Instructions

After reciting all these Surahs, one may, still facing the kiblah, say the following supplicatory prayer:

صَدَقَ اللهُ الْعَطِيْمُ

God Almighty has spoken the truth

الَّذِيْ لَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا هُوَ

There is no god but Him

الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ

The Ever-Living, the Eternal

ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَ الْإِكْرَامِ

the Lord of majesty and honor,

الرَّخمْنُ الرَّحِيْمُ

the All-beneficent, the All-merciful,

الْحَلِيْمُ الْكَرِيْمُ

And there is no incense from Ajaj

الَذِيْ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ

There is nothing like Him

وَ هُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ

and He is the Allhearing, the Allknowing.

الْبَصِيْرُ الْخَبِيْرُ

The All-Seeing, the All-Aware

شَهِدَ اللهُ أَنَّهُ لَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا هُوَ

God bears witness that there is no god but Him

وَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَ أُوْلُوا الْعِلْمِ

The angels and the men of learning too are witness.

قَائِمًا بِالْقِسْطِ

Adhering to justice

لَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ

There is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise

وَ بَلْغَتْ رُسُلُهُ الْكِرَامُ

And His noble messengers conveyed the message

وَ آَنَا عَلَى ذَالِكَ مِنَ الشَّاهِدِيْنَ

And we are among the witnesses to that

اَللّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ

O Allah, to You belongs all praise,

وَ لَكَ الْمَجْدُ

And to you be the glory

وَ لَكَ الْعِزُّ

Glory be to you

وَ لَكَ الْفَخْرُ

And you are proud

وَ لَكَ الْقَهْرُ

And yours is oppression

وَ لَكَ النِّعْمَةُ

And blessing be upon you

وَلَكَ الْعَظَمَةُ

Greatness is yours

وَ لَكَ الرَّحْمَةُ

And mercy be upon you

وَ لَكَ الْمَهَابَةُ

And you are feared

وَ لَكَ السُّلْطَانُ

And you have the authority

وَ لَكَ الْبَهَاءُ

To You belongs splendor

وَلَكَ الْاِمْتِنَانُ

Thank you

وَ لَكَ التَّسْبِيْحُ

And praise be to You

وَ لَكَ التَّقْدِيْسُ

To you is sanctification

وَ لَكَ التَّهْلِيْلُ

And praise be to you

وَ لَكَ التَّكْبِيْرُ

And to you is the greatest

وَ لَكَ مَا يُرَىٰ

And for you is what is seen

وَ لَكَ مَا لَا يُرَىٰ

And it receded without your attention, its greatness being the hooks of the eyes of the people.

وَلَكَ مَا فَوْقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ الْعُلَىٰ،

And to you is what is above the highest heavens,

وَ لَكَ مَا تَحْتَ الثَّرَىٰ

And for you is what is under the earth

وَ لَكَ الْاَرَضُوْنَ السُّفْلِى

And the lower lands are yours

وَ لَكَ الْآخِرَةُ وَ الْأَوْلَى

And the hereafter and the first are yours

وَ لَكَ مَا تَرْضَىٰ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّنَاءِ وَ الْحَمْدِ

And you have whatever praise and praise you are pleased with.

وَ الشُّكْرِ وَ النَّعْمَاءِ

And gratitude and blessings

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى جَبْرَئِيْلَ

O God, bless Gabriel

اَمِيْنِكَ عَلَى وَخِيِكَ

Your trust is upon your brother

وَ الْقَوِيِّ عَلَى آَمْرِكَ

And the one who is strong in your command

وَ الْمُطَاعِ فِي سَمَاوَاتِكَ وَ مَحَالَ كَرَامَاتِكَ

And the obedient in Your heavens and the places of Your generosity.

الْمُتَحَمَّلِ لِكَلِمَاتِكَ

The one who endures your words

النَّاصِرِ لاَنْبِيَائِكَ

The supporter of your prophets

الْمُدَمِّرِ لِاعْدَآئِكَ

The destroyer of your enemies

اَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مِنْكَائِيْلَ

O God, bless Menkiel

مَلَكِ رَحْمَتِكَ

King of your mercy

وَ الْمَخْلُوْقِ لِرَأْفَتِكَ

And He was created for your compassion

وَ الْمُسْتَغْفِرِ الْمُعِيْنِ لِاَهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ

And the one who seeks forgiveness, the one who helps those who obey you.

اَللّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى اِسْرَافِيْلَ

O God, bless Israfil

حَامِل عَرْشِكَ

Bearer of your throne

وَ صَاحِبِ الصُّوْرِ

And the owner of the pictures

الْمُنْتَظِرِ لآمْرِكَ

The one who waits for your command

الْوَجِلِ الْمُشفِقِ مِنْ خِيفَتِكَ

The fear of your fear

اَللهُمّ صَلَّ عَلَى حَمَلَةِ الْعَرْشِ الطَاهِرِيْنَ،

O God, bless the pure bearers of the Throne,

وَ عَلَى السَّفَرَةِ الْكِرَامِ

And on the honorable table

الْبَرَرَةِ الطَّيِّبِيْنَ

The righteous and the good

وَ عَلَى مَلَائِكَتِكَ الْكِرَامِ الْكَاتِبِيْنَ

And upon Your noble angels who write

وَ عَلَى مَلَائِكَةِ الْجِنَانِ

And upon the angels of Paradise

وَ خَزَنَةِ النِّيْرَانِ

And the fire safe

وَ مَلَكِ الْمَوْتِ وَ الْاَعْوَانِ

And the angel of death and the helpers

يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْإِكْرَامِ

O Lord of Majesty and Dignity!

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى آَبِيْنَا آدَمَ

O God, bless our father Adam

بَدِيْعِ فِطرَتِكَ

Your nature is amazing

الَّذِيْ كَرَّمْتَهُ بِسُجُوْدِ مَلَائِكَتِكَ

whom you honored by the prostration of your angels

وَ اَبَخْتَهُ جَنَّتَكَ

And your Paradise rebuked him

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى أُمَّنَا حَوَّاءَ

Oh God, bless our mother Eve

الْمُطَهَّرَةِ مِنَ الرِّجْسِ

Purified from impurity

الْمُصَفَّاةِ مِنَ الدَّنَّسِ

Purified from filth

الْمُفَضَّلَةِ مِنَ الْاِنْسِ

The favorite of mankind

الْمُتَرَدِّدَةِ بَيْنَ مَحَالَ الْقُدْسِ

Frequent between the places of Jerusalem

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى هَابِيْلَ وَ شيْتِ

Oh God, bless Abel and Seth

وَ اِذْرِيْسَ وَ نُوْحٍ

And Idris and Noah

وَ هُوْدٍ وَ صَالِح

He is a gentleman and a righteous man

وَ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَ اِسْمَاعِيْل

And Abraham and Ishmael

وَ اِسْحَاقَ وَ يَعْقُوْبَ

Isaac, and Jacob!

وَ يُوْسُفَ وَ الْاَسْبَاطِ

And Joseph and the tribes

وَ لُوطِ وَ شُعَيْبٍ

And Lot and Shuaib

وَأَيُّوْبَ وَ مُوْسَىٰ

And Job and Moses

وَ هَارُوْنَ وَ يُوْشَعَ

And Aaron and Joshua

وَ مِيْشَا وَ الْخِضْرِ

And Misha and Al-Khidr

وَ ذِي الْقَرْنَيْنِ وَ يُوْنُسَ

And Dhul-Qarnayn and Yunus

وَ اِليَاسَ وَ اليَسَعِ

And Elias and Al-Yasa

وَ ذِي الْكِفْلِ وَ طَالَوْتَ

Dhul-Kifl and Talut

وَ دَاودَ وَ سُلَيْمَانَ

And David and Solomon

وَ زَكَرِيَّا وَ شَعْيَا

And Zechariah and Shia

وَ يَخْيَى وَ تَوْرَخ

And Yahia and Torah

وَ مَتَّى وَ اِرْمِيَا

And Matthew and Jeremiah

وَ حَيْقُوْقَ وَ دَانِيَال

And Hakkuk and Daniel

وَ عُزَيْرٍ وَ عِيْسَىٰ

And Uzair and Jesus

وَ شَمْعُوْنَ وَ جِرْجِيْسَ

And Simeon and George

وَ الْحَوَارِيِّيْنَ وَ الاَثْبَاعِ

And the disciples and the Ithba’

