْبٌ مُجِيْبٌ.
He is near and responds.
Yuko karibu na anajibu.
