AAMAL & DUAS FOR THE DAYS OF RAMADHAN The rites that are advisably practiced on the days of Ramadan are as follows:

Instructions

First: It is recommended to say the following supplicatory prayer that is mentioned by Shaykh al-Tusi and Sayyid Ibn Tawus:

اَللَهُمَّ هَذَا شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ

Oh God, this is the month of Ramadan

الَّذِيْ أَنْزَلْتَ فِيْهِ الْقُرَاْنَ

In which You revealed the Qur’an

هُدَىَّ لِلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الْهُدْى وَالْفُرْقَانِ،

A guidance for mankind and clear proofs of guidance and the Criterion,

وَهَذَا شَهْرُ الصِّيَامِ،

This is the month of fasting,

وَهَذَا شَهْرُ الْقِيَامِ،

This is the month of Resurrection,

وَهَذَا شَهْرُ الإِنَابَةِ،

This is the month of delegation.

وَهَذَا شَهْرُ التَّوْبَةِ،

This is the month of repentance.

وَهَذَا شَهْرُ المَغْفِرَةِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ،

This is the month of forgiveness and mercy.

وَهَذَا شَهْرُ العِثْقِ مِنَ النَّارِ وَالْفَوْزِ بِالجَنَّةِ،

This is the month of liberation from Hell and the attainment of Paradise.

وَهَذَا شَهْرٌ فِيْهِ لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ

This is a month in which is the Night of Decree.

الَتي هِيَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ اَلْفِ شَهْرٍ،

Which is better than a thousand months,

اَللّهُمَّ فَصَلَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ واَل مُحَمَّدٍ،

O God, bless Muhammad and his family,

وَاَعِنِّي عَلَى صِيَامِهِ وَقِيَامِهِ،

And my livelihood was expanded upon me,

وَسلَّمْهُ لِي وَسَلَّمْنِي فِيْهِ،

And he delivered it to me and delivered it to me,

وَاَعِنِّي عَلَيْهِ بِاَفْضَلِ عَوْنِكَ،

And help him with your best help,

وَوَفَّقْيِي فِيْهِ لِطَاعَتِكَ وَطَاعَةِ رَسُولِكَ واَوْلِيَآئِكَ

And grant me success in it to obey You and to obey Your Messenger and your saints.

صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ،

May God bless them,

وَفَرِّغْنِي فِيْهِ لِعِبَادَتِكَ وَدُعَآئِكَ وَتِلَاوَةِ كِتَابِكَ،

And make me free to worship You, supplicate to You, and recite Your Book.

وَاَعْظِمْ لِيْ فِيْهِ الْبَرَكَةِ،

And increase my blessing therein,

وَاَحسِنْ لِي فِيْهِ الْعَافِيَةَ،

And grant me good health therein,

وَاصِحَ فِيْهِ بَدَنِيْ،

And my body is healthy,

وَاَوْسِعْ لِي فِيْهِ رِزْقِي،

And expand for me my provision therein,

وَاكْفِنِي فِيْهِ مَا اَهَمَّنِيْ

And protect me from it as long as it worries me

وَاسْتَجِبْ فِيْهِ دُعَائِي،

And by your power by which all things were subjected,

وَبَلَغْنِي رَجَآئيْ،

And my hope reached me,

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَالِ مُحَمَّدٍ،

O God, bless Muhammad and his family,

واَذْهِبْ عَنَّي فِيْهِ النُّعَاسَ وَالْكَسَلَ وَالسَّامَةَ

And remove from me drowsiness, laziness and sluggishness.

وَالْفَثْرَةَ وَالْقَسْوَةَ وَالْغَفْلَةَ وَالْغِرَّةَ،

And arrogance, cruelty, heedlessness, and deceit,

وَجَنَّبْنِي فِيْهِ الْعِلَلَ وَالْأَسْقَامَ

And spare me from illnesses and diseases therein.