وَ خَالِدٍ وَ حَنْظَلَةً وَ لَقْمَانَ

And Khaled, and Hanzala, and Luqman

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَالِ مُحَمَّدٍ

O God, bless Muhammad and his family

وَ ارْحَمْ مُحَمَّدًا وَ آلْ مُحَمَّدٍ

And have mercy on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad

وَ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِ مُحَمَّدٍ

And bless Muhammad and his family

كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ وَ رَجِمْتَ [وَ تَرَحَمْتَ] وَ بَارَكْتَ عَلَى اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَ الِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ

Just as You prayed and stoned [and had mercy] and blessed Abraham and the family of Abraham.

اِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ

You are Praiseworthy and Glorious

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى الْأوْصٍيَاءِ وَ السُّعَدَاءِ

O God, bless the guardians and the happy ones.

وَ الشَّهَدَاءِ وَ اَئِمَّةِ الْهُدَىٰ،

And the martyrs and imams of guidance,

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلَّ عَلَى الْابْدَالِ وَ الْاوْتَادِ

O God, bless the foundations and the pegs

وَ السُّيَّاحِ وَ العُبَادِ

And tourists and worshipers

وَ الْمُخْلِصِيْنَ وَ الزَّهَّادِ

And the sincere ones and the ascetics

وَ آَهْلِ الْجِدَّ وَ الْاِجْتِهَادِ

And people of seriousness and diligence

وَ اخْصُض مُحَمَّدًا وَ اَهْلَ بَيْتِهِ بِاَفْضَلِ صَلَوَاتِكَ

And treat Muhammad and his family with the best of your prayers.

وَ اَجْزَل كَرَامَاتِكَ

And reward your generosity

وَ بَلَغْ رُوْحَهُ وَ جَسَدَهُ مِنَّي تَحِيَّةً وَ سَلَامًا

And convey my greetings and peace to his soul and body from me.

وَ زِذْهُ فَضْلَا وَ شَرَفًا وَ كَرَمَا

And this is virtue, honor, and generosity.

حَتَّىٰ تُبَلِّغَهُ اَعْلَى دَرَجَاتٍ اَهْلِ الشَّرَفِ

Until it reaches the highest levels of people of honor.

مِنَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ

Of the prophets and messengers

وَ الْاَفَاضِلِ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ

And the virtuous and close ones

اَللَّهُمَّ وَ صَلَّ عَلَى مَنْ سَمَّيْتُ وَ مَنْ لَمْ أسَمّ

O God, bless those whom I have named and those whom I have not named.

مِنْ مَلائِكَتِكَ وَ اَنْبِيَائِكَ

From your angels and your prophets

وَ رُسُلِكَ وَ اَهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ

And your messengers and your obedient people

وَ اَوْصِلْ صَلَوَاتِي اِلَيْهِمْ وَ إِلَى اَرْوَاجِهِمْ

And convey my prayers to them and to their souls.

وَ اجْعَلْهُمْ اِخْوَانِي فِيْكَ

And make them my brothers in you

وَ آَغْوَانِي عَلَى دُعَآئِكَ

And I was tempted by your supplication

اَللَّهُمّ إِنَّي اسْتَشفِعُ بِكَ إِلَيْكَ

And do not take me by surprise or out of heedlessness.

وَ بِكَرَمِكَ اِلَى كَرَمِكَ

And from your generosity to your generosity

وَ بِجُوْدِكَ اِلَى جُوْدِكَ

And with your generosity for your generosity

وَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ إِلَى رَحْمَتِكَ،

And by Your mercy to Your mercy,

وَ بِاَهْل طَاعَتِكَ اِليْكَ

And worthy of your obedience to you

وَ اَسْاَلُكَ اَللَّهُمَّ بِكُلِّ مَا سَاَلَكَ بِهِ اَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ

And I ask you, O God, for everything that one of them asked you about.

مِنْ مَسْالَةٍ شَرِيْفَةٍ غَيْرٍ مَرْدُوْدَةٍ

From an honorable issue that is not rejected.

وَ بِمَا دَعَوْكَ بِهِ مِنْ دَعْوَةٍ مُجَابَةٍ غَيْرِ مُخَيَّبَةٍ

And because of the invitation they called you with, which was answered and not disappointed.

