وَ إِغْدَادِيْ وَ اسْتِعْدَادِيْ
And my lunch and my preparation
Na chakula changu cha mchana na maandalizi yangu
رَجَاءَ رِفْدِكَ وَ جَوَائِزِكَ
Hope for your support and rewards
Natumai kwa msaada wako na zawadi
نَوَافِلِكَ وَ فَوَاضِلِد
We will perform your voluntary prayers and be persistent
Tutatekeleza maombi yako ya hiari na kuwa na subira
وَ فَضَائِلِكَ وَ عَطَايَاكَ
And your virtues and your gifts
Na fadhila zako na karama zako
وَ قَدْ غَدَوْتُ إِلَى عِيْدٍ مِنْ اَعْيَادٍ أُمَّةٍ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ
And I have come to one of the festivals of the nation of your Prophet Muhammad.
Na nimekuja kwenye moja ya sikukuu za umma wa Mtume wenu Muhammad.
صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَى الِهِ
May God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family
Sala na amani za Mungu ziwe juu yake na familia yake
وَ لَمْ آَفِذْ اِلَيْكَ الْيَوْمَ بِعَمَلِ صَالِحِ اَثِقُ بِهِ قَدَّمْتُهُ
And I have not done to you today a good deed which I have confidence in.
Wala sikukutendea jambo jema leo ambalo ninalitumaini.
وَ لَا تَوَجِّهْتُ بِمَخْلُوْقٍ اَمَلْتُهُ
And do not direct yourself to a created being that you have given your hope to.
Wala usijielekeze kwa kiumbe ulichompa matumaini.
وَ لَكِنْ اَتَيْثُكَ خَاضِعًا
But I will come to you submissively
Lakini nitakuja kwenu kwa kunyenyekea
مُقِرًّا بِذُنُوْبِي وَ إِسَآءَتِي إِلَى نَفْسِيْ
Confessing my sins and my offense against myself
Kukiri dhambi zangu na kosa langu dhidi yangu mwenyewe
فَيَا عَظِيْمُ يَا عَظِيْمُ يَا عَظِيْمُ
So great, oh great, oh great
Kubwa sana, oh kubwa, oh kubwa
اِغْفِرْ لِيَ الْعَظِيمَ مِنْ ذُنُوْبِيْ
Forgive me my great sins
Nisamehe dhambi zangu kubwa
فَاِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذِّنُوْبَ الْعِظَامَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ
For no one forgives major sins except you.
Kwani hakuna anayesamehe madhambi makubwa isipokuwa wewe.
يَا لَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا آَنْتَ
There is no god but You
Hapana mungu ila Wewe
يَآ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ-
O Most Merciful of the merciful -
Ewe Mwingi wa rehema kuliko wanaorehemu -