وَالْهُمُوْمَ وَالْاَحْزَانَ

And worries and sorrows

وَالْاَعْرَاضَ وَالْاَمْرَاضَ

Symptoms and diseases

وَالْخَطَايَا وَالذَّنُوْبَ،

And sins and transgressions,

وَاضرِفْ عَنَّيْ فِيْهِ السُّوْءَ وَالْفَخْشَاءَ

And turn away from me therein evil and immorality.

الجَهْدَ وَالبَلا.

Effort and weariness.

وَالتَّعَبَ وَالْعَنَاءَ

And fatigue and trouble

إِنَّكَ سَمِيْعُ الدُّعَاءِ،

You are the Hearer of supplications.

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَال مُحَمَّدٍ،

O God, bless Muhammad and his family,

وَاَعِذْنِي فِيْهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ

And protect me from Satan, the accursed.

وَهَمْزِهِ وَلَمْزِهِ وَنَفْتِهِ وَنَفْخِهِ

And his hamza, lamzah, naftah, and naffeh

وَوَسْوَسَتِهِ وَتَتْبِيْطِهِ وَبَطْشِهِ وَكَيْدِهِ

And by the right of the one with whom you sent it,

وَمَكْرِهِ وَحَبَائِلِهِ وَخَدَعِهِ وَاَمَانِيِّهِ

And his cunning and his tricks and his deceptions and his hopes

وَغُرُوْرِهِ وَفِثْنَتِهِ وَشَرَكِهِ وَاحْزَابِهِ

And his arrogance, his idolatry, his polytheism, and his parties.

وَاَثْبَاعِهِ وَاَشْيَاعِهِ وَاَوْلِيَآئِهِ وَشُرَكَآئِهِ

And his followers, his followers, his guardians, and his partners

وَجَمِيْعٍ مَكَائِدِهِ،

And all his schemes,

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَألِ مُحَمَّدٍ،

O God, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَازْزُقْنَا قِيَامَهُ وَصِيَامَهُ

We made it necessary for him to pray and fast

وَبُلَوْغَ الْاَمَلِ فِيْهِ وَفِيْ قِيَامِهِ،

And the attainment of hope in Him and His resurrection,

وَاسْتِكْمَالَ مَا يُرْضِيْكَ عَنَّيْ

And complete what pleases you with me

صَبْرًا وَاحْتِسَابًا وَاِيْمَانَا وَيَقِيْنًا،

Patience, expectation, faith and certainty,

ثُمَّ تَقَبَلْ ذَلِكَ مِنَّيْ بِالْاَضْعَافِ الْكَثِيْرَةِ،

Then accept that from me many times over.

وَالْاَجْرِ الْعَظِيمِ

And the great reward

يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،

O Lord of the worlds,

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَال مُحَمَّدٍ

O God, bless Muhammad and his family

وَازْزُقْنِي الْحَجّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ

And grant me Hajj and Umrah

وَالْجَدَّ وَالْاِجْتِهَادَ

Seriousness and diligence

وَالْقُوَّةَ وَالنَّشَاطَ

And strength and activity

وَالاِنَابَةَ والتَّوْبَةَ

And repentance and repentance

وَلِلتَّوْفِيْقِ وَالْقُرْبَةَ

And for success and closeness

وَالْخَيْرَ الْمَقْبُولَ وَالرَّغْبَةَ وَالرَّهْبَةَ

And acceptable goodness, desire, and dread.