يَا اللهُ يَا رَحمَانُ يَا رَجِيْمُ

O God, O Most Merciful, O Most Merciful

يَا حَلِيْمُ يَا كَرِيمُ يَا عَظِيْمُ

O Forbearing, O Generous, O Great

يَا جَلِيْلُ يَا مُنِيْلُ يَا جَمِيْلُ

Oh Jalil, O Manil, O Beautiful

يَا كَفِيْلُ يَا وَكِيْلُ يَا مُقِيْلُ

O guarantor, O agent, O protector

يَا مُجِيْرُ يَا خَبِيْرُ

O wise one, O expert

يَا مُنِيْرُ يَا مُبِيْرُ

Oh enlightening, oh enlightening

يَا مَنِيْعُ يَا مُدِيْلُ يَا مُجِيْلُ

O invincible, O moderate, O glorious

يَا كَبِيْرُ يَا قَدِيْرُ يَا بَصِيْرُ

O Great, O Powerful, O All-Seeing

يَا شَكُوْرُ يَا بَرُّ

O thankful, O righteous

يَا طُهْرُ يَا طَاهِرُ

O pure, oh pure

يَا قَاهِرُ يَا ظَاهِرُ

O conqueror, O apparent one

يَا بَاطِنُ يَا سَاتِرُ

Oh insider, oh cover

يَا مُحِيْطُ يَا مُقْتَدِرُ

O All-encompassing One, O Powerful One

يَا حَفِيْظُ يَا مُتَجَبَّرُ

O arrogant one, O arrogant one

يَا قَرِيْبُ يَا وَدُوْدُ

O near, O friendly

يَا حَمِيْدُ يَا مَجِيْدُ

O Praiseworthy, O Glorious

يَا مُبْدِئُ يَا مُعِيْدُ يَا شَهِيْدُ

O initiator, O restorer, O martyr

يَا مُحْسِنُ يَا مُجْمِلَ

O benefactor, O benefactor

يَا مُنْعِمُ يَا مُفْضِلُ

O Giver of blessings, O Bestower of favours!

يَا قَابِضُ يَا بَاسِطْ

O one who seizes, O one who extends

يَا هَادِيْ، يَا مُرْسِلَ

O guide, O sender

يَا مُرْشِدُ يَا مُسَدِّدُ

O guide, O guide

يَا مُعْطِي يَا مَانِعُ

O Giver, O Giver

يَا دَافِعُ يَا رَافِعُ

O pusher, O lifter

يَا بَاقِي يَا وَاقِيْ

O stayer, ya protector

يَا خَلَّاقُ يَا وَهَابُ

O creative, O Wahhab

يَا تَوَّابُ يَا فَتَاحُ

O Tawab, O Fatah

يَا نَفَّاحُ يَا مُرْتَاحُ

Oh Nafah, Oh Comfortable

يَا مَنْ بِيَدِهِ كُلَّ مِفْتَاحٍ

He in Whose Hand is every key!

يَا نَفَّاعُ يَا رَءُوْفُ يَا عَطُوْفُ

O Beneficial, O Compassionate, O Most Compassionate

يَا كَافِيْ يَا شَافِيْ

May God bless you for your blessings and your generous giving.

يَا مُعَافِيْ يَا مُكَافِيْ

Oh my healer, my rewarder

يَا وَفِيٌّ يَا مُهَيْمِنُ

O loyal, O dominant

يَا عَزِيْزُ يَا جَبَّارُ

Oh dear, oh mighty

يَا مُتَكَبَّرُ يَا سَلَامُ يَا مُؤْمِنُ

O arrogant, O peace, O believer

يَا اَحَدُ يَا صَمَدُ

O one, O Samad

يَا نُوْرُ يَا مُدَبِّرُ

O Light, O Controller

يَا فَرْدُ يَا وِثْرُ

O individual, O Uthar

يَا قُدُّوْسُ يَا نَاصِرُ

O Holy One, O Helper

يَا مُؤْنِسُ يَا بَاعِثُ يَا وَارِثُ

O supporter, O sender, O inheritor

يَا عَالِمُ يَا حَاكِهُ

O scholar, O storyteller

يَا بَادِيْ يَا مُتَعَالِي

O my Lord, O Most High

يَا مُصَوِّرُ يَا مُسَلَّمُ يَا مُتَحَبَّبُ

O formator, O Muslim, O beloved

يَا قَائِمُ يَا دَائِمُ

O All-steadfast! O Everlasting!

