First: It is advisable to say the following supplicatory prayer each day in Rajab. It has been narrated that Imam Zayn al'Abidin (a.s.) used to say this supplicatory prayer on the first day of Rajab while he was imprisoned:
O He who fulfills the needs of those who ask
And He knows the conscience of those who are silent
For every question you have a present hearing.
And a common answer
Oh God, and your true promises
And your generous hands
And your wide palms
So I ask you to bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad
And to fulfill my needs in this world and the hereafter
Surely You possess power over everything.