وَالتَضَرُّعَ وَالْخُشُوْعَ

And supplication and humility

وَالرِّقَةَ وَالنِّيَّةَ الصَّادِقَةَ،

tenderness and sincere intentions,

وَصِدْقَ اللَّسَانِ،

And the truth of the tongue,

وَالْوَجَلَ مِنْكَ،

And the shame of you,

وَالرَّجَاءَ لَكَ،

And hope is yours,

وَالتَّوَكُّلَ عَلَيْكَ،

And trust in you,

وَالثَّقَةَ بِكَ،

And trust in you,

وَالْوَرَعَ عَنْ مَحَارِمِكَ،

And abstain from your mahrams,

مَعَ صَالِحِ القَوْلِ،

With good words,

وَمَقْبُوْلِ السَّعْي،

And the effort is acceptable,

وَمَرْفَوْعِ الْعَمَلِ،

And the nominative action,

وَمُسْتَجَابِ الدَّعْوَةِ،

And the one who responds to the call,

وَلَا تَحْلَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ شَيْءٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ

And do not come between me and any of that.

بِعَرَض وَلَا مَرَضٍ

And you have before me a consequence or a sin that you want to punish me with on the day I meet you.

وَلَا هَمَّ وَلَا غَمِّ

There is no worry or sadness

وَلَا سُقْمِ وَلَا غَفْلَةٍ وَلَا نِسْيَانٍ،

No sickness, no heedlessness, no forgetfulness.

بَلْ بِالتَّعَاهَدِ وَالتَّحَفّظِ لَكَ وَفِيْكَ،

Rather, by pledging and being faithful to you and in you,

وَالرِّعَايَةِ لِحَقَّكَ، وَالْوَفَاءِ بِعَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ

Caring for your rights and fulfilling your covenant and promise.

بِرَحمَتِكَ يَآ أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ،

By your mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful,

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَال مُحَمَّدٍ

O God, bless Muhammad and his family

وَاقْسِمْ لِي فِيْهِ اَفْضَلَ مَا تَقْسِمُهُ لِعِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ،

And divide for me therein the best of what you divide for Your righteous servants.

وَاَعْطِنِي فِيْهِ اَفْضَلَ مَا تُغْطِي آَوْلِيَاءَكَ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ،

And give me the best of what you can cover for your close guardians.

مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَالْمَغْفِرَةِ وَالتَّحَنُّنِ وَالْإِجَابَةِ

Of mercy, forgiveness, compassion, and response.

وَالْعَفْوِ وَالْمَغْفِرَةِ الدَآئِمَةِ، وَالْعَافِيَةِ وَالْمُعَافَاةِ،

And eternal pardon and forgiveness, and well-being and well-being,

وَالْعِثْقِ مِنَ النَّارِ، وَالْفَوْزِ بِالْجَنَّةِ،

And protection from Hell, and winning Paradise,

وَخَيْرِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْأَخِرَةِ،

And the best of this world and the hereafter,

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَالِ مُحَمَّدٍ،

O God, bless Muhammad and his family,

وَاجْعَلْ دُعَآئِي فِيْهِ اِلَيْكَ وَاصِلًا،

And make my supplication to you continuous,

وَرَحْمَتَكَ وَخَيْرَكَ اِلَىَّ فِيْهِ نَازِلًا،

And Your mercy and Your goodness descend into it,

وَعَمَلِيْ فِيْهِ مَقْبُوْلًا،

And my work in it is acceptable.

وَسَعْبِي فِيْهِ مَشْكُوْرًا،

And my effort in it will be grateful,

وَذَنْبِي فِيْهِ مَغْفُوْرًا،

And my sin is forgiven in it,

حَثَّى يَكُوْنَ نَصِيْبِيْ فِيْهِ الْاكْثَرَ،

So that my share in it will be greater,

وَحَظِّي فِيْهِ الْاَوْفَرَ،

And he had the best luck therein,

اَللّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَالِ مُحَمَّدٍ،

O God, bless Muhammad and his family,

وَوَفَّقْنِيْ فِيْهِ لِلَيْلَةِ الْقَذْرِ

And he made me stay in it for the filthy night.

عَلَى اَفْضَلِ حَالٍ تُحِبُّ اَنْ يَكُوْنَ عَلَيْهَا آَحَدٌ مِنْ اَوْلِيَآئِكَ، وَاَرْضَاهَا لَكَ،

At best, you would like one of your guardians to be over her, and he would be satisfied with you.

ثُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا لِي خَيْرًا مِنْ اَلْفِ شَهْرٍ،

Then make it better for me than a thousand months.

وَاززُقْنِي فِيْهَا اَفْضَلَ مَا رَزَقْتَ آَحَدًا مِمَّنْ بَلَغْتَهُ اِيَاهَا وَاَكْرَمْتَهُ بِهَا،

And bestow upon me the best of what You have bestowed upon anyone whom you have conveyed it to and honored with it.

وَاجْعَلْنِي فِيْهَا مِنْ عُتَقَآئِكَ مِنْ جَهَنَمَ،

And make me one of your freedmen from hell,

وظُلَقَائِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ،

And your companions from the fire,

وَسُعَدَآءِ خَلْقِكَ بِمَغْفِرَتِكَ وَرِضْوَانِكَ

And Your creation is happy with Your forgiveness and Your satisfaction.

يَا ازحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ،

O most merciful crowd,

اَللّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلْى مُحَمَّدٍ وَأل مُحَمَّدٍ،

O God, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَازْزُقْنَا فِيْ شَهْرِنَا هَذَا الْجِدَّ وَالْإِجْتِهَادَ،

We have been burdened with diligence and diligence during this month.

وَالْقُوَّةَ وَالنَّشَاطَ،

And strength and activity,

وَمَا تُحِبُّ وَتَرْضى،

And what you love and are satisfied with,

اَللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ الْفَجْرِ وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ، وَالشَّفْعِ وَالْوَثْرِ،

O God, Lord of the dawn and the ten nights, and of intercession and saving,

وَرَبَّ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ، وَمَا آَنْزَلْتَ فِيْهِ مِنَ الْقُرْانِ،

By the month of Ramadan, and what you revealed of the Qur’an in it,

وَرَبَّ جَبْرَئِيْلَ وَمِنْكَائِيْلَ واِسْرَافِيْلَ وَعِزْرَآئِيْلَ

And the Lord of Gabriel, and Mankiel, and Israfil, and Azrael

وَجَمِيْعِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ،

And all the angels who are close to each other,

وَرَبَّ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَاِسْمَاعِيْل

And the Lord of Abraham and Ishmael

وَاِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوْبَ،

And Isaac and Jacob,

وَرَبَّ مُوسى وَعِيْسى

And the Lord of Moses and Jesus

وَجَمِيْعِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَالْمُرْسَلِيْنَ،

And all the prophets and messengers,

وَرَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ

And the Lord of Muhammad is the Seal of the Prophets

صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ،

Your blessings be upon him and them all,

وَاَسْاَلُكَ بِحَقَّكَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَبِحَقَّهِمْ عَلَيْكَ،

And I ask you by your right over them and by their right over you,

وَبِحَقَّكَ الْعَظِيمِ لَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَيْهِ وَألِهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ اجْمَعِيْنَ،

And by Your great truth when You sent blessings upon him and his family and upon them all,

وَنَظَرْتَ اِليَّ نَظْرَة رَحِيْمَةَ

And you looked at me with mercy

تَرْضى بِهَا عَنَّي رِضىً لَا سَخَطَ عَلَيَّ بَعْدَهُ آَبَدًا،

He was so well pleased with me that he would never be angry with me after that.

وَاغْطَيْتَنِن جَمِيْعَ سُوْلِي وَرَغْبَتِي وَأُمْنِيَّتِي وَاِرَادَتِي،

You covered all my requests, desires, wishes, and wills.

وَصَرَفْتَ عَنَّي مَا آَكْرَهُ وَاَحْذَرُ

You have diverted from me what I hate and beware of

وَآَخَافُ عَلَى نَفْسِيْ وَمَا لَا آَخَافُ،

And I fear for myself and what I do not fear,

وَعَنْ اهْلِيْ وَمَالِيْ وَإِحْوَانِيْ وَذرِّيَّتِيْ،

And about my family, my money, my loved ones, and my offspring,

اَللّهُمَّ اِلَيْكَ فَرَرْنَا مِنْ ذُنُوْبِنَا فَاوِنَا تَآئِبِيْنَ

O God, to You we flee from our sins, and make us repentant.

وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا مُسْتَغْفِرِيْنَ،

And turn to us, asking forgiveness,

وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا مُتَعَوِّذِيْنَ،

And forgive us who seek refuge,

وَاَعِذْنَا مُسْتَجِيْرِيْنَ،

And seek refuge from us,

وَاَجِزْنَا مُسْتَسْلِمِيْنَ،

And reward us with submission,

وَلا تَخْذُلْنَا رَاهِبِيْنَ،

And do not let us down, monks.

وامِنًّا رَاغِبِيْنَ،

And believing and willing,

وَشَفَّعْنَا سَآئِلِيْنَ،

And We made intercession, asking,

وَآَعْطِنَا إِنَّكَ سَمِيْعُ الدُّعَآءِ قَرِيْبٌ مُجِيْبٌ،

And grant us that You are the Hearer of supplications, Near and Answerer.

اَللَهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبَّيْ وَاَنَا عَبْدُكَ

Oh God, you are my Lord and I am your servant

وَاَحَقُّ مَنْ سَاَلَ الْعَبْدُ رَبَّهُ

The most worthy is he who asks the servant of his Lord

وَلَمْ يَسْاَلِ الْعِبَادُ مِثْلَكَ كَرَمًا وَجُوْدًا،

The servants did not ask for generosity and generosity like you.

يَا مَوْضِعَ شَكْويَ السَّائِلِيْنَ،

O place of the complainants of those who ask,

وَيَا مُنْتَهَى حَاجَةِ الرَّاغِبِيْنَ،

O the utmost need of those who desire,

وَيَا غِيَاتَ الْمُسْتَغِيْنِيْنَ،

Oh, the desires of those who seek help,

وَيَا مُجِيْبَ دَعْوَةِ الْمُضطَرِّيْنَ،

O you who respond to the call of those in need,

وَيَا مَلْجَاَ الْهَارِبِيْنَ،

O refuge for fugitives,

وَيَا صَرِيْخَ الْمُسْتَصْرِخِيْنَ،

Oh the screams of those who cry out,

وَيَا رَبَّ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِيْنَ،

O Lord of the oppressed,

وَيَا كَاشِفَ كَزْبِ الْمَكْرُوْبِيْنَ،

O you who uncover the lies of the distressed,

وَيَا فَارِجَ هَمّ الْمَهْمُؤْمِيْنَ،

O You who relieve the worries of the anxious,

وَيَا كَاشِفَ الكَرْبِ العَظِيْمِ

O revealer of great distress

يَا اَللهُ يَا رَخْمْنُ يَا رَحِيْمُ

O God, O Compassionate, O Merciful

يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

O most merciful of all those who show mercy!

صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَالِ مُحَمَّدٍ،

Blessings be upon Muhammad and his family,

وَاغْفِزْ لِيْ ذُنُوْبِيْ وَعُيُوْبِيْ

And forgive me my sins and my faults

وَاِسَآءَتِي وَظُلْمِي وَجُرْمِيْ

And my abuse, my injustice, and my crime

وَاِسْرَافِيْ عَلى نَفْسِيْ،

And I am extravagant with myself,

وَازْزُقْنِيْ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ

And grant me sustenance from Your grace and mercy

فَاِنَّهُ لَا يَمْلِكُهَا غَيْرُكَ،

Because no one else owns it,

وَاغْفُ عَنّي

And forgive me

وَاغْفِرْ لِي كُلَّ مَا سَلَفَ مِنْ ذُنُوْبِيْ،

And forgive me all my past sins,

وَاعْصِمْنِي فِيْمَا بَقِيَ مِنْ عُمْرِيْ،

And protect me for the remainder of my life,

وَاسْتُرْ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى وَالِدَيَّ

O people of piety and O people of forgiveness,

وَوَلَدِيْ وَقَرَابَتِيْ وَاَهْلِ حُزَانَتِيْ

And my children, my relatives, and my family

وَمَنْ كَانَ مِنَّي بِسَبِيْلِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ فِيْ الدُّنْيَا وَالْأَخِرَةِ

