DUA AFTER EVERY OBLIGATORY PRAYERS (2) You may also say the following supplicatory prayer after all obligatory prayers in Ramadan:
DUA BAADA YA KILA SWALA ZA WAJIBU.
يَا عَلِيُّ يَا عَظِيْمُ،
O Most High, O Great,
Ewe Mkuu, Ewe Mkuu,
يَا غَفُوْرُ يَا رَحِيْمُ،
O Forgiving, O Merciful,
Ewe Mwenye kusamehe, Ewe Mwenye kurehemu,
اَنْتَ الرَّبُّ الْعَظِيْمُ
You are the great Lord
Wewe ndiwe Bwana mkuu
الَذِيْ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ
There is nothing like Him
Hakuna kitu kama Yeye
وَهُوَ السَّمِيْعُ البَصِيْرُ،
And He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing,
Naye ni Mwenye kusikia, Mwenye kuona.
وَهَذَا شَهْرٌ عَظَّمْتَهُ وَكَرَّمْتَهُ،
This is a month which You have venerated and honored.
Huu ni mwezi ambao umeuheshimu na kuuheshimu.
وَشَرَّفْتَهُ وَفَضَّلْتَهُ عَلَى الشَّهُوْرِ،
And You honored him and favored him above the months,
Na ukamtukuza na ukamfadhilisha kuliko miezi.
وَهُوَ الشَّهْرُ الَذِي فَرَضْتَ صِيَامَهُ عَلَيَّ،
This is the month in which you imposed fasting on me.
Huu ndio mwezi ambao ulinilazimisha kufunga.
وَهُوَ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ، الّذِيْ أَنْزَلْتَ فِيْهِ الْقُرْانَ،
It is the month of Ramadan, in which the Qur’an was revealed.
Ni mwezi wa Ramadhani ambao imeteremshwa ndani yake Qur’an.
هُدَّى لَلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الْهُدْى وَالْفُرْقَانِ،
A guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and the Criterion,
Uwongofu kwa watu na hoja zilizo wazi za uwongofu na upambanuzi.
وَجَعَلْتَ فِيْهِ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ،
And you made therein the Night of Decree,
Na ukaufanya humo usiku wa amri.
وَجَعَلْتَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْ اَلْفِ شَهْرٍ،
And You made it better than a thousand months,
Na ukaifanya kuwa bora kuliko miezi elfu.
فَيَا ذَا الْمَنَّ وَلَا يُمَنّ عَلَيْكَ،
So, O possessor of manna, it will not be bestowed upon you.
Basi, ewe mwenye mana, hautapewa.
مُنَّ عَلَيَّ بِفَكَاكِ رَقَبَتِيْ مِنَ النَّارِ فِيْمَنْ تَمُنُّ عَلَيْهِ،
Bestow upon me by freeing my neck from the Fire, for whomever you bestow upon me,
Nijaalie kwa kuikomboa shingo yangu na Moto, kwa yule utakayenipa.
وَاَدْخِلْنِى الْجَنَّةَ
And admit me to Paradise
Na uniingize Peponi
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ -
By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful -
Kwa rehema zako, Ewe Mwingi wa Rehema kuliko Mwenye kurehemu.