يَا عَلِيْمُ يَا حَكِيْمُ

O All-Knowing, O All-Wise

يَا جَوَادُ يَا بَارِئُ

O generous, O innocent

يَا بَارُّ يَا سَارُّ

O righteous, O delightful

يَا عَدْلُ يَا فَاصِلُ

Oh justice, oh decisive

يَا دَيَّانُ يَا حَنَّانُ يَا مَنَّانُ،

O Dayan, O Tenderness, O Manan,

يَا سَمِيْعُ يَا بَدِيْعُ

O Hearer, O Creator

يَا خَفِيْرُ يَا مُعِينُ [مُغَيِّرُ]

O Guardian, O Helper [changer]

يَا نَاشِرُ يَا غَافِرُ

O spreader, O forgiver

يَا قَدِيْمُ يَا مُسَهَلُ يَا مُيَشَّرُ

O eternal, O facilitator, O facilitator

يَا مُمِيْتُ يَا مُحْيِيْ

O the One who kills, O the One who gives life

يَا نَافِعُ يَا رَازِقُ

O Beneficiary, O Sustainer

يَا مُقْتَدِرُ [مُقَدِّرُ] يَا مُسَبِّبُ

O Almighty, O the Causer

يَا مُغِيْتُ يَا مُغْنِيْ يَا مُقْنِيْ

O my savior, O my singer, O my enabler

يَا خَالِقُ يَا رَاصِدُ يَا وَاحِدُ

O Creator, O Observer, O One

يَا حَاضِرُ يَا جَابِرُ

Oh present, oh Jaber

يَا حَافِظُ يَا شَدِيْدُ

O Hafiz, O Shadid

يَا غِيَاتُ يَا عَآئِدُ يَا قَابِضُ

O Ghayat, O Returner, O Grasp

يَا مَنْ عَلَا فَاسْتَعْلُى

O you who exalt yourself, exalt yourself

فَكَانَ بِالْمَنْظَرِ الْاَعْلَى

It was in the highest view

يَا مَنْ قَرُبَ فَدَنَا

O you who are close to our sacrifice

وَ بَعْدَ فَنَآَىٰ

And after he passed away

وَ عَلِمَ السِّرَّ وَ اَخْفَى

He knew the secret and hid it

يَا مَنْ اِلَيْهِ التَّذْبِيْرُ وَ لَهُ الْمَقَادِيْرُ

O to Him is the remembrance and to Him are the decrees.

وَ يَا مَنِ الْعَسِيْرُ عَلَيْهِ سَهْلْ يَسِيْرٌ

O one for whom it is difficult, it is easy for him.

يَا مَنْ هُوَ عَلَى مَا يَشَاءُ قَدِيْرٌ

O He who is Able to do what He wills

يَا مُرْسِل الرِّيَاحِ

Sender of the winds!

يَا فَالِقَ الْاِصْبَاحِ

O dawn of dawn

يَا بَاعِثَ الاَرْوَاحِ

Dispatcher of the spirits!

يَا ذَا الجُوْدِ وَ السَّمَاحِ

O You who are generous and generous

يَا رَادَّ مَا قَدْ فَاتَ

Oh Rad, what has passed

يَا نَاشِرَ الاَمْوَاتِ

O raiser of the dead

يَا جَامِعَ الشَّتَاتِ،

O gatherer of the diaspora,

يَا رَازِقَ مَنْ يَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ

O Provider of whomsoever He wills without reckoning.

وَ يَا فَاعِلَ مَا يَشَاءُ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ

O He who does what He wills as He wills.

وَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَ الْإِكْرَامِ

O Possessor of majesty and honor

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ

O Ever-living! O Self-Subsistent!

يَا حَيَّا حِيْنَ لَا حَيَّ

O living when there is no living

يَا حَيٌّ يَا مُحْيِيَ الْمَوْثِى

O living one, O living one

يَا حَيُّ لَا اِلْهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ

O Living One, there is no god but You

بَدِيْعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ

Creator of the heavens and the earth

يَا اِلهِيْ وَ سَيِّدِيْ

Oh my God and my master

صَلَّ عَلى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ الِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.