And whoever of the believing men and believing women is of mine in this world and the hereafter,

فَاِنَّ ذَلِكَ كُلَّهُ بِيَدِكَ

For this is all in your hand

وَانْتَ وَاسِعُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ،

And You are most forgiving,

فلا تَخَيَّبْنِيْ يَا سَيَّدِيْ،

Do not disappoint me, my lord.

وَلَا تَرُدَّ دُعَآئِيْ وَلَا يَدِيْ إِلَى نَخْرِيْ

My supplication will not be rejected, nor will my hand be defeated.

حَثّى تَفْعَلَ ذَلِكَ بِي، وَتَسْتَجِيْبَ لِي جَمِيْعَ مَا سَالْثُكَ،

Until you do this to me, and you respond to me everything I ask you,

وَتَزِيْدَنِيْ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ

And give me more of your grace

فَاِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءِ قَدِيْرٌ،

For You are Powerful over all things,

وَنَخْنُ اِليْكَ رَاغِبُوْنَ،

And we betray you, desiring,

اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْاسْمَاءُ الْحُسْتى،

Oh God, you have the most beautiful names.

وَالْاَمْثَالَ الْعُلْيَا،

And the highest examples,

وَالْكِبْرِيَآءُ وَالْألَاءُ،

And pride and honor,

اَساَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ

I ask you in your name

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمْنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

إِنْ كُنْتَ قَضَيْتَ فِي هِذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ

If you spent this night

تَنَزُّلَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالرُّوْحِ فِيْهَا

The angels and the spirit descended therein

آَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَألِ مُحَمَّدٍ،

That you may bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَآَنْ تَجْعَلَ اسمِي فِيْ السُّعَدَاَءِ،

And I spent my youth in the intoxication of being far from you.

وَرُوْجِيْ مَعَ الشَّهَدَاءِ،

And be promoted with the martyrs,

وَاِحْسَانِي فِيْ عِلَيِّيْنَ،

And grant me goodness in Aliyin,

وَاِسَاَءَتِيْ مَغْفُوْرَةً

My offenses are forgiven

وَاَنْ تَهَبَ لِي يَقِيْنًا تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِيْ،

And if you grant me certainty that will bring peace to my heart,

وَاِيْمَانًا لَا يَشْوْبُهُ شَكٌّ،

With faith not tinged with doubt,

وَرِضىّ بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِيْ،

And I am satisfied with what you have sworn to me,

وَاتِنِي فِيْ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةُ وَفِى الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةَ

Give me good in this world and good in the Hereafter

وَقِنىٰ عَذَابَ النَّارِ،

Protect me from the torment of the Fire,

وَاِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ قَضَيْتَ فِيْ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ

Of doubt or suspicion

تَنَزُلَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالرُّوْحِ فِيْهَا

The angels and the spirit descend therein

فاخَزْنِيْ اِلَى ذلِكَ،

Store me in that,

وَاززُقَنِيْ فِيْهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَ شُكْرَكَ

And bless me with your remembrance and gratitude therein.

وَطَاعَتَكَ وَحْسْنَ عِبَادَتِكَ

I obey you and worship you well

وصَلَّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَالِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Blessings be upon Muhammad and his family

بِاَفْضَلِ صَلَوَاتِكَ يَآ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِميْنَ

With the best of your prayers, O Most Merciful of the Merciful

يَا آَحَدُ يَا صَمَدُ،

O One, O Samad,

يَا رَبَّ مُحَمَّدٍ،

O Lord Muhammad,

اغْضَبِ الْيَوْمَ لِمُحَمَّدٍ وَلِاَبْرَارٍ عِثْرَتِهِ

Today I am angry with Muhammad and with Abrar because of his stumble.

