Amal of 13th, 14th, & 15th of jamadu al awwal — Rites, Supplications & Translation

من المستحب زيارة السيدة فاطمة الزهراء (عليها السلام) وإقامة مجالس العزاء في هذه الأيام الثلاثة، إذ ورد أنها عاشت بعد والدها سبعين وخمسًا أيام فقط. وبناءً عليه، فمن المحتمل أن تكون قد توفيت في أحد هذه الأيام الثلاثة لأن النبي الأكرم (صلى الله عليه وآله) توفي في الثامن والعشرين من صفر. وفي اليوم الخامس عشر من جمادى الأولى، هـ 36، فتح الإمام علي أمير المؤمنين (عليه السلام) مدينة البصرة. كما وُلِد الإمام زين العابدين (عليه السلام) في هذا اليوم؛ لذا يُستحب زيارة الإمامين (عليهما السلام) في هذا اليوم.

It is proper to visit Lady Fatimah al-Zahra’ (a.s.) and to hold consolation ceremonies on these three days, for it has been narrated that she lived after her father only seventy-five days. Accordingly, she must have departed life on one of these three days because the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) departed life on the twenty-eighth of Safar. On the fifteenth of Jumadi al-Awwal, AH 36, Imam Ali Ameer al-Momineen (a.s.) conquered the city of al-Basrah. Also, Imam Zayn al-’Abidin (a.s.) was born on this day; therefore, it is proper to visit both the Imams (a.s.) on this day.