وَ ازْحَمْ مُحَمَّدًا وَ آلَ مُحَمَّدٍ

And crowd out Muhammad and his family

وَ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أُلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

And bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad

كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ وَ بَارَكْتَ وَ رَجِمْتَ [تَرَحَمْتَ] عَلَى اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَ الِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ

Just as You prayed and blessed and had mercy on Abraham and the family of Abraham.

اِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ

You are Praiseworthy and Glorious

وَ ازْحَمْ ذُلَي وَ فَاقَتِيْ

And crowd out my humiliation and my superiority

وَ فَقْرِيْ وَ انْفِرَادِيْ وَ وَحْدَتِي

And my poverty, and my loneliness, and my loneliness

وَ خُضُوْعِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ

And my submission is in your hands

وَ اعْتِمَادِيْ عَلَيْكَ

And my dependence on you

وَ تَضَرُّعِيْ اِليْكَ،

And I pray to you,

أَذْعُوْكَ دُعَاءَ الْخَاضِعِ الذَّلِيْلِ

I made you submit to the supplication of a submissive and humiliated person.

الْخَاشِعِ الخَائِفِ

The humble, fearful one

الْمُشفِقِ الْبَائِسِ

The miserable pity

الْمَهِيْنِ الْحَقِيْرِ

The humiliating and despicable one

الْجَائِعِ الفَقِيْرِ

The hungry, the poor

الْعَائِذِ الْمُسْتَجِيْرِ

The renter

الْمُقِرِّ بِذَنْبِهِ

The one who confesses his sin

الْمُسْتَغْفِرِ مِنْهُ

The one who seeks forgiveness from Him

الْمُسْتَكِيْنِ لِرَبَّهِ

The one who is in need of his Lord

دُعَاءَ مَنْ اَسْلَمَثْهُ ثِقَتُهُ [نَفْسُهُ]

The supplication of one whose trustworthiness [himself] is safe.

وَ رَفَضَتْهُ اَحِبَّثُهُ

And I rejected him and searched for him

وَ عَظُمَتْ فَجِيْعَتُهُ

And his distress was great

دُعَاءَ حَرِق حَزِيْنِ

A sad burning supplication

ضَعِيْفِ مَهِيْنِ

Weak and humiliating

بَآئِسِ مُسْتَكِيْنٍ

Poor wretch

بِكَ مُسْتَجِيْرٍ

I seek refuge in you

اَللهُمَّ وَ اسآَلُكَ بِانَّكَ مَلِيْكٌ

Oh God, I ask you that you are my king

وَ أَنَّكَ مَا تَشَاءُ مِنْ آَمْرٍ يَكُوْنُ

And that whatever you wish may happen.

وَ أَنَّكَ عَلَى مَا تَشَاءُ قَدِيْرٌ

God willing

وَ آَسْاَلَكَ بِحْزْمَةِ هَذَا الشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ

I ask you for the blessings of this sacred month.

وَ الْبَيْتِ الْحَرَامِ

And the Sacred House

وَ الْبَلَدِ الْحَرَامِ

And the forbidden country

وَ الرُّكْنِ وَ الْمَقَامِ

And the corner and the place

وَ الْمَشَاعِرِ الْعِظَامِ

And the great feelings

وَ بِحَقُّ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَ الِهِ السَّلَامُ

And by the right of your Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him

يَا مَنْ وَهَبَ لِآدَمَ شَيْتًا،

And those who targeted you targeted you

وَ لِاِبْرَاهِيْمَ اِسْمَاعِيْل وَ اِسْحَاقَ

And to Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac

وَ يَا مَنْ رَدَّ يُؤْسُفَ عَلَى يَعْقُوْبَ

O you who turned back the regret of Jacob

وَ يَا مَنْ كَشَفَ بَعْدَ البَلَاءِ ضُرَّ آَيُّوْبَ

O you who revealed after the calamity the harm of Job

يَا رَادَّ مُؤْسَىٰ عَلَى أُمِّهِ

Oh, the one who returned my sorrow to his mother

وَ زَآئِدَ الْخِضْرِ فِي عِلْمِهِ

And Zaid Al-Khidr in his knowledge

وَ يَا مَنْ وَهَبَ لِدَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانَ

And you who gave to David Solomon

وَ لِزَكَرِيَّا يَخيَىٰ

And to Zechariah Yahya

وَ لِمَزْيَمَ عِيْسَىٰ

And for the zeal of Jesus

يَا حَافِظَ بِنتِ شُعَيْبٍ

Oh Hafez bint Shuaib

وَ يَا كَافِلَ وَلَدِ أُمَّ مُؤْسَىٰ

O guarantor of the son of the mother of Moses

أَسْأَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلَّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ ألِ مُحَمَّدٍ