وَاقْتُلْ اَعْدَآءَهُمْ بَدَدًا،

And kill their enemies utterly,

وَاَخصِهمْ عَدَدًا،

And single them out in number,

وَلَا تَدَعْ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ مِنْهُمْ آَحَدًا،

And do not leave any of them on the surface of the earth.

وَلَا تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ آَبَدًا،

Peace be upon Muhammad and his family, whenever an eye blinks or sparkles,

يَا حَسَنَ الصُحْبَةِ

Oh good company

يَا خَلِيْفَةَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ

O successor of the prophets

أَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy

الْبَدِيءُ البَدِيْعُ

The wonderful beginning

الَّذِيْ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِكَ شَيْءٌ،

There is nothing like you,

وَالدَّائِمُ غَيْرُ الْغَافِلِ،

And the eternal and not heedless,

وَالَحَيُّ الَذِيْ لَا يَمُوْتُ،

And the living that does not die,

أَنْتَ كُلِّ يَوْمِ فِيْ شَانٍ،

You are in a matter every day,

أَنْتَ خَلِيْفَةُ مُحَمَّدٍ،

You are the successor of Muhammad,

وَناصِرُ مُحَمَّدٍ،

And Nasser Muhammad,

وَمُفَضَّلُ مُحَمَّدٍ،

And Mufaddal Muhammad,

آَساَلُكَ آَنْ تَنصُرَ وَصِيّ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَخَلِيْفَةَ مُحَمَّدٍ،

I ask you to support the successor of Muhammad and the successor of Muhammad.

وَالْقَائِمَ بِالْقِسْطِ مِنْ اَوْ صِيَاءِ مُحَمَّدٍ

And the One who administers justice is from the name of Muhammad

صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ،

Your blessings be upon him and them,

اِعْطِفْ عَلَيْهِمْ نَصْرَكَ

Give them your help

يَا لَا اِلَهَ اِلَّا أَنْتَ،

O there is no god but You,

بِحَقَّ لَا اِلَهَ اِلَّا آَنْتَ،

Truly, there is no god but You,

صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَالِ مُحَمَّدٍ،

Blessings be upon Muhammad and his family,

وَاجْعَلْنِيْ مَعَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْأَخِرَةِ،

And make me with them in this world and the hereafter,

وَاجْعَلْ عَاقِبَةَ آَمْرِيْ اِلَى غُفْرَانِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ

And make the outcome of my affairs depend on Your forgiveness and mercy.

يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ،

O Most Merciful of the merciful,

وَكَذْلِكَ نَسَبْتَ نَفْسَكَ يَا سَيَّدِيْ بِاللَّطِيفِ،

And likewise, my lord, you described yourself as kind.

بَلى اِنَّكَ لَطِيْفٌ،

Yes, you are kind.

فَصَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَألِ مُحَمَّدٍ

So bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad

وَالْطُفْ لِمَا تَشَآءُ،

And be kind to whatever you want,

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَألِ مُحَمَّدٍ،

O God, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَاززُقْنِى الحَجّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ فِيْ عَامِنَا هَذَا،

And make Hajj and Umrah sadden me in this year of ours.

وَتَطَوَلْ عَلَيَّ بِجَمِيْعِ حَوَائْجِي لِلْآخِرَةِ وَالدُّنْيَا

And take care of all my needs for the hereafter and this world

Instructions

Then repeat the following imploration three times:

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ رَبَّي وَأَتُوْبُ إِلَيْهِ

I ask forgiveness from God, my Lord, and I repent to Him

اِنَّ رَبِّي قَرِيْبُ مُجِيْبٌ،

Indeed, my Lord is near and responds,

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ رَبَّي وَاَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ

And my hope in your beautiful generosity will not be cut off.