I ask you to bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad

وَ اَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذُنُوْبِيْ كُلَهَا

And that you forgive me all my sins

وَ تُجِيْرَنِي مِنْ عَذَابِكَ

And You have power over all things

وَ تُوْجِبَ لِي رِضْوَانَكَ وَ آَمَانَكَ

So bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad

وَ اِحْسَانَكَ وَ غُفْرَانَكَ وَ جِنَانَكَ

And your benevolence, your forgiveness, and your paradise

وَ اَساَلُكَ آَنْ تَفُكَّ عَنَّي كُلِّ حَلْقَةٍ

And I ask you to remove every link from me.

بَيْنِيْ وَ بَيْنَ مَنْ يُؤْذِيْنِيْ،

Between me and those who hurt me,

وَ تَفْتَحَ لِيْ كُلَّ بَابٍ

And every door opens for me

وَ ثُلَيَّنَ لِيْ كُلِّ صَغْبٍ

And every burden was made strong for me

وَ تُسَهَلَ لِي كُلَّ عَسِيْرٍ

And every difficult thing is made easy for me

وَ تُخْرِسَ عَنَّي كُلَّ نَاطِقٍ بِشَرِّ

And silence every evil speaker before me

وَ تَكُفَّ عَنِّيْ كُلّ بَاغٍ

And refrain from me every transgressor

وَ تَكْبِتَ [عَنَّي] كُلَّ عَدُوٍّ لِي وَ حَاسِدٍ

And you concealed [from me] every enemy and envier of mine.

وَ تَمْتَعَ مِنِّيْ كُلِّ ظَالِمِ

And every wrongdoer will enjoy me

وَ تَكُفِيَني كُلَّ عَائِقٍ يَحْوْلُ بَيْني وَ بَيْنَ حَاجَتِيْ

And every obstacle that comes between me and my need is sufficient for me.

وَ يُحَاوِلَ آَنْ يُفَرِّقَ بَيْنِيْ وَ بَيْنَ طَاعَتِكَ

And no one will lack it

وَ يُتَبَّطَنِيْ عَنْ عِبَادَتِكَ

And I am distracted from worshiping You

يَا مَنْ اَلْجَمَ الْجِنَّ الْمُتَمَرِّدِيْنَ

O you who restrained the rebellious jinn!

وَ قَهَرَ عُتَاةَ الشَّيَاطِيْنِ

And he defeated the mighty devils

وَ اَذَلَّ رِقَابَ الْمُتَجَبَّرِيْنَ

And humiliate the necks of the arrogant

وَ رَدَّ كَيْدَ الْمُتَسَلَّطِيْنَ عَنِ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِيْنَ

And he repelled the plots of the oppressed against the oppressed.

اَسْاَلُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ عَلَى مَا تَشَاءُ

If you show mercy to them

وَ تَسْهِيْلِكَ لِمَا تَشَاءُ كَيْفَ تَشَاءُ

And You make it easy for whatever you want, however you want.

آَنْ تَجْعَلَ قَضَاءَ حَاجَتِيْ فِيْمَا تَشَاءُ.

You can fulfill my needs however you wish.

Instructions

Then, you may prostrate yourself and try to stick your cheeks

Instructions

to the ground, saying the following:

اَللّهُمَّ لَكَ سَجَدْتُ

Oh God, I prostrate to You

وَ بِكَ آمَنْتُ

And in you I believed

فَارْحَمْ ذُلَي وَ فَاقَتِيْ

So have mercy on my poor and poor

وَ اجْتِهَادِيْ وَ تَضَرُّعِيْ

And my effort and my supplication

وَ مَسْكَنَتِيْ وَ فَقْرِيْ إِلَيْكَ يَا رَبَّ.

And my dwelling and my poverty are to You, O Lord.