اِنَّ رَبِّيْ رَحِيْمٌ وَدُوْدٌ،

Indeed, my Lord is Merciful and Loving,

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ رَبِّي وَأَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ

I ask forgiveness from God, my Lord, and I repent to Him

اِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا

Indeed, he was forgiving

اَللَّهُمّ اغْفِرْ لِيْ

Oh God, forgive me

اِنَّكَ اَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ،

Indeed, You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.

رَبَّ إِنَّي عَمِلْتُ سُوَءًا وَظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِيْ

My Lord, I have done evil and wronged myself.

فَاغْفِزْ لِيْ إِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنُوْبَ اِلَّا آَنْتَ،

So forgive me, for no one forgives sins except you.

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ الَّذِيْ لَا اِلَهَ اِلَّا هُوَ

I ask forgiveness from God, besides whom there is no god

الْحَيُّ الْقَيُوْمُ الْحَلِيمُ الْعَظِيمُ

The Ever-Living, the Ever-Merciful, the Great

الْكَرِيْمُ الْغَفَّارُ لِلِذَّنْبِ الْعَظِيمِ

He has invited me to Paradise, your reward is great.

وَاتُوْبُ اِليْهِ،

And I repent to Him,

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّهَ

I ask God for forgiveness

اِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَجِيْمًا

Indeed, God is Forgiving, Most Merciful

Instructions

Then, keep on saying the following:

اَللَّهُمّ إِنَّي آَسالُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَألِ مُحَمَّدٍ،

Oh God, I ask you to bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad,

وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَ فِيْمَا تَقْضِي وَتُقَدَّرُ

And to do what you decree and decree

مِنَ الْأَمْرِ الْعَظِيمِ الْمَحْتُومِ فِيْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ

Among the great things that are inevitable in the Night of Decree

مِنَ الْقَضَآءِ الَّذِيْ لَا يُرَدُّ وَلَا يُبَدَّلُ،

Of the decree that cannot be refuted or changed,

اَنْ تَكْتُبَنِيْ مِنْ حُجَّاجِ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ،

That you appoint me as one of the pilgrims to your Sacred House,

الْمَبْرُوْرِ حَجُّهُمْ،

Their Hajj is accepted,

الْمَشْكُوْرِ سَعْيُهُمُ،

Thankful for their efforts,

الْمَغْفُوْرِ ذُنُوْبُهُمُ،

whose sins are forgiven,

الْمُكَفَّرِ عَنْهُمْ سَيَّئَاتُهُمْ،

whose sins are atoned for,

وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَ فِيْمَا تَقْضِيْ وَتُقَدَّرُ اَنْ تُطِيْلَ عُمْرِيْ

And that You do what You decree and You are able to prolong my life.

وَتُوَسِّعَ رِزْقِيْ،

And my livelihood expanded,

وَتُؤَدِّيْ عَنَّي اَمَانَتِيْ وَدَيْنِيْ،

And you fulfill my trust and my debt on my behalf,

أمِيْنَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،

Amen, Lord of the Worlds,

اَللَّهُمّ اَجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ امْرِي فَرَجًا وَمَخْرَجًا،

Oh God, make my situation a relief and a way out.

وَاززُقْيِيْ مِنْ حَيْثُ اَختَسِبُ وَمِنْ حَيْثُ لَا آَخْتَسِبُ،

And provide for me from where I profit and from where I do not profit.

وَاخْرُسْنِيْ مِنْ حَيْثُ اَخْتَرِسُ وَمِنْ حَيْثُ لَا اَخْتَرِسُ

And silence me from where I am silenced and from where I am not silenced.

وَصَلَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَالِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَسَلَّمْ كَثيرًا.

He sent blessings and peace upon Muhammad and his family.
